Actually the most hilarious reveal of this chapter was the fact that Feng had no reason to de-age Rip a whole 15 years to heal him of his injuries in L100 (other than to make himself younger obvs). That man did it primarily because he thought it would be funny and you can’t change my mind. Do you think anyone else knew the 15 years wasn’t necessary or did everyone kinda say yeah 15 years sounds about right to heal a guy and never questioned it.

AU where Simon has managed to chain God to control it to his will
God, looking for help, detected P's potential and decided to turn him into an angel to increase P's chance of victory
Otherwise the story remains the same
At the start of the game, Sophia's butterfly reached P as normal, but as soon as P woke up, everything around him darkened and a booming voice told him "Puppet of Geppetto, I see your potential and I need your help. Allow me to grant you higher powers to help on your journey."
Then P felt a searing pain on both sides of his back, and when the darkness receded, he realized he now had gigantic wings and a halo
All in all, P is very confused about his situation but he just goes with it
P is actually mute in this AU, becoming an angel gave him a mental connection with Gemini who now speaks for him when needed (Gemini usually starts his sentences with "My pal here says—" when speaking for P)
Basically when God turned P into an angel, it noticed its chosen little guy was unable to speak (which isn't very practical mind you) and thus woke Gemini up as well and gave the two a connection
Being an angel grants him even more strength and nearly infinite stamina
He can use his halo as a throwable item with infinite uses
Upon death, instead of time being rewinded to the last moment where P was intact, P is fully revived on the spot
It does leave opportunities for enemies to take advantage of this to torture him, but God would intervene if worst comes to worst
Needless to say, Geppetto is very confused upon meeting with his son

nothing intelligent or helpful to say about it really but we had SUCH a good time at One Hand Clapping. Everyone should go if they've got the chance.
#It was just me and my baby that went#He's actually almost two now but he's still my baby#I just wanted it to be us two because we're the only ones that we know that really appreciate this stuff irl#And yes#I mean we#My little ND baby is just as obsessed as I am#I mean he's not writing rpf#But the best way I can get him to do anything he doesn't want to do (nap eat new food ot st car rides etc) is to let him listen to the Beat#So yeah he loved it!!! He got annoyed when the interviews would cut into the songs but I'd just hand him a snack and he was good#But yeah for the most part he was just thrilled#I think his favorite part was the backyard bit he was GLUED lol and just beaming#It was a two hour drive to the theater so we made a whole day of it#We went to the mall and he played at the play place and we looked at toys for his birthday#and we got chicken nuggets and french fries and ice cream#And we had little matching crochet sweater vests#And it was so sweet for me and honestly if anyone thinks I shouldn't bring my toddler to a movie theater#Paul and Linda would very much approve so you can chill#but yeah anyways

forever hilarious to me that tennis is promoted as this prestigious highbrow big-brain sport when most tennis fans these days are like. yeah this is my favorite player. yeah i don't know why they're like that. yes they are stupid. no i will not choose somebody else.
#wta tennis#atp tennis#i feel like the era of...shall we say 'federer-esque' players is waning#which i think can in part be related to the loss of the one-handed-backhand#as the sport moves more toward a necessity for fitness and athleticism players do not put as much emphasis on 'art'#which imo is fine! i think the 'art' of tennis is too protected in some ways. which i maybe will expand on later.#but i think it's too much for the tags of a (mostly) silly post#but yeah you can hear a lot of commentators touch on it#i know nadal even said something abt it recently(ish)#but i think as tennis is gradually less associated with this abstract 'image' (e.g. the obsession with federer's 'grace' and 'class')#players are coming in thinking 'this is a physical battle and i am going to win' and very much leaning into the *competition*#which not to say that they're ignoring/denying the mental aspects at all because i actually do think many players are very strategic/aware#and in truth i think many tennis players ARE actually very smart#but i also think it's less apparent because more and more players are able to just hit the shit out of the ball and call it a day#which leaves you with the occasional shot/point/game/set/match etc where it seems like they don't know what the fuck they're doing#but you think about most sports which evolve in phases#it's very normal for certain player profiles to become more or less popular as the landscape of the sport changes#or as new techniques/strategies are developed#or as new communities/populations become interested!#extreme example but think of like. high jump's fosbury flop. that was one guy!#one guy who changed the entire fucking sport! so it makes perfect sense that tennis is continuing to evolve#given how many unique players have come and gone#and how much the sport is changing externally as well as internally#anyways. this got out of hand but i love sports and i love tennis and i love my brainless players.#this whole post was inspired by rewatching sabalenka v boulter and aryna completely missed an overhead by like five feet. lol#love her <3

