ADVICE FOR NEWLY DISCOVERED OR SUSPECTED SYSTEMS
if you suspect you may be a system or have recently discovered that youre a system, things can be confusing and hard. im making this post as someone who has been aware of being a system for about 5 years and has been diagnosed for 2. these are things i wish we knew and did. i hope it will be helpful to some of you and i wish you luck on discovering things about yourself and your system keep in mind everyone is different and systems are no exception, so what i list here might be incredibly beneficial for one person but do nothing for another. find what works for you. i will try to provide a variety of advice in order for you to see what fits you best DO YOUR RESEARCH research the disorder, try to find others experiences and things you think would help you. this is especially helpful if you are suspecting and not yet sure if you have it, researching symptoms and others experiences can be very helpful in determining START SYMPTOM LOGGING this can be as simple as "i blacked out today" or "i dont feel like myself right now", you dont have to be identifying switches or putting names to alters, theres no rush to be able to do that and some systems have no desire to do that symptom logging is useful because it can help you identify potential triggers and patterns in your symptoms. for example, if you can remember what happened before a period of amnesia and remember being exposed to a stressful event or something potentially triggering, this would be worth writing down to see if its a recurring pattern REACH OUT TO OTHER ALTERS this can be done in a variety of ways, but the easiest way would be to leave a note in a place itll be seen. for example, a sticky note on a mirror (if you live with other people and cant do this, try leaving a note on your phone in a frequently checked app) i would advise saying something along the lines of "hello, i am (name) and i would like to communicate with you. i suspect we have a disorder called (DID/OSDD) and we share the same body and mind. please write back to me in (location, can be a notebook or app etc) and tell me some about yourself if you feel comfortable" but you can say whatever works for you. i just think the main points to cover are having DID/OSDD and introducing yourself as well as asking for an introduction in return START WORKING ON COMMUNICATION this takes a lot of practice, so i always say its better to build up early rather than late. we have a whole post on it that can be found here REMINDERS AND THINGS TO REMEMBER if you do not remember your trauma, do not dig for it. it isnt safe to try to remember trauma without professionals help. if you happen to remember, thats one thing, but dont intentionally seek out triggers to try to remember denial is common and not a sign of faking, if you were faking you would know and would not be in denial. being wrong about having DID/OSDD (if you are suspecting but not sure) is not the same as faking no two systems are the same. you dont have to look exactly like some other system you know or online to be real its normal to not know everything right away. you wont know all your alters immediately, you may not be able to access (and you may not have) your innerworld, you probably wont remember all of your trauma without professionals help, etc. its all normal its totally ok to keep information about your system private. there is no need to share with anyone you do not feel completely safe and comfortable with switching at any frequency is normal, there is no "correct" amount to switch. any amount of alters is normal, there is no "correct" amount of alters. any level of amnesia is normal, there is no "correct" level of amnesia apps like simply plural and bots like pluralkit can be incredibly helpful for some systems, but there is absolutely no pressure to use them if you do not feel comfortable - grey

Hi, I hope this isn't a bother. I'm trying to make a dating sim and want to have a section where the player inputs their pronouns (like you gave the option to in Dial Town). Despite my hours of effort though, I can't figure out how to do it. I'm using Visual Novel Machinery for Unreal Engine (because Unreal is required for the class I'm making this for). Even if you aren't familiar with it though, just the basic 'pull code from here and input there' would be so helpful. I'm sure I can piece it together in a way Unreal will understand with a bit of help. Legit though, I made unreal crash twice when I tried to run the initial code for it, so I'm at a loss. Side note: Your games are so awesome and a big part of why I want to make a dating sim to begin with. I wish you all the peace and love on planet earth!
Hello hello:
The trick is using a string for every instance of a pronoun in player dialogue (which is just a variable set of letters.) They, them, their, theirs, etc. Be careful when you set the system up as some pronouns don't conjugate for all cases. For instance, their and theirs are separate words, as are her/hers, but his uses the same word for both pronouns.
You also have to account for case too. This is how I set it up (this is all done right when the pronoun is first entered btw):
1)let the user input a pronoun for each option. each pronoun is a different string, one for each pronoun type (you'll see my list below)
2)i then use a script command right after that to turn all of the pronoun strings entered to lower case. This is account for players possibly capitalizing the first letter in the pronoun instinctively. IE: characters won't say: "Hey, where's He going?" instead of "he going?", which is correct.
How you convert to lowercase is different for each programming language, but I bet there's an equivalent command in UE.
3)Then I copy each pronoun twice, essentially creating two duplicates for each lower case pronoun (so there's now 3 identical pronouns for her, three for hers, etc.)
4)For the second set, I run a command that capitalizes the first and only first letter of each separately (this is useful for if a sentence starts with a pronoun, meaning the first letter would be upper case in that sentence. EG: His cowboy hat looks RIDICULOUS.)
5)for the third set, i then turn the whole string upper case. this is useful for if a character speaks in all caps or if the character is shouting/emphasizing. (EG: "Where's HE going?!")
At the end, this is what my list of strings looks like, hopefully helping you visualize what I've done:
Then, when a pronoun is referenced in dialogue, I use the string that matches the correct version of the pronoun I need. So for he, i use #6 normally, #12 if it's the start of a sentence and #18 if the character is shouting. it's good to keep a list like this handy so you don't have to go looking every time you write dialogue.
The big other thing to watch out for is how plural pronouns affect verbs. He and she IS, but they ARE. I have the player tell the game whether or not their pronoun of choice is plural after they're entered it in and then simply load two separate versions of each sentence with one set for ises and one for ares.
You can also make some more blank name variables to use for verbs and have the game check if the pronoun's plural and then reference a string like with the pronouns (ie, having a string for is that changes to are if plural and using that in dialogue.) Both solutions generally work and I use both for different situations in dialogue.
Beyond that, I can't really give any engine specific advice, but this is how I do it. Best of luck with your game! :)

Harmless Personal Identity coining
Since the term I crafted has been picking up steam in a couple places, I decided it's time to make a official post for it and propose a flag. I'm not good at making flags and you're welcome to redesign the above one if you like this term.
Harmless Personal Identity (HPI) is an umbrella term meant to describe personal identities that people might assign to themselves, coin for others, make pride flags for, and so on, but not any identities that inherently cause harm. If an identity checks the following boxes, it can be called a Harmless Personal Identity.
Harmless: It doesn't encourage predatory behavior, racism, ableism, transphobia etc just by existing.
