2 mins later:
Kenyatta: âHope you donât get murdered.â
Me: âWhaaat??? Are you going to kill me? Is there a murderer in town??â
What a wild thing to say.
Reth: ââŚthereâs nothing wrong with easy. Lots of good things are easyâwalks on the beach, cheese sandwiches, me.â
Me: đ âÂżquĂŠ quĂŠ?â

the point was thoroughly lost the second the debate over calling trans people terms like bro and queen and dude became "is it gender neutral" and not "dont call people things they dont want to be called". like, frankly I dont give a shit if theyre gender neutral, what matters is that one of the core tennents of respecting trans people is simply not calling people things they dont want to be called. its not that hard.

Three experiences i had at my southern california university LGBT center:
-Faculty berating me, yelling into the queer space from outside it, about âwhat about the LGBT women who would immeidately see someone as big and tall and you and get scared and have flashbacks about men? Just because you wanna be a girl? What do you expect to be done about them??â And everyone in the queer space turning away and not helping me, and i had to end up saying âi donât know.â Which helped bring the UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEMBER to her senses and she stopped. But no one said shit about it, no one came up to me after, nobody helped or did anything.
-i was facing housing insecurity, and went to the wall of resources (bunch of different panphlets of paper describing different queer organizations and events and listings) and found information for housing. âAfab only.â In fact, basically about half of all the resources were listed as âafab only.â
-I commented idly about how there were not as many trans women in the queer space, and like zero older trans fems when there were plenty of trans mascs. And everyone gave somber, rejected looks and said shit like âno one knows why trans women end up leaving us,â implying trans women are routinely selfishly wanting to distance themselves from the queer community to pass better. And i was devastated thinking trans women just routinely leave fully welcoming queer spaces for no good reason.
Can you guess why some trans women and other TMA people are absolutely terrified of going into queer spaces after experiencing all this in ONE queer space?

Hassian is so fucking funny. Heâs trying so hard to maintain the illusion of this tough exterior with lines like, âApologies if my home is a bit Spartan for your taste; my mother and I both know a house is nothing more than shelter,â and âIs it cold outside? I hadn't noticed; Iâve trained myself so I no longer feel the cold,â and âExcuse me if I appear surly; I didn't get much sleep last night as I slept indoors.â đđ
But as you get to know him, his dialogue shifts to talking about the stars and he hits you with lines like, âYou know I never wanted much out of lifeâjust a purpose, a hearth to call my own, and⌠someone to share those things withâ or âIf I were a less disciplined man, I'd be happy to stay up all night stargazing with you.â And then you find out his hobby is writing poetry; he waxes poetic about peopleâs eyes in his free time, he keeps letters from his late momma under his pillow, heâs very passionate about invasive species, and he loves the peace of the valley and all its animals. Andâbecause gifting is a mechanic of the gameâyou find out he likes some of the finer things, like Akwinduu Chaapa (a fancy food for fancy Palians), silk, metal bars like gold and pallium, emeralds (his star stone), and pearls.
Plus, he plays cards every day with a local kiddo, wanting to be a brotherly-like role model for him.
Iâm like⌠yeah, yeah, yeah⌠so tough đ

I swear to God my campaign has been documented for a year, and I am living through famine like everyone else. Until when will there be injustice in sharing and support here?đ˘đđđ

*I am pregnant đ
*Hunger is extremely harsh during pregnancy
*Homeless, living in a tent
* 10 people living in a single tent â with nothing to eat
*My family is suffering from hunger
*My grandmotherâs body is frail from lack of food
*The markets are expensive
Life is very hard â no matter how many details I write, I cannot explain the suffering.
What can I do to receive support like everyone else?

White people do reblog without going "I'm white butâ" "As a white personâ". If you have a story about another Black or brown person's experience, then share it without drawing attention to your whiteness, or share what made you laugh in the tags and move on.
#Okay. so. couple stories#my friend has this coworker he says is OBSESSED with KPop#and my friend was worried this coworker would be abnormal about the new coworker who is Japanese-American#my friend was right. his first day and this woman asked him if he knew Korean. âNo. Iâm not even Korean.â#anywayâ he eventually asks her âYouâre Mexican right?â âYeah?â âOh. Cool. So do you know Brazilian?â#she. predictably. did not get it#but my friend called me and was like âIâm not worried for new guy anymore; he can hold his own.â#A girl in college assumed this same friend (Black) was failing all his classes to the point she went out of her way to askâŚ#âŚone of his professors for leniency on him. The prof was like: đ¤¨??? FYM; heâs my best student?#Also. his roommate freshman year kept calling being Black an âalternative lifestyleâ#he also called being gay âalternative loveâ#Oh! Another storyâ#same friend. whenever he and I go anywhere in & around the town he lives#people assume weâre employees there#IDK if itâs a race thing entirely b/c weâre different races#but it is 100% a race thing#when the lady says: âI didnât want to ask your coworker; Iâm not sure heâd be as kind.â (assumes Iâm kinder b/c heâs Black)#Like??? Maâamâ neither of us even work here

"i do not dream of labour" is one of the worst pseudo-marxist taglines that western leftists have co-opted because when you ask them what they do dream of, they say traveling, studying, and creating art. broski, who's flying the plane to take you to prague? who's the security at the library with the texts you're studying? who are the clerks in the museum showcasing your art? like bro, you do dream of labour. you just dream of someone else doing it so you don't have to! you merely want to outsource the labour and make it invisible.
#OP is a perfect example of why leftist movements never have political slogans#you can elucidate that the ultimately meaning of this catch phrase is exactly as gaytommykinard explained#when it is often used as an answer to âwhat is your dream job?â#which is ultimately a question aboutâŚ#what labor you wish to do in exchange for payment as if you are a good/material to be bought and sold#*and* what labor you wish to not own the fruits/value of? (those fruits go your owner and the land/property owning class)#to which: I do not dream of labor (and to which âso then what do you dream ofâ is clearly still about what exploitation youâre amenable to)#Now. does this mean I do not work or would not ever work or could not imagine working? does this mean I do not dream of a future?#NOâ EX: I come from a line of farmers. I loved this work#but it is impossible when you do not âownâ the land (renting) and you do not reap anything from the goods and services you create#agriculture is a livelihood which is unsustainable and impoverishing under capitalism#AND I dream that the hobbies Iâd like to enjoy werenât considered luxuries by the ruling class because I âshould be workingâ instead#because that is a dream (a wish) in a very literal sense#Also?! dreams are literally idealistic. you ask someone what they dream of andâobviouslyâtheyâre *not* gonna tell you:#âwellâI hope one day to barely make ends meet selling eggs and milk because all that money is going to my landlord andâŚ#âŚthe private equity firm which owns the farm I work.â OR#âMy dream is to exchange my labor pouring over case law for 80 hrs a week yet never be able to make enough to pay off my loansâ << get real#how tf do you think people will answer this question when the question itself isnât even asked in good faith?#because the question youâre really asking is: âso⌠what labor do you actually wish you were exploited for?â#NOT simply âso then what do you dream of?â
