We know you were on accutane. Stop lying
not that it would matter if I had, and not that it's any of your business, but I have in fact never taken accutane.
This is a useful teaching moment though, because what you're doing is a well-studied phenomenon in digital media called 'policing fake femininity.' It's a thing people do to women in the public eye, a specific kind of criticism centred around accusations of being inauthentic, fake, or having cheated in some way. Often it's men doing the policing but women do it to each other a lot too, there are whole websites dedicated to it in fact. Often those criticisms centre around our appearances, as yours did here.
It's sometimes a response to perceived inequality, of which there is plenty! Women in the public eye - myself included - do benefit from a lot of privilege. I've always been quite open about that. People who engage in that kind of public bullying often tell themselves that because of the privilege (or perceived privilege) of their targets the fake femininity policing is socially justified, or the fault of the target. But it doesn't really do anything to correct the structural problems that give rise to that inequality.
In their paper "Policing Fake Femininity," scholars Brooke Duffy, Kate Miltner, and Amanda Wahlstedt say,
“The solution to the structural concerns associated with capitalist patriarchy is not, we contend, to label individual influencers “stupid famewhores” and disparage their mental health in ways that invoke the spectre of hysteria (e.g., “batsh*t crazy,” “delusional,” and “lunatic”). As Chemaly [Rage Becomes Her, 2018] argues, it is necessary that girls and women express their anger, but such a directive “is not an endorsement of unbridled rage, or permission to deliver a swift roundhouse kick to the face of anyone who upsets you, or to regularly fill the spaces you live and work in with hostility and discomfort.” While venting anger at these influencers and their purportedly questionable choices may provide some form of much-needed catharsis, such gender-coded vitriol amplifies the rampant misogyny and toxicity that women already face in online environments.”
If you'd like to know more, I recommend:

Slugcats but they’re .. man idk
Before I get into the headcanons on each slugcat, I'm going to detail how this design works without making a huge spec bio post like I've done before: Similar to my lizard design, slugcats share a common ancestry with them. Though they're more squishy and flexible, the lizards have gained similar traits such as mantles and powerful tails. Slugcats are slimy and at most, tough and leathery, with only small hairs called setae if you want to count that as fur. They have 4 mantles down their back and a thick patch of skin similar on their throat with four more protecting each limb. They have 4 antennae, the frontal tending to be long and slim and the rear tending to be club shaped. They lack any structure besides a chitinous "skull" underneath the extra skin on their heads where they house 3 beaks lined side by side and are covered by the extra skin to form lips. The extra skin is also used in to create false eyelids, allowing them to communicate with facial features. All slugcats may have a set size but can constrict and extend however they want, appearing larger or smaller than originally anticipated. And now individual headcanons:
Survivor & Monk: - both have injuries from the fall, head injury for survivor is based off a friend’s hc
Hunter: - self injury scars from trying to remove the rot cysts (hc from a friend) - due to formation on face, their lips cannot fully close
Gourmand: - tiny antennae - thick mantles
Artificer: - extra skin behind the head becomes large explosive saliva glands (appears to be an additional mantle) - appearance is due to being born in a toxic environment - face injury results in unable to close lips properly, loss of frontal and rear antenna, and deformation of eye
Rivulet: - single mantle - tail can flatten and form a wavy texture similar to arti’s arms to create a fin - pseudopupils - rear antennae are limbs covered in respiratory hairs
Saint: - leathery skin similar to that of a lizard’s, cannot close eyes due to this - long and very flexible frontal antennae - several pseudopupils and iridescent eyes
Spearmaster: - long by nature, however, cannot constrict their tail that much - extra skin on face was shrunk and beaks fused together - pseudopupils - spikes all over to ward off attackers, though the thinner spines are flexible

Actually, no. The shippers in the 911 fandom who primarily complain about Tommy and his past don't actually care about Tommy's past or his actions that contributed to the previous toxic workplace environment and harassment at the 118. Not everything is about a fucking ship, believe it or not, yet the only time they bring up his behavior is in relation to shipping. And because the only time they bring up a valid critique of Tommy's character is during shipping "discourse," I'm convinced it's not brought forth in good faith. Finding a way to tie everything to a ship—especially things like racism and misogyny—is cheap and tasteless. Not everything is about "shipping;" shut up about the shipping.
I don't think they actually want to discuss how white queers contribute to the marginalization of others, including other queer people, by weaponizing the patriarchy and/or white supremacy in their favor because so many of them are fellow white queers themselves. They don't care about how Tommy inadvertently, because of his past, provides a realistic portrayal of how white queers divide or hurt the larger community because of an inability to find solidarity with people of a different background, culture, or race (especially if it would "inconvenience" them or if it does not directly benefit them, like Chim saving Tommy's life). White people would rather choose misery and isolation over standing with or up for non-white people. White people are generally not willing to put in the work to build community; they'd rather contribute to the system or fly under the radar to avoid being shunned by the structures they, and the Ol' Boys Club, benefit from, like white supremacy or the patriarchy. Most white queers would rather be complaisant, complacent, and complicit. It's the white queer's adherence to oppressive systems that divide the community, not people's calls to tear those systems down. And it's only the white queer who can change their perspective on this.
Tommy only has himself to blame for his jealousy and alienation from a supportive and familial community, and only he can take the steps to ameliorate the situation. Tommy was an absolute fucking dick to Chim and Hen, and that has had long-term consequences on his life. Only he can correct for his behavior. He contributed to a toxic work environment, referring to Chim as a Chinese takeout delivery man, actively participating in Chim's hazing, and telling Chim that he did not like the man (mostly because he didn't know him). He would later call Hen "bitchy," and the men of the 118 would leave the "domestic work" to her as they did Chim, actively contributing to her hazing. He did not (verbally) stand up for her, iced her out, and also contributed to a homophobic work culture that made same-sex attraction the butt of jokes. He contributed to this toxic culture to fly under the radar, and that directly hurt people he should have extended a hand to.