The identity is being labeled because it makes the person using it comfortable. Not to harm others by deceiving them. For example: LGBT people and systems are not intending to deceive others and simply want to live as they are. This doesn't mean that the term in question is completely free of criticism or couldn't be used in bad faith—I think every term that's ever been coined could be used in bad faith. This means that it may be unusual or strange, especially to people who aren't familiar with the social groups/contexts the term was coined in, but the definition doesn't encourage people to appropriate culture, speak over people of color, commit inc-st/p-dophilia/z-ophilia, or otherwise cause harm to themselves or another living being as part of that identity.
Example: "Transhawaiian" is not an HPI, because by virtue of it existing the coiner and anyone who uses this term are saying that "Hawaiian" is a feeling someone can decide they feel and apply to themself at will, instead of the racial minority that "Hawaiian" actually is.
Personal: Identities which are wholly self-determined and locatable only within that person's interaction with and relations to the world around them.
In general—Other people cannot determine your internal view of yourself because they cannot be you, therefore your identity is personal! Someone who's unfamiliar with xenogenders may tell me that I cannot be -insert gender- because -thing- isn't a gender, but my gender is inside me and I cannot possibly give them the ability to feel it for me. It is located only within me.
This includes labels that get called "contradictory", like identifying as a lesbian and a man at the same time. If you're not familiar with multigender and multisexual lesbian spaces that might sound strange, but gender+presentation and orientation labels are purely self-defined—they are the coiner/anyone who uses that term saying "this is how I would describe my attraction to -insert gender here-," "this is how I would describe my gender that only I can feel inside my head and can't physically show to someone else," and so on. A bisexual lesbian's identity is not saying that all lesbians are bisexual or that they should identify that way; It is saying that that individual determined themself to be bisexual and lesbian.
(This does not extend to, again, racism and cultural appropriation. Queer labels are a self-defined thing, whereas racial and ethnic identity and things like congenital disorders can have self-defined aspects but are largely on a completely different quadrant of identity and can't be "decided" in the same way that queer labels can.)
Identity: A self-applied label or understanding of yourself.
This one is straightforward mostly. I would like to note that this does include things like reclaimed slurs and derogatory words, since in those cases, it's that person who's been called that word choosing "you know what? I AM a -slur- and I love myself for it!" instead of it being used to put them down.
Ok, so what identities specifically?
MOGAI (xenogenders, neogenders, neo/newly coined orientations, presentation terms, neopronouns+etc)
Alterhuman (the entire alterhuman umbrella, excluding any culturally appropriative behavior)
Most plural culture/coined terms for plural experiences
Other identity umbrellas (Dissomei, desirdae, reclaimed xenoidentities, xenonatures, neurowiry,+etc)
And so on. Is it not a radqueer, transrace, transx, etc term or would you call it a "good faith identity"? It most likely fits here.
This also includes a category of personal identity I've been seeing more and more lately, which are these uncategorized identifications with specific words that have pride flags. Some examples: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
Ok, cool, do I identify as this?
You would say "I use harmless personal identities"/"I support harmless personal identities"/I coin harmless personal identities"+etc. This is less an identity and more of a faster way to describe these identities.
TD;LR— Identities that are probably niche, but don't harm people like radqueer/transid/transrace/transabled do.
Tagging: @gender-jargon | @neopronouns | @radiomogai | @kiruliom | @aspectsofidentity | @beyond-mogai-pride-flags | @neopronouns | @antiradqueerguy
Alt flags and more things are beneath the cut:
Two alternative flag ideas which I abandoned, but you can use if you want.
The phrasing "locatable only within your interaction with and relations to the world around you" came from a Tumblr post by txttletale (lost link). This term and the author have no affiliation with them, I just thought it was a wonderful way to phrase this concept. This would later inspire me to coin the term History Inclusionist, which then led to me sort of backwards-coining HPI to describe it.
You don't have to be a History Inclusionist to use the term HPI and I won't tell you not to interact with me if you aren't one.
I might make subset flags later. Maybe?
[11/21/2024] I forgot to add that @kiruliom helped me adjust the flag colors. Thank you.

Of Cupcakes and Skulls | Part 9
(A/N) I'm back! I think! Sorry for the month-long absence. A lot happened, but I think I'm back in the groove. This one is a bit on the shorter side, but I still hope you like it!!
Pairing: single dad! Mafia! Simon x baker! Reader
Warning: kissies, fluff, Simon is fucking smitten, a lot of money spending, little spice
Synopsis: Based on this post by @lunamoonbby
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9
Once you had picked up Millie and Johnny, Simon drove everyone home. In the car, children’s music was blasting, Millie, Johnny, and you loudly singing along, while Simon just smiled, his hand placed on your thigh. When you arrived back in the garage, Millie was tired from all the shenanigans in the car and Johnny had to carry her upstairs.
“Let her nap for a bit, but not too long,” Simon mumbled quietly, authority but also adoration filled his voice.
Johnny nodded and sent you a grin before he walked off with Millie in his arms. Immediately, Simon’s arms found their way around your waist, pulling you against him.
“I don’t like the way he looks at you,” he growled, his eyes still fixed on the retreating back of his employee.
You chuckled, leaning into him, with a grin on your face.
“I think that’s exactly why he does it.”
Simon grumbled something under his breath before he placed a light kiss against your temple and led you to the elevator. Johnny and Millie were already upstairs, so you had the elevator to yourself. While you were lifted to the penthouse, you quietly hummed along to the elevator music, a soft smile on your lips as you just enjoyed being with Simon. He was your savior through and through and you had never felt safer or more comfortable.
Too soon, the elevator dinged, and the doors slid open. The two of you walked into the apartment, and without realizing it, you let Simon lead you to his office. Once in the room, he closed the door behind you and pulled you to the couch against the opposing wall, making sure you were sitting on his lap. A heavy sigh escaped his lips, worry filling you as you raked your nails through his hair.
“Everything okay?”
He nodded, his eyes closed and a smile on his lips.
“Yeah, just tired.”
You hummed, moving your right hand to cradle his cheek, softly stroking the skin.
“We can skip dinner tonight. Gordon will understand and the dress won’t go to waste.”
“Dresses,” he corrected without opening his eyes.
You frowned, confusion filling you.
“Dress. Singular.”
“Nope. Dresses. Plural,” he purred, mischief evident in his voice.
