So I wanted to talk about the Lilo and Stitch trailer that’s been out for a bit.

The trailer looks oddly good overall, I’m cautiously optimistic about it. But there is something about that I’m worried about.

The previous movie had a lot of subtle mature parts. Most famously was how Agent Cobra Bubbles was an actual CPS agent that there was a real stake of Lilo being taken away. Form what little we see in the trailer it looks like they may be removing that and making he a standard alien hunting government agent as a replacement of Gantu, who also isn’t seen in the trailer.

Secondly I’ve seen people talk about the race swapping of the ice cream guy and how important that was as a reference to the tourisms and colonialism of Hawaii.

And finally and if they don’t do this it’ll be my biggest issue with the movie is they need to make Lilo a weird kid, Lilo was an actual weird kid in the original that gave her so much charm and they need to keep that aspect of the character.

Shout-out to when I was in middle school and Disney kept airing promos hyping up the Phineas and Ferb Hawaiian Vacation episodes and I was SO EXCITED because I was ABSOLUTELY DEAD CERTAIN it was gonna be a multi-part Lilo and Stitch crossover special

Brainstorming for the Stitch event in my fanfic and I think I just came up with something brilliant that I wanna challenge more artists to try.

So we know that Lilia and Floyd kinda parallel Lilo and Stitch and that's why Stitch gets along with them so well right? Y'know who also parallel's Lilo in the event via the outifts??

And most art I see portrays the MC/Yuu in matching Lilo outifts but y'know who'd make more sense for MC/Yuu to represent???

Oh yeah and who's the other two people that Stitch hangs around and gives a sweet fluffy hug? Grim and MC/Yuu. Just try to convince me that there isn't a better parallel between MC/Yuu and Nani I dare you to change my mind. The signs are all there.

SO! I'm challenging all Twst artists to draw their Yuusona in Nani inspired outfits, whether it's her swimsuit above or any of her other outfits from the movies/tv shows! The world needs more Nani love <3 Tag the artists that you want to try my challenge :)