Unfortunately for most of the fandom, this is, ultimately, a show that loves stories about redemption and resolution. And there is actual, explicit (meaning, non-subtextual) evidence that Tommy has put in some work to remedy what he did and who he was (including being able to 1.] own up to his past actions, 2.] understand how he hurt others, 3.] recognize why he did what he did and how that it is an explanation, not an excuse, and 4.] begin to make amends or rectify the situation, like reporting Gerrard and changing his mind about Hen and Chim). Hen and Chim would not have invited him for drinks regularly if they thought he was "irredeemable." The 118 would not have thrown him a going away party if they disliked him. Chim would not call in favors from Tommy on more than one occasion or even describe him as "so cool" if they weren't—well—cool. Eddie wouldn't enjoy ring-side fights and basketball games with Tommy if he didn't enjoy the man's company. Tommy also clearly refers to the type of man he was in the past tense, implying change over time. It can be argued that he has not put in enough work, but that's not what's being argued. We're getting bad faith arguments that Hen, Chim, and Eddie hate Tommy or bad faith arguments where Tommy's past actions are only brought forth as some sort of "gotcha" when a fan prefers canon representation over homophobic fan fiction tropes. You don't have to like Tommy, but making up non-textual reasons to dislike him is absurd.
Tommy, as a character in a narrative, provides a lesson for the general audience (GA), the majority of whom are white. It's not just important to see queer people on screen; it's important to see white people learn and change and admit they were wrong. It's also important that the show—well—shows the GA that whiteness and man-ness affect people's perception, position, and treatment. Tommy isn't just a gay man; he is a white gay man, and this has had a direct impact on how he navigates the world and how the world interacts with him. Gerrard treats men like Sal and Tommy differently than men like Chim or women like Hen, and staying in Gerrard's good graces—like the good graces of oppressive power structures—requires one to conform to a very narrow definition of a "real man," like being straight, white, palatable (like... not kinky, not risqué, not queer, all the things the fandom seems to actually hate Tommy for), and not helping oust regressive figures from positions of authority for the way they treat your coworkers. The audience got to see how Tommy went from being the prodigal son to being openly mocked by men like Gerrard. And it's important to show the GA that someone can and will be happier if they go against the grain and that admiration from men like Gerrard means very little in the grand scheme. Tommy is happier now after having been "rebuked" by men like Gerrard than he was when he strove for their praise and acceptance.
It's also important to show that men like Gerrard and his beliefs belong in the past, even though they exist in the present. This is a network TV show. A non-zero number of men like Gerrard catch this show weekly. It is still important to show that Gerrard is not the "type" of man anyone should aspire to be. His beliefs and actions are not commendable, and the show is very heavy-handed about this. The show is going to once again compare Gerrard ("bad captain") and Bobby ("good captain") to show how Bobby has created a good legacy at the 118. It began this parallel with Bobby Begins Again, continued to reinforce Bobby's good legacy in Buck's coma arc, and then revisited how Bobby has had a positive influence on the lives of the 118 in his season 7 montage. Now, the show is going to compare and contrast him and Gerrard to reinforce how important Bobby is to those around him. The show will also continue its inadvertent parallels between Buck and Tommy, showing how Buck is a different man under similar circumstances because he has had good influences (re: Bobby, Hen, and Chim) in his life. Buck and Eddie's relationship was shaping up to be very similar to Tommy and Chim's relationship: oppositional because of one-sided disregard and dislike, but it didn't because they had a good influence: Bobby (given the rather... fucked timeline, Tommy was likely newer to the 118 when Chim joined and, like Buck, his hostility and posturing were also likely influenced by insecurity and a desire to secure his position at the table).
Most unfortunately for many, the show is also going to show how Tommy has changed due to the same influences (re: Bobby, Hen, and Chim). They wouldn't have re-introduced both Tommy and Gerrard and mentioned their dynamic on more than one occasion if they weren't going to do something with that. Season 7 set up Tommy's upcoming arc very nicely. He knows the man he was, he knows the man who shaped him into that, and he knows how and why that was wrong. We'll get Tommy confronting his obvious daddy issues, jealousy, and desire for community (and why he didn't get a family-like dynamic at the 118, re: Gerrard *and* Tommy's own behavior). Tommy has been explicit about this, literally telling Buck that he envies the relationship the people at the 118 have and mentioning that he was not a good person, and this played a part in why he didn't have the same rapport.
9-1-1 is not a perfect show, but it does reflect some of the positive changes of our time. It's important to see representations of comp-het—like Buck, Tommy, and Michael—and how it negatively impacts people's character or relationships, and then how they—the character—can amend that. It's important to see stories that depict how silence is complicity and how refusing to be silent—as Hen refused to be—makes change and changes minds. It's important that the show reminds the audience that Hen is a black lesbian and that this has impacted how people see her and treat her, but that she is just as capable, if not more so. This includes men like Chim. Because I see nearly none of the people who "critique" Tommy in the name of "shipping" ever bring up how Chim has leaned on the patriarchy for support and a position at the table. He may have been the kindest to Hen, but he was by no means normal about women. And it is important to see how non-white men benefit from the patriarchy even as they are victimized by white supremacy. It's also important that the show shows the GA that non-white men are not affected by white supremacy equally, as Michael and Harry have had discussions about blackness and police brutality, a conversation that Chim is never going to have to have with his children, but that doesn't mean that Chim won't have to one day have a discussion with Jee-Yun about how and why some people treat her differently.
But the fandom approaches everything in a very... Catholic way. They don't approach this from the view that people can change and should be pushed to change; rather, they shun people like they've been marked by original sin. The structures we live under have deeply affected each and every one of our worldviews. "You are not immune to the propaganda" includes your personal philosophies and ideologies as well as the things you were taught since you were a child, consciously and "subconsciously." But, people would rather condemn everyone else as "irredeemable" than look critically at their own behavior out of fear of being "one of the bad ones." They'd rather *not* accept the fact that everyone has learning and changing to do as that would reflect upon them, too. This leads to being very resistant to being told that you're mistaken, you've hurt others, or that your behavior and beliefs contribute to repressive, dangerous, or toxic ideas (and we've seen a lot of that; y'all do not create safe online spaces). This leads to a lack of personal change as well as a lack of change at the interpersonal level because rather than teach or challenge, they stick up their nose and turn the other way. "Their barbaric bigotry; my enlightened neglect."
So, really, they've learned nothing from a character like Tommy.

So, didnt have a lot of progress to talk about on my new game since i had taken about 2-3 weeks to work on other things, but heres some of the work i`ve been putting into the world map and struckture.
