A king's date.

Been re-teaching myself vector illustration for my old artstyle again! I had a lot of fun finishing this old piece :D

Below is the dirty sketch that I made 2 years ago. You can really see how outlandishly different my old Bowser was.

After rewatching Shrek 2, it’s amazing to see just how easy it would be to replace the Shrek characters in the dinner scene with Luigi, Bowser, Mario, and Peach.

Seriously, imagine with me on this:

The dinner scene would start off with Bowser being nervous at the dinner table while Mario’s giving him a death glare.

Luigi would ease Bowser’s nerves with an unintentional burp.

Peach would try to lighten the mood by asking Luigi about where he and Bowser lives.

Bowser would (unsuccessfully) try to impress Peach and Mario by explaining how cool the Dark Lands is.

Peach then tells Luigi that it’s a fine place to raise the children. (I'm going to assume that Luigi and Bowser will adopt the Koopalings in the sequel.)

Mario spits out his drink while Bowser chokes on his spoon.

And then Mario and Bowser would eventually get into an argument after Mario makes a snarky comment.

Here it is! The comic that inspired the old drawing I made! As you can see, the comic didn't had Bowser Jr. originally.

Also the lore behind this comic and the drawing are slightly different. In the comic Bowser and Luigi are already dating but it wasn't until months later Luigi finally told his brother about them. Of course, Mario got offended.

In the drawing, they aren't dating... yet. But of course Mario has an idea that maybe they might end up togehter and isn't too happy about it.

The old comic also was a rough sketch done in traditional instead of digital, so I took the initiaitve to clean it and make it even better.

We got a Friday the 13th event in our Bowuigi discord server, so I made this comic. I've always wanted to share my own take of Bowser's and Luigi's wedding. Enjoy these nine pages of bad luck and fluff :D
