Bowuigi Mating Dance Idea

Again, another crack Bowuigi idea that I'm not sure how to flesh out. For this one, Bowser steals a serum/potion from the Mushroom Kingdom in hopes that it will make him invincible. However, instead, it reveals his subconscious desires. And one of those desires is to have Luigi as his partner.

Wrote some copy for this, but again, not entirely fleshed out:

Mario and Luigi stood up with a grunt. Princess Peach’s throne room was a mess, with rubble everywhere and a gaping hole where the room’s doors used to be. From behind them, Peach reached over to see if they were okay, but Mario gently pushed her back, straightening himself. 

The toads who had been in the room had already fled. They had been in the middle of a meeting when Bowser so kindly interrupted. 

Bowser guffawed as he strolled through the hole his airship had just made. His advisor, Kamek, flew on his broomstick above Bowser’s head. Green-shelled koopas marched behind them, and they quickly flanked the trio. 

Luigi took a deep breath and tried to stop shaking so much.

“Well, well, did I catch you guys on a bad day?” Bowser crooned. “That’s too bad.” He looked as menacing as usual, especially with the setting sun on his back. 

Mario rubbed the dust off of his mustache. “Can’t you just leave us alone? We all know how this ends.”

Luigi nodded in agreement, crossing his arms over his chest.

Bowser pretended to look at his claws. “I’m afraid things are going to be a bit different this time.” He smirked as he reached into his shell and pulled out a bottle full of strange, pink liquid. He held it up into the sky and roared, “Behold! My raw strength is about to increase tenfold!”

Peach pushed past Mario and Luigi, a confused look on her face. “Wait, why do you have that?”

“My dearest Peaches, it was actually quite easy to steal from your castle’s boring research facility. And now, I’ll use it to rule the world.”

Peach raised an eyebrow, and Mario and Luigi looked at each other. 

“I would highly recommend you don’t use that, Bowser,” Peach said slowly.  

“Hah! As if,” Bowser sneered. He opened the bottle and downed the contents in one go. 

Mario and Luigi readied themselves, clenching their fists and opening their stances. Peach covered her mouth in surprise. 

Bowser grinned and looked down at his body in expectation. But… nothing about his body really changed. He glared over at Kamek. “You idiot! I thought you said this would make me invincible!”

Kamek held up his hands in placation. “I couldn’t quite examine it, sire, because you didn’t want me to waste a single drop. So I made a guess based on what it looked and smelled like.”

Bowser growled. “That’s it. When we get back, you’re—” Bowser stopped talking mid sentence, his snout twitching like crazy. He tried again, “You’re…” He shook his head and stumbled a bit.

“Your majesty! Are you all right?”

Luigi glanced over at Peach, who was rolling her eyes at Bowser.  “Um… what exactly does it do, princess?” he asked.

Peach opened her mouth to respond, when Bowser let out a loud grunt. They all looked over at him to see his pupils had dilated. He was staring right at them. Luigi and Mario both took a step in front of the princess.

Bowser didn’t move for a second, then he leaned forward and let out a low bellow that sounded like chainsaws trying to start up. Luigi had never heard such a sound from Bowser before. 

Turning around, Bowser’s tail swept across the floor, flickering and moving in a strange pattern. Even stranger, his spikes started raising and lowering in some sort of rhythm.

Luigi had no idea Bowser’s shell could do that. Looking over at Mario, Luigi could tell he was thinking the same thing.

Bowser faced forward again and let out another bellow. This one was accompanied by a small burst of sparks from his muzzle. Then he turned right back around and kept doing that weird shell and tail combo.

“Well… that’s a thing. I guess,” Mario said, stroking his mustache.

Luigi kind of wanted to laugh. But they were still surrounded by Bowser’s minions. “Hey, how about I take the right side, and you take the left side?”

Mario nodded and said, “Peach, keep Bowser distracted?”

Peach hummed in agreement. 

The two Mario brothers took off. The koopas charged at Luigi, but he easily hopped onto their heads and kicked them out of the hole Bowser made. He hit a few with his hammer and kicked those, too. 

“Luigi, look out!” Peach called.

Luigi turned around and came face to face with Bowser. He jumped back with a shriek and held up his hands in defense. The koopas he had been fighting now took cover behind Bowser.