So here we have what i call "zone maps" which consist of rough drawings of what areas are planned and how they are placed and connected. Since the game is themed around fire and wilderness, most areas are fiery twists on common fantasy environments and explore the many forms that heat and fire can take.
Some notable areas are:
Great caldera/Caldera outskirts: (dark red) Since flamebearers are highly resistant to heat and fire, it was an interesting subversion for the first area of the game to be a volcano. Boiling ridge/Boiling caverns: (cyan) The water area of the game, featuring harsh cliffside battered by a raging sea and plenty of geysers and thermal vents.
Pyrewoods: (bright red) A perpetually burning forest. The trees have adapted a thick insulating bark to protect themselves from the flame. Ashen highlands: (pale grey) An expansive plateau, located above the smoke of the forest. Deposits of ashes from the forest and caldera, fertilize the ground, making it a suitable place to build fields and villages. Sundered plains: (bright orange) A deadly desert, with plenty of glass structures formed from the scorching heat battering the sand.
City of cynders/Charred city (brown) The capital of an ancient civilization, burnt to the ground in times long past. Now only rubbles of sandstone and glass remains, and many myths of how exactly this city may have fell...
Frostburn pass: A gnarly canyon where frost and flame meet. Located between the great caldera and the ashen highlands. Brimstone bogs (dark green) ADark, smouldering swamps, where monstrous creatures lurk. A place long abandoned by the flamebearers and left to rot. Fuming crags (purple) Toxic fumes emanate from ancient fissures in the ground, rendering this region extremely dangerous to korugues and flamebearers alike. In the distance, an old castle lurk, long abandoned by those who used to call it home.
The melting pot: A loathsome pit of molten sludge, the heart of a twisted curse that cannot be destroyed or contained...
- Since were giving some building here, lets also describes some faraway lands that exist i nthe lore, but wont be seen in the game. South west: Nameless islands The great sea house many archipelago, conquered by the descendent of the flamebearer of the sea. South east: The frozen continent A distant landmass, overtaken by the ruthless cold. Ruled by the descendent of the frostbearer who could channel its power into cold instead of flames. North west: The endless peaks Towering mountains, reaching higher than the eye can see. Conquered long ago by the flamebearer of the sky and her children. North: Desolated expanse The sundered plains make way for a great wasteland. Long ago, the flamebearer of earth crossed through the desert and was rumored to have found habitable land on the other side, but very few dared cross the waste to verify those claims. East: The dark lands Lush forests cover the landscape, but those lands have long been forbidden. It is said that none of those who ventured to the east, not even the eldest and strongest son of the original flamebearer, was ever heard from again. My goal with these was that i wanted to imply a much bigger world beyond what is seen in the game (compared to irredeamable, almost claustrophobic worldbuilding) This next game will have plenty of distant lands and families to speculate on. I probably just wont do much with them myself. Anyway, all that stuff is subject to change as i work on it. The maps i provided are already pretty inaccurate, but that just means there will be much to discover when the actual game comes out.

Queer music with trans undertones.
That's a topic that I've only breached recently. Call me a little baby queer, but I never knew the wealth of cool music done by very cool people before this. There's a wide range of genres and different types of lyrics to go along with it. In this post, I'll focus down on music that I personally like. It may not be for you and that's perfectly understandable.
Glass Beach is a very cool band and their first album, while unrefined, has 2 songs in particular which I'm obsessed with.
youtube
Bedroom community is such a fun song and really holds true to much of my life experiences throughout my life. Because I live in an environment that does its best to isolate queer folk, that meant that the only way I could explore my gender identity and my sexual preferences was through the internet. And while not the point of the song, the song really gets me pumped up to be an annoying blasphemous little gremlin to all the nasty christo-fasc out there.
youtube
This song brings me to tears every time. The lyrics are just insanely personal and I think many trans femmes could connect with this song. Being misgendered by your peers and especially your family. Needing a desperate escape. Tackling with adulthood. The little holiday feeling of getting your HRT. It's much. It's so much. I'm bursting into tears even as I type this out. This song is so powerful. I can't help it! It's a song about me! Just for me and me alone! It's so personal aa!
youtube
While this song doesn't bring the same reaction from me, the lyrics and the melody is so melancholic and it's such a wonderful song. One of their later and more "mature" works as a band. It's great.
Now I'll do some randomly assorted different artists. I haven't explored their music as deeply as Plastic Beach. But these songs are a highlight for me. And I'm usually a really chaotic listener anyway.
youtube
This song is simple but it rocks. While I'm a gender conforming and very woman identifying trans femme, I'm also aware of the absurdity of the gender binary. And I think that even someone like me is inherently confusing and terrifying to the social systems that uphold this nonsensical binary. This song is a good way to remind ourselves how absurd and pointless our divide between "males" and "females" is not based around chromosomes or other confused markers but purely on cultural indicators of identity.
youtube
This song's lyrics are wonderful. It kind of reflects my recent posts on Tumblr and my frustration on weirdo internet people obsessed with my genitals and being creeps. Because bigotry is creepy and weird. The chorus of this song is especially really good and I find myself humming it along sometimes.
youtube
I'm not into ska, but I really enjoy this song in particular from this genre. The lyrics are fun and the theme of breaking apart and mixing gender identities is fun. It's a fun song. Because once gender stops being used as an authoritarian tool to enforce a binary, it can be fun finding the way to express yourself.
This is some of the stuff I've discovered recently. I think the main reason I'm making this post is a bit more of a serious and grim topic that I've touched upon a bit. I live in the Balkans and I live in a city that's infamous for street fights and toxic masculinity. You can imagine that being a trans femme, even if I pass well, still sets me up for a bunch of dangers. My country's politicians are conservative enough to the point that any idea of rights to LGBT folk isn't even considered, with concepts of queerness being considered a "threat" to the "traditional" family structure. Of course, all of this is a bunch of nonsense.
But it means that spaces for queer people are difficult to find. Apparently people congregate on Facebook, but Facebook where I live at is essentially Twitter. I'm not interested in torturing myself with that. That's left me feeling very isolated. I've recently actually tried to join some local Discord servers, but they were overwhelmingly dominated by cis gay men that seem to only be interested in sex. That's just not for me.
I think listening to music like this helps me feel less alone and more hopeful for the future. If anyone out there is dealing with the same loneliness I am, please find music that reflects your feelings. You'll feel a bit better about the world, knowing that you're not alone and your ideas aren't as foreign as you think.
