One of the sweetest and soft hearted men his partner will ever meet.

He will always make time for his partner to the best of his ability but if some does come up he would always make it up to him at a different time.

When it comes to dates whether he or his partner plans it or they plan it together he doesn't mind how it goes as long as it's clear who is handling it.

He is up for any kind of date whether it be a date that's about learning new things or just watching movies at home.

Surfing Lessons

Pairing: David Kawena x Fem reader

Description: David teaches you how to surf while at the beach having a day off

"Stand like this" you laugh standing on David's surf board on land, you had a day off from working at the local pet store so you were at the beach with your boyfriend David. You had moved to Hawaii eight months back to care for your aunt who had Multiple Sclerosis, you met david two weeks into you being in town while on a grocery trip for the house smiling at him as he helped you and also at the cute little girl that followed the two of you learning her name was Lilo and she was his friend Nani's little sister and that sometimes when nani would be working or trying to find a job if lilo wasn't at home or school by herself for a bit she would be with her teacher or david which warmed your heart that he not only helped a friend by taking on a big responsibility but also how humble he was and never minded carrying the six year old on his shoulders or hip if they weren't holding hands always stopping to say hi to the three whenever you saw any of them in town while out on errands for the day leading to the two of you to fall for each other and with the help from the sisters surprisingly and mostly from lilo. He had been wanting to teach you how to surf quite a bit so it could be another way for the two of you to spend time together other than walking on the beach, driving around town, watching lilo, or dancing always having a great time together, after a bit of land practice as you called it you were holding onto his waist as he paddles out as a wave begins to form making you a bit nervous carefully and quickly standing and holding onto him as the wave grows bigger and after two minutes of your eyes being closed you open them in awe as you pass through the wave cleanly and not being swept underwater surprising you immensely immediately after the two of you got back on land you grab a spare board he brought and slowly paddle back out as he watches from the beach not able to control the ear to ear smile on his face as he watches you stand and come back out the other end of the wave like the two of you did before cheering as you swim back to shore. After a few more hours of surfing the two of you went back to his house showering the sand and smell of the ocean away and eating dinner watching the sun set and walking back down to the beach watching the moon rise and reflect across the ocean before walking back to his place listening to music on the radio before you fell asleep after laying in bed leaving him smiling as he wraps his arms around you not knowing how he got lucky with not just meeting and knowing you but also that he got to have you in his life in such a special way that he knows that no one else could ever have in his life at all.