“Sire! What are you doing?” Kamek called. He shot a blast of magic at Mario, who dodged it easily. Mario’s end of koopas were already out of commission. 

Bowser didn’t answer, he just stared at Luigi with his red eyes. When Luigi continued to stand there, Bowser let out a rumbling bellow and bobbed his head up and down. 

Luigi had no idea what was going on. Maybe he should just leave this sort of thing to Mario. He tried to run back to Peach’s side, but Bowser stepped in front of him. Luigi didn’t dare breathe. But Bowser didn’t hurt him. Instead, he turned around and slapped his tail up and down on the floor. 

Now Luigi was really confused. What exactly was in that bottle?

A blast of magic surrounded Bowser and lifted him towards the hole in the room. “Your Craziness, we must retreat!” Kamek cried. He barely managed to dodge Mario trying to jump up and grab his broom. 

Instead of listening to his advisor, Bowser let out a fierce growl. Kamek froze in his tracks, dissipating the hovering spell, and stared at Bowser in bewilderment. Mario managed to grab the tip of Kamek’s broom and yank him down. The magikoopa freed himself by shooting a small lightning bolt at Mario, who avoided it gracefully.

Bowser let out one last growl towards his advisor, then he approached Luigi again. Smoke billowed out of Bowser’s mouth as he approached.

“What do you want?!” Luigi cried hysterically, glancing around the room. 

A piece of debris hit Bowser in the head. Luigi and Bowser turned to see Peach winding up to throw another one. Bowser blew a plume of fire in her direction. Mario dove onto her, getting both of them out of the way. Mario dragged Peach out of the way when another one of Kamek’s lightning bolts struck the ground.

Luigi returned his attention to Bowser, who had managed to get up close to Luigi’s personal space without him noticing. Luigi held up his hands in surrender; the last thing he wanted to do was set Bowser off in his crazed state.

Bowser stared down at Luigi, his blown up pupils nearly drowning out the whites of his eyes. Luigi tried to take a step back, but he got poked by something. He glanced behind him to see the few koopas he didn’t manage to take care of standing there. One of them had a long spear, which they used to push Luigi towards their king.

Luigi covered his head with his hands. His legs shook violently, and he muttered prayers to himself in Italian.

However, instead of Bowser biting his head off, Luigi felt something warm and soft rub against his face. He opened his eyes and moved his hands away, right when Bowser leaned back from Luigi. When Luigi didn’t do anything, Bowser leaned down again and rubbed his cheek on Luigi’s. 

Luigi froze. He saw movement out of the corner of his eye and saw Mario, Peach, Kamek, and the koopas staring at the scene.

“Seriously, Peach, what was in that elixir?” Mario asked. His eyes looked like they were going to bug out of his head. 

Peach hummed. “It was a serum that revealed your subconscious desires… We were testing it for interrogation purposes…” She tapped her chin in thought. 

Kamek shook his head. He flew down and wacked Luigi’s face away from Bowser’s with the back of his broom. Luigi sputtered and tripped on something behind him. He heard a low growl and something firm wrap around his body. He looked down to see Bowser’s hand around his waist. 

With a gulp, Luigi slowly looked up at Bowser, whose eyes were half lidded as he stared down at Luigi. Was it just him, or was Bowser’s face getting closer?

“Sire! Enough of this nonsense!” Kamek screeched. He flew up to Bowser’s head and wacked the back of it with his wand.

Bowser’s eyes shrunk back to their normal size, and Bowser shook his head to clear it. 

“W-what?” Bowser groaned. He glanced at Luigi, then at Mario and Peach, then back at Luigi with a look of bewilderment. 

“Um… hi…” Luigi muttered. He tried to tug Bowser’s fingers off of him, but his grip was strong. 

Bowser’s face morphed into his usual cocky sneer. “What do you think you’re doing?”

“H-hey!” Luigi protested, “I’m not the one who was making googly eyes earlier! And is still holding onto me!”

Bowser glanced down at his hand and blinked, as if just noticing he was holding onto Luigi. He dropped Luigi unceremoniously onto the floor.

“Your highness, I suggest a tactical retreat!” Kamek called.