You're wonderful.
You're valid.
And you're rad as heck.
Queer, trans, non-binary, non-conforming and any fun mixture of sexual orientation. You're the best!

Okay, guys. What do you think of fionapollos recent video?
Ganna be straight to the point, I didn’t like it. This is ganna be a long post so if y’all love reading, feel free to but I’m warning y’all now. Of course, what I’m going to say are my opinions only. This is coming from a person who actually follows Fionapollos, I love listening to her art commentary vids and I hope she keeps up the good work! But for this recent video specifically? I don’t think it was good. Not to say that Fionapollos didn’t handle this well for the most part, she’s always respectful and open minded and I’m glad for that, but the structure and overall execution of the video was poorly handled.
Outside of being an inspiring animator and a help to spread awareness of how incredible indie animation is, I have no respect for Vivziepop, but that doesn’t mean I want to be biased or one sided. There were only two sections of this video I agreed with, it’s in three segments. The first segment was about Erin Frost and the evidence they had provided, and like me and some have been saying, the evidence just wasn’t strong enough to indicate a really toxic environment, especially since what Erin had provided was screenshots of her being on good terms with Jane and Sam. I never really saw an issue with Jane deciding to move the assignment to someone else since Erin was struggling, because like Fionapollos said, people in this business just want to get stuff done and if someone can’t do it, they have to take measures where someone else can.
Now maybe this wasn’t mentioned because there isn’t really evidence to support it, (it’s just a statement) but we do know that according to Ashley Nicholas, Viv had talked behind Erin’s back, calling her too mentally unstable to work. I personally believe that there was a lot of gossip provided by Viv and/or Jane and Sam regarding Erin, they’ve all shown to be shady before so I just wouldn’t be surprised if this were true, however let’s move on. Other parts of the video I agree on were Fionapollos simply just being fair. She stated that the fake document is damaging to indie companies and studios, and how her audience has the right to feel the way they feel, but outside of that there wasn’t anything specific that I agreed on outside of the Erin stuff. Her closing thoughts were nice as usual, but I’ll move on to the actual issues I had with the video.
If I had to speak in general, I feel like Fionapollos just didn’t have enough evidence, cause this video is basically a rehash of what her last one was, where she didn’t have enough evidence back then, only this time in her personal opinion, Viv is just a flawed non-perfect person who makes mistakes and needs to stop being put up on a pedestal and idolized as someone who is perfect….something I drastically disagree with but I’ll get into more of that later. When I say that she doesn’t have enough evidence, what I mean is that the stuff that she looked at is only the FROSTING of the iceberg pointing to Viv being a narcissist who mistreats her employees. Like I said there’s only three sections, and the only section where she actually looks at evidence against Spindle is Erin’s section and the document, something that was obviously fake and I’ve already shared how I dislike it when people pay more attention to the fake/troll side of things rather than the real actual evidence. I was shocked/bothered to see that KenDraws’s document isn’t even mentioned here, since the topic of this vid is how Viv/Spindle treats her employees and that document could have been a MASSIVE factor in evidence pointing towards the mistreatment being legit in some areas. Instead, the majority of this vid is very empty and lacks something that you could make a case out of. Of course she was going to go with the “I just think Vivziepop is flawed”- route, because she doesn’t have the same knowledge of evidence and drama that Viv has been through, wether that be in the past few months or past 2 years. It’s just clear that she so far has only seen a few bits and pieces of evidence but not the mass amount pointing to Viv being a problematic childish person. And I get it, she’s not like others where she constantly follows every single move Viv makes or constantly checks her status online, but if you’re going to make a video like this, you should be more informed.
The middle part of the video is the worst. It’s dedicated to talking about the fake document and AnimationCallout, (which this section of the video doesn’t do much, it’s just panting Spindle in a victimizing light) and she also dismisses the transphobic allegations by saying it was included in the false document so it makes her question if that is true as well (despite the fact that the screenshot of Viv’s discord messages had been floating around awhile before the document). The biggest part that made me roll my eyes is where she mentions Viv’s old weird art, indicating that she assumes people spite her all because of old shit she did years and years ago, which if you know me is another thing I hate the people bring up regarding Viv’s controversies. Her old art is irrelevant. This entire middle section felt irrelevant because the topic is about Spindle mistreating their employees so I don’t know why she felt the need to bring that up as well as how fake documents affect animation studios but that’s just me.
There’s also things that weren’t mentioned that bother me. Like I said KenDraws document wasn’t mentioned, but there’s more. The most obvious is that Erin ain’t the only member who left Spindle. For a video about Spindlehorse mistreating their employees, there’s no mention of anyone else, or people who claimed to be mistreated. KenDraws, Ashley Nicholas, Salem Squidder, Nicolas Jordan, Jane Walker, the list goes on. This is evidence that there’s definitely more going than just “Viv is flawed”. You can only use that excuse so long, as more and more people who were close or her or worked on her stuff left.
I also feel like it’s a glaring issue that Spindlehorse/Viv never acknowledge their mistakes or even confront their controversies. Name one time Spindle came out and made an official statement on the allegations or drama. Zero. They always let the fire burn, hide behind the fanbase, and wait for the waters to cool before moving on and pretending nothing ever happened, only speaking up if someone dare call Viv problematic. They silence any ex member and never take accountability, and it’s something the public has yet to acknowledge, no one ever acknowledges this shit and I’m so tired of it. This is why I never agree with anyone who tries to paint them in a victimizing light filled with people who are “just trying to get by” when there’s no evidence that leaves me to believe that’s true, especially when they’re too cowardly to even confront something or make a fucking statement. Doesn’t help that they always ignore allegations against Viv or just shut the other side down by simply saying “she was nice to me end of story”. How are we supposed to believe that these people are genuine who don’t want to hurt anyone if they aren’t saying anything? How are we supposed to believe Viv is just an imperfect person if she NEVER acknowledges her faults and keeps making the same mistakes over and over again?
I truly believe that Fionapollos had good intentions, but I’m really tired of folks just dismissing Viv or the shady stuff that’s been going on at spindle with just “they’re imperfect stop putting them up on a pedestal”. Like I said there’s plenty of evidence pointing to the people at Spindle lacking self awareness and Viv being an abuser who blacklists people and talks behind other’s backs, so this vid just didn’t do any justice. She just doesn’t know the half of it. Sorry.

