You sat on the edge of the bathtub, waiting for what felt like a lifetime. You'd been feeling nauseous for the past two weeks. Max knew there was something wrong, but he hadn't been feeling too well either after you both visited a new seafood restaurant in the city. It made sense— you both getting ill. You shrugged it off as food poisoning, and it made sense at first. Max began to feel better within days, but you still weren't yourself. You were throwing up every morning, sometimes as early as three a.m. This morning was the worst.
"Oh honey," Max cooed, rubbing his eyes and following you into the en-suite bathroom where he kneeled by your side and held you as you threw up your dinner from the night before. "It's been weeks, maybe I should call the doctor?"
"N-no," you shook your head, wiping the tears that pricked your eyes and flushed the toilet. Max handed you a paper towel to wipe your mouth with, and dampened a washcloth to rest over your forehead. "I'll be fine." you reassured him, nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck as he helped you to your feet and guided you back into bed. He shut out the bathroom light and crawled in next to you, falling asleep within a matter of minutes. You, however, couldn't sleep. You stared at the ceiling for what felt like forever— pondering.
It wasn't until the morning light crept through the curtains and illuminated Max just enough for you to turn over and admire him. His snores were light and shallow and you watched as his chest rose and fell. It was the one time you could see him at peace, before the day consumed him with stress and work. As you took in his features, the curve of his nose and his disheveled dark blonde hair, a thought struck you.
It came out of nowhere. It was something you hadn't even considered. Could you be… pregnant? It would explain the nausea. Your hands cradled your stomach as you furrowed your eyebrows together, trying to work it out in your head. There was no way— you and Max always made sure to stay protected. You don't remember a time where you had forgotten to take your pill… but that's when it hit you. The night of New Years Eve. You had left Alistair with a sitter and it was yours and Max's first night alone together in months. So, you had both got very drunk very fast. The night was a blur, and so was the next morning, but you remembered the sex very clearly— with Maxwell, it was always memorable. Your intoxicated state meant there was no way of knowing for sure whether or not you had taken the pill. There was always going to be a chance that you had forgotten.
You couldn't get back to sleep that morning, the thoughts racing through your head. By 6 a.m., you quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake your husband, and padded into your closet, finding a comfortable outfit to change into. You slipped into a pair of ballet pumps and grabbed your purse, throwing it over your shoulder. You walked to the pharmacy that wasn't too far from your home and purchased a pregnancy test. By the time you had come back, Maxwell and Alistair were already awake eating breakfast.
"Where did you go this morning?" Maxwell asked, sounding concerned. You sighed, slipping into the unoccupied seat next to Alistair and poured him a glass of orange juice.
"The pharmacy," you admitted, pointing to the paper bag on the counter. "I needed some fresh air. I got you some more vitamins." you told Max. A little white lie would do no harm until you had figured out what exactly was going on with your body. Maxwell nodded as he handed you the bowl of fruit he'd prepared while you were gone.
You began nudging at the melon medley. It was normally your favourite, and Max knew this, but you had completely lost your appetite. The smell of breakfast and Max's black coffee was knocking you sick again, and you couldn't even touch your food before you had to run to the bathroom to throw up.
"Is mommy okay?" Alistair whispered sadly, looking at Max.
Even Maxwell was concerned. He wasn't sure if you were okay, but he wasn't going to let his son worry about you. "She'll be fine." Maxwell reassured Alistair, ruffling his soft black hair affectionately.
You waited about an hour before you took the test, the anticipation killing you. Maxwell and Alistair were in the other room watching The Little Mermaid and playing with Lego. And here you were, sitting on the edge of the bathtub, waiting to see your result. You had taken Max's golden Cartier wristwatch into the bathroom with you, shakily setting the timer for three minutes. It beeped accordingly and you took a deep breath, slowly stalking towards the pregnancy test that was sat in the kitchen sink. Two lines. Positive.
You were pregnant. You and Max were going to be parents again. You felt tears well up in your eyes as you cradled your stomach, feeling nothing but love for the child you were bearing. You didn't know how you'd feel, but now you were filled with joy and happiness. Of course, the pregnancy wasn't planned, but you knew that no matter what, you'd love this child unconditionally.
Now you just had to tell Maxwell. You fumbled with your thumbs nervously, pacing around in circles. You found yourself checking the test multiple times, making sure it was still definitely positive. Every time you saw the two lines your heart swelled with love and excitement. You couldn't wait to tell Max. There was no way of judging his reaction, but he was your husband and you just couldn't keep it to yourself any longer. You slipped the test in the pocket of your oversized hoodie and walked into the living room.
You smiled when you saw Alistair and Maxwell sitting on the floor, playing together. "Mommy!" Alistair cried excitedly, waving you over. Despite you being Alistair's stepmother, it always warmed you when he called you mommy. Maxwell would always say how you were an amazing parent to Alistair, better than his own blood related mother, and your loving actions made Max into a better father. You were the one who had encouraged Maxwell to spend less time working and more time playing with his son— and now, Max wouldn't have it any other way.
"Hey baby," you smiled. "What are you making?"
Alistair lifted up a multi-coloured and unfinished Lego house. "It's our house!" he exclaimed excitedly. You could barely see the resemblance, but still humoured the six year olds enthusiasm. "Daddy helped but I did most of it."
Maxwell was smiling to himself and you curled your finger, gesturing for Max to stand up and come over to you. He did so, willingly. "Everything okay?" Maxwell asked as you briefly pulled him to the corner of the living room.
"What were you smiling at?" you cooed, flattening the palms of your hands against his chest and smoothing down his shirt.
"I'm just so proud of him," Maxwell revealed with a blush, looking back at his son who was bopping along to 'Under The Sea' from The Little Mermaid. By the looks of it, he was pretending to be Sebastian, waddling around the living room pretending his fingers were crab claws.
"He's proud of you too," you whispered, wrapping your arms around Maxwell's waist and pulling yourself into a hug.
"There's something going on with you," Maxwell sensed, pressing a gentle kiss into your hair.
"You're right," you hummed, pulling away from him but not tearing your gaze away from his chocolate brown eyes. You dug your hand into your pocket and pulled out the pregnancy test, placing it in his hand. "I'm pregnant." you said with shaky exhale.
Maxwell didn't say anything at first. He looked down at the test, his eyebrows furrowed together like it was some kind of complex puzzle he was trying to work out. Then, he looked back at you, the same bewildered look written all over his face. And finally, he looked back down at the test. You wanted to burst into a fit of laughter at his expression. He put the test in his pants pocket and pulled you into a cuddle. "For real?" he whispered in disbelief, happy tears glazing his eyes.