Bowser grumbled. “FINE!” He blew flame towards Mario and Peach, so they wouldn’t follow after them as they ran back to their airship. 

Luigi watched them go with absolute confusion. Mario tried to chase after them, but he was too late. Luigi didn’t bother standing up, his mind still stuck on what had transpired.

I like to think that the bellowing Bowser's doing is like an alligator's bellow, but much louder.

Let’s see if I stay motivated long enough to finish this fic lol

Yes yes bowuigi Luigi dresses up as Peach and when he’s found out by a dramatic display of them lowering his mask or his wig falling off Bowser is so humiliated that he was easily tricked that he forces Luigi to stay and they fall in love with each other. BUT…what about Luigi dresses up as Peach but Bowser knows?

As in, he has spies in the mushroom kingdom who report that they saw Peach and Mario discussing how to save Luigi discreetly and he puts two and two together. Instead of revealing this, he wants to see how long Luigi can last. How long can Luigi go being referred to as Peach? When will he mess up? Bowser takes him to dinner multiple times, wondering if he’ll forget why he’s wearing a mask. 

Eventually, he finds himself growing fond of the plumber. He finds it endearing when Luigi stumbles (”Pea-I mean I, me, I’m peach, went out to the garden and the plants still had dew on them hours after it rained.” “Uh-I-learned that Italian word from Mario and Luigi, ha ha.”). Bowser finds himself being vulnerable with him, discussing his worries about the future of his kingdom, how proud of his kids he is, etc. He catches Luigi putting the wig on and thinks how disappointed he is that Luigi’s fluffy brown hair is hidden (and he kind of wants to run his claws through it…) He finds Luigi’s pretty eyes genuine and curious, interested in what he has to say. It’s nice. 

Meanwhile, Luigi is Freaking Out™. Because oh god. The Koopa King is being so so so vulnerable with Luigi, but Bowser thinks he’s Peach. Mama Mia Luigi is dead if Bowser ever finds out. (Perhaps he doesn’t want Bowser to find out. If he did, Luigi wouldn’t get to teach the koopalings how to cook their favorite foods anymore, or just hang out and surprisingly have pleasant conversations with the Koopa King.) He feels extremely guilty (how could he betray his loving brother like this? How could he play with Bowser’s feelings like this?)

The thing is, Bowser is under the impression that Luigi knows he knows (he’s kind of bad at hiding it so Bowser assumed he wasn’t really trying anymore). That conversation between Luigi and Bowser kind of goes like “YOU KNEW!!??” “YOU DIDN’T!!??”

We got a Friday the 13th event in our Bowuigi discord server, so I made this comic. I've always wanted to share my own take of Bowser's and Luigi's wedding. Enjoy these nine pages of bad luck and fluff :D

Half asleep Bowuigi idea where Luigi gets kidnapped and somehow castle chef is not able to make food and Luigi volunteers because these kids are hungry and they need to eat!

He makes a massive Italian meal, Kamek doesn't even know where he got the ingredients from but he eats a bit and is not complaining, all the Koopalings eat it and are instantly like ‘we are keeping him’.

Suddenly all the minions are actually really really trying to stop Mario it goes to Kaizo levels hard and Mario is not having a good time, but he is getting his brother back. Peach is not sure if she should be offended or not that they’ve never been this bad when it was her kidnapped.

Bowsers confused why it’s taking Mario so long (He’s a bit happy though because the green one is kinda nice to talk to NOT THAT HE WILL EVER ADMIT THAT)

Bonus: The Koopalings met Polterpup and lose their minds because IT’S A DOG! IT’S A GHOST DOG! HE HAS A GHOST DOG WE ARE KEEPING HIM AND THE DOG! WHY DID YOU KEEP KIDNAPPING THE PRINCESS DAD THIS GUY IS SO COOL AND HE HAS A DOG!

luigi got lost and prince bowser was like ‘it’s free baby/ friend’

luigi just wandered into koopa kingdom, kamek’s looking for his parents, and prince bowser is watching over him until they’re found

this is either an alternate universe where their kid versions are friends, or it’s from the partners in time game and their younger selves are hanging out for a bit

Are there any fanfics in were Bowser signs a peace treaty because he wanted to date Luigi…