Your left hand found the other side of his face as you turned it to look at you. He opened his eyes, a smirk on his lips as he took in your frown
“Simon…what did you do?”
The smirk turned into a grin as he checked his watch.
“They should be done by now. Let me show you,” he said, excitement vibrating in his voice.
As if you weighed nothing, he picked you up and carried you out of the room, ignoring you as you wrapped your arms around his neck in a panic. With quick strides, he walked through his apartment and climbed the stairs until he reached his bedroom. There, he finally sat you back down onto your feet, before he walked to a pair of doors you hadn’t noticed before.
“Promise me not to freak out.”
You shook your head, making him chuckle. Knowing he wouldn’t get that promise out of you, he just simply opened the doors and revealed a gigantic walk-in closet, Princess Diaries 2 style. Part of it was taken up by dark suits and some leisure clothing, clearly belonging to Simon, but everything else was filled with clothes way too colorful for the man in front of you. Jeans, shirts, hoodies, blouses, cardigans, skirts, dresses, shoes, accessories. As you walked in, it felt as if you had been transported into a luxury store. Mannequins were wearing the dress that Simon bought you today, as well as all the other dresses he had picked out for you. You found shoes in all different colors and styles, from sneakers to platform high-heels.
“How…?”
Simon chuckled, following behind you, his arms around your waist and chest against your back.
“Don’t worry about it. But…I hope you like the clothes. Picked most of them myself, and had a stylist get the rest.”
You spun around in his arms, your face contorted into a mix between a frown and a grin.
“When did you have time for that?”
You watched as his cheeks suddenly turned a light pink, and for some reason, he avoided looking you in the eyes.
“I may have started after I met you for the first time?”
Now you were definitely grinning, enjoying the bashful side of Simon.
“You mean when you didn’t even really know me?”
Simon groaned and tried to step back, but your arms around his waist stopped him.
“You’re really gonna make me say it, aren’t you?”
You chuckled and nodded, still grinning up at the blushing man in front of you. Another groan left his lips before he took a deep breath and turned his face to look at you.
“From the moment I saw you, I knew you were going to be mine. The way you interacted with Millie, the way you smiled at me, and dammit the way your cupcakes tasted. All of that had me fall in love with you instantly. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew I wanted you. And I always get what I want.”
You hummed, trying to play down the joy and love that confession had you feeling. But in reality, you knew that your cheeks were the color of strawberries and your heart was beating like crazy while your lips were stretched wide with the grin you were wearing.
“So…you love me?”
Simon chuckled, matching your grin.
“Like crazy,” he growled, his voice deep and rough.
He quickly bent down and captured your lips in a searing kiss. Your arms wrapped tightly around Simon's neck as you melted against him. His lips moved against yours with a passion that left you breathless, his strong hands gripping your waist and pulling you flush against him. You could feel the heat radiating from his body, enveloping you in a cocoon of warmth and safety.
When you finally broke apart for air, Simon rested his forehead against yours, both of you panting slightly. His blue eyes gazed into yours, filled with an intensity that made your heart skip a beat.
"I love you too, Simon," you whispered, your voice barely audible but full of emotion. A smile spread across his face, lighting up his features in a way that made him look years younger.
He placed a gentle kiss on the tip of your nose before pulling back slightly, his hands still resting on your hips. "Now, as much as I'd love to continue this, we should probably start getting ready for dinner. We wouldn't want to keep Gordon waiting, would we?"
A frown settled on your face, worry filling you again. “Are you sure? We don’t have to go,” the worry that filled you slipped into your voice, making Simon smile.
“I’m fine, don’t worry, okay?” You nodded, not convinced, but for now, you’d let him be. Reluctantly, you stepped out of his embrace before glancing up at him. "But maybe we can continue this... later?" you suggested with a coy smile.
Simon's eyes darkened with desire as he nodded. "Oh, definitely. Count on it, love."
Please consider reblogging and following me! It helps a lot!

Say hello to the new and independent Fallout Wiki!
Greetings to all of you lovely wastelanders, mutants and robots alike! We come bearing an important announcement, one which might even pique the curiosity of all you nosy prospectors out there.
We’d like to introduce you to the shiny and brand spanking new, Independent Fallout Wiki.
Now, I know, you may be asking to yourself, “Wait, there’s already a Fallout Wiki out there! Why’s this one so dang special?”
Well, if you’d bear with me for a moment, I’ll tell you why!
What is the Independent Fallout Wiki?
Well, the Independent Fallout Wiki is just about as straightforward as it sounds! We all used to be members of another wiki dedicated to Fallout, which is hosted by a company that shall remain nameless. Now, if there’s one thing you should know about this company, it’s that they have very little regard for the community, introducing changes that no one likes, hosting tons of ads and even buying out wiki editors to work for them. We find this (among other things) to be antithetical to our beliefs. We feel that wikis should be in the hands of the community, not a company that refuses to listen to us!
This reached a breaking point earlier this year, along with some events out of our control, which led to the bright idea of forking into independence and starting a new wiki! A wiki that’s truly in the hands of the community. A wiki that is self-hosted and safe from harmful, corporate interests. We don’t have shareholders to please and we don’t answer to anyone. We don’t have ads and we don’t need them, hopefully ever. Content is created by fans, for fans
We are simply wanting to provide the most reliable and accurate source of all things Fallout. We’ve even broke bread with some of the other fantastic independent wikis out there, such as Doom Wiki and Combine Overwiki whom we recommend you check out too!
What kinds of new features are we offering?
We’re glad you asked! As well as offering a trove of accurate, well sourced content about the Fallout franchise (with strict guidelines to ensure the best possible content quality, as all wikis should), we’re offering a new Community space. This will be a place for the community to host all kinds of fan works, such as fanfiction, fan art, creations, roleplaying and tabletop games, pen and paper games, Fallout 76 player CAMPs and, much, much more.
As mentioned before, we have affiliated with many other independent wiki projects, including the Doom Wiki, Combine OverWiki, JoJo’s Bizarre Encyclopedia, StrategyWiki, Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, and even Halopedia! We’re also proud members of the Gaming Wiki Network, and soon, we’ll even be affiliated with NIWA, the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance. These affiliations will offer mutual aid and support that will help every wiki in the short-term and long-term. We are looking forward to working with them, for we all share the same goals!
How can we help and how can we be apart of the community?
