Reminder that we are traumagenic and syscourse is just a stressor for us and we fully do not care about it~ we are just writing words in our handwriting and looking at a word you disagree with upsets you- you can scroll
Writing a word ≠ endorsement
Double reminder~ we are bodily an adult just trying to survive in this economy~ syscourse is stupid- leave it at the door
Traumagenic — stope fake-claiming
Multigenic — Tulpa

If I could fly away, I would, Build a wall around myself, And dissolve. To be something new, To be something beautiful, To be something else entirely. I would embrace the sun, New colors, new wings, And I would be my own.
— "Cocon", an in-world poem in metamorphosis, a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir fanfiction by peachcitt.

sometimes when i'm making a post someone cocon will say something snippy or mean abt the post (or maybe its an intrusive thought? idk i can never tell) so i'll send myself an ask on anon with whatever the alter said like its hatemail and respond as myself clowning on them. everyones chill with it, it helps us get a lot of our negativity out and function better as a system, esp if its the self doubt holder saying shit and other tumblr users reply like "thats messed up anon" bc it kinda disproves whatever selfdoubt shit theyre spewing? also sometimes it feels like i shut down whatever pissing on the poor comment i could get from Actual hate anons before they even get sent
tldr i send myself hate anons with whatever persecutors say in cocon because its fun

We live in a cultural cocoon, perceiving reality through a cultural prism. Our political views are shaped by journalistic reports and the opinions of friends. Our sexual habits are influenced by what we hear in stories and see in movies. Even the way we walk and breathe is shaped by cultural traditions, such as the military discipline of soldiers and the meditative exercises of monks. Until recently, the cultural cocoon in which we lived was woven by other people. In the future, it will increasingly be created by computers. © Harari

Etape

#post: 2025 reading thread#hello coconation i am trying to get back into the swing of things!!#i have knocked off 3/25 books on my 25 in 2025 list so far <3#i can see why people love writers & lovers! and i think the way lily king wrote about grief really resonated with me#i really liked casey as a character but sometimes i was very frustrated with her i'm not going to lie!#the art of memory collecting ... unfortunately i fell victim to craftok's influences ... and i do not think it really taught me anything ne#but it is very pretty and i'm sure i'll look at it if i need inspo or something ... in the future ... at some point. ... maybe.#tom lake. wow oh my. my first ann patchett and i adored it; a beautifully written book made even better by meryl streep's audio narration#slower paced than what i'd normally enjoy but i never lost interest + honestly felt like one of the girls themselves#just sitting and listening to a story of my mom's past + trying to figure out what was next and trying to get a better understanding of her#and her choices it was just so brilliant and i loved it so#and then of course i had to reread our town <333333#(and also watch the 1940 film after that but that is not the point here)#i also want to say that it is very clear that ann patchett loves our town + molded tom lake around it in a very careful + tender way#and then i read beloved by toni morrison and i had chills the entire time and it was brilliant & i will be thinking about it for a long tim
