zombie ul fic i haven’t finished and might not finish

It’s wet and cold, the boy thought as he kept digging. He dug until he felt his hand touch the surface, He gripped the wet soil/ grass as if making sure he was almost done digging. He was so very tired but he was so close to being free. He pulled himself out entirely gasping for air, something he didn’t need yet something he craved. He had pulled half of his body out of the wet ground before his vision adjusted to the dark sky’s around him. The rain poured lightly over the young boy as he turned his head. The graveyard around him looked empty. “Why am I the only one here?” he thought to himself. The boy pulled himself up and out of the ground completely with a few groans filling the air. He got on his knees trying to stand up yet it simply didn’t happen. He instead fell, his body was weak having been away for so long he couldn’t remember basic things such as walking or talking. While resting on his knees his vision still hadn’t yet adjusted; he crawled feebly touching his own headstone. He brushed over the cold wet stone before he reached his arm out grabbing onto the one next to him. They were close enough together it wasn’t hard to reach over so he scooted to his right, never letting go of the tombstone by his side. His hands grazing lightly over the engraved text “D-A—L-I” he tried to say aloud. He had already known his father was gone yet all he could do was press his head on the stone with tears welling up in his eyes. “father..” he whispered before he looked up eagerly crawling to the next grave with shaky hands he traced over the words “R-A-P-H-A-E—L” he spelled out in a hushed whisper before sobbing the once pent up emotion spilled out. He didn’t know why he didn’t react to his brother's death at first many years ago, yet now he hunched over sobbing, his head pressed against the stone with defeated sobs filling the air. He cradled himself on the grave where his brother laid to rest his hand reaching out to touch the place where Dali rested as well. He wished for comfort he wished for Sophie.

Ul Delico recalled his last moments alive how he wished to be reborn with Sophie and in a sick twisted way; he was reborn just not as the dhampir boy he once was. He looked at his hands; how his fingertips no longer held flesh, his skin had decayed showing his bones he couldn’t feel warmth anymore at least he didn’t believe so.

“Father… Raphael” he said sitting up “I have to leave you once again but I'll be safe. I promise you I'm not that little crybaby anymore." With a bitter smile Ul delico stood, his legs were still quite weak but he finally found the courage to leave to face this strange changing world because he knew Sophie would be there unchanged and safe from the constraints of time.

“I wonder where to start..?” Ul thought to himself walking slowly down the path. He faced the graves reading each name following a very distant memory, a brief time he might’ve spent with them deep down he knew most of those moments were insincere. He felt different and his mindset had changed. He chalked it up to the fact he’s been dead for a long time but it felt like it was even more than that. A feeling he couldn’t dwell too much on as he passed the fence into the woods. “Hello..?” he called, turning around, almost stumbling forward. “Gah!” he yelped before leaning against the tree.

“So slow movements are good… fast ones make me dizzy” he recounted to himself. This would be a very long trip, he said tilting his head to the side. Some fog filled the air leaving Ul in a haze. He faced the person standing just a few feet away from himself and froze.