The death cap mushroom (Amanita phalloides) is one of the most toxic and deadly mushrooms in the world. It’s responsible for the majority of fatal mushroom poisonings, as it contains potent toxins called amatoxins that are highly resistant to heat and enzymes, meaning they remain toxic even after cooking.
Characteristics of the Death Cap
Appearance:
Cap: It has a pale green to olive-brown, smooth cap that can be mistaken for other edible mushrooms. The cap is usually 5–15 cm in diameter, with a somewhat sticky surface when wet.
Gills: The gills beneath the cap are white and free (not attached to the stalk).
Stalk: The stalk is white or pale, with a swollen base that may have a cup-like structure (volva).
Spore Print: The spore print of the death cap is white.
Habitat:
It is most commonly found in temperate regions, particularly in Europe and North America, often growing in association with hardwood trees like oak, chestnut, and pine.
It thrives in moist environments, typically appearing in late summer or fall.
Toxicity and Symptoms of Poisoning
Death cap mushrooms contain several toxic compounds, with amatoxins being the most lethal. These toxins inhibit RNA polymerase II, a critical enzyme in protein synthesis, leading to cell death—especially in the liver and kidneys.
Poisoning Stages:
Latency Period (6-12 hours): After ingestion, there is a deceptive phase with no symptoms, which can lull people into a false sense of security.
Gastrointestinal Phase (12-24 hours): Violent abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea occur, leading to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
Apparent Recovery (1-2 days): Symptoms seem to improve, but this is an illusion. Meanwhile, liver and kidney damage is worsening internally.
Liver/Kidney Failure (3-5 days): If untreated, the liver and kidneys begin to fail, leading to coma and potentially death.
Treatment
Immediate medical attention is critical. Hospital treatment often involves:
Activated Charcoal: Administered to absorb any remaining toxins.
Intravenous fluids: To manage dehydration.
Liver Transplant: In severe cases, patients may require a liver transplant to survive.
Unfortunately, even with aggressive treatment, the death rate for death cap mushroom poisoning can range from 10–30%.
Edibility Confusion
One of the most dangerous aspects of the death cap is its resemblance to edible mushrooms. It can easily be confused with mushrooms like the paddy straw mushroom (Volvariella volvacea) and the caesar’s mushroom (Amanita caesarea), particularly in its early stages of growth.
Cultural Impact and History
Death caps have a long and infamous history:
In ancient Rome, they were believed to have been used in political assassinations, notably in the death of Emperor Claudius.
Poisonings continue to occur worldwide, often involving foragers who mistake the death cap for an edible mushroom, particularly in areas where foraging is common.
Conclusion
The death cap mushroom is a highly toxic species that requires caution and awareness. It highlights the importance of proper identification and knowledge for those who forage mushrooms.

(I’m rambling in this, apologies)
So, here’s my two cents on the horrible, toxic relationship that cheated on both sides thing. And I know it’s absolutely no ‘who’s more right or who’s more wrong’ situation, the entire thing is just messed up and horribly tragic from the start:
From what I can gather, and I may be wrong which I apologize, but it started off on one side at first. There was a breaking point somewhere that ended up revealing an even deeper hole they were digging. Essentially, it was a lose-lose situation. No one was getting out of it with something positive.
Now, there’s no excuse at all and there’s no beating around the bush in saying that both did horrible things to others and especially each other. But if we consider the environment they lived and were raised in, not to mention that the cheating likely happened after YEARS of fighting and fighting and fighting as kids, then teenagers, then young adults; despite all of that, they likely had no one else to turn to but each other. It was a matter of survival under the facade of living.
But there’s a question that remains to be answered: Who started the toxicity, and continued to push the other to the point of fighting back?
And yet, they still knew each other more than any other stranger; You can’t just let go of someone so familiar so easily.
And then there’s the multiple reports of others that knew them, and they pretty much agreed on the same thing that (according to them), Kim was the generally more unpleasant one. You can be treated unfairly, be a victim, but also be incredibly difficult to get along with let alone help, and that didn’t help her case at all.
(In my opinion, I think everyone’s an ass, and I’m taking their words with a grain of salt.)
Still, Marshall going out with Kesia whilst being married? Yeah that’s fucked up. If Kim was also cheating during that same time then it’s doubly fucked up.
Final point: Marshall used his music as a way to express his rage and retaliation. And it definitely worked… a bit too well. Probably riding off of that satisfaction of feeling like you’re finally getting something good in a warzone of bad must’ve felt like a sick sort of heaven.
Don't you dare apologize for rambling. Nothing fills my heart with joy more than people leaving long ass messages in my Asks ❤️ (nice ones, at least 😅)
I absolutely agree with you ! The whole thing was tragic and unhealthy and it really pisses me off to see some people romanticize that situation. If Marshall Mathers hadn't turned into a successful rapper who, it seems, cleaned up his act, everyone would look at him for what the situation makes him look like : a lying, cheating asshole who eventually turned into a abusive husband.
Now, I know it takes two to tango. But from what I see online (algorithm might make me biased though ?) tons of people call out Kim's abuse towards him. Yet, only few people call him out. And I'll be honest : as much as I like him as an artist, as much as I love his music, it bothers me to see a woman treated this way when, in truth, the whole situation was messed up, on both sides.
From what I know, both of them had a rough upbringing and it certainly didn't help matters. It is a fact that the situation of the household, the family structure and the potential abuse in the family have an impact on people's development. For her as much as for him, guess it sort of made sense that they reproduced a fucked up pattern.
As to the question of who started it, we may never know. I don't think Marshall actually spoke about the situation in depth, and neither did Kim, I think ? I Most accounts we have come from third parties so who knows the credit we might give them... I don't doubt that there's some level of truth there, but I tend to be wary of people who step forward to give insider scoops about other people's relationships...
In truth, I don't think it matters who started it. If the matter is settled between these two, then it's their business. What counts, is my opinion, is that people are aware of the mechanisms that might lead them to vilify one while absolving the other.
As for both Kim and Marshall, I hope they're happy where they are in life now, that they got the help they needed and that they're able to maintain healthy relationships for the sake of their kids.