Like imagine Bowser is trying to get Mario’s blessing to date his brother because Kamek told him to (do it right this time you’re impatientNess)

Mario, of course says “ over my dead-a body. Will I allow-a you to date my brother”

It was only once he was talking to peach (he took Luigi and himself to the castle for Luigi’s protection that, and he was worried that the princess was gonna get kidnapped again) when she gave him the idea to give him trials and so throughout the entire afternoon Luigi just sat there, watching Mario and peach and daisy who they called up specifically for this conversation on what kind of things Bowser can do to prove himself

Although, at some point, Daisy mentioned about when exactly did Bowser get feelings for luigi, which intern cause everyone to turn to Luigi to see if he had any answers 

Luigi begrudgingly admitted that him and Bowser  would strike up in conversation during sporting events, party games and racing competitions, growing into being a bit of a “situation ship” ( say thanks to @silly-inky for the “Situationship” they mentioned it in a post of theirs, and I loved it too much, that I couldn’t not implicate it into something of mine)

Anyways flabbergasted, they started questioning Luigi on why he would strike up a conversation with the king Koopa. only for luigi to respond with “ you want me to ignore the koopa King or something? I don’t have a Deathwish!”

 They were shocked to hear that Bowser of all people would start up a conversation with one of the Mario brothers, although, in hindsight, it is just as equally as impossible for Luigi to start a conversation, if not more. Not letting the conversation go they poke around for more information

Luigi, without getting too into detail, tells them that it started off with a simple question. Bowser had asked him what he was doing in the sidelines instead of with the others in which Luigi responded with how he wasn’t as popular as the others, and would only be in the way

Mario and princesses didn’t appreciate this “fact” and was quick to tell him

Peach: you could never be in the way!

Mario: you have fans!

Daisy: yeah, me!

Luigi simply just shook his head in which the others were ready to tell him off once more if it wasn’t for the fact that Luigi spoke, saying how Bowser said something similar

Luigi: “ he said how he couldn’t believe someone who fought him was anything but popular”

 once again, the other three humans are caught off guard by Luigi’s words, or more specifically this time by Bowser’s. each of them having the same thought about how oddly kind that was of him

Luigi decides to forego mentioning about how his face immediately went hot with flustered embarrassment at Bowser’s words and instead mentioned that he intern, asked Bowser why he wasn’t with a Koopalings. After all his mama raised him right, if someone strikes up (somewhat) polite conversation with you then you should recuperate if possible

 Mario nods in response to that, the Brother ‘s were nice to the fault for a reason although it seems Luigis kindness surpasses Mario’s by a hair

Luigi: “ so after that, we just kind of started talking more and more sense we seemed to be on the sideline together a lot”

Luigi refuses to give more details, they don’t need to know about the copious amounts of time that the reptilian caused him to blush

Or about all of the flirty comments and what if scenarios that would slip into their conversation

Anyways, (I got a bit side tract sorry) by the end of the conversation that Bowser should sign a peace treaty with a Mushroom, Kingdom and Sahara desert that would lead Bowser in to doing charity work

Princess, peach and daisy were hoping for a an alliance(tho hopes were low) while Mario was hoping for Bowser to stick with his pride for once, since the Koopa king would never!!! Do charity work

 luigi on the other hand was sweating profusely as he hoped that Bowser would pass this trial that will allow them to be happy and open together 

Soon they will see who gets there wishes

King Boo starts messing with Bowser and tries to take over his kingdom. So Bowser gets recommended a great ghost hunter whos beat the dead king three times already.

Oops it’s Luigi. Queue ghost hunting adventure with Bowser and Luigi. Bowser is leading the way around the castle (though his minions are all either overshadowed or just taken) so Luigi is there fighting them off. Bowser constantly is impressed but the scaredy cat Mario brother. How is he even doing this while still shakin in his boots. Bowser doesn’t get it. Maybe he can learn to respect it though.