We welcome anyone who wishes to join our community. It doesn’t matter if you’re an editor or reader. We are all fans of Fallout and we encourage you to join our community! If you are a non-editor and are only looking for information about something from the Fallout franchise, click this here link! https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Fallout_Wiki/
If you are interested in becoming an editor and want to fight the good fight to help rewrite content and smashing misinformation and head-canon, click this other here link! https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Special:UserLogin
While you’re there, check out our LGBTQ representation page. It was written by the lovely robot, C0NN1E here on Tumblr!:
https://fallout.wiki/wiki/LGBTQ_representation_in_Fallout
We welcome all members of the LGBTQ+, MOGAI, GSRM, Plural and Otherkin communities with open arms!
Last, but not least, if you’d like to be apart of our wider social community, you can follow us here on Tumblr, on Twitter, check out our Instagram or join our Discord, right here below, right now! We even got a fresh, custom invite link!
https://discord.gg/falloutwiki
https://twitter.com/thefalloutwiki
https://www.instagram.com/thefalloutwiki/
Well, that about wraps up this little segment of ours. We hope you enjoy this project as much as we do. We put a lot of time, effort and care into it and we want to give back to the people that we love the most, the community. Have safe travels out there, and we hope to see you around!

Debunking Anti(-endo's)Misinfo. AKA: How are anti-endos so bad at sources????
(The original)
Oh, well good on you for trying to cover everything! Nice of anti-endos to finally start trying to use science to prove their arguments. I'm sure these sources will totally be reliable and will prove your points beyond a shadow of a doubt, and that you won't just be falling flat on your face with every single attempt at basic reading comprehension, and end up repeatedly make a complete fool of yourself.
Let's go!
Off to a pretty strong start, acknowledging that many endogenic systems don't have DID or OSDD. Sadly, that basic fact is something that seems to escape most anti-endos. So with this in mind, I think it's safe to say the goal of this post is going to be to prove...
You can't possibly have DID without trauma.
You can't possibly have OSDD without trauma.
You can't be a system without DID/OSDD.
Let's read through and see how they'll do at proving their points by the end. I promise you, the results... won't surprise you. 😉
Well, there goes that strong start.
The source here is a Carrd and so-called "common sense."
Meanwhile, in the World Health Organization's ICD-11, alters or dissociative identities are described as "distinct personality states." In the same page, it's stated that you can have multiple "distinct personality states" without a disorder.
This is information from the World Health Organization affirming that you can be plural without a disorder. And I think that prevails over your so-called "common sense."
See also these screenshots from the plurality chapter of Transgender Mental Health, a book published by the American Psychiatric Association:
Finally, I really want to put a focus on this line of logic: "you cannot have alters without having a disorder, this is common sense as it's not normal to have alters."
Normal has multiple meanings in different contexts. The ICD-11's boundary with normality uses normal to mean "non-pathological." But this post seems to be using "normal" in the lay way to mean "common."
And that makes this particular rhetoric extremely dangerous and harmful to many communities. "If it's not common, it's a mental illness," was the basis for homosexuality and being transgender being listed as mental illnesses. "Most people don't think this way, so there's something wrong with them."
This could also easily be used to pathologize Otherkin and other alterhumans as mentally ill because it's not "normal" to identify as an animal.
The modern World Health Organization and American Psychiatric Association recognize the fact that simply thinking unusually or differently isn't an illness or disorder.
Statements like yours do not exist within a vacuum, but harken back to decades past when any non-typical thinking would have you labeled as having a disorder that needed treated.
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
Let's be thankful to live in a world today where our differences aren't considered disorders. And let's not resort to ideologies that threaten to return us to those days past.
Wait... who suggests this? Who are they? I think I need more info...
So... "some researchers."
Also, can we talk about how this starts off with "sometimes called multiple personality disorder." I checked to see if this was before the name changed in the ICD (which I believe was 2015) and it doesn't seem to be! Oldest archive I can find is 2020!
Rethink.org is a charity.
These are not peer-reviewed papers.
The page references "some researchers" without names or sources.
I have no idea who authored this or if they're qualified at all in this field.
This is a terrible source. A web page by an anonymous author citing other unnamed authors with no reason to think anyone who wrote this had any idea what they were talking about!
This says DID is caused by many things, and lists trauma as only one that's included. This doesn't back up the idea DID/OSDD can only be caused by trauma, and suggests the opposite.
Oh, and "it's also known as split personality disorder." 😔
Go home WebMD.
Usually associated with doesn't mean it's a requirement, and in fact implies that it isn't always.
"Is associated with." "Can be a response to trauma."
Reiterating that the first two goals here were to prove you can't have DID or OSDD without trauma. And these aren't doing that.
An association doesn't mean there's a causation, and it doesn't mean that association is there in 100% of cases.
"often develop."
Like with "usually", you wouldn't use the word often if if something always happened. The choice of wording implies you can have dissociative disorders without trauma.
Are... they messing with us right now???
I swear, you can't have a post that sets out with the goal of disproving the existence of endogenic plurality, and then use quotes that seem to consistently imply there can be other causes for DID and not pick up on that theme!
Oh, yay! We finally got a quote that's actually trying to argue the point we started with.
But, again, this runs into a similar issue to the ReThink.org one. This is a random independent organization. There is no author for this article. It hasn't undergone peer review like an academic paper would.
There is no evidence the person who wrote this article is actually educated in dissociative disorders.
And finally back to "usually."
You must be so proud...
Source Round-Up
There was a lot here, so let's just recap.
6 out of 8 of these sources only say that DID is "usually" or "often" or "can be" caused by or associated with trauma. These actually imply there are cases where it's NOT caused by trauma, going against the original goals of this post.
Finally, there were two sources, Rethink and Mind.org, which did suggest DID is just caused by trauma, full stop. But both of these are extremely questionable as sources.
Neither named their authors. There's no indication what the review process is for their websites. And "Rethink" merely said this is what "some researchers" believe.
So let's double back to those goals set at the beginning.
You can't possibly have DID without trauma: One source says this, but the reliability of that source is questionable. Another source says some researchers are saying this but doesn't name any researchers or cite those sources. Meanwhile, the other six sources imply that it IS possible for DID to exist without trauma.
You can't possibly have OSDD without trauma: Neither of the two sources that suggest DID can only be caused by trauma mention OSDD at all.
You can't be a system without DID/OSDD: None of the sources suggest you need DID/OSDD to be a system or to be plural.
So far, you've failed to prove you can't be a system without DID or OSDD. You've failed to show you can't have OSDD without trauma. And the case for DID being exclusive to trauma frankly looks weaker than before you started talking.
