iirc oisin actually messaged adaine to say sorry, so no one else heard it. was this bc he didn't want the other ratgrinders to hear him say it? did he want it to be more private and sincere than a standoff in the cafeteria? from his actions in the plan (the ping pong balls, stealing adaine's ice mephits at that party, using one hand to plane shift kipperlily, bringing in his dragon relatives to fight) and him making fun of buddy in his dms with ivy it seems like his rage manifested as calculated and mean as opposed to kipperlily's blatant aggression. very similar to ivy except he hid it better. when i started this ask i did headcanon that he was genuine in that apology but the more i think about it im not so sure. if only he didnt get taken out immediately

Oh yeah that's true!! I completely forgot it was a Message, but yeah you're right. Honestly yeah echoing your sentiment about wishing he didn't get taken out immediately. I wish we got to learn more abt ALL the Rat Grinders in the finale, but alas.

My first instinct is to definitely think it was so the other Rat Grinders wouldn't hear, because he'd have to know that Adaine would tell the other Bad Kids he apologized once he was out of earshot. As a calculated ploy though to make himself seem more genuine, we know so little about Oisin's genuine feelings on the Bad Kids that it's hard to say one way or the other. It's such a small, indirect thing he does, and like the SECOND ever interaction he has with Adaine, I don't think it was a part of some long-term grand master scheme to endear himself to her. I'm inclined to believe it was genuine if only because of that, because like I said in my other Oisin post there are way better ways to ingratiate yourself to someone than indirect actions or "sorry"s that give no other information. He's VERY calculated in a way that he's constantly misdirecting and minimizing his influence, shifting blame onto people other than himself, so making himself the center of attention of Adaine just to mislead her may not even be his style.

If I had to say, for now I think that in the cafeteria he was originally going to say something that would have needled Adaine a bit (most of the Rat Grinders had been antagonizing their designated Bad kid that interaction) but when Adaine spoke positively about him he immediately felt guilty about it, and instead pivoted to an apology instead. I think he's genuine in his apology, but was maybe calculated enough about it to know that he couldn't apologize in front of his friends because he knows how they feel about them, and instead made moves to move them all away from the table and end the conflict entirely, as opposed to before when he was just giving weak protests.

The more and more I think about it, because it has been bugging me for a minute, I think the reason why Rhaesaria can happen and Rhaenicent can't -and probably never will- is that Rhaenicent is just too big of an ask. It's too much of a canon divergence and an incredibly massive one at that. They've already changed so much from the books to make their relationship what it is in the show but actually putting Rhaenyra and Alicent together in a romantic relationship would literally derail the plot. Like I literally can't think of a way they could put them together and still accurately portray the Dance. I really don't think it's feasible. Rhaesaria however, can happen because it literally affects nothing, in the grand scheme of things. Nothing about and around the two of them changes. With Rhaenicent, you'd have restructure so many things (again) to not only make it possible but believable to the greater audience. Especially given where the story is right now. The bad fanfiction slander that would further arise from making them cannon would practically snuff out the show. And that's why I believe their relationship can only, and always will be, just subtext.

Something something reuse how I thought for Security Breach we'd play as Vanessa and the five nights formula was doing the shift but slowly discovering through each shift that Some Shit is happening and she has to stop it (directly before we found out Vanessa was Vanny/Vanessa was the security guard's name)

LIKE!!! I fucking adore how a couple of standout mascot horror games have been [primarily Indigo Park, I'm willing to give it a shot and it's deadass because of Rambley and his role as an AI assistant], but a lot of what I've seen personally (stares at. Fucking. Garten of Banban), it's a lot of post fall. Always investigating or going through the abandoned place where shit's gone wrong (thank you BATIM for starting the chapter-based formula -bangs head-)

But like. I've always thought about what it would be like for a mascot horror game to take place before the fall, or even during it depending on the execution.

Before the fall, you're either a kid who's a regular at the establishment (daycare, amusement park, whatever) or even an employee working there-

(or even MORE interestingly, if we go with a chapter-based thing or even similar to FNAF in terms of there's a set thing for whatever, the POV keeps changing between different people- wait I'm cooking. i'll get back to that later actually)

-And slowly as it all develops, you watch as everything begins to just. Fall apart. Employees leaving, the place coming down into disrepair, something's up with the main mascots of the place but you don't know what (at least in universe, we all know this formula as players)

Actually, coming back to the changing POVs, you can even draw in inspiration from DBH (I only watched gameplay back then oops) where the perspective changes between different people. A child enjoying their day, a first time employee, a long time employee, a parent of a child. Hell, depending on things, you could even have a moment where (depending on the location) you play as a fucking burglar looking to steal shit (before getting. Fucking bass boosted)

And eventually there'd come the inevitable end where it all closes down, leaving whatever living mascots inside to rot (insert Abandoned by Disney line here /j)

LIKE!!! I want to see people expand on the formula!! I want to see people fuck around and find out!!!

With Fit's most recent lore we know that there is an inactive island called Vacuus (meaning literally 'empty'). This is where Madagio lives and is HIS island. The feds did something to his island and he wants to bring Fit there to show him what they did to it, to hopefully convince him to continue to help with the mission.

What if Madagio was an island leader. Similar to the Duck or the Rabbit?

What if he fucked something up and the turned it into 'Vacuus'?

What if Madagio is actually the good guy here?

He's asking for Fit to get everyone's data so that one way or another, the residents of Quesadilla Island don't end up like they did on his. He's collecting the data to help the others evacuate eventually. At the end of Quesadilla Island, they can escape to Vacuus. Those that want to go back can, back to their life, to where they were. But those that want to stay, they can.

like he just doesnt know them like that. he hasnt spent the time w either of them to know them like that. and illegal items are a thing that can grow very complicated very fast so to risk either of them not wanting to be involved in it and accidentally leaking it to other people is just too big. although illegal enchants isnt gamebreaking or Too insane of an exploit, there is still just so much thats able to be done w it in general and content wise that the risk of involving too many others is too much. the more people know, the more likely it is that itll be leaked and patched much sooner.

its out of no malice or massive distrust to either rek or jumper bc while i do think that its more likely he wouldve been fine keeping it as a secret between him and 4c, or perhaps even FOCUS as a whole, i dont think he would object to involving either of them. if 4c mentioned bringing rek into it, i think he wouldve went along w the idea just fine!! my thing is that i dont know if he wouldve ever told/involved them if the decision was left to him without 4c bringing it up. bc i also think that if ro had gone w him to end bust, then 4c would have felt confident in contacting and getting rek involved in things bc he does trust rek!! and if rek's teammate was already involved, it would provide 4c that extra boost to involve another person for contents sake if anything bc having a group of people who all share a secret is extremely compelling !!

I think all of these "Vento Aureo is not realistic mafia shit" can be solved when you realize that... Well, Araki was probably not thinking about Italian mafia type of gangsters when he wrote it. Like I'm almost 100% sure he was thinking about Bloods and Crips kind of gangsters, we already know he was into gangsta rap at the moment he wrote V.A, so I think what he did is he applied what he knew into... the Italian Mafia instead of like, Atlanta U.S.A, and added a pinch of gangster movie dynamics.
