Having bpd to me is like I'm the loneliest person on the planet, no matter how many people I talk to, no matter how many connections I make or have, I'm a lonely void who will die alone. I have to be talking to someone or with someone every second of every minute of every day. I love people so much, I need people. There's so many people out there with different things to teach you. And then, if I have to talk to one person for more than 6 seconds today, I'll kill them. I'll kill myself. I need to be left alone for the rest of the day, I need no one but myself to be happy. I don't want to partake in anything with anyone because it's all draining and taking out of my alone time. Everyone is the same, they're all boring and self-absorbed. Every conversation feels like I'm forcing myself to be actively present. I just want to be alone in my room with nothing or no one. I don't see a future where I'm happy with anyone other than being by myself.

huge shoutout to rejection sensitive dysphoria and the attorney who mentioned that I'd misspelled "forfeiture" in my notes, ensuring that I will literally never misspell that word ever again. Thanks, it's just what I needed. I would have rather been shot, but this works also.

stories where the main character is a hopeful, optimistic pacifist in a bleak world usually takes one of two routes: one, everything works out for them. the world shifts to their kindness and they’re allowed easy routes on account of their morality. two, they’re torn apart by the story for being naive. their hope is something to mock and beat out of them and they can only grow once they abandon it.

then there is trigun.

trigun says that hope will hurt you. you will let people into your life that you shouldn’t have and they will leave you with scars. your obsession with trying to minimize the necessary conflict right in front of you will cause more damage than if you had just fought that battle. you can’t run from your past and all the times you’ve tried to be kind and failed. you can’t avoid hurting other people and you will have to live with that for the rest of your life.

but—

trigun says that there is so much kindness in all of us, and we are more likely to act on love than hate. no matter how many dark nights you’ve cried through, there are brighter tomorrows worth living for. if you want to be good, you can be good. love is what connects us and connection is how we save ourselves. we have to believe in each other. you are made of love. love is all we have.

#trigun means so much to me man.#it's about the very real consequences of pacifism in a way that i've seen other series ever tackle before #despite the fact that the audience can sympathize with his morality things...don't usually work out for vash.#by not taking action things often become worse and his guilt compounds further #but. but!#it is very telling that the villain of the series is the one who's made up his mind that an entire group of beings are inherently cruel #while it is the hero of the series who has seen that species' cruelty but fights for its kindness that he has seen too #vash's love is what makes him who he is. it's what makes him good #it's all that keeps him alive #and trigun invites you to share that with him #trigun #vash the stampede #millions knives #wolfwood #man.

#okay starting from the beginning of where ppl usually dislike him. apple woods chapter.#he doesn’t give hero/partner the CHANCE to explain themselves despite them being relatively good recruits up until that point.#and that legit might be my only gripe with that chapter bc!!! stories need conflict! I LIKE the conflict in apple woods!!!#hero and partner being punished so something they didn’t do!#the misunderstanding! how team skull (Skuntank) actually outplays the main duo with a clever yet rotten trick. I LOVE that it segways into-#one of the more sweeter scenes of guild members looking out for eachother. I LIKE APPLE WOODS CONFLICT.#but chatot just. not giving them a chance. is so dumb.#I’d personally fix this by having a lil montage of hero/partner fucking up on jobs. A LOT. and chatot giving them a pass every time.#and let the perfect apple incident BE the one where he puts his foot down and doesn’t listen to them. bc he’d given them loads of chances.#and doesn’t want to hear any excuse.#but yeah. I legit dont mind him during that chapter except for that really stupid and frustrating moment.#NOW. CHAPTER 17.#UGGGGHHH WHERE DO I BEGIN #Him not believing hero and Partner about Grovyle and the future being in ruin? FINE. ACTUALLY GOOD. BC CHATOT WOULD BE SKEPTIC.#IT FITS HIS CHARACTER!!#BUT WHAT DOES SUCK. IS HIM GOING ‘Dusknoir isn’t the bad guy. he didn’t do anything wrong’#WHEN HE LITERALLY KIDNAPPED HERO AND PARTNER RIGHT I N F R O N T OF HIM.#(NO LITERALLY. HIS CHARACTER IS IN THE FRONT ROW WHEN IT HAPPENED.)#and him. having the GALL to tell hero and partner they must’ve been ‘seeing things’ and downplaying the HELL they went through.#despite them being missing for hours/days. his own guild recruits. and his angry sprite showing up.#like. I think that’s when I genuinely despised him.#that and him going ‘OH I BELIEVED YOU THE WHOLE TIME HEEHOO :)’ shit was so fucking annoying.#just playing it off as a joke the second the guild started to believe hero and partner.#IMAGINE IF HE W A S ACTUALLY TESTING THE GUILD’S TRUST. #text #literally the only one that could come close to working out is as a book but even then it wouldnt be as good #since youd just be sitting and watching things happen instead of 'choosing' to follow the story (and being powerless to change anything)#the fact that you are INSIDE the characters is the entire point #this is what i was saying before #sometimes a game isnt only a game bc it was 'cheaper than making a movie' and it was 'all the devs could afford'#sometimes. the fact that you are interacting with the environment. that YOU are making those choices #that you are seeing things from the pov of the player character #thats like... vital to the story #and just saying 'oh it should be a movie!' makes it seem like you see the medium as just A Method Of Saying Shit #and not something that is usually chosen very specifically to get the most emotional impact #the fact that YOU are jimmy and you slowly realise he isnt that great despite his unreliable narration is THE WHOLE POINT #and. also. PLEASE tell me how you think the opening scene would work in a format where you can SEE what is happening #if all you SEE are featureless silhouettes then itd be obvious theyre trying to hide something from you #and youd figure out the twist within the first 5 minutes

Going to hazard it's not a great sign for your obvious party nominee when a substantially non-zero portion of your own party's voters come out to make a point of informing everyone that they are not voting for you, even if they have done so multiple times previously, and pledge to support the incumbent president of the opposite party if/when you win the nomination.

#hilary for ts #politics for ts #we literally knew from the jump that trump would be the nominee #that’s not a surprise #what strikes me from IA and now NH is that there *are* a minority (but not insignificant amount) of republican voters who Are Not Doing It #which... etc etc republicans usually rally around the standard #but also the haley voters seem pretty determined they're not going back to trump #88% of NH haley voters would not support trump being the nominee #now look haley sucks #but she sucks in an establishment republican way #and not a trump way #so it does seem empirically inarguable that trump has in fact gone too far for plenty of core GOP voters #and that winning the ever dwindling amount of cult votes (as expected) will not help in the GE #meanwhile biden cruised to victory despite not even being on the ballot #can we get rid of dean phillips now lol #anyway etc etc tea leaves but i think it is interesting this has happened twice in a row #trump is bitterly toxic to everyone who is not still a devoted cultist #and they seem ready to stand behind this #which i will cautiously optimistically bode as a good sign for november #we will see