"For real." you confirmed, nuzzling your head into his chest as he swayed his hips against yours.
"But- but when? And how?" Maxwell asked you.
"I'm not sure," you admitted with a sigh. "Maybe New Years Eve?"
Max's smile grew into a grin. "I'm so excited darling," he exclaimed, curling his finger around your chin and pulling you into a kiss. "I know it's not something we've really talked about, but when I see you with Alistair… and I see how amazing of a mother you are… it's hard not to imagine you carrying my child. I knew from the very start I wanted a family with you."
"I was worried," you huffed against your husband's lips. "I was afraid you'd freak out."
"Maybe once upon a time I'd freak out, sure," Maxwell chuckled. "But you showed me what it takes to be a good father. I'm not afraid anymore."
"I love you so much." you smiled, crinkles appearing in the corner of your eyes.
"I love you too honey."
You and Max decided to wait a little while to tell anyone about the pregnancy. You had been to two doctor's appointments, both confirming that you were, indeed, with-child. You even got your first scan, admiring your little peanut shaped baby like it was the cutest thing you had ever seen.
"When are we going to tell Alistair?" you asked during the car ride home from the hospital. Maxwell was tapping his feet impatiently. It had been five months, you had started showing, and you and Max had just found out the gender of your baby.
"I say we tell him as soon as we get home," Max smirked, taking your hand in his.
"It's finally starting to feel real," you sigh with contentment.
"I'm so excited." Max revealed, pressing a kiss into your jaw.
You paid the sitter and grinned as you watched Alistair run into his father's arms. "Mommy! Daddy!" Alistair cried. "I missed you!"
"We missed you too baby," Maxwell grinned, picking his son up in his arms and carrying him into the kitchen. You followed the boys and Max set Alistair down on the counter. "Alistair, we have something important to tell you." Maxwell whispered, taking his son's small hands in his own.
"What is it?" Alistair questioned curiously.
"It's very exciting." Maxwell grinned, nodding knowingly.
"Disneyland?" Alistair gasped and you scrunched up your nose.
"No sweetie, not Disneyland." you giggle and watch as Alistair frowns. "No don't be upset!" you fish into your purse and bring out the sonogram, showing Alistair. "Do you know what this is?" Alistair shook his head, clearly confused. "It's a baby," you explained with a small smile. Maxwell pointed out the peanut shaped fetus and it only made Alistair look even more perplexed. "It's mommy and daddy's baby."
Alistair's eyes shot up and flicked between you and Max, his jaw dropping slightly. "Huh?" he asked and Max smirked.
"You're going to be a big brother Alistair," Maxwell grinned, pressing a kiss into Alistair's hair. "Isn't that exciting?"
"...Me? A big- a big brother?" Alistair bubbled.
"Yes Alistair, you," you giggled, pinching his chubby cheek. "You're going to have a little sister."
"A sister!?" Alistair gasped excitedly, kicking his legs against the kitchen counter. "I'm going to love her so much!" he squealed, his expressions almost animated as he put his hands over his mouth in surprise.
"She already loves you so much too Alistair!" you cooed, wrapping your arms around your son and pulling him into a tight hug.
"We're going to be best friends," Alistair announced proudly. "I'm going to build her a house- no, a palace out of Lego!"
"Oh Alistair, that's lovely," you giggle, helping him down from the kitchen counter.
"I love you baby sister!" he shouted as he waddled back into the living room. You could already hear the clashing sound as he got out the Lego.
You turned to Maxwell with a sheepish smile, your eyes widening slightly when you saw his appearance. His cheeks were rosy and his brown eyes were shiny with unshed tears. "What is it Maxie?" you ask quietly, resting your hand against his cheek.
"I spent so long not knowing what exactly I wanted in life," Maxwell revealed. "But this is it. This is what I was made for. This is what I want. Me, you, Alistair, and our little princess. Darling, I've never been happier."

Hanta finally managed to force open the door to the log cabin that had long been awaiting your arrival, the wooden structure welcoming the approaching warmth and laughter of the newly wedded couple. The ravenette smirked joyously and let out a triumphant 'hoorah', your laughter only adding to the display of ego on his face.
"And you said I'd drop you," Hanta mocked your earlier words, looking down at you with that very same smirk. If not for your arms wrapped around his neck and entire weight held in his arms, you most likely would have pushed his face away by the cheek. To avoid that shit-eating, joking smirk that rarely left his dumb and lovable face. The face you fell for so undoubtedly swift and heavy.
"I didn't say you would I said you may drop me," Was your response. "It's not every day we walk through so much snow!"
"Hush now, that was nothing to me," Hanta lifted the arm that supported your back, planting his lips on your forehead in a sweet welcoming kiss. Your lips curled in approval, accepting the gesture as Hanta used his foot to close the door behind you both, driving away the cold breeze from outside as warmth replaced it. "Now would you look at this place!"
Heeding Hanta's words, your eyes averted from his addicting gaze to the bonnie log cabin interior set out before you two. From left to right the cabin maintained an earthy theme, consistent in wooden textures excluding that of the supple beige sofas in the centre of the room. They were accompanied with ripening red cushions, as well as a few other pieces of furniture containing the same colour to maintain an advertising aesthetic no doubt. Lengthy beams stretched from one end of the walls to the other, set out in rows. The deepest wall (opposite to the entrance) was made mostly out of glass and onlooking a gorgeous snowy forest scene, small golden lights lit up outside to only add to the aura already presented. Built-up by red bricks and extending up toward the ceiling was a great open fireplace, already sparked alight and sensing a contrasting warmth to the bitter cold outdoors. In the corner of the room were a set of stairs most likely directing themselves off to the bedroom, though you and Hanta were so taken by the bottom floor's interior neither of you even processed there were more rooms to see.
"Wow... this place is gorgeous!" You said through a whisper, face lighting up at the sight. Never had you thought a place could be so beautifully arranged and so beautiful in general, and the two of you had this place to yourselves for an entire two weeks... it made you feel like the luckiest person alive! That you were really, as you'd just tied the knot the love of your life and were starting an entirely new journey with him. From the very moment you'd both uttered 'I do' in front of all your friends and family - the paths you lead became one that you would waltz down together.