Incredible work so far!!!
And I mean that in the way that nothing about this is remotely credible!
Ugh. There is SO much wrong here. First, no sources for their claims about tulpamancy.
Now, tulpamancy draws its name from a Tibetan Buddhist practice called sprul pa.
This is not the same practice though. And the Tibetan Buddhist practice is NOT CALLED TULPAMANCY.
Something which should be obvious to anyone who knows even the most basic facts about language, with the -mancy suffix being derived from Latin. And tulpamancy as a practice generally isn't religious.
From Dr. Samuel Veissiere of McGill University:
The community is primarily divided between so-called psychological and metaphysical explanatory principles. In the psychological community, neuroscience (or folk neuroscience) is the explanation of choice. Tulpas are understood as mental constructs that have achieved sentience. The metaphysical explanation holds that Tulpas are agents of supernatural origins that exist outside the hosts’ minds, and who come to communicate with them. Of 118 respondents queried on the question, 76.5% identified with the psychological explanation, 8.5% with the metaphysical, and 14% with a variety of “other” explanations, such as a mixture of psychological and metaphysical.
When discussing the research into tulpamancy, we're not discussing a religious or spiritual practice that's been validated by psychologists.
We're talking about a primarily psychological practice that's been validated by psychologists.
And as for the DSM quote, it confirms that religious practices aren't a disorder. Cool. But it also implies that religious practices can result in multiple distinct personality states. Hence why they needed that criterion. It's not stated as explicitly in the DSM as in the ICD, but the implication is there, especially when taken together.
Whether you call these "alters" or not is up to you. Most endogenic systems aren't using the word "alter" to describe their headmates.
But regardless of the word, what the research is showing is that there are multiple phenomena which can result in people having multiple self-conscious agents sharing the same body.
I mean, you've still done a really bad job at showing DID and OSDD form purely from trauma, with many of your sources straight up saying the opposite.
And remember, a lot of mixed origin systems will say that their other headmates aren't caused by or related to their disorder. And there are documented cases of people with DID both having alters associated with DID, and having non-aversive entities they commune with outside of that, as Kluft references in this paper:
The woman he describes here, who experienced ceding control to another entity who talked through her, would qualify as a mixed origin system in the modern plural community.
SIX OF YOUR EIGHT SOURCES LEFT THE DOOR OPEN FOR DID TO FORM WITHOUT TRAUMA!
NONE CLAIMED OSDD COULD ONLY COME FROM TRAUMA!
NONE CLAIMED YOU NEEDED DID OR OSDD TO BE PLURAL!
Your sources are NOT claiming what you think they're claiming!!!!!!!
If this is "all the proof you need," to say endogenic systems aren't valid, it's clear you were only ever interested in confirming your worldview.
But surely you can't seriously think this will convince anyone who isn't already indoctrinated!
Not even addressing this in full. It's such a blatant strawman that it's not worth my time.
There are similarities between plurality and being LGBTQ. Especially to the many trans systems out there who are seeing anti-endos use the same rhetoric that transmeds have. Or like you did earlier, are endorsing the same types of views that led to homosexuality being pathologized until the 70s. But nobody is saying it's the exactly the same!
I'm not sure what this is specifically referring to. But it might be about the line in the differential diagnosis for DID in the PTSD section where it's stated DID may not be preceded by trauma or have co-occurring PTSD symptoms.
It does also say in another section that DID is associated with trauma, but it never actually says that's the only way to get DID.
This is a straight-up lie. Most sources used by endogenic systems are less than a decade old, with some being as recent as 2023.
Here's the breakdown of some of the dates in @guardianssystem's doc, for reference:
I mean, I feel like part of the reason nobody has been able to disprove it is because a lot of its more specific claims have been really hard to test.
But that's neither here nor there.
The bigger issue you'll run into is that the creators of the theory you're citing have stated that there may be other ways for people to be plural. Or as they phrased it, having "conscious and self-conscious dissociated parts."
The above quote is from two of the three authors of The Haunted Self, the creators of the theory of the structural dissociation.
The TOSD is made to propose a way trauma can cause dissociative disorders to develop. But it does NOT suggest you need to have dissociative disorders to be plural, and I doubt the authors appreciated their work being twisted like that
Final Grade:
F-
This started with three goals.
Let's look back at them one last time.
You can't possibly have DID without trauma.
You can't possibly have OSDD without trauma.
You can't be a system without DID/OSDD.
By the end of this, have any of these claims successfully been proven?
I don't feel they have.
The first claim is what all the sources tried to focus on. But most of the sources didn't say that and didn't support it. All but two implied that DID could possibly form other ways.
And for the others? Nothing suggests OSDD can only be caused by trauma.
And you failed to provide any sources that suggested you couldn't be plural without DID and OSDD.
You completely and utterly failed to find decent sources to back up your claims, and to make a compelling case for them, at every conceivable juncture.
If I were you, I would be embarrassed to have put out something of such poor quality.
What have we learned:
Non-disordered and endogenic plurality has been supported and validated across the psychological field, including the World Health Organization's ICD-11 and Trasngender Mental Health which has been reviewed and published by the American Psychiatric Association.
The creators of the theory of structural dissociation believe it might be possible that "self-conscious dissociative parts of the personality" might form without trauma and that this needs to be further researched.
Tulpamancy is a mostly psychological practice that has been studied and validated by psychologists.
Anti-endos are really bad at sources.
Conversely, the majority of endogenic sources are actual peer reviewed academic papers. And contrary to false claims here, many of the papers are actually very recent.

Bonding as a System
Hello! This post will discuss the importance of bonding as a system, and some activities you and your headmates can do to try and grow closer together. We’re writing from our own experience as a system with members who, at this point, tend to get along much better than we used to due to the progress we’ve made trying to bond and get to know each other! These tips and suggestions may not work for everyone, but we still hope they’ll be useful to some folks. Let’s get started!
If you’re new to connecting as a system, please check out our post on establishing contact with headmates before reading this one. The post you’re reading now assumes that you already have some level of communication abilities with your headmates.
Having a headspace where your system members can interact internally can also be a useful tool, and building a headspace together can be a bonding activity in and of itself! If you’re interested in creating a headspace, our headspace post might also be beneficial.
Trying to bond as a system may be useful if:
- your system’s communication is shoddy at best
- you disagree or fight a lot
- you can’t seem to enjoy time in each other’s company
- you want to strengthen already established connections
- you need to lower dissociative barriers
- you just want to get to know each other better as system members!