cant believe no ones asked about cross's smoochability yet
Well guys, it looks like we’ve got our first perfect score! Cross got a rating of 12 out 12, so he’s the perfect candidate to be smooched
1) Is Cross’s mouth dangerous at all? From what I know, he has these tiny little fangs, as opposed to the standard flat teeth that most Sanses seem to have. His fangs could poke your lips, but not enough to do seriously injure you or draw blood, so that being said, his mouth is safe. 2 points for mouth safety
2) Would he bite? Not intentionally. I could see him maybe nipping a little on accident if the kiss is done in more of a clumsy sort of way, but he doesn’t seem like someone who’d purposely bite super hard with the intention of causing pain. Is he aggressive? He can be if the situation calls for it, since he’s not afraid to put his foot down. Most of the time and in casual settings though, no, I don’t see him as being an aggressive person. That being said, he gets 2 points for being nice and exercising self control
3) Are there any health hazards to the smoocher? That we know of, no there’s not. He’s clean and he keeps up with his hygiene, he’s not leaking gross fluids everywhere, and while he does carry weapons, he’s a former guard, so I’d assume he knows how to be safe about how he carries and handles them, to avoid accidentally hurting anyone. X!Gaster manipulating him in Underverse aside, I don’t see any health hazards about him, so there’s 2 more
4) Does he have a sympathetic backstory? From what I know about him and his whole story, he has a very fragmented relationship with his brother, because he wanted his own identity outside of being a Sans, and Paps didn’t really seem to fully grasp that. I could be missing details about their relationship, but I just know they don’t get along. Then there’s the issue with X!Gaster being a horrible father who was never there for either of his sons. He was emotionally absent, and he seemed entirely unconcerned about them (just from what I’ve seen and what I know). So right there, Cross has this horrible family structure; he’s got both sibling issues and daddy issues. Then from the little information I can recall right now, he got into it with Error and nearly died somehow, and then he was manipulated into working for Nightmare. Which… as much as I like Nightmare, he’s not a nice person. Cross went from a very shaky home environment, to a very shaky work environment, where he couldn’t really count on anyone. His only friend for a while was Ink, but we see how well that went over in Underverse. Things started to turn around for him when he left Nightmare and started working with Dream instead, but there’s no doubt that he probably still has a lot of residual trauma from everything. So for points, I think he deserves 2. His upbringing and backstory in general was super rough and there were areas that were very tragic for him, no doubt
5) Does he deserve a smooch? In short,, yes, absolutely. He had a very rough upbringing and it probably took a bit for him to actually open up to anyone, but rather than letting that consume him and turning completely bad and evil because of it, he made the choice to be better than that. He still had anxiety and probably some other issues too, but he chose to walk away from the toxic environment that was working for Nightmare. He walked away, and he went with Dream, who made him feel like more of an equal, and less of a subordinate. Cross walked away and made the choice to be better than his former boss and teammates, which paved the way for a somewhat brighter future. He made the right choices and he has my respect for that, so he gets 2 points
6) Is Cross cute or cool? He can be a cutie from time to time, and I do like his design, since the monochrome look is unique to him, I think. There are probably other Sanses that are monochrome too, but of them all, I think he’s the most well known. His strength and skills in combat, his laidback personality, and his look (despite being a bit rough around the edges) earn him a full 2 points for coolness
In total, Cross gets a rating of 12. He gets a perfect score! He’s awkward and may not have a lot of kissing experience, but he’s very careful about pretty much everything he does. I feel like if he was smooched, he’d get embarrassed, start blushing, and probably trip over his words for a moment before simply asking why you suddenly smooched him. If you already knew him really well when you chose to plant a kiss on him, he might even awkwardly thank you for it while trying to avoid eye contact, because he’s a bit of a tsundere from time to time like that

It's called learned helplessness
When people ask why Izuku didn't fight back, the reason is because he was mentally primed not to.
To train an elephant, you get one when it's a baby and you tie it to the biggest, thickest tree you can find. The baby elephant will attempt to pull itself free and get exhausted in the escape attempt, only to learn that it cannot do it. You repeat this experience as many times as needed. The elephant tries, and it learns that its strength is not enough. The end result is that regardless of how big and strong the elephant gets, it will always have this mental framework of what is and isn't possible. So when it's fully grown, you can tie it to a very little tree and it won't even attempt to escape. It knows it can't break trees, so it won't even try. What does elephant training have to do with bullying? They work the same way. This state is called learned helplessness. Most living beings are susceptible to it. The scenario has obviously changed on the outside, but the elephant will still follow the old pattern. To put it succinctly, the elephant has beliefs about themselves that prevents them from performing actions that they're capable of. They do not see escape as an option, despite being able to just walk away. The elephant can uproot a tree but they won't. They cannot see it because of this mental block. Humans function the same way and often need someone from the outside to help break the cycle, via educating them of what's happening or intervening. In canon, All Might telling Izuku he could be a hero is what broke him out of that mindset and got him to train.
But when people ask why wouldn't he, the question is, why would he? What in his life would empower him to make decisions like these? He had no support structure, he had no one believing in him. He had zero friends and clung to a childhood friendship that ended when he was 5. We're talking about a decade of almost total social isolation and bullying, while the only person who isn't a prick to him is his mother. Who pities him. He's been treated this way longer than he hasn't. The strength and motivation to act has to come from somewhere. It's really not surprising that he'd behave this way in such a toxic environment. Nothing about Izuku's life before the start of the series is structured in a way that's conducive to his success.
I couldn’t say it any better myself. This is fantastically written and structured and I feel it’s something everyone should read regarding how Izuku feels.

Spectember D18: Ecological engineering
The semi toxic lands of the planet Pharax are result of its young age of formation as this planet only has existed for nearly 2 billion years, geological records seems to remark that it could have hosted complex life for a while after finding traces of a previous terraforming event for a now extinct civilization 80 million years ago that brough a different variety of what’s supposed to have been their homeworld life, which seems to have failed in their colonization as no trace of advance settlements were found or any organism as complex as a amoeba-like creature for the fauna, but something remarkable is that there is still in existence an unique ecological flora agent that apart to have survived by its own the harsh conditions, it also turned quite successful on thriving at managing the environment it created.