"So you like it then?" Hanta asked, ebony eyes trailing away from the open fire and down to your own E/C irises. His smirk slowly transitioned to an endearing grin upon seeing your face of wonder, heart skipping a beat as your gaze met his and your expression mirrored.
"Of course! It's just how I imagined it - even more stunning than the pictures online," Your hand grazed Hanta's gloved one, though the barricade of wool and cotton did nothing to prevent the love and desire sent through the tips of your fingers. The ravenette admired your beauty in that lingering stare shared between you, exhaling a content sigh. You never failed to astound him with your beauty, the way your eyes glowed whenever you looked at him. How your hair fell perfectly into place no matter the circumstance (even on your worst of hair days you somehow managed to make it work). Not to mention your smile and laugh - those specific factors alone making Hanta fall for you over and over and exceeding limits of love and admiration he didn't even think he possessed.
Just before Hanta was to fall into daydream you shook him out his thoughts, the shifting of weight in his arms struck him to shake out of it, realising that you were attempting to shuffle out his arms in order to stand. So he let you down, grip loosening and reluctantly allowing you to step away.
"I'm glad," He quickly uttered, his hand lifting to his head to remove the woolly hat resting there. Then he proceeded to unbutton his winter coat as did you, the pair of you making light work of it due to the excitement of exploring your temporary home.
"So our suitcases are already here?" You asked Hanta, straightening out your knitted turtleneck jumper which was a soft pink shade. Usually something you wouldn't wear, but it was well-suited for the weather and didn't irritate your skin. So you took advantage of the purchase. From your left Hanta hummed softly, turning towards you once he was done hanging his coat on the rack. He too had a turtleneck on, but his donned a collect of abstract patterns and stuck to more neutral colours than yours.
"Yep, they should be upstairs," Hanta replied, running a hand through his hair as he looked over at you. He shifted over to your side, hugging you from behind with a mischievous chuckle. "But we can unpack tomorrow,"
"I like the idea of that, I just wanna snuggle," You responded with a giggle, leaning back into your husband's hold. After a few seconds Hanta stepped forwards, forcing your feet to follow suit. The ravenette guided you both to the nearest sofa, where he messily fell back against the ruby red cushions and you alongside him.
"That's because you procrastinate more than you've ever been willing to admit," Hanta turned you over so you sat atop his middle, hands settled on your hips like they were structured to hold them. There was a smirk on his face as you rolled your eyes at his last comment.
"I procrastinate because you distract me," You corrected, poking his chest with a prominent finger.
"Ah well, what can I say? I'm just that pretty aren't I?" He replied, laughing joyously. You couldn't help but echo with your own form of a chuckle, shaking your head as the smile on your face sent Hanta all kinds of elated emotions through his veins.
"You're not wrong there, Tiger," You grinned ear to ear, staring lovingly in his direction. Words weren't enough to express how much you loved him, your mind struggling to form sentences most of the time with just how much he took your breath away. In truth, you would have allowed yourself to remain gazing into Hanta's eyes the entire night. But you were due to catch sight of an envelope on the coffee table next to you both, drawing your attention away from him as fast as it came. The item too out of the ordinary to ignore. Peculiarly you leaned over to grab it, tilting your head at the item.
"What's that?"
"I don't know," Was your answer. Your fingers proceeded to slit open the top, discovering a smaller, folded piece of paper inside. Curiously you opened it up, voice filling the room as you discovered golden ink was printed on one side and intended to read it out.
" Dear Mr and Mrs Sero,
We are beyond pleased that you chose to stay with us for your honeymoon. Have a wonderful and splendid time at the start of your journey together and we wish you nothing but happiness and joy during your stay.
Kindest regards,
[resort/name] "
"Mr and Mrs Sero," Hanta repeated with a thoughtful stare to the wooden beams above. "I'm still not used to hearing that and we've already been married a week," A smile formed on his lips, releasing a chuckle from the depths of his chest. Almost like he couldn't believe the words he had just uttered. Tilting your head, you pondered on what he meant.
"How do you mean?" You didn't receive an answer straight away, the man you called your husband gently sighed, almost with the case of the lovesick. Somewhere during the exhale Hanta's eyes fell from the beamed ceiling and onto you, gratitude threaded in his expression as he stared at you.
"I just don't know how I got so lucky to marry someone like you," His hand extended to cup your cheek, cradling the slightly chilled part of your face (thanks to the cold air and wind from outside) as his thumb stroked the surface of your skin. Your eyes widened, all too used to the gesture but rarely ever prepared for it whenever Hanta committed to it. You smiled, nuzzling into his warm hold as your eyes closed.
"Me too," You hummed, sighing out yourself as your heart fluttered higher and higher with each passing second. A short silence ensued, ending as you abruptly let out a little laugh. It caught Hanta's attention, his head cosying into the cushion behind him as his brows raised.
"What?"
"Oh, nothing. I was just thinking about the night you proposed. That's all," Another laugh escaped, humour striking you as you recalled how it had played out. From the manner your lover rolled his eyes, he clearly still hadn't emotionally recovered from it.
"That stupid fire pit," He groaned, eyes closing in annoyance. "I can't believe I let it ruin the moment,"
"I don't think that was the fire's intention, Hants,"
Despite being blatantly confident and bold, when it came to more... intimacy-related things, Hanta Sero's expertise dwindled dangerously. It had taken him months of knowing you to actually ask you out on a date, and when you finally got together? Well, it took him four years before he began to think about popping the question - three months more to actually pop it. Whilst you did say yes once he got down on one knee on the balcony of your holiday home for your fourth anniversary together, the events that proceeded after were what truly traumatised the poor ravenette.
Your holiday was spent somewhere in the Caribbean at a beachside residence that locals rented out for tourists. You and Hanta had always been big on travelling, hence your honeymoon location being such an unconventional place. Or as far as you knew, you didn't have an exact number on how many honeymoons were spent in remote mountain ranges surrounded by blustering winds and snow. It was a nice change of pace to the intense heats nearer the Equator.
During that vacation in particular though, that was the year Hanta finally decided to propose. After a long day on the beach, swimming in the ocean and feeling the sand between your toes as evening approached, you watched the sunset on the balcony of the second floor, neighbouring your bedroom. To set the mood the firepit in the centre had been lit, creating a stunning orange glow in Hanta's eyes as he held you close to his chest.