Bowuigi Idea Dump

Some Bowuigi ideas I've had in my head but not enough motivation to really flesh out:

Princess Peach isn't a princess at all, just a girl in a small village. Mario and Luigi live in the same village. Peach is supposed to be offered to the fae king or some other deity as a sacrifice, but Luigi sacrifices himself to take her place. He gets dumped into a lake, as per the sacrifice, and is transported to the Dark Land via a pipe at the bottom of the lake. There, he meets Bowser, who either is the fae king but people just got his lore wrong or killed the fae king a long time ago. Maybe he keeps the ritual around because he's bored or lonely? Or he's just as surprised to find Luigi there as Luigi is to find him. Cue Mario trying to get his brother back, and Luigi and Bowser falling in love. Based on this prompt.

After countless rejections from Princess Peach, Bowser wished for someone to love him, and he got an egg. However, the condition for the egg to hatch was truly loving someone else. Maybe Beauty and the Beast Bowuigi?

Princess Peach has had enough of Bowser and forces him to sign a treaty and do a rehabilitation program to be a good guy. (Maybe he has to wear a collar that doesn't allow him to harm others?) Basically this episode of Spongebob. But Luigi is the one doing the rehabilitating because he's just that nice of a guy. (Really, Peach doesn't want to be around her captor, and Mario would kill Bowser if he could. So sweet Luigi is their best bet.)

Bowser gets invited to a Super Smash Bros. reunion party but he doesn't want to go alone. So he hires Luigi to be his plus one. Or they just bond by finding each other alone at the party.

Darker world where someone captures Bowser Jr. and sells him off as a slave or pet. Shy Guy version of Luigi finds him and tries to take Jr. to an orphanage, but Jr. demands he be brought back to his papa. The two bond. Then Bowser hires Luigi as a bodyguard for his son full time.

...the problem is, it doesn't really... fit any of the prompts that well LMAOO maybe Cozy? since Junior looks pretty cozy? IDDKKK

Aaaanyway, PI!Luigi babysitting his Nephew while talking with Bowser (this being waaay before they actually realized they were romantic towards eachother and not just BFFs)

Kamek, Boorista, and Bootender already kinda figured it out though. at the very least, their annoyed by how often the two talk to eachother even when their not in the same place.

Junior is just having fun looking at the pretty trees.

So just had a thought that Bowuigi not only means Luigi is dad to the Koopalings but also Uncle Mario.

Mario suddenly being uncle to the 8 Koopalings and having to babysit them.

Just an entire game where Luigi and Bowser are heading on a retreat and Mario has to watch the kids, with Bowser threatening to destroy him if anything happens to his kids (It’s the first Mario’s actually been scared of him)

The first moment Mario turns his back the 8 kids disappear... the entire game is just him finding the kids, 8 worlds 1 kid in each world and he has to drag all the ones he’s found with him.

Mario fighting giant piranha plant while trying to make sure none of the Koopalings get eaten.

At the end Mario is exhausted...and the kids all want him to babysit them again

extra info:

luigi is scared of bugs but the bees are pretty friendly so he’s anxious but overall fine with them

at one point a bee waves at him on a flower (maybe they fell asleep in one) and he waves back; probably one of bowser’s kids

mostly thinking about bowser’s army in a natural hive but i can also see him getting a crush on gardener luigi if like, the old one gets attacked and luigi also takes up bee keeping/ saves them from predators idk

bowser uses either a mini or bee mushroom power up while luigi’s not looking and kidnaps him

Luigi could tell he was being followed, walking down a dark and empty street, he knew it wasn’t just his paranoia

His heart is beating so fast, he barely works up the courage to look behind him, and that’s when he finally sees the man

Wearing a black hoodie and jeans, he was staring directly at Luigi with a mean glare. He didn’t even look away as Luigi made eye contact with him.

The man was only a few feet behind him, he started to speed up, getting closer to Luigi.

Luigi could feel alarms going off in his body, a cold sweat overcoming him as his fight or flight kicks in to full drive.

Luigi ran, he ran as fast as his legs could take him. To his horror he could hear the pounding footsteps of the man running after him.

His mind went blank as he ran forward, distantly he could see a open shop, seemed like a bar.

It was the only building that was open on this street.

Luigi ran as fast as he could towards it.

There was a group of people outside, some big guys Luigi would never dare to even look at. But Luigi wasn’t thinking.

