you can put jokes in the main tag, but be aware that opens you up to people outside of your followers seeing these jokes & you potentially receiving criticism for them. a lot of people, myself included, won't see much separation between a joke and a take. even if you're not intending to express a serious opinion disco elysium fandom as a whole is more likely to consider the implications behind posts, even those that aren't meant to be serious. so it's just something to be mindful of when you're considering what the intent of your post is & what audience you feel comfortable putting it in front of
Very much noted and will keep that in mind. Thanks!

Note
yes you can use just "de" as your personal tag for disco posts, that's what I do on my own blog for things I don't want in the main tag
Oh brilliant I’ll do that. Thanks for your time anon I appreciate it.

Note
Usually people separate "maintagging" (original posts about the fandom's content), meta tagging (original posts about fandom), and generally their own blog. So if you reblog and tag with "disco elysium", that's okay, it only applies to your blog. If you make an original post that has nothing to do with disco elysium but you want your followers to be able to filter it without also making it public (for reading and discussion) use a different tag.
Thanks for explaining, is it alright to put joke posts under the main tag, or is it not a good thing (if not then I’ve been doing it wrong for a month straight, sorry)
Meta tagging is I’m assuming like one of the posts I got out today that I put under the wrong tag, it’s not about the game but about the fandom, there’s a tag for that kind of posts or that goes under a personal tag also?

Note
also it's pretty standard practice to have a personal tag for a fandom that you use when you want to fandom tag for just your blog or for people's blacklists, so using "de posts" & "disco elysium" depending on the post & if you want the whole fandom to see it or not is totally fine
Oh okay, would it be alright if I use something short, for example if I just tag as de, because honestly I’m a bit dense and I worry if I’ll forget my tags, like one day I’ll tag a post “de posts” and another “de post” and have no consistency and end up bothering people, would a short and simple easy to remember tag work

Note
the main tag is for posts that you intend to be seen by potentially the entire fandom, so things like fanart, analysis, a joke you want to reach a wide audience, specifically things that are directly related to the thing you're tagging. basically if you want it to be just for you/for your followers, don't use a main tag. if you want everyone to see it (& open yourself up to criticism potentially) use the main tag
Oh I see, you’d think I’d have thought that myself but no I’m only just learning this from you. Thanks for explaining!

Also, just in case: The way people discover things on Tumblr in smaller fandoms is checking the tag. Everything you tag is public. People are reading the posts and your blog because you are tagging, so please be mindful of what you post in the public discussion space.
Right, that’s straightforward but also a bit too vague for me, sorry. Does that mean if I don’t want to invite discussions I shouldn’t put my posts under the main tag then
or tagging in general I’m assuming

I'm sorry but EVERYONE knows about your account and your posts because you put every single one of them in the main Disco Elysium tag, I'm genuinely confused why you think no one would know about your posts
Objectively not everyone but I take your point. Sorry I only ever became active on this first ever blog of mine about a month ago, still very new at this. What kind of posts belong on the main tag if you don’t mind me asking?

Note
I would really appreciate it if you didn't put unrelated posts in the Disco Elysium main tag
Hm I was only thinking for people who are following me to siphon out one fandom from the other because these are from de fandom
But I take your point. I’ll make a new tag for these posts.

