i mean, if you've been following me for like at least a day, you'd probably notice my own blog is big wind propaganda lmao

i am personally very particular about my interpretations of the characters, hence why i don't read a lot of fics cause i don't generally agree with like twilight's, wild's or time's general fanon interpretations (really do not like the whole cub/pup nickname thing), and with wind is the same

I've yapped about this a thousand times before and i show it in my comics and drawings, i write wind as going through his awkward teenager phase

he is grumpy and wants to be noticed, he is an older brother but is now stuck as a younger one, he wants to be appreciated and celebrated for what he's done, but he's also a kid and open displays of affection embarrass him but he also likes them

he likes affection but only when he initiates, if the others initiate it he sees it as them babying him, he does reckless things as a way to show off cause he so desperately wants the others to notice him and not just see him as a kid

but he is a kid in the end, and as such he doesn't know the danger or consequences of what he does

he gets grumpy and can be rude or snappy, especially when frustrated with the others, but even if they are older than he is, if he sees them struggling he gets his older brother instincts take over and goes all big brother on the others which the others appreciate

it's also why i made the whole "guppy" nickname as something the others tease him with, which he absolutely hates and gets grumpy about, but also secretly likes cause it means he's been included

anyway, that's the wind i write and draw in anycase, everybody has their own interpretations of the characters and that's fair tbh, but the people writing him as nothing but a small kid clearly haven't read the OG LU comic cause he's not lmao

i tend to write him more grumpier than his canon self, but that's cause i think grumpy teens are funny

Been thinking about idw1's outliers lately, and how sort of wild the whole concept is from a worldbuilding standpoint, and it struck me that most confirmed outlier abilities tend to be really useful, or flashy, or powerfully dangerous, and few to none tend to be like, really boring, or totally impractical, or even entirely useless? Which, doesn't really make sense when considering the fact that outlier abilities are seemingly random.

Surely not everyone who's born an outlier gets something useful?

And I don't mean like, "good" useful, but any sort of useful, even if that means you can kill people with your voice, or give a power boost by exploding yourself, those are still "useful".

But surely there had to be some with abilities that were totally impractical, or nonbeneficial, or at the very least just insignificant or purely aesthetic and pointless?