All in all, we think that trying to bond as a system can be helpful for almost any system in almost any circumstance. As headmates, we share the same mind and body; why not take steps to ensure we can feel close and comfortable with each other?
We’ll break down potential bonding activities into two groups: internal and external.
Internal
Bonding internally can look incredibly different from system to system and even from headmate to headmate! Our system spends most internal bonding time in our headspace, but we do believe it is possible to bond without one. Here are a few bonding activities that your system can practice internally, in the safety and comfort of your own mind!
Talk to each other!
Seriously, just spend time having conversations and trying to get to know each other! Ask each other questions, or fill out the questions from plural ask games if you’re struggling to think of things to ask. Create inside jokes, goof off, have serious debates, confide in each other, and share as many moments together just talking as you can! Trust and communication won’t always come naturally overnight, but regularly making attempts to talk, laugh, and share with your headmates can be a fantastic way to bond.
You don’t have to talk with fully formed, complete thoughts! You can use the unique ways your system thinks and behaves in order to communicate. Sending emotions, images, or simply vibes are all great and valid ways to communicate!
It’s okay if your headmates can’t find much to talk about at first or have difficulties getting along! Practicing being an active listener and attempting to be receptive to your headmates’ ideas, even if you don’t agree with them, can ultimately help you all grow closer together as a collective.
Learn about each other’s interests!
If your headmates are distinct individuals, try spending time teaching each other about your own individual skills and interests. Ask your fangirl headmate to explain the plot of her favorite show to you. Ask your headmate who does homework to try and explain the concepts to you that they’re learning in school. Ask your headmate who loves Legos to talk about their favorite sets or what they like building most. Try treating each other like people who you genuinely want to get to know!
If you are having trouble finding common ground, expressing interest in each other’s interests can be a fantastic way to warm up to each other and help your whole system feel loved, wanted, and included.
Even if your system does not have distinct members, you can still try bonding over shared interests and having conversations with each other that pertain to the things you all like to do! You don’t have to be completely distinct or individual in order to bond and grow closer together over interests and activities.
Spend time together in headspace!
If your system has a headspace, there’s all sorts of fun activities y’all could do together within it! Headspaces are visualization tools and exercises in imagination, so if you can imagine it, you can include it in your headspace. Your system could go on a high fantasy adventure together, a deep sea diving expedition, or a horseback ride in the mountains! You could build a treehouse or clubhouse together, have a fashion show, or visit a castle in the clouds. The only limits are your own imagination! Try collaborating with your whole system to think of some fun, cozy, or exciting ways y’all could spend time together in your own headspace.
Of course, it doesn’t always have to be high action and excitement! Our system’s favorite way to bond internally is just chilling out in a cozy living room space that we designed together. We put on some relaxing music and just talk or spend time in each others’ presence. Even something small like this could prove to be a immensely uplifting bonding experience!
External
If your system experiences lots of cofronting or coconsciousness or if visualization and imagination don’t come naturally for you, external bonding activities might be a good way to go! Nearly anything that you do on your own can be modified into a group activity for your system. Here’s a few ideas to help y’all get started!
Make art and be creative!
Bust out your pens, markers, crayons, and paints, and start creating something new with your system! Each headmate can add their own unique element to the artwork. If you don’t cofront often, just keep your art piece out in a visible space with a note nearby encouraging others to take part if they wish. You could also try writing a story, song, or poem together, with each headmate adding their own ideas and contributions. Allow your headmates each to express themselves in ways they feel comfortable, and surprise yourselves with the beautiful masterpieces you come up with!
Divvy up actions!
Work on building a new hobby or skill and designate tasks for different headmates to do! Want to bake cupcakes? Have one headmate read the instructions, another assemble the ingredients, another mix and pour the batter, and someone else keep track of a timer while it’s in the oven. You can break up activities and tasks in this way for almost anything, making group activities that your whole system can take part in every day! You can even do chores or obligations in this way to help make daily life less exhausting or monotonous for your whole system.
If your system is struggling to have multiple cofronters remain present when doing activities together, remember that practice makes perfect! It’s okay if you all find this sort of exercise challenging at first. The more you all commit to working on being present together, the easier it may become in the future!
Have fun in cofront!
There’s a bunch of things you can do when other members are fronting together in order to have a fun, bonding experience with your headmates. Put together a movie night with popcorn and a pillow fort! Go for a walk at a nearby park or spend some time in your local library or coffee shop! Play videogames together! Host an in-system book club! Pamper yourselves with an at home spa day! Throw yourselves a fancy tea or dinner party!
Brainstorm with your system to come up with some fun ideas that y’all can do to bond together whenever multiple members are cofronting together! And remember that cofronting is not always a requirement for these sorts of things! Members can be coconscious and still able to enjoy and experience these bonding activities. Even if both cofronting and coconsciousness are impossible for your system right now, you can commemorate your positive experiences with collages, scrapbooks, pictures, and journal entries to help share your life with your headmates.
Wrapping Up
It’s never a bad idea to try to connect with and get to know your headmates better! Keep in mind thought that many systems may find it easier for their headmates to bond with each other in a plethora of different ways. If nothing we’ve mentioned here will work for your collective, why not try to collaborate to think of fun, interesting, achievable ways for your whole system to have fun and bond in ways that work for y’all? It may take time, effort, and practice, but we truly believe that your system will be able to establish ways to bond that work well for y’all!
If you’ve made it this far, thanks so much for reading! Our apologies that this post got so long. You’re welcome to share in a comment or reblog the ways in which your own system bonds and grows closer together. As always, thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day!

The Simply Plural 1.11 Beta
Hello, in this post I'm gonna talk about the new beta from simply plural that was released on August 14, 2024
Subtopics:
What are the new futures?
How each feature works
Friends glitch/bug
Custom fields glitch/bug
Buckets glitch/bug
Other noticeable bugs
Extra things
Final thoughts
Now that we know what it's going to be in this post let's dive into it!
What are the new features?