The Chthonic Lichen is the only terrestrial flora organism to exist on the planet and the most prominent organisms, it forms on large fields nearby recently inactive volcanic regions, feasting on the chemicals and grow exponentially covering the soil with a 50 cm deep cap that looks semi crusty, with prominent semicircular shaped structures that correspond often to what is often called the autotropic nodes, large photosynthetic structures that allows the organism to exploit the sunlight in the middle below there is a second cap formed by tissue that works sort of like a vascular plant, although lacks any cell and it behaves like a fungus spreading and collecting nutrients, and in the edges of the super organism there is the third detoxifying cap, a series of multiple ciliated tissue that properly digest and modify the terrain to be suitable for the other two tissues to grow up. Sometimes growing around lakes the second cap properly just grows around the water body they start isolate them and filter the toxins of it if they are acidic or just filled with impurities, normally more disorganized root like structure forms, which often host potential seeds they deliver when the time comes. Although it seems that the majority of the main colonies of this organisms are cloned multiple times from a single individual they can also wander free in the shape of a motile seed structure that crawls around an stays mostly inactive, these drone seeds often works as detritus feeders that eat the substrate rich on microorganisms to regain energy and then walk to the most lifeless regions of the continent on which would plant itself and start growing a new colony, digesting the toxic grounds and creating new ideal conditions for the mega organism to grow again.
The way the organisms regulates the environment has caused two interesting effects, one which at large scale has regulated the greenhouse gas amount, making it more cooler of what normally the planet temperature would get if it did not have complex flora on its surface and regulated the oxygen amount so it doesn’t poison exaggeratedly the atmosphere; as well when colonies dies or just wash away for any precipitation it provides of a burst of nutrients to the ocean, which for studies on the microorganisms diversity in the regions where these nutrient flow constantly is replenished, the complexity of life is greater than in place which lacks that burst. As geological activity is still too young that for example the first continent have formed just 200 million years ago, so many aspects of the chemistry of the planet are still developing, and probably without the chthonic lichen life conditions similarly to the Ediacaran wouldn’t have risen until probably other 2 billion years, but now this world might see the development of its own native multicellular life evolution in probably 300 million years, which is a lot of time, but for a planetary scale is very, very young.

What r ur ocs like!
OHHHHH boy the problem with my ocs is that the story i have for them is really big and unnecessarily complicated so it makes it hard to talk about them rip. ive actually been planning on trying to update their designs (since i haven't drawn most of them in years) and explain the story more yknow. i actually do have recent drawings of my two favorite ocs that i haven't shared yet though so i suppose now is the time to do it
this is wyatt! he is definitely my favorite oc. he's 25, saudi, and a cis gnc gay man. he's 5'2 and is incredibly cute. he's the epitome of the >:3 face and can be mean at times, but is very soft with his boyfriend. he has a tragique past with an abusive father and has some pretty gnarly ptsd. he died once (he's okay now though) by drowning so he's afraid of water. he can see dead people which is fun. his role in the story is a bit of reverse grim reaper, he has the power to bring people back to life, although maintains the reaper aesthetic. he has a big knife and if he pierces a dead person they'll be revived, but if it pierces a living person they'll dissolve into dust and not even their spirit remains. he has powers like being able to float, go through walls, teleport short distances etc. some danny phantom shit.
this is hayden, wyatt's boyfriend. he's a gay trans man, 26 years old, 6'0, indian. he's an engineer and kind of a genius, taught himself calculus kinda shit. he has electric-adjacent powers (purple lightning!) and his role is that of an electrical engineer, performing maintenance on the power structures to keep everyone's powers working. he's also an inventor and has a steampunk-esque workshop where he builds a bunch of cool shit. he used to have an identical twin sister but she kiiiinda died when they were 14 and he has conflicting feelings about it because she wasn't exactly the best person to him. everyone in this story can shapeshift (albeit slowly over time) so he had a nice easy time transitioning. he lifts weight to cope with depression (and so he can pick up his boyfriend, the most importantest reason)
he and wyatt met when they were 15 and 16 and theyre very much in love. maybe a little codependent but shhhhh it's okay the environment they're in kinda calls for it. when wyatt was young he would see the fairytales where a princess would be rescued by a knight or prince and he wished one would save him from his abuse as well (alongside wishing that boys could be princesses, his journey from growing up in an extremely toxically (is that a word even??) house to accepting that he's allowed to like boys and be feminine was a hard one) and hayden was kinda like that dream come true! it was also fun bc hayden was able to give wyatt all his girl stuff from before he transitioned to give it a spin. hayden also really enjoys having a boyfriend thats smaller and daintier than him, makes him feel more masculine. over all they are incredibly in love and i'm obsessed with them and they occupy my thoughts a lot. i'm so sad bc i don't have a recent drawing of them, the last finished drawing i have of them together is from 2019 wtf 😭

SOCIETY & TECHNOLOGY
Though each location in Synastry has subtle variations in culture and the technology making the environment livable, there are some basic assumptions that are constant across all Houses & Stations. GENDER ROLES, SOCIETAL EXPECTATIONS, & ORIENTATION There are no longer defined expectations for gender roles or societal persecution for an individual's orientation or gender expression. For the purposes of gameplay, this means that dynamics like the patriarchy, toxic masculinity, and homophobia do not exist and have been replaced by the considerations below. A character may still experience doubts while they explore their own orientation, but they will not experience persecution on these axes. Bioengineering has advanced to a degree where family structures can take genetic material from two or more parents of any gender. PREJUDICES Various prejudices that may express themselves are aspects of economic class, origin, planetary history, education, or political alignment between the empire and its rebels. We remind writers of our commitment to respecting the stories of the marginalized, so please review the materials articulated in our boundaries page if you wish to explore this kind of content. LANGUAGE All of the original languages of the Solar System still exist and are spoken in pockets; however, translation technology is increasingly common and available in a cochlear clip. Universal Empire is the official spoken language of all Empire locations, but there is cultural interest in preserving language as a way to honor the origin myths of the first house. FACTIONS Like many of us today, most citizens are loyal to the Empire, even if they harbor some disdain for the political machine. The fact of the matter is that the closer you are to the oligarchy, the more benefits you tend to receive — pilots, magicians, and military folks are usually well-looked after, with the result being that ordinary folks are often left to sort through the scraps. The Retrograde movement is a direct result of these imbalances, and characters who select Retrograde in their allegiance should be actively rebelling against the government in some way. Others have chosen a different path — joining criminal groups who skirt the law but who are more interested in near-term survival than political reform.