You noticed he was quite fidgety in his seat, wondering what was wrong with your lover as he gripped his knee tight. Like he was uncomfortable or nervous. Like he needed to get something off of his chest. It was only when you pointed out your concern and his odd behaviour that Hanta managed to shift his stance. Moving from his stiff position to wobbling on one knee, then came the heartfelt speech that gave you a sense of where he was going. A subtle reach into his pocket and before you knew it, you were shouting yes into the night sky and your eyes foggy with tears of complete and utter joy.
Hanta placed the ring on your finger, the realisation hitting him at that moment that you and he were engaged. His excitement got the better of him, the male sweeping you in his arms and swinging you around as he babbled sweet nothings into your ear. The speed wavered his balance, his leg knocking into the table holding a bottle of wine he had ordered specifically for the occasion. Much to both of your bad luck, it all collapsed against the firepit and tipped it over - and one can only imagine what happened next. A rather chaotic ruckus erupted between you as Hanta grabbed you by the waist and flung you both out of the building via the balcony to ensure your safety. Then he 'thwipped' straight back up to the fire and frantically searched for the fire extinguisher to put it out, all whilst you sat on the sandy ground outside, frozen to how drastically the mood had changed.
Luckily the fire didn't spread too far. If not for Hanta's efficiency in dealing with it upfront, it could have spread to the bedroom and the rest of the house. It did not, however, the most damage being the balcony sofas that were scorched no thanks to their wooden frame and white cushioning.
Despite having just been engaged, there wasn't much you and Hanta could do to celebrate. So the night ended with you and he falling to slumber in the early hours of the morning, too exhausted after dealing with the owners' wrath after the slight mishap of nearly setting their building ablaze.
"At least you didn't burn the entire house down," You tried after a few seconds of quiet, earning a scoff on Hanta's part as he ran a hand through his hair.
"It felt like it when I called the owner's to tell them what happened," Hanta answered, softly frowning at the shrieking yells he heard during that call ringing their way through his mind again. Long after he'd shut them out based on the humiliation of being on the receiving end. You giggled, recalling how you were able to hear them despite the phone not being on speaker.
"I'm surprised they let us stay for the rest of the week,"
"That's because I paid the money for the damage caused within six hours of them demanding it," Hanta reminded you, dragging his hands down his face as he groaned out. Probably expelling his inner cringe at his foolishness that night. "Times like that make me relieved I'm a top ten pro, helps out with emergencies a great fucking deal,"
"Are you sure that didn't play any part in their generosity? That you're a top ten pro?"
"No way," He said and sat up to meet your height, hands looping to cradle the small of your back. He held back continuing to briefly peck you on the lips. "The bill they gave me was the complete opposite of generous,"
"How much was it again?" You asked, memory not serving you the answer. The ebony-haired male leaned forwards to kiss you again before he moved his lips up to your ear. His voice became a whisper, telling the sum in Yen which made your eyes widen in astonishment.
"Wow," Was your instinctive reply, Hanta scoffing a laugh in agreement based on your tone of surprise. It was there he nuzzled into your neck, inhaling through his nose to catch a whiff of your scent. The aroma acting as a sedative to wipe the memory from his mind permanently. All he wished to remember of that night was the way your face lit up as he asked you to take his hand in marriage. How your tears formed and how your lips uttered the words he had oh, so desperately wanted to hear after months and months of worry of being rejected.
And look at you both now; husband and wife and on your honeymoon. Holding each other as close as close can be with no doubt or hesitancy in your minds at all. Why he had worried so much was something he would never be able to figure out. As looking back, all of it felt like the easiest thing he had ever had to do.
Due to that, Hanta smiled into your neck. The change could have been missed, but you were far too attentive to not notice. The feeling of his cheeks shaping his smile made you smile as well, your arms wrapping around Hanta's neck in a desperate need to pull him closer. Your fingers ghosted the back of his neck, tickling the hairs that attached with care like no other. You rested your chin on his head, eyes closed gently in comfort. In response, Hanta hummed lowly, hands starting to rub up and down your back like he was giving you a massage.
Silence passed, the two of you simply enjoying the other's company and the intimate moment you had welded together. The proximity created a warmth that could fight any cold, the fireplace behind you both unneeded to fight the swirling snow outside. Your eyes peaked open as the faint crackle of the fire nearby caught your attention. You watched the flames dance for a second or so before you plucked up the confidence to speak.
"Just... let's not set fire to this place. Alright?" You mused, holding your breath as you waited for Hanta's response. Luckily he didn't dismiss it, actually finding the comment quite funny. He voiced a blurt of a laugh, head shaking as much as he could make it whilst it buried into the depths of your neck. Hanta's mouth opened to make his reply, quickly hushing up again to return to the peaceful silence of before, not at all ready to let it go just yet.
"Agreed,"

Always meant to be - Sourin
Guess who’s had sever writers block but also started watching Free! again. This is just something to try and break down the wall so, enjoy!
Ghost/Soulmate AU
Rin knew he was never really alone. He always had Haru and Mako. Rei and Nagisa. His mother and Gou.
But sometimes, led awake in the dead of night, staring at his ceiling and praying for sleep to just take him he would feel oddly alert, almost aware of some kind of presence, always lingering just a little out of reach and out of sight.
He chalked it up to stress, eventually growing used to the oddly comforting presence that would follow him wherever he went. Maybe it was his dad? Or maybe it was nothing, just a tired mind with too much creativity and little restraint.
So when he took a break from his post practice run, sitting on a bench and pushing his hair back, he nearly fell backwards off the bench when a figure appeared in front of him, eyebrows drawn down in confusion before he heard a sharp laugh. Rin stared, hands fumbling still to get ahold of the metal bench. He wanted to clutch his heart, to yell at the stranger who clearly had no idea what personal space was. But most importantly...
“The hell are you laughing for?” Was what left his mouth, a bite to his tone that usually caused others to shrink back. The tall stranger in front of him just shrugged, head tilting to the side in an almost playful way.
“At you. Slipping of a bench, spilling water down your leg. All manner of things really.” The other replied, voice weirdly soothing to Rin. But this wasn’t the time to be admiring the guy, no matter how broad and handsome he was.
“Right. And can I ask what on earth you want from me?” Rin asked, calmer this time as he stood from the bench, glad when the stranger took a step back, eyes wide. Rin rose an eyebrow, watching the confident and cocky man before him turn shy and almost embarrassed?
“I... Um. I think you dropped this? Maybe?” Rin looked to the strangers hands and back up, gently taking a bright pink hair clip with a small bunny head on the side.
“You think I dropped this?” Rin asked, lips quirking up no matter how hard he willed them not to before he laughed, pocketing the hair clip before shaking his head, exchanging a few more words before turning away to head home.
