Though I will walk away victorious, whereas you…won’t walk away from it at all, I fear. And you’re not even close to where my focus lies.’ ‘What the fuck is that even supposed to mean?’ the man spat at him in return, his visible frustration still mixed with audible despair, unable to hide the shaking of his voice. ‘It means I am going to kill you,’ Cassidy bluntly answered, and he slightly tilted his head when the man tried to look away from him. ‘And your death won’t even mean a thing.’

'I never meant for things to turn out like they did,' Nick mumbled, burying his face in Vitali's chest. 'Never meant for any of it to go wrong.' 'I know,' Vitali merely said back, eyes absently fixed on the wall as he ran his fingers through Nick's hair. 'I'm sorry.' 'I know.' 'I love you.' 'I know.' They both paused— Vitali hesitant, Nick optimistically expectant; but the reciprocation remained unspoken, emotions and feelings stuck in the back of Vitali's throat and the three words lingering between them like the smoke of his cigarette. He wasn't sure if he would even mean it anyway.

finally finished this piece of my three new d&d characters!! click for better quality as always :] shivani "juniper" nightingale is a faun from the feywild and a great old one warlock of vashna, a hag from primordial times. she travels the material plane with an insatiable hunger for knowledge, as she seeks to understand how the feywild as mirror plane works and how it came to exist in the first place artem "hindsight" kaithos is a tiefling hailing from the frozen shore and a gunslinger fighter. carrying the gun of his deceased father, he has left his home for good to try and find his place in a world he believes he does not belong in erytheia zephyrine is an air genasi from ridgewater and a grave domain cleric of the tidemother. having left home at a young age to travel the world and broaden her horizons, she meets the rest of the party at a tournament in kuya springs, kharfaldir kingdom, where they team up to figure out who's behind the distribution of a magic-infused drug that turns creatures into a bloodthirsty, feral version of their former selves

‘I’ll fuck you up,’ Cato spat before she could stop herself, her voice hoarse as it left her lips— words scraping past raw throat and it caused her to cough, the raspy noise echoing through the room. ‘I don’t doubt that for a second.’ A pause, as Vitali Dobrynin reached into his pocket and took out a key, then reached for Cato’s wrist and— respectfully keeping his hands to himself— freed her from her restraints. ‘Cato Wu,’ he said, grabbing a chair from the side of the room and setting it down next to the surgery bed while Cato slowly sat up a second time, carefully now, allowing the dizziness to settle before she moved any further. ‘How’d you know my name?’ ‘I have my ways.’ ‘Right— fixer.’ ‘Do I sense contempt?’ Cato sucked in her cheeks and raised her hand, mockingly putting her thumb and the tip of her index finger a mere millimeter apart. ‘Thiiis much. Pinky promise.’
