forever thinking about royal’s bad ending. my thing with it is that maruki doesn’t necessarily give anyone what they want most, he gives them what’s most appropriate for them to want within a maruki-approved framework. iirc there’s a really interesting text sequence in the game where he just straight up changes someone’s career because they’re not “good” at it, regardless of whether that’s what they actually want. why struggle at all? ever? right?

and so ultimately i don’t think goro akechi’s greatest wish is necessarily ren. i think it’s a wish for sure, but his greatest wish is his own agency. despite any regrets he has and the fact that shido and yaldabaoth treated him like a pawn, he's generally pretty adamant about owning his choices and their consequences. he doesn't want that erased. and instead, you end up with pleasant boy™ if you take maruki’s deal. maybe maruki (incorrectly) thinks sanding off all of akechi’s rough edges will make him easier for ren to love. but the crux of it is really that maruki has to essentially lobotomize him to preserve the illusion of his perfect reality, because their ideologies are so diametrically opposed that akechi would spend every waking moment fighting back.

this isn’t to undermine ren’s importance to akechi btw — he explicitly acknowledges that he wishes they had met earlier, and there are countless moments throughout their confidant that underscore how much it means to him that they mirror each other so well. he absolutely does want more time with ren, just not under these circumstances.

and that’s also what makes ren’s choice on 2/2 doubly devastating. he knows that either way he loses akechi. and if he takes maruki’s deal, he loses him knowing that his last moments with the real akechi involved the two of them being unforgivably out of sync.

I totally understand the sentiment behind applying the "I want shorter games made by people who are paid more to work less" meme to tabletop RPGs, but speaking as an editor and project manager, convincing tabletop RPG authors to write less is often precisely the problem. Yes! This is Fox----, he has been causing problems since the literal day he was born. You've met both of his parents, but I would be a little bit surprised if you guessed them correctly. Parental drama is kinda part of his whole deal. He's one of the first 3rd generation cats born in Loudclan.

I have SO much advice, about the images, the recommended size is 1280 x 1920 pixels, that's always a little too short for my panels, so I try to aim for 1280 x 2000 - 3000. It still deteriorates them a little bit, but people can always click on them for better quality. Bigger text and variation in values also help for readability regardless of size. (value meaning how light or dark a color is. if you want something to stand out it's more important to change the value than it is to change the hue generally speaking.) As for grabbing attention, I would recommend making sure that the image you're trying to show is visible above the cut off for longer posts, posts with only text visible are a lot less likely to get interaction. That being said, the most important thing for the longevity of your blog is making sure that it's something you are doing for yourself. There's nothing wrong with liking when your posts get attention, but it's not likely to happen for a long while (I think moon 5 was the first time I got double digit likes which was three months after I started.) I appreciate all of the love that Loudclan gets now, but if I had started with that as the goal I never would have been able to reach the point of it happening. (I actually started posting Loudclan with the intention of proving to myself once and for all that posting art was not a viable endeavor for me, so... I'll consider that a successful failure!)

This is Robert Roberson. He has been sitting on Texas' death row for over twenty years after being convicted of murdering his daughter.

The problem? The murder never happened.

Robert was convicted based on the discredited and outdated diagnosis of "shaken baby syndrome", which argued that babies could die from shaking that doesn't leave signs of physical trauma. Robert is also autistic, and his mannerisms lead hospital staff to suspect abuse. There is no evidence that Robert murdered his daughter, Nikki. Killing Robert is not justice.

In a flare and watching stranger things so here’s a Steve headcannon:

Steve suffers with chronic pain after everything not just migraines but bone deep pain that just nags at him until either Robin or Eddie convince him to at least try out a mobility aid and of course he’s hesitant at first. He’s so used to being the big strong protector of the group and he feels like the aid is a sign of weakness but after much convincing (and nagging on Robins part) he finally gets a cane and it changes his view completely. He’s actually able to move without too much pain,he able to keep up with the kids again something he’s been struggling with since Vecna and most importantly he has freedom again. Honestly I just need Steve with a mobility aid <3

This morning, I mentioned the assassination to my coworkers. 2/3 of them said they would turn in the shooter for the reward money, and I think it says a lot about capitalism as a whole simply for the simple fact that Brian Thomason has a body-count of people I feel it would be impossible to count that he has killed due to his selfishness, laziness, and overall greed.

Not one person I have seen has been upset about his death. Not one. In fact, when they announced his murder on Facebook, the majority of reactions to it were out of the (last seen) 65k+ reactions, just over 58k were laugh reactions. The GP is not unhappy this man is dead.

It’s the fact they know the GP has suffered in the hands of (capitalism) Brian Thompson, and still beg for their help in the name of reward money. They’re asking a public that has been brutalized and robbed by this man to help find him and are only offering them a measly 60 thousand dollars to anyone who has any information that will lead to his arrest. Money that will probably go back to paying debts — some maybe caused by Brian Thompson and his team.

That won’t even buy you a house.

So sure, turn him in for that money. That money they stole and are giving back to you. But just like I seen someone say — this is is like Katniss shooting the arrow up into the arena.

a small diy recommendation from annoying anarcho!

hey! are you tired of mixing acrylic paint with random shit to paint your patches? interested in a paint thats a little bit too opaque and probably needs to be watered down? (thus giving you a bit more to work with!)

then heres an idea!: wall paint samples.

ive been using $5 wall paint sample tubs since i started making patches, and holy SHIT it works super well! since the paint is so opaque you dont tend to need very much, and because its meant for walls its overly strong and water resistant. the small tubs also give you plenty considering how little you tend to need!

"annoying anarcho! what about the fumes!" idk but it works great. wear a mask or something while you paint if you're really worried.

only con is that you need to be confident in your abilities! if you mispaint you need to either go over it in a different colour or wipe it away with water asap, otherwise shits great! if you want colours that arent different varieties of white then mix it with acrylic, hypocritical of me to suggest i know, but it works a charm.

or, if you dont like paint then household bleach can be pretty decent! its permanent, has a cool looking colour +effect and is generally in most households, just make sure your fabric works with it and do some test strips!

(wear protection when handling chemicals!!)