When he heard footsteps behind him he wondered if the guy was going the same way, wondered how awkward it would be if they had to travel together for the next ten or so minutes after Rin just finished saying his goodbyes.
Five more minutes passed, continuous footsteps echoing just behind him and Rin was starting to wonder if this was the day that he died. He felt his heart start to race in his ears, trying to remember exactly how fast he was walking, glancing for any quick turns or routes to lead him to safety.
After a while, fed up of both the nerves and being followed, he spun on his heel, startling the other into a small stumble and Rin waited for the collision.
It never came.
Instead, Rin was yet again faced with the gray gravel beneath his feet, the darkening hues of the sky. Until he turned around.
The stranger was stood perfectly behind him, shoulders hunched forwards in an almost defensive, afraid manner and Rin was honestly starting to wonder if he was sleeping.
Did that man just phase through him? It would make sense with how fast he appeared earlier, but ghosts? Weren’t you only meant to be haunted by those you knew? Oh come on Rin, like you believe in Ghosts.
Apart from at the moment, Rin was honestly considering it. He cleared his throat, tapping the strangers back, refusing to notice how much his own hand was shaking.
No words were exchanged as Rin’s hand met thin air, all but confirming what he never thought to be true. He withdrew his hand as if he had been burnt, stumbling slightly before clutching his heart.
The boy turned around then, eyes wide and skin pale. Neither spoke as they just stared at the other, the air between them eerily calm.
“Y-You... You’re a ghost?!” Rin asked, voice a hushed but frantic whisper. The other sighed, posture drooping in defeat.
“Yeah. Not really what you’d expect, huh?” His voice sounded resigned, shoulders lifting in a gentle shrug as Rin finally managed to steady his breathing before stepping closer, finding that in the wake of the initial shock, all he felt was a calm sensation.
Something familiar and intimate.
“Wait. Are you the one who I’ve been... feeling since I was younger?” He asked softly, not wanting to hurt this boy anymore than he clearly had been. The other just smiled.
“Sousuke.” The other introduced. Sousuke.
“Rin. Though you... probably already know that.” He mumbled, hand stretching out to try to grasp Sousuke’s before he remembered, instead reaching to rub at his hair. They moved to a different bench, silent for a while before Sousuke spoke up.
“When I was twelve, I was walking home from a trip with some friends. The train warnings were faulty that day, though I had no idea. I blindly ran across the tracks, barely registering the horn of a train before everything went black. When I woke up I was terrified, looking everywhere for my mum or dad, even more scared when all I saw was an unfamiliar home. That was about eight years ago now. Since then I’ve found I can’t stray too far from you, nor was I ever able to make any contact. So, my apologies for just kind of, following you around.” He finished a little sheepishly, looking away again as Rin took it all in.
This boy had died as a kid? And instead of being with his family he was with a stranger? He really hoped he’d wake up from this dream soon.
“I’m.. Really sorry to hear that but... why me?” Rin asked, finally turning to look at Sousuke. The other was staring up at the sky, brokenly sad smile dimming his features.
“I heard this weird thing when I was younger. That my family are... Blessed and cursed at the same time. We have a connection to somebody and we’ll feel it either once we’re born or they are, depending on the situation. We’ll either live our lives and be drawn closer and closer to that person, until we become a part of each others lives, but for some of us, if we die before we have that first meeting, we’ll spend the rest of their lives watching over them. I always thought it was a myth, something my grand parents said to entertain me. But, the eight years I’ve spent intertwined quietly in your life, I think they may have been telling the truth.”
Rin couldn’t hold back the tears now. What was previously a gentle push on his chest was now a wave, crashing down on him and forcing any emotion out. Sousuke turned to him in shock at his first outburst, eyes quickly softening as he moved closer to Rin, centimetres apart and yet miles away.
Rin didn’t even bother to hide his face from the other, instead just let his head hang low. Sousuke was meant to be his soulmate? Somebody who was meant to come into his life no matter what and bring him happiness and love? And Rin was meant to be a person Sousuke was to search for? He’d heard stories of soulmates before, vivid images of Haru and Makoto setting into his brain, but he never imagined that such a bond could exist so strongly, let alone be connected to him.
It took a while for Rin to calm down, cautious looks from the few passing people on their way home from work enough to get him to quiet himself, since to them he was sat on a park bench alone, bawling like a child.
“So, all thoses times I felt like somebody was there, somebody was comforting me and watching over me, keeping me safe, it was you?” Rin chanced a glance at Sousuke, seeing the other nod as affirmation before he sighed, hand running through his hair. This was all too much to take.
And then suddenly it hit him like a tonne of bricks.
“Come on Rin, if you don’t hurry we’ll miss practice!”
“I know! Just give me a second!” Rin called back to his friend, waving them ahead as he dropped to one knee to tie his shoe. He felt the wind blow softly as he stood up, almost crashing into another boy about his age.
“Ah, I’m really sorry! Are you okay?” He asked, reaching out a hand in case as the other just smiled, blue eyes crinkled slightly in kind, already moving past him, an echo of an apology all that was left of him.
Later on that day, Rin had felt his heart constrict in a way he never thought possible, the pain causing him to double over in the pool and clutch onto his chest with both hands, eyes tearing up and before he knew it, the pain was gone as quick as it came.
“You... Over there... We ran into each other didn’t we? The day you... died?” Rin asked carefully, head nodding towards the bench Rin was sat on before as Sousuke nodded, gentle smile on his lips.
“Yeah. Which would be why you can see me now. The place where our original paths crossed was revisited, meaning we now have a physical connection. Atleast, I’d assume that’s how it worked.” Sousuke shrugged, gazing softly at the other. Rin felt his cheeks heat up, wondering just how many times Sousuke had seen him upset. Excited, Heart broken. Victorious. Falling Apart. On the road to recovery.
It was a lot to take in, the knowledge that somebody was put on this earth to love him and only him, only to be ripped away before they could even meet properly. He swallowed back more tears, taking a deep breath.
“So... Do you think the gods or... whoever put this curse on your family made the right move?” Rin asked, question open and gentle, with a hint of humour to it. Sousuke grinned, tilting his head to the side.
“I’d say they definitely knew what they were doing when they placed me with you. I’m glad I got to see so much of your life, Rin, even if it wasn’t how I would have preferred it. Already being in love with somebody before you have a chance to talk to them or touch them, it’s hard. But you’re a joy to watch, to observe. I’d often talk or sing to you on your bad days, watch and laugh with you and your friends. Cheer for you whenever you had races.” Sousuke smiled, glancing down at Rin’s hand before gingerly laying his over the top, skin almost touching. Rin looked down too.
