This week’s prompt is: What are your blogging/reading goals for the new year?

I never set a reading goal, on Goodreads or anywhere else, since I'm already competitive enough with myself when it comes to my reading. I'll end up setting smaller goals as they come up throughout the year, either through challenges or by choosing a longer/more intimidating book to tackle over a series of weeks or months. Having just experienced the crunch of trying to finish everything I started last year, it's a relief not to have anything too specific. There were things I let slide, so my goal right now is to read through the six NetGalley books I've had queued since June (currently on 4/6!), and the seven sequels I've had piled up for over a year. (We're just going to... *nudges the other sequel pile under the bed* Don’t look at me.)

As for blogging goals, I'd like to finally catch up on writing reviews (five) and posting reviews (eight), since I read a lot faster than I do either of those things. Ideally, I'd like to stay caught up and write reviews as I finish books, but I know the year will get busy at some point and I'll fall behind again. I'd also like to continue the pattern I set last year of participating in at least one TMST prompt and posting one Readalike a month. Finally, I'd really love to finish copying reviews to my independent blog, but that's an all-year project. I'm over 300 in and still have over 400 to go. 😅

I used to have a sticky wall and baskets full of fidget toys including at least fifty tiny cardboard cans of Play-Doh, a substance that I love with my whole heart but never got to play with because I was supposed to be running things. -25 notes and I will finish the audio book I was listening to

-50 notes and I will finish all the half finished drawings in my sketch book

-100 notes and I will actually start fallout 4

-200 notes and I will start writing again

-500 notes and I will start eating healthier

-1k notes and I will try to animate again

-5k notes and I will start to write a dnd campaign

-35k notes and I will ask out my crush to prom next year (UPDATE! so I'm dating my crush now, so I guess this isn't as much of a goal now)