This beta provides some new features, most of them suggestions that were previously asked a lot of times that finally got implemented
Privacy buckets which works as a new privacy system for the app
Ability to change the default setting of privacy
Group moving finally implemented
Easier access to read groups descriptions
Ability to cancel editing
Resizing images with markdown
How each feature works
Privacy buckets:
The privacy buckets is a new function that was suggested for a long time, with this new privacy system you can create groups that you can customize to have a more specific privacy experience
The customization things that you can add are having an emoji that identifies the bucket, being able to put a name, description and a color on the bucket, specify which ones of your friends can see the alters/groups/fields under that bucket
Bucket example
This buckets applies to groups, profiles and fields as you see here
Your friends won't be able to see the emoji while looking at your profile, this means they don't know in what bucket they are
You can add multiple buckets to the same friend, this is to make a better and more specific privacy customization
All the groups, members and fields that aren't given a bucket would be automatically set to private
For getting access to the buckets settings you have to enter your app settings, go to account, go to privacy buckets and there you go
For more information about how buckets works please check this oficial guide
Change the default privacy setting:
The default privacy settings let you choose what would be the new default setting around privacy buckets when making new things
This setting is applicable to all the things you can change the privacy of, this means:
Profiles/members
Custom fronts
Groups
Custom fields
So depending on what bucket(s) you choose all the new things you create would have that bucket from now on
Important to note that putting a default bucket won't change any of your already existing information, this would only apply for new created things after the bucket was assigned, you still have to manually change the buckets from old things
For getting access to the buckets settings you have to enter your app settings, go to account, go to privacy buckets and click the gear icon next to the question mark one, there you go
Group moving:
As the name implies the group moving feature allows you to move one folder to another one, you don't have to re-do the whole group from scratch anymore
The whole page for editing groups has changed so you'll might get a bit confused. The whole moving folders part can be found now when you edit a group
Visual example of what I mean
So you might ask how does the move group work, this is a little example and tutorial on how this function works
We have this test group called "A", as you see A is in the main root, it's not a subfolder of any kind, we're gonna move it to be a subfolder
When you click in the already shown "Move group" option it would pop out a new menu (This loading can be a little delayed, at least from my experience, so be patient)
The group who's darker is the one you'll move, you just need to click on the folder you want to put the group on and it would show you this pop out to make sure you're ok with moving it into the folder you chose
And there you go, you moved the group
Groups descriptions:
The groups descriptions were updated to a more easy and friendly way to see them, not only for you but for your friends too
Now all the groups that have a description will have a question mark symbol attached to them, clicking it would show you the description
Visual example of the described:
There's no more mystery outside this, this works with your friends groups and your own in both sides
Cancel editing:
Have you ever had the problem that while editing a profile or a custom front you don't want to save the changes so you have to close the app and re open to make sure that doesn't get safe? Well that's why the new beta fixed that issue
Now when you're editing things like profiles, you can decide if you want to cancel or save your changes, it's pretty simple to see it, there's and x and a 💾 icon, the x it's for not saving the changes and the 💾 for saving them
Visual example
This visual not only applies to profiles but also anything that can be changed and/or edited, I just put this for the sake of keeping it simple and not full of pictures of the same thing in different perspectives
Resizing images with markdown:
Using links for images is something that is used since a lot of time, it's normal to see people trying to resize their images directly from the markdown feature but failed, but now you can actually do this
In this image I'm using the same link, just that one is using the resizing markdown and the other isn't, this is to show that the resizing isn't super perfect and it's more based around fitting the picture in the indicated size, it would not stretch out or modify its property, it would just re adjust the size of it
As you might seen the only change you do it's adding the #300x300 after the link, putting the # along with the size that you want will resize your picture, this can work with any kind of numbers you put (#numxnum), but in some cases might look wonky or the picture might not appear/be cut so be sure to know the size and things you want with that to not mess up
Friends glitch/bug
It has been reported that the friends part might be very glitchy and have some errors, bugs and problems when entering in the moment you're using the beta
Some of the bugs reported are:
Not being able to see the preview of fronters in the main friends page
Not being able to see the custom fields of some friends
Some profiles not being able to bee seen although the friend has the bucket to see it
Menu doesn't work, it shows a gray box
More buckets assigned to a friend than the ones you actually have
Errors while seeing each others profiles when one's on beta and the other isn't
The friend menu it's a bit wonky and buggy with this beta, so don't be shock if you have some issues while seeing it, it's not broken, the beta is still a beta after all, it's to see the errors to fix them for the official release
Custom fields glitch/bug
The custom fields is one of the part who shows more errors while using it, some common reported bugs are
Friends and/or you can't see your fields information
The changes aren't saved
While offline they might disappear
Errors with the image links (They don't act like images rather than normal links)
Not being able to move them
When tagging (@) alters from another systems appears instead of yours
The custom fields are very delicate in this area, specially because the migration between 1.10 and 1.11, because of this I'm gonna copy paste words of the developers about it
API was further updated to fix the issues of large systems having trouble sharing content with friends and not being able to see custom fields of friends across release and beta versions. Note: The fix for cross-version only works for release if you never opened beta before. If you left or will leave beta you will still have issues seeing custom fields of beta friends. Second note: I just noticed that beta seeing release custom fields is still not fully working. So we'll report back when that is fixed.
Additionally, custom fields from 1.11 are not compatible with 1.10.3 either, if you downgrade back to 1.10.3 you will not be able to save changes to custom fields (neither custom fields settings or member custom fields data).
It's not mandatory but I'll recommend not touching your custom fields if you have the beta because it can have some issues about losing information, but this is a recommendation, this lost bug doesn't happen to everyone so do it at your own risk
Buckets glitch/bug
Because of the new future it was expected that it would have bugs and errors while testing it
The feature isn't 100% polish and it's being fixed, but this isn't stopping you from using it because it is workable
Some common bugs are:
Selecting a friend while creating a bucket doesn't work, you have to make the bucket and then edit it again to add the friend
Scrolling being difficult to almost impossible while editing buckets to assign friends
Don't adding the selected people (can also add people who's not selected)
Bucket count showing incorrectly as a visual error (previously mentioned in friends bugs)
Multiple visual errores in different areas
Also adding a note said by the developers to keep in mind
Important note: If you open the app in beta version you will no longer be able to go back to the old privacy system, even if you downgrade your app back to 1.10.3. We suggest you stay on 1.11 once you used the app in 1.11. Critical bugs found within the Beta will be resolved swiftly.