Sousuke was tanned, skin slightly translucent but dark enough to see the distinct contrast to his own pale skin. He turned his hand over, palm facing up, and willed himself to believe he could feel the warmth and weight of Sousuke’s palm in his.
“Thank you. For looking after me and loving me when I wasn’t even aware you were there. As weird as this is, my heart is fluttering slightly at the thought that I’ve always had somebody by my side who loves me, no matter what and wants to see me happy. I feel like I’ve missed you and only just gotten you back. Strange huh?” He murmured, head tilting to mimic resting on the others shoulder, all nerves and fear washed away by the mere understanding of the others existence and presence beside him. Sousuke hummed in agreement, eyes closing.
They stayed that ways for a while, quietly talking about things they missed, Sousuke catching Rin up on his favourite moments to be beside him and Rin sharing stories of the times who knew somebody was there, keeping him calm and safe.
Before they knew it, the sky was turning dark and Rin stood, smiling at Sousuke as they made the walk back to his apartment.
They spent the night led side by side on Rin’s bed, laughing and talking, poking fun at the other whenever they could and Rin realised that Sousuke really was perfect for him.
The tears came during the early hours of the morning, when the realisation that they could never touch
crashed down on Rin. Curled into the others chest as best as he could manage, Rin blamed it on over tiredness.
Sousuke let him believe it worked.
Before Rin fell asleep, he asked himself so many questions; of how they could make this work, of how different his life would be knowing that Sousuke was always going to be there. Even found himself briefly thinking that if he died he could atleast hold the others hand.
“You know, I want you to live your life right? Achieve your dreams, stay happy, meet people.” Sousuke interrupted and Rin startled, looking up at the other boy before smiling softly.
“I know. And I plan too. But first, I want to learn more about you, make up for the eight years that were stolen from us. Maybe I can track down your family too, see if they have any record of this happening. And if they do maybe I can ask them if the deity that hates them could maybe just... give you back your body, obviously fully grown.”
“Obviously. Sleep, you’re starting to sound delusional.” Sousuke laughed, a soft and deep sound, making butterflies fly within his stomach.
“Am not, you’re the delirious one.” Rin yawned, curling up more in the direction of the other.
He closed his eyes, feeling his breathing slow down and his heart rate relax, one last thought slipping from his lips.
“Promise me you’ll be here when I wake up?”
“Of course.”

MASTERLIST
request here
five times richie flirted with eddie and the one time he didn't
A/N I've never written one of these before so I hope its okay anon! it's four am rn but i was so determined to finish this but then tumblr wiped it and i almost cried. i wasn't gonna post it now but my last request did super well so i'll treat ya'll.
i legit googled how to flirt with someone bc i have never. So I legit googled how did people flirt in the 90's and then this happened :') I'm so sorry in advance, I got so carried away with this my god. Imagine if Pennywise never happened and Ben, Bev and Mike were losers from the beginning.
I
Eddie had always known Richie to a big flirt. He was his best friend so it was granted that Richie was to flirt with Eddie, so Eddie just put up with it. It started at the young of ten when the boys were sat side by side in their respected seats. That’s why in the middle of English class when Richie leant over to doodle a love heart on the corner of Eddie’s book with their initials ‘RT + EK = Forever,’ written within, he thought nothing of it. Everywhere you went throughout the school, Richie would have marked his territory by writing some obscure devotion of love for Eddie. Whether it was their initials in a heart, ‘Richie ♡ ‘s Eddie’ or Eddie Tozier, there were signs written everywhere. From classrooms, to bathroom stalls, to random wooden chairs that lingered around the school’s perimeter. Eddie knew Richie had a book covered in variations of their names etched upon every single piece of paper, he also knew the Richie’s parents weren’t too fond about it. But Eddie never understood why.
II
They were at the school disco, at the age of twelve, all the losers rocked up in hopes of having a nice time. In other words, they were forced by their parents. But Mike did end up tagging along so they were all happy about that. It wasn’t any surprise that the seven misfits sat in the back of the gym, all sitting around a circular table in their own conversations completely oblivious to the rest of their peers. Eddie sat with Richie to his right, Stan to his left. He was in a deep conversation about the new Captain America comic book when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He glanced at Richie’s out stretched hand to see a small red bottle of Panda Pop sitting in his palm. Richie had a wide grin permanently stuck to his face. Eddie glanced at the drink before looking back up to Richie. He looked around the circular table at the lack of drinks in any of the other loser’s hands. “Richie.” Eddie said, gazing locking with the taller boys. “You forgot about everyone else!” He exclaimed. “This is just like you.”  Eddie shook his head, standing and brushing shoulders with Richie as he headed in the direction of the rectangular table filled with beverages. All the other losers glanced up at Richie, with amusement behind their eyes. Richie sent them a glare and fell back into his chair.
III
When the boys reached the age of fourteen, Richie’s charade continued and Eddie saw no end to the plague of Richie Tozier. After a long, exhausted filled day of school Eddie just wanted to leave the prison that they were supposed to call a haven. Ducking around the back of the school to meet the loser at the bike racks, hopefully avoiding Henry Bowers and his goonies at the same time.   Heavy footsteps echoed his ears and a slow cringe made its way onto Eddie’s face. He froze in his place, bracing himself for the first round of physical abuse he was about to endure. But nothing ever came.
“Hey Ed’s!” Eddie felt an arm wrap around his shoulder, which caused the poor boy to let out a sigh, his body coming down from the fright. He really wasn’t in the mood to get beat up right now.
“Don’t call me that.” Eddie mumbled under his breath and began walking again. Richie hummed in response, tightening his grip around Eddie’s neck.
“Do you have a band-aid- “
“You know I do Richie why.” Eddie’s patience was running low with the boy. There was only so long you could handle being around Richie ‘trashmouth’ Tozier.
“Because I just scraped my knee falling for you. “Eddie rolled his eyes before shrugging off Richie’s arm and began to walk away from the boy in a huff.
“Eddie my boy, don’t be like that!” Richie said in one of his completely ridiculous accents that Eddie could only describe as the, ‘shitty British John Cleese.’  Richie jogged lightly to catch up with the shorter boy. “You know I love you! Almost as much as your fat Mom!”