Let’s call that more or less done. I will still direct people to my response post and answer questions, but rest assured, my terrible and juvenile sense of humour stays. I will explain what I actually think about something on a serious post if asked, but my stupid joke posts will stay stupid because I’m not smart. Things will get exaggerated, things will even be grotesquely exaggerated depending on who you ask. I apologise only for when I have a bad attitude or come across as rude, but I won’t apologise for what looks like a take on a post of mine when there’s not meant to be one. Yes if someone isn’t sure and asks, I will say “oh actually I didn’t intend for it to be taken seriously” and I hope that doesn’t come off as the Schrödinger’s asshole situation. It’s always been the case where most, if not all of my posts are just meant to entertain people who have similar sense of humour as I do (my condolences to these people /jk)
Nothing is ever going to dissuade me from thinking up stupid posts and post them. Some of them should probably stay in the draft, but hey, not everyone has common sense. Even people whose opinions are something like “you are going too far for a joke because it strays from canon too much”
Yes. My posts will stray from canon, sometimes too much, and they will continue to be that way. Yes. They are stupid. Yes. They are oversimplified and over exaggerated and do not faithfully represent canon whatsoever. It’s never meant to be informative, it’s never meant to be a thinly veiled opinion hidden behind a shitpost, and I will never claim otherwise. Sincerely, that’s where I’m at and that’s where I’m coming from consistently on this blog.
But it’s fine on both sides. It’s always a potentiality when you make posts in any fandom. People responding to my posts whatever their attitude may be, it’s all fine. If a post bothers or upsets you, it’s counterintuitive for many to assume OP comes from any place of good faith. And that’s why I respond to every post and try to explain myself. Most people don’t know about this account or what I post here, and not everyone has the same attitude as I do about certain things a large amount of people are passionate about. And that’s a good thing. This fandom benefits from serious discussions, I’m just not adding to that myself. I’ll try to gently guide away people who are a bit more serious than I am about these posts as soon as I can manage just to save everyone’s trouble (and this isn’t to be dismissive, I just don’t think it’s a good thing to let misunderstandings percolate for too long, I don’t imagine it to be nice when you draft out a discussion/argument/response to a post and OP comes back with a ‘LOL it’s not that deep bro’. That’s when it becomes disrespectful and exasperatingly so. Another thing is with the intention to only post shits and giggles, the last thing I want is for people to be riled up and get angry about them, it really is just not worth it. Frankly I also don’t want that level of stress for myself either. So I try to put my disclaimer in early before many spend their time on things like this.) and you are certainly welcome to block me if you don’t like what you see here. No offence taken, it’s not personal.
The only thing that is personal is if I myself come off as an asshole in any discussion and if I am, please let me know, I’ll fix that.

I'm not asking this maliciously, I just don't understand what your read on 2T is: No opinions on like, the feelings of parties, but what are the events taking place in the second tribunal?
No, thanks for taking the time to ask. It’s good to have a chance to explain where I’m coming from.
I do want a clarification, by second tribunal do you mean the posse meeting?

It is overly exaggerated and over simplified in every sense yes. I don’t mean to drag you into this any further either, I just hoped to have a chance to explain my view on it to everyone who took the time to write something under my post. I have an awful taste in comedy and I’m sorry to come off like an asshole.
Harry, bleeding
Kim: Detective could you maybe run faster we have a case to solve
Jean: Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. You are going to die. No I’m not overreacting, you are underreacting. What happened. Well whatever happened it was definitely your fault but Harry you have to stop doing that, stop bleeding. You need to see a doctor. I’ll carry you to the ER. What the fuck is wrong with you

Sorry if it’s disturbing, didn’t mean for it to come off as a serious post. I also have 0 serious post on this account, I’ll save everyone’s wrath early on. Here’s a semi-serious response on the thought behind this post:

Kim: Detective could you maybe run faster we have a case to solve

It’s a shit post that was intended to poke fun.
But let me make this clear, this is how I actually see the situation: a few facts: Kim is the one who patches him up after the tribunal. Kim is the one who asks him to rest. Kim cares from day 1 when esprit straight up tells you “this guy would die for you”, yeah of course he fucking cares.
The post was intended to poke fun on both sides: Kim being chill, with himself walking off his own concussion and saying to Harry who tells him everything hurts “let’s see if you can limp” and the other side Jean freaking out. Just for the record, it definitely wasn’t my intention to make it out as if jean was the only one who cared because as things are between people, you certainly don’t gotta scream at people to show you care. Most of the times it’s actually a hindrance to everyone and weighs down the situation even more if someone’s outwardly distressed/emotional and freaks out when there’s something serious going on. The emotional response from jean is neither necessary nor professional.
On the other side, Kim is a professional through and through. Jean isn’t when it comes to Harry. From jean, there is a lot of personal gripe from him under the thin veil of “is Harry fit for work”, the whole posse meeting goes on much longer after the assessment of “is he sane and has he solved the case”. It’s personal and on a lot of levels unprofessional, showing just how codependent his relationship is with Harry. An example being on day 1 Jean breaks RCM code of conduct and tells Jules to suppress a serious report that’s meant to immediately go to the captain so he can cover for Harry, that’s a serious offence and not something thats appropriate for him to do, it’s also not something Kim would do which is made clear from a esprit line later. Does this mean Kim doesn’t care? No. He does, but he holds Harry accountable and sees him as someone who has agency to act and think and speak how Harry sees fit. Between jean and Harry, it’s a very different and slanted dynamics than what Harry has with Kim.
That’s what the post was about. Hope this explains it.