Other noticeable bugs
As is expected this bet has a lot of bugs going on, I'm not going to name all the bugs because this would be more long than it has to be, but I will list some common bugs that don't fall into any of the other two previous categories I mentioned
While offline all things appear as private even with different bucket
Editing colors isn't saving (profiles, groups, custom fronts, buckets)
While making a description you can't use the enter button
The lines to easy select text isn't showing up
Somo areas flicker when selecting/touching them
Getting front notifications of people you didn't select to have them
Bugs with pop outs about deleting members/groups
All of this errors and some more are being fixed for the proper release
Extra things
While it might be kinda obvious if you see the pictures I presented, the layout of the app it's kinda different, it didn't have an incredible mega change but various things about how it works were changed to fit better the new functions that were added
This betta has more bugs than previous betas but this isn't because it was bad designed, it functions pretty well and the bugs are being fixed, after all a beta it's for test out, report bugs, glitches and errors to make sure the final and official release it's the best product we can have, so maybe wait for the official release if you don't want that many bugs
Also as it was mentioned, if you already get the beta don't quit it, it can broke your simply plural and won't reverse the changes made in beta, you'll have to stick with the beta till the update it's public if you don't want to have more bugs and broke your app
For the people who might not know this, the beta testing isn't available on the web version, only the app
Little explanation on how to get the beta if you want:
Android: Go the the Play Store, search for Simply Plural and scroll down to join the beta Apple: https://testflight.apple.com/join/DzPX698w
If you need more help with the download of the beta on android you can send me questions and I'll answer them
Final thoughts
Though it's not the best of the betas in terms of not being glitchy it's incredible how great this beta update was, and taking in mind that this errors will be fixed looks to have a very good and promising final result
I might say it's better not to get the beta if you really lay to much in SP and can't handle that many bugs and errors, but if you're willing to give it a try it can be a goofy and great experience at the same time
This update is more based on fulfilling already wished suggestions so it's pretty exciting to see it
For being a beta I give it a solid 7.5/10, maybe too buggy but a great preview of what it comes for the new update
If you have more questions about the beta, non beta or anything related to simply plural please send asks about it, I love to talk about SP so feel free to ask about it ^^
The bugs/glitches reports, the link fo the buckets and the basic information about the beta were taken from the official simply plural server, I really recommend checking it out if you want to ask questions about it, see inspiration, see third party tools or report bugs, also there you can see server status, announcements and updates. It's important to clarify that it's not a social server so have that in mind
Simply Plural Discord Server Link
If you read all this I have to really thank you very much for giving me that much of a time to talk about this, simply plural is one of my special interests and hyperfixation and I'm so glad I get to talk about it, I didn't expect that much people being interested on seeing me talk about this new update, sorry if it took me some time but I was kinda in a bad moment of my life, but writing this really cheered me up and I hope people can find this useful
Please reblog and like if you find it useful in some way and to make sure more people get to know this information about the new update cause it has a lot of important things! /nf

From the GT academy document, since it would be a separate warmup part anyway. Yes, they're in a cat café in Japan. Yes, it was Max's idea.
As he was talking about racing, Max seemed to be in his element. But you still had absolutely no idea what he was planning for the next week, so you cleared your throat and flashed a polite smile at him. “Max, why am I here exactly?”
This seemed to make him focus again. “Right, the plan,” he said with a sheepish smile, but his blue eyes were mirroring his determination. “We get through the weekend, then we'll travel to another part of Japan on Sunday evening. From Monday on, we will train at a track I hired for a few days. I did–”
“Hold on. You hired a race track for days?”
He blinked at you a few times, then he shrugged and looked down at the cat in his lap. “And I got a crew to help with the cars,” he added casually.
“Cars? Plural?”
“You'll have to drive different cars at the academy, of course there will be more than one.”
“So you rented cars too?”
“I bought them, but it's not important.”
This was getting absolutely surreal. You were fighting the urge to pinch yourself and check if you were dreaming, because it was either a dream or he was simply crazy. “Max, that's a lot, I don't have the money to repay you,” you told him after a break, feeling terrible because you hadn’t known it would come with all these things.
Max looked up at you with a confused look. “Repa–No, I don't want you to repay me. Look, I know what you're capable of in a sim rig, now I want to know what you can achieve with a real car.”
“Now you're just putting extra pressure on me.”
“Hey, don't say that. I'm not here to put pressure on you. I want to help. That's all. I'll prepare you both on and off the track.”
Letting out a sigh, you picked up a cat and thought about what to say. Some girl came over to your table to take a photo with him, but at least this gave you a minute to consider your next words. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, that’s why you agreed to come here. And since you were already here and he had already taken care of organizing next week’s programme, the least you could do was sucking it up and do exactly what he told you to do.
Once you were left alone again, Max raised an eyebrow in an attempt to make you talk. “All right, I’m grateful, and I would be an idiot if I said no to your help,” you said, and he flashed a wide smile at you in return.

Can you give transplural tips?
First, you should definitely check out this post we made. It may be labeled as transplural, but it helps with any trans ids. It is kind of general, though, so here are some things that we've done to aid our transition!
The first step we took was taking the existing personality Cybbr had and splitting it into chunks. (As seen here) We tried splitting the host's old personality into as few chunks as possible so we didn't have any undeveloped alters that quietly disappeared after a week or so, which was a common thing that happened with our past attempts to transition. It will be easier to split fictives than brainmade alters for most, but since we don't attach to characters that way, it was easier to "make new ocs" as alters instead.
If you're going for a more realistic system, create interesting dynamics between alters that signify a system forming since childhood. Also, try to think back to your childhood and think up things that you thought would have protected you if something very, very bad happened. I found it helpful to watch videos about cis-traumagenic-systems to see what alters they've formed.
Now that you've taken your existing personality and split it up, I'd suggest making a Simply Plural account and making detailed profiles for each alter. Face claims, voice claims, personalities, roles, likes, dislikes, triggers (pos or neg), habits, tendencies, how an alter affects the body, the brain, what mindsets they have.... all that stuff! Then, start having alters front with the host. The more the alter fronts, the more they (and you) will understand how they interact with the world. Be flexible and willing to change roles, personalities, or anything on their account if both you and the alter agree that it isn't correct. Let fictives naturally evolve away from their sources too, that will make the system feel more real.
Talk about your system to others as you slowly discover things. Telling others about how certain alters act or how your system works will solidify certain details so your system isn't inconsistent.
Once your alters start to feel consistent, start training yourself to randomly disassociate or zone out to switch. This is where you can start planting amnesia barriers and a headspace. I'm not really sure about how to implement a headspace because Z just kinda... found one? But I do know that real places are easier to visualize and create into a headspace!
I think that's it. If there are any other specific details you want, please send in another ask! ♡♡