IV
At the age of fifteen was when Richie had really began listening to music. His home life was rough, that Eddie knew and the only way Richie seemed to deal with it was listening to his music. Eddie never seemed to see the appeal. That’s way when Richie Tozier snuck into his bedroom window at two am with a mixtape, Richie’s chicken scratch hand writing over the top, reading the words ‘Eddie Spaghetti’ a messy love heart was added after his name and a doodle of roses sat beside it. Eddie didn’t know what to think.
Richie hadn’t even stayed long enough to make sure Eddie would listen to it, but he did and Richie knew he would. Eddie opened the plastic container, a folded piece of film fell out from on top of the cassette tape and landed within his lap. Picking the white film up he unfolded the picture and was greeted with his own laughing face starring back at him. He was sat on top of Richie’s shoulders, the photo he remembers being taken only a week earlier after school.
He remembers the day clearly, he had fought Richie and told him to leave him alone because there was no way in hell, he was willingly getting on top of the 5”7 boys shoulders without a fight. But there he sat, legs hanging over Richie’s shoulders Richie’s hands holding tightly on Eddie’s own. As both boys smiled happily, hand in hand.
Eddie admired the wide smile on Richie’s face, the pure joy that seemed to radiate from the photo brought a small smile to his own. Brushing his finger lightly over Richie’s face, just appreciating the loud boy. With a sigh, Eddie flipped over the film to read the small words written on the back, “love is like syphilis, it makes you crazy, eventually leading to death.” [X] Eddie rolls his eyes at Richie poor attempt of humour but he was humoured at the very least.
Leaning over to the stereo on his shelf, he turned the volume to the minimum as to not wake his mother, the first song started to play. The tune of the song made his eyes roll before the words even started to play. He laid back onto his bed, arm behind his head, the words filled his ears, a small smile on his face.
“Oh, I can't fight this feeling any longer,
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out this friendship has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show,” [X]
V
A year later the losers were standing at the counter of the Aladdin. Richie’s arm in its forever permanent spot around Eddie’s back. The smaller boy subconsciously leant into his side. Eddie wonder if Richie ever regrets how much he flirts with the younger boy, Eddie thought he surely would be stopping any girls from getting to Richie. But Richie didn’t seem to care.  “Hey Babe?” Richie questioned.
Eddie hummed in response, too use to the pet names that Richie’s given him over the years for it to matter. Richie had grown a whole lot in a year, he had to be nearing 6” foot by now. Eddie was not at all jealous over the fact he was still barely reaching 5”5, still the shortest of all the Loser’s, Bev included. Eddie felt Richie shift behind him, head resting on top of his own, arms around Eddie’s waist. “Did you want any popcorn?” Richie could be extremely clinging when he wasn’t in your face obnoxiously joking about sleeping with his mom. Richie didn’t seem like he was in the happiest moods today, all the Loser’s would agree, so Eddie went with the flow and gave him the attention he thought the older boy needed.
“Don’t worry about it Rich, I’ll pay for the popcorn. You got us the tickets.” Eddie said with a light tap of his hands-on Richie’s own.
“It was my idea to come see the movie Ed’s, I’ll get the popcorn. “ Richie said, stepping away from the teenage boy. Eddie turned around to catch him before he left.
“Hey Richie?” Eddie questioned. Richie turned with hum in response. “Why do you never buy any of the others popcorn?” Richie eyes lifted slightly in surprise, a small smile playing on his face, he flicked his tongue out to swipe itself across his bottom lip. He stared over to where the rest of the loser’s stood, laughing loudly at something Stan had said. Richie’s face deadpanned.
“I’m trying to impress your Mom, Ed’s. “
+ I
All the Loser’s sat around a circle, it was March the seventh which means it was Richie’s seventeenth birthday. Buddy Holly [X] was playing lowly in the background. And Eddie was feeling nervous. The past few days Richie had seemed to distance himself from the boy and Eddie had wondered if it was something he did. Neither Bill or Bev had any idea on the matter which Eddie feel even worse about the situation. Eddie bit his lip as he passed the bottle half filled with amber coloured liquid around the circle. Richie seemed perfectly happy but Eddie felt out of place. Without the touches or the kind words or jokes about his Mom. Richie wasn’t Richie.
Moments later, the bottle was done and the group had dissipated. Eddie grabbed Richie’s hand and pulled him away from the main floor. “Ed’s?” Richie questioned. “Is everything okay?”
Richie eye’s squinted to look into Eddie’s own. “I-Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” Richie turned his head to the side seemingly confused. Eddie opened his mouth before closing it. “I-Yo-We-Bu-,” Eddie stared at Richie in exasperation.
“Damn Bill, calm down a bit would ya?.” Eddie stare turned quickly into a disappointed glare. Richie held his hands up in defence.
Eddie crossed his arms over his chest, looking up at the taller boy through his dark brown curls. Eddie let out a huff, “Why don’t you treat me like you use to.” Eddie looked at the ground, suddenly more interested in his stark white converse than the conversation.
Richie cracked smile. “Finally.” He muttered. “I was waiting to see how long it would take for you to miss me.”
Eddie tilted his head in utter disbelief as he watched Richie face etched with a cheeky smile. Eddie shook his head and in one quick moment his small moisturized hands were upon Richie’s cheeks, he stood on his tippy toes and placed his soft pink lips against Richie’s chapped ones with an impatient desire. Eddie felt Richie gasped in surprise as he lips moved against Richie’s own. Eddie was yet to pull away when he felt Richie began applying the same amount of force or maybe even more back. Eddie noted that Richie tasted like tobacco and cheap whiskey, but the boy couldn’t get enough. Richie’s hands trailed down to Eddie’s hips, gripping the edge of the small boys lightly coloured shirt.
As he pulled away, the feeling of Richie’s lips lingered against his own, Eddie brought a hand to his lips touching them with his fingertips as a smile spread across his face. He rested back on the balls of his feet before looking up to meet Richie’s gaze.
Richie’s mouth laid ajar, eyes widen in feign surprise. “Was that you trying to flirt with me Eddie Kaspbrak?”
