Are you a DCU fan upset about the events happening in Gaza? Want to help raise money for Palestinians and contribute to the creation of more DCU fanworks? Then this is the event for you!

DCU Commissions for Palestine is a fan-led event inspired by many other successful fandom events that have raised money for Palestinians causes. This event will bring together fan artists and writers who will offer fanworks in exchange for donations.

Creator signups: July 1-15

Commissions open: July 20-August 10

Posting begins: August 17

We will be looking for DCU fan artists and writers. Any part of the DCU fandom is welcome- even crossovers!

Rules will be explained when we post the creator signup forms. Want to help in the meantime? Follow this account, reblog this post, and spread the word to all the DCU fans in your life! We are also currently accepting volunteers who want to help run/promote the event, and any physical item donations (DCU physical fanart, merch, comics, etc.). If you want to help run or promote the event or donate a physical item, just shoot us a message and we will be happy to provide you with more information! And of course, you do not need to wait for the event to support Palestine. The situation in Gaza grows more dire every day, and we encourage you to donate to any vetted fundraisers and charities if you have the means. Here is a list with some options.

general info:

— commissions are paid for through a donation to any of the options listed on the dcufans4palestine's carrd. while this commission sheet is for a dc centered event, i'd also be willing to do stuff for marvel (and possibly invincible and dead by daylight). at around 70%-80% completion (with copymarked wips along the way if you want. to see how the process is going) you must send proof of donation and then I'll handle the finished piece likely a day or two afterwards.

— you can contact me here on dms, or more preferably at robo.bud (discord). please reach out to me before sending money through as i'd like to access whether i'd be comfortable and/or able to take on your commission.

— writing and art will likely take around 3-5 days, especially as i'm doing a monthly art challenge at the same time right now. i only have 4 slots open (0/4).

— nsfw pieces aren't something i've done much, but i'd be willing to try with a $5 discount. (unless you're commissioning something already priced at $5) only for 18+.

— i have examples linked, but most of everything is older stuff since i haven't posted much for awhile.

— if there's a * symbol beside a point, it means you should discuss exactly what you want from me and we can talk prices.

— $5: around 0.5k words.

— $10: around 1.5k words.

— $15: around 2.0k words.

I am opening fanfiction commissions for the first time for @dcufans4palestine.

Here's how it works:

You can contact me at @hurricanebreeze, @diamondsnowflakes or on Discord (my user is hurricanebreeze). Please talk to me about your request before you do anything else.

Commissions are paid for through a donation to any of the Donation Options listed on the dcufans4palestine's Carrd. I will only start work on your commission after I have proof of donation. For more information on how you donate, see the Donor Guide.

How It Works - Creators

Creators can sign up now through July 15. All DCU creators welcome. Any parts of the DCU fandom are welcome (including crossovers). ALL types of fan works are welcome, including digital art and fanfiction (if you wish to donate a physical item, such as physical art or merch, please reach out to us).

Creators will have complete control over what they offer. Before July 20, creators will be expected to create commission sheets. Here is a guide on making a commission sheet. We will share all of these commission sheets on the tumblr page and in a masterpost.

Creators can begin posting their creations on August 17. This is NOT a deadline, but the whole week will be a celebration of everyone’s hard work. We will be sharing everyone’s completed works, the total amount raised, and more! We will continue to share completed commissions after this week. There are no specific deadlines, but we ask that creators be upfront with donors about their timeline. Creations should be posted on tumblr and there will also be an ao3 collection for fics.

Fanfic commissions for Palestine now open!

I know I said I won't take commissions on this blog but we all know I love to break the rules for causes I believe in so here we go!

As part of the @dcufans4palestine event, I will be opening up fanfic commissions from now until August 10th.

Since I have a sizable following and I want to be able to fulfill what I say, I'll be limiting it to 5 commissions with a 1.5k word maximum for the time being, and it'll be first-come, first-serve. And so it's fair to everyone, each person can only commission 1 work. If I'm able, I may open up a few more slots down the road.

Slots available: 2/5 (as of August 10th)

Each fanfic commission will be a flat rate of $5.00 USD donated to any of the charities linked here. To do so, make a donation and send a screenshot to this Google Form. Additionally, please message @dcufans4palestine so they can verify your donation and put us in touch.

I'll cover the humor, fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, and character study genres.

All stories will take place in the mainline comic universe by default. If you would like me to use a different continuity or want to request an AU, please DM me before making a donation so I can let you know if it's a viable option.

Things I will NOT write:

NSFW, explicit or implied

Violence beyond canon-typical

Fandom crossovers. If you're not sure whether your idea counts, DM me

Multi-part fics. All commissions will be one-shots

BONUS: If you want a custom Spotify playlist (20 songs) to go with your fic, you can add an additional $3.00 USD to your donation. Please indicate that in your donation form and leave a note in my DMs. Playlists will not be made without a fanfic commission.

All fics will be posted the week of August 17th to Tumblr and the event's Ao3 collection. Donors will be tagged on Tumblr and gifted on Ao3 unless otherwise specified. Donors will also receive a copy of their fic on Google Docs, a link to their private playlist (if applicable), and a personalized thank you/roast you note where I vibe check your blog.