Just curious what the average level of personal investment in these sorts of things is. Like, how much do people usually get into silly stuff like this their friends ask of them? etc. etc. Which I know, only surveying a small sample on a very specific website means I'm not getting an exact average idea lol, but.. curious nonetheless .. Maybe reblog for bigger sample size but also this is not very serious at all/not worth a call to action gbhjbhjb

GENERALLY. in the most general average scenario#where you have the average amount of health and free time that you always do. etc. just based on your personality#and level of investment in these things - what on AVERAGE are you most inclined to do#also of course assume they communicate with you ahead of time and are not like planning a part last minute#like 'throw together costume in 5 hours and show up tonight randomly' or etc. I would hope that if we're going with the#AVERAGE of things - most people's friends have better communication skills than springing entire parties#on people last minute lol#assume you have like.. a few days-a week or so to prepare. however ealrly people usually start talking about#birthdays. In my experience it's usually one or two weeks ahead of time. #yes this is directly inspired by Syd and Nightmare’s recent animalistic Raava pieces#I’m sorry if you expected something related to the spirit kites but I’m obsessed with my OCs first and foremost#and Suiren is already very feral in most verses. the mermaid AU just adds a biological factor to it#but actually. fun fact. she doesn’t even look as feral as she would be were she a full mermaid#(yeah I’m spoiler alert that’s not really a spoiler given that I drew a lot for this AU last year and already gave it away. Ghazan’s human)#(meaning Suiren’s only half mermaid. I’ve never drawn her in this AU but I imagine Ming-Hua looking ever more monster like)#(bc I dislike when mermaids are just pretty girls with fish tails. give me FANGS and CLAWS and SCALES and GILLS and FINS)#(so yeah. Ming-Hua has a lot more scaled and also dorsal fins running higher up her back. and a more dexterous tail. I should draw her)#but I hope the vibe still comes across. with the blood and all 😁#was it a fish she ate or a too curious human? that’s for me to know and for you to find out#ANYWAY!! some new headcanons about my mermaids based on what you guys said about human Raava:#my mermaids don’t inherently know human language. their underwater communication sounds similar to whale singing#above water it’s more of a chirping noise? though more elongated and melodic than a dolphin’s. something between a trill and a whine#and most don’t have the capacity to speak human language. but sirens have unique vocal chords that allow the siren spell to work#it’s similar to a parrot’s. they’re very good at mimicry. it’s an evolutionary hunting tactic#but they also have more developed brains than a parrot’s therefore can not only mimic but consciously speak#though it takes time to master. like a foreign language#am I implying that when Mingzan met as kids they couldn’t understand each other and Ghazan taught her to speak human? yes. yes I am#because I’m a sucker for language barriers and think that scenario is adorable. fucking sue me.#and obliviously Suiren was taught both mermaid and human. but it was Midori who helped her keep up her knowledge#(look I don’t have that part plotted out yet but Something happens to their parents and they’re left on their own. as a parallel to SotRL)#(also btw Midori was born without a tail but still not quite human. she has scales and gills and ear fins and fangs and glowing eyes)#(and no one but Suiren and Haya know about all that. What's this!? A Bleach OC!? More likely than you think!
Anyway, Jojo and I are still figuring things out, but her name is Miyahara Shiori. She is a sickly shinigami who is in squad 10! That's why she's got a scarf on and also, I'm thinking of having her wear cute compression gloves. She made the gloves herself! I also like thinking she enjoys sewing and wood carving.
Despite being in squad 10, she is often going into the world of the living [of course informing her captain beforehand] in order to do her patrols! She has great love, nurturing, and need to protect towards humans. She feels the Gotei 13 have been not putting enough focus on the world of the living as well as Seireitei, so she tries to do her part to "make up for that." Which strains her health more than it is already being strained.
I'll talk more about her later. My head hurts! But if you like my art and want your own OC drawn in my style....