A/N this did not turn out what I was hoping but eh, still cute ish

Dancing for Infidget prompts? Infinite would have to stand on his toes and Gadget might start bending down to meet him half-way. Also, while waltzing, Infinite would always looks floaty and graceful, but Gadget would keep slipping into a polka waltz. They'd keep standing on one-another's toes, but Infinite can't help but smile a little when seeing Gadget look so energetic and happy. (THIS WAS GONNA BE THE ONE SENTENCE AND I GOT CARRIED AWAY SORRY)
AYEEE THIS IS A RLY CUTE PROMPT THANK Ui think i didnt entirely nail this bc im v rusty w my writing rn, but hopefully what ended up tumbling out suffices sdfghjgf i’ll dump it under a read more!! didnt have much of a proper direction so what happened just kinda happened lmao
There’s flour everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. Coating the wooden countertops, clinging to their fur, the substance spreads from area to area with seemingly no end amidst all the other kitchen chaos. Pots and pans also clutter the sink in disorderly piles, sugar spills from a packet left open and slumped over on its side, used utensils are strewn around, there’s a small puddle of milk on the tiled floor… the list could go on.But Infinite and Gadget are having the time of their lives. Caring not for the disarray, the two banter back and forth as they finish putting their cookies into the toasty oven at long last. While not the most professional looking lumps of dough, the wolf insists it’s perfectly fine; they’re made with love.“Well, so long as neither of us get food poisoning. Love won’t save us from that.”The teasing comment prompts said wolf to playfully swat at his arm with a checkered print tea-towel in protest. “Hey, I may be a sloppy baker, but I’m not that careless!”“…I guess I’ll take your word for it.”Due to the heat in the room gradually rising what with the cooking, the long-haired mobian reaches over to unlatch and open the window. The light summer breeze that flows in is instantly gratifying, fluttering the curtains and ruffling said hair somewhat, and it carries the scent of flowers. He can now hear faint, distant sounds of small children frolicking in the park nearby to their flat, almost drowned out entirely by the soft, mildly static hum of their old radio. Despite being past its prime, Gadget had insisted on keeping it, claiming the slightly warbled sound gave it an odd kind of charm. Naturally, Infinite had tuned the aged thing into a rock station. He soaks in all the elements of the homely atmosphere as, speak of the devil, Gadget slides up behind him and buries his snout into the crook of Infinite’s neck. Long white locks are delicately brushed aside. As the wolf speaks, his warm breath tickles against obsidian fur, and there’s that distinct, little hint of giddiness in his tone that weaves its way in whenever he’s close to his partner. They only made things official just recently, so it’s understandable, really.“You hungry..?”“Hm?”“Aw, c'mon, don’t say you still don’t have an appetite after all this work. They won’t take long!”“Oh, don’t worry, I’m definitely not letting these go to waste.” Infinite can practically feel his boyfriend’s familiar, beaming grin, and chuckles. For a moment they merely stand there enjoying one another’s company, until Gadget abruptly shifts, taking hold of one of Infinite’s hands. He then leans over with the other to turn the volume dial of the radio propped on the windowsill, cranking it up higher with a gleeful sparkle in his amber eyes. The words that follow the gesture are spoken more akin to an affectionate demand than a means of invitation.“Dance with me.”“..Dance?” Infinite blinks, cocking his head with one comically raised brow. A slight smirk graces his features. “You’re… not kidding, are you?”Feeling the wolf interlock their fingers together more securely, he supposes he has his answer, but if that wasn’t enough of a giveaway, Gadget nods enthusiastically. As what he can vaguely identify as the intro to some early 2000’s hit starts up, he finds himself dragged into……a waltz?“What makes you think I’d joke with you like that?”Infinite is clearly struggling to hold back his amusement, trying to ease into the unsteady flow - if their awkward shuffling could even be considered as such - of movements.“You know, Gadget, this choice of dance and the music don’t exactly match. In fact, they clash horribly.”“Who cares?! Having fun is what’s important. We may be terrible,” the statement is unintentionally emphasised as Gadget steps on his foot, “but we’re terrible together.”…He can’t argue with that. A grin graces his muzzle, and Infinite laughs, admiring his energetic companion with a gentle and humoured gaze. The two allow themselves to get lost in the music, and quite frankly, most certainly each other as well. They sometimes slip into completely different styles of dance, swaying back and forth and always entirely off-beat to the rhythm of the song, but lack a care in the world. Infinite swears his heart is drumming far harder than bassline of this track, and as it draws to a close, in an attempt to end with a flourish, Gadget for once makes a rather bold move and dips the other mobian. This would have worked out…If it wasn’t for the milk on the floor.Infinite’s bare foot slips on the spillage and he falls down without even time to register it, pulling his poor boyfriend with him until they’re left in an unceremonious, tangled heap on the chill tiles. Gadget is on top of him gaping down in surprise and embarrassment, the radio continues to blare obnoxiously, their prides are down the drain……and then they break into laughter harder than they have in weeks. Who could possibly keep a straight face? The sheer hilarity of the situation hits and both can barely just wheeze out words of apology to one another after the tumble they took. It requires a solid few minutes to calm down enough for them to meet gazes again without it inducing another chuckle fit, but once they do, Infinite is left breathless not simply because of the amount of giggles they’ve shared by this point or having the wind knocked out of him, but by the sheer happiness in Gadget’s eyes. The wolf is absolutely radiating joy, and to know that he had a part in bringing him that joy? It makes his heart soar to indescribable heights. He lacks a cheesy enough metaphor to truly express the way his love’s presence makes him feel, in fact.Gadget tilts his head with a curious smile as though silently questioning the unwavering, awestruck stare, and that’s when Infinite kisses him. Hands find themselves running through unkempt, but wonderfully soft auburn fur. He’s too adorable, damn it. It’s spontaneous and brief, but lingering; the two are reluctant to withdraw. Infinite finds he tastes of all things sweet and sugary, like strawberries and cream, or his favourite candy, and Gadget’s smooth lips ghost over his admittedly more chapped own, feather-light but with a deeply resonating fondness. It remains like this for… well, he isn’t sure how long. What, you expect a guy to be able to focus enough to count the seconds at a time like this?“As much as I love kissing you,” Gadget finally mumbles between each tiny peck, his cheeks heavily flushed, “The floor isn’t exactly comfy, Infi. Plus, the cookies are gonna burn…”Infinite smiles and rolls his eyes. He laughs in deep huffs, and strays to pepper a few final smooches over the other’s freckled muzzle, before ceasing in his affections entirely. “It hasn’t been that long. I do agree with you about the floor, though…”That being said, Gadget manoeuvres off of him and within a moment, they’re both back on their feet and rummaging around for a pair of misplaced oven-gloves. Suffice to say, while Infinite’s rear might be a bit sore the next day, he deems the fall worth it. Entirely.…“Have you been eating the icing, by the way?”…“How’d you know?”
