I started about a month late, as I almost always do with my fandoms. I get into them late. I wasn't as late as others, just showed up around when Wilbur finally returned. But man, am I glad I showed up.

I am so relieved coming from dsmp. The fandom here is so much nicer and I don't feel like I am walking much on eggshells. I don't post much of my own stuff, the biggest I've really done is set up roleplay servers and posted one actual fic + bits of writing after having my own autism moments.

All of the fanart is so unique and diverse, I've fallen for so many different interpretations of the characters, new and old. I've learned so much about cc's from outside the English-speaking community and it's fun to occasionally vibe on a TazerCraft stream (usually with the help of a certain live blogger on here, haha). Hell, even some of the English-speaking streamers that I normally would just watch from a distance or not even know about have taken my heart.

All because of this server. I've definitely had my lows with this, and I am sure more will come, but this has been so amazing to be in.

I've made more friends who care so much and it's hard to believe that if it wasn't for this fandom, I wouldn't know them. I probably would've just been in fandom limbo, waiting for something strong enough to pick me up. But I have so many people who care about me and each other all because of this fandom.

I know I don't post much, it's mainly because it feels like long pieces of writing don't get as much love as things like art on here, but it's amazing to see when people post their own pieces of writing, whether it's a mini-fic or just their thoughts.

I love you all, I love this fandom, I love being so confused about what is going on and then checking the qsmp tag only to see fucking pregnant Foolish.

I'm excited for the new members, I'm excited for the new members of the fandom that will come with them.

The more I think about it, the more I question Arcane S2's politics and themes, which were so foundational to S1. Like, a tiny example [SPOILERS AHEAD]:

Singed wins. He gets exactly what he wants in the end. All his "efforts" are rewarded. What does that say about people who share his ideology of eugenics? He is the source of nearly every horrible thing and conflict that happened (Shimmer, the factory deaths, Jinx, Vander as Warwick, the corruption of Viktor), and he gets a happier ending than any other character. Not even a 'he got what he wanted but he has become completely unrecognizable/monstrous to his daughter' tag at the end. You can say they're setting him up and need to open his daughter to future shows, but the way you end a character's story says something about what you think about that character. What does it say when the eugenicist war criminal gets the happy ending he doesn't deserve?