TIMEKEEPING Time passes differently in all Synastry locations according to the planet's gravity, orbit, and rotational speed, but the Empire marks time in Universal Empire Time, which represents Earth-GMT.
CURRENCY The universal currency of the realm is the Obolos, a reference to the myth of providing coins for the boatman upon one's death. Hard cash is a thing of the past; exchanges are made in electronic credits.
TRAVEL All House locations have high speed travel connecting terrestrial stations, making getting across the planet a matter of a few minutes or a handful of hours. Travel across the empire is accomplished by using either magically-empowered exo to move from place to place or to accompany a magician through the drift. Travel through subspace is a way to fold the universe in on itself; crossing the solar system can happen in just a few hours. Interplanetary travel would not be possible without the power of fuel derived from a substance called TRANSIT, which seems to be a new magical element introduced since the solar system's restart.
COMMUNICATION & TECH All locations are connected via a communication network working as an interplanetary internet. This infrastructure is fundamentally supported by the Empire, leaving some rebels to work on developing alternate modes of communication — a kind of outer rim pirate radio. Access to the internet can include alternate reality spaces. Most Empire locations also have some level of machine or robotic support.
BIOTECH Animus units represent the peak of bio-engineering at the moment, but other medical interventions have been developed to improve and extend human life. Each house has improved access to family planning, including technology which allows for parents of multiple gender expressions to have children. Bionics can be used to offset physical disabilities, but can be expensive, leading to a separation in the market and the proliferation of some black market devices.
DRUGS Various substances, including ordinary marijuana and alcohol, are still available in Empire locations — along with illegal drugs sold by criminal organizations. However, the most notable drug in the entire sol system is the use of TRANSIT, which can confer higher degrees of mental acuity, including temporary clairvoyant or other psychic benefits, to its users. This magical substance is addictive and can result in psychological decline. Distribution of Transit for these purposes outside of official sanctioned use is illegal in the Empire, since it is difficult to find and necessary to power interplanetary travel in most ships.

Anastasios Ofthalmós
Name: Anastasios Ofthalmós Age: 14 Height: 5'4" Weight: 135 lbs Birthday: March 3rd Orientation: Graysexual Scars/Piercings/Tattoos: Two piercings in the lobes of both ears and a henna tattoo on his arm in the shape of the House Ofthalmós crest that is regularly renewed Trainer Class: Psychic
Appearance: A young teen with androgynous features. He may look feminine at first glance, but a second look will reveal some masculine features (i.e. Adam's apple, hip structure, etc.) He has the famous characteristics of his lineage- olive brown skin, golden hair, and golden eyes, and while he may look rather scrawny, he has the musculature of someone who's trained in self-defense their whole life, so he's not weak by any means. He can be seen wearing anything from the kind of casual traveler clothes a young noble boy might wear to elaborate decorative robes if the occasion suits it.
Defining Features: Anastasios' most notable features are the characteristics of his bloodline- olive-brown skin, golden hair, and cat-like golden eyes that seem to glow. House Ofthalmós also has slightly pointed ears (more similar to what you'd expect on a demon or a vampire rather than long like an elf) which Anastasios has inherited as well.
Personality: Anastasios is a very upright and protective person. He'll do whatever it takes to protect the other members of House Ofthalmós as he sees them as reliant on him since he'll be the next patriarch. He pressures himself to make the best decisions possible for the happiness of the family and wants to do what he can to make the house a less caste-like environment. Outside of his role as young patriarch, however, he can be very cocky and condescending. He's known for having the kind of tongue that can be both as smooth as silver or as dangerous as thorns depending on the situation, and he's never the one to throw the first punch (but he is always the last.) Despite this, he does have a semblance of a normal teenage boy beneath his maturity and confidence, but he's only willing to show that to the people he feels close enough to open up to.
Backstory:
Anastasios was born the grandson to House Ofthalmós Patriarch. As soon as he was born, he was identified by the family god to be the reincarnation of their progenitor. This was later proven as, even for the Ofthalmós who learn quickly, he immediately knew his letters, numbers, how to read, and basic math. THe memories, however, didn't come until later, and he didn't realize what Celia calling him 'Esaias' meant until the old memories started to integrate themselves. Sometimes he'd find himself looking for someone who wasn't there or responding in a barbed manner that he hadn't meant to say. He eventually realized that this was because of memories that he hadn't obtained in this life, and he spent a great deal of time trying to separate 'Anastasios' from 'Esaias'. His memory finally started to stabilize when he reached 12, and he finally managed to figure out who he wanted 'Anastasios' to be. And that wasn't Esaias. The Esaias of his memories was a toxic, broken man who couldn't even properly care for the people he loved. Anastasios wanted to be more than that, and he rejected his identity as Esaias in order to do so, even going so far as to get angry and reject Celia when she would call him by his old name. He began taking on work from his grandfather as is became more clear that he would likely be the new patriarch, and by the age of 14, he was performing many of the duties and even had authority to act as the Patriarch's proxy. However, as he prefers to do many things that he could delegate himself, he wound up being the one to investigate the disappearance of one of his distant cousins, Calypso, which is when he met Hikaze, the reincarnation of Esaias' best friend and work partner, Kazuya.
Abilities:
Sight: Anastasios can See what the House calls 'The Ultra-Reality', the true nature of all things, and can interpret it far better than his predecessor due to cognitive training. He can detect health problems, understand intent, and even interpret emotions through the Ultra-Reality, amongst many other things.
Prophetic Dreams: Anastasios can see the Past, Present, and Future when he sleeps, however what he sees is usually determined by his surroundings and visions of the Past and Present are usually of ‘secrets’ of the darker variety. Dreams of the Future are often cryptic and more symbolic than literal in nature, and thus require research upon waking.
Weapon Proficiency: Anastasios is trained to handle a variety of weapons from daggers to pole-arms to swords. His preference is for daggers, but he can get by with just about anything. While his Sight can supplement some ability, he would still lose in a fight with someone who makes fighting their livelihood, however.
Self-Defense: Anastasios is proficient in self-defense techniques and excels in hand-to-hand combat. His methods attack the vitals directly and, due to his smaller stature, focus more on using the enemy's momentum against them rather than brute strength.
FCs:
Liese Klein from Reincarnated Elf
