I am just a woman who cares how America will never appreciate a woman in power and what she could offer.

I am just a woman scared to take up future career opportunities in fear of being rejected because society realizes I have valid and legitimate views and ideas, but they only focus on one particular detail they don’t enjoy because it’s popular to discriminate.

I am just a woman who sees the adults of America are just as childish as the newer generations because they find embarrassment in not fitting in with their own generations opinions.

I am just a woman who has only been to America a handful of times, is not a citizen, and is hardly affected by the actions of their president yet I am still so disappointed and sorry for the people of that country.

Another day, another weird conspiracy from the antisemite crowd.

This time it’s about the helicopter crash.

In one of my circles we have a few people who toe the line between outright antisemitism and anti-Zionism/anti-Israel. They’re millenials and Gen X professionals so they’re a bit more careful in their language.

However, some days they just say the idiotic stuff outright and you have to bap them with a proverbial newspaper. In this case, someone was blaming the USA’s sanctions against Iran that allowed Israel to somehow conduct an assassination. Another person thankfully pointed out that they flew their helicopter into a foggy ice storm that turned into a blizzard. There’s no helicopter in existence that could navigate that successfully. But if they want to blame the Jews for deadly weather and imply that they have magic weather powers, go on ahead.

But yeah, the USA and Israel totally coordinated their weather control lasers and freedom wizards to do it. /s

Seriously, watching these people grasp at straws to try and make this into something has been amusing and exasperating at the same time.

one of the best things about getting older is hitting the point where you look around and realize you arent legally bound to be nice to anyone. it doesnt matter if youve known someone all your life or if you met them last week, if you decide someone is too immature, unevolved, annoying or just plain uninteresting to you, you can simply tell them you dont want to talk anymore. you can just break it off and walk away. you dont have to stay in meaningless or frustrating friendships or relationships. you can decide you dont like someone and it doesnt have to be moral it can be any reason you could ever think of and you can simply say hey. i dont think were compatible and id like to go our own ways. and then you can clean your hands of it and never have to stress about it again. its fantastic.

Cannot imagine whatever is going on through Mr Leonard Echowatcher's head. You spend your life yearning for a world where you lived differently, where the day wasnt soaked in war, blood, and battle. Where you could envision a future where you have a partner and a family with friends to live gracefully with. But then you are given such opportunities only to find you were never taught to be gentle, you have a gentle, empathetic nature and yet the physicality of it is a stranger to you. You are expected to raise a child with gentle hands so that she saves the world, What does that even mean? How can you accept your growing love for your friend when you were never taught how to love, that intimate love is a luxury best left forgotten, there are no need for such things in war. He has to learn to become the things he wanted bc he grew too old to develop it naturally. He becomes a father to taimi fumbling his way into learning how to care and parent, he is defensive of Aurene bc he is from a culture where they arent expected to raise their own young and yet has to do so with a dragon. It feels like a test, He has to prove both to others and to himself he is capable of being a father, of nuturing, that calloused, stained hands can still be gentle. He has to accept that love is a terrifying leap of faith in vulnerability in order to gain a partnership that is considered a rarity. I love the idea that he spent 30 years yearning for things he thought he would never have and when he is actually given those opportunities (albeit admittedly through unusual circumstances) he has to learn how to actually live in them, becuase they were always just Concepts until now. I think one of the biggest things that's helping me feel more certain in my transition is the realization that I am extremely good at enduring. I've learned to endure pretty much anything. I can be in a situation that I hate and just switch off and ride it out until it's over. When I was a kid it was because there was nothing I could ever do about it. I hate long loud boring gatherings but I'd have to stay until my parents took me home many hours later. I hate traveling but I'd have to endure it for weeks. It's taught me a great deal of patience, I do it all the time now. I endure long journeys, events I didn't want to attend, trips I didn't want to take, people I don't want to hang out with... It's an important skill to have. but the thing is, I was subconsciously planning on doing that with my gender dysphoria for the rest of my entire life. I WAS doing that for years, not even trying to explore what that horrible feeling was. I'm the endurer! I endure! I switch off and ride it out until it's... over.

Maybe this isn't one of those things I have to put up with. Maybe it's time to stop enduring my life and start enjoying it.

everyone's insights and takes on house of the dragon season 2 finale are intriguing, off-putting, and humorous. there are parts of the finale I did not like and there are scenes I loved. for a majority of the episode though it was in distaste due to the script writing connections back to game of thrones trying to link the prequel to it over and over as well as the whole vision scene and those character's now knowing their fates in the dance. I am a Rhaenyra supporter. even though most of us know her fate, I am hoping she can have time for happiness in the position she is in, no matter how little. this show is still something I'm going to want to watch since I want to know how the writers will portray the rest of the story and the cast does such an amazing job acting as these characters. here's to waiting not too too long to season 3 (⁠｡⁠•́⁠︿⁠•̀⁠｡⁠)
