Okay I’ve been working on a drawing of Locomotion on and off for the past two days, and I just had a thought. We all draw Locomotion as this creepy scary conductor, but in the play, when Sam first enters the realm, he points out that the environment looks like his toy train.

This, and paired with the fact that Locomotion gets creepier and creepier throughout the longform, I’m thinking that maybe this is an Other Mother from Coraline situation. Where when you first enter, it’s very cute and inviting, but the longer you stay, the more scary Locomotion’s appearance becomes, and the more run down and creepy the environment gets. After all, when they’ve already forgotten their name and their former life, why keep up appearances?

Needless to say, I have some ideas

I’m hoping to finish up that Locomotion drawing soon, and maybe, I’ll try and draw the different stages of transformation that Locomotion undergoes or something. Might be fun