The closest one to him was also the biggest, some guy in a leather jacket, adorned with metal spikes. His hair must’ve been dyed red because Luigi would never believe it was natural. He wasn’t exactly standing alone, there were people near him, but none of them seemed to be talking to or even at him.

Luigi took a chance.

He ran over, not full in his right mind as he took his hand and whispered as loud as he could

“I’m being followed”

Bowser never really liked these bars, his friends would drag him to them once every blue moon but they were always so boring.

There was only so much standing and drinking he could do before he lost his mind.

Now, as the night was coming to a close, he stood outside with a few of those exact friends, some where waiting for their Ubers and bowser wanted to make sure they got home safe, him being the least intoxicated

Well actually, bowser didn’t drink at all, some stupid medical condition he developed after a few crazy years in college.

He huffed, sipping at a glass of soda as he mindlessly listened to his drunk friends ramble.

Bowser didn’t hear him approach before he felt someone roughly grab his hand, they held on tightly and bowser could see how hard they were shaking. They looked terrified.

Bowser just stared at them as they worked up the courage to say something.

He spoke quietly, barely a whisper, but bowser still felt a chill down his spine when they said their grievances

“I’m being followed” they held his hand tightly as they glanced down the street.

Bowser could see him, the man.

He had stopped running, clearly breathing heavily as he just stood there, staring.

Bowser set his drink down on a near by ledge, before pulling the shaking man close to his chest.

He looked about five steps away from a panic attack, trembling with wide eyes.

“What’s your name?” He asked trying to figure out what he should do

“L-Luigi” he struggled to speak over how intensely he was shaking, bowser placed a hand on his shoulder

“Well Luigi, let me take you home” he looked away from the man, still standing halfway down the street to look at the man in his arms

He had dark brown hair, wore a green shirt and a cardigan.

Luigi glanced up towards him, and bowser nearly stopped breathing. His eyes, they were bright blue, they looked like jewels. He’d never seen anything like it.

They were gorgeous.

Bowser blinked as he watched Luigi’s lip twitch, he seemed about to cry. Bowser didn’t want that at all.

“Is that okay?” He followed, worried he had made himself seem dangerous.

But Luigi nodded his head, stepping closer to bowser as the man tilted his head. It was eerie, how he hadn’t tried to move closer to them, but didn’t leave.

Bowser lived close by, just a street over, which is mostly why he hadn’t gotten himself an Uber.

“My house isn’t far from here, do you mind if we go there?”

Luigi shook his head and bowser immediately started walking with Luigi right in front of him.

His friends were too drunk to even notice him leaving.

Coma dream/SAO type au

Coma dream

Luigi (and possibly Mario if you wanted to add him to the mix) has gotten everything he wants. A loving husband, great kids and a kingdom of people who adore him. Then one day during a fight with king boo, he wakes up in a hospital bed in Brooklyn to his family yelling cries of relief.

He'd been in a coma for years apparently, after an accident happened on their plumbing job. The timeline is the exact same as his time in Bowser's world which makes him question weather any of it really happened or it was all a Dream? he tries so hard to convince himself that dream was all it was, But there are signs that it wasn't just a dream:

He still has thunderhand, he's tougher than any human should be, stronger too. The bite mark from Bowser is still on his shoulder. He tries to tell his family but of course they don't believe him.

It all comes to head and Luigi runs off right as Bowser who has been freaking the fuck out about what happened to his husband arrives in Brooklyn looking for him, causing a massive panic.

Wonderful reunion ensues.

SAO Type au

King boo wants to play a game, so he plucks the souls of every player from a new full dive vr game that he created and drops them into his world. The players can go anywhere in this world they want, but the only way home is threw the tower of heaven type death dungeon he's created. No one who goes in comes out, and SAO rules still apply - die in the game, die IRL.

after hearing that, most players decide to make the most of their lives in the game world. Several fall in love, and even a few have children's.

Of course Boo finds this incredibly boring and unsatisfying so he pulls the remaining players and forces them to battle hoards of nigh unkillable monsters until only a few parties of players remain.

After an epic showdown, king Boo is defeated and their souls are returned to their body with all of the skills and knowledge they had during the game.

Form there both the players who returned home and the people they loved in the world they were forced to leave behind work to reunite while facing criticism and disbelief from their families in the 'real world.'
