Today I received an update from @qumjudetamale

Here’s what they said…

“Hi dear friend I hope you are doing well..

I need you help me and make a post so that reaches to your friends who helped us to donate on GoFundMe and show them what we did for the funds they donate.

as we need more, more help towards our survival.

We appreciate each and every fund rendered to us and we call upon more support towards our survival.

We managed to get some funds though they can't sustain us for long and that's why we call upon more support. We splitted the funds and some went to medication and the other went into food and charcoal.

Qum was able to remove the tooth and the antibiotics that will help to heal the wond. And the debt of pain relievers consumed when not paid before removing the tooth.

We were also able to buy some food that will sustain us and our fellows .”

In summary:

They have been able to purchase medication, food, charcoal and get Qum’s tooth removed. They’re very grateful, but they still need more help.

If you care at all about marginalized identities you cannot be quiet right now. Project 2025 will happen if trump is reelected, and it will be disastrous. Our identity is being used to fuel a culture war. Our right to happiness has become a political debate. I want to get married one day. I want access to healthcare. I want youth to be taught the truth. I want people of color to be safe. I want to LIVE. One of my friends was stabbed by a bunch of trans and homophobic kids on the way home from school. I've been told that my disability is karma for being queer. You need to wake the fuck up. This may be culture war, but it will still be our lives on the line. If you can vote, fucking do it. We can't sit around waiting for our perfect democratic candidate. We aren't going to get it right now. Pressuring the democrats to make radical change can come after the wood block isn't about to be yanked out from under our feet. Let's get the noose off our necks first.
