Steve wearing a ring Eddie gifts him as a joke (so he can be less prep/more cool) except Steve ends up wearing it all the time.

Something happens-- Eddie misplaces or otherwise forgets his rings one night, and ends up having to go about the day without them.

He's so used to spinning and fidgeting with them that he feels practically naked. Keeps touching his bare fingers and wincing.

Without asking and mid conversation with Robin, Steve offerings him not Steve's own ring, but his entire hand.

Just gives his hand over to Eddie, an intrusive thought he followed without sparing so much as a second to think it through.

(Eddie plays with the ring on Steve's finger anyway, trying not to blush about it, but very much needing the distraction. )

Robin calls them out about ten minutes in, asking why Steve didn't just take the ring off. 

“Oh. I didn't think about that. Sorry Eddie.” 

“Don't apologize man, this is better."

Steve nods like that makes perfect sense, and Eddie refuses to elaborate further.

Robin wants to choke them both because they're fucking romance-blind idiots.

i read all your "gruncle fidds" posts and noticed fidds's tate tattoo. love old men with meaningful tattoos. how is the relationship between them in this au? surely it has to be better than in canon...does tate think his dad is dating mr mystery?

basically, fiddleford is still divorced by emma may in the au because being an adulterous swinger is my favorite aspect of his character, so i had to keep it in. his relationship with tate is similar to canon in that tate came to gravity falls to be closer to him. however, since fidds didn't go fully insane in this au, they were actually able to bond and aren't estranged. they hang out and it's cool.

the best example i can think of to show how their relationship is in the au vs. canon is that fiddleford steals supplies from the tackle shop because he still has loose morals, and instead of spraying him with water and yelling at him to leave, tate is just like "man if you wanted to borrow stuff you could've just asked."

he has the tattoo because back while he was addicted to the memory gun, he forgot he even had a son and that moment kind of scared him straight. he got it so he wouldn't forget him again and goddamnit i need more loving father son relationships in my media okay??????

tate does think that his dad is dating stan because he told him that to keep him from getting suspicious.

he's chill about it.

I think Chaya Raichik (libsoftiktok) is such an interesting person in terms of being a public figure.

Being a stochastic terrorist is literally all she knows how to do. Her only skill is taking clips and photos of marginalized people and posting the information of them.

But if you ever see her outside the setting of Twitter. She is a fucking idiot, a dunce, a complete brainless fool. And I don't mean in it the way her ideology is stupid and has deep-seated contradictive stances and ideas. What I mean is that she probably doesn't have an ideology at all. She is brainlessly posting anti-LGBT and anti-woke content to stir the pot in the culture war.

Chaya in many interviews and when faced with any question of anything will bumble through simple thoughts. She cannot produce an original idea that hasn't come from the lexicon of the culture war Twitter sphere she is a part of. She has never explored a deeper reason why she hates lgbt people or why she thinks Americans should know less about the racist context their history had. Instead when asked what she intends to do. She just says the one-liners from boomer minion memes or whatever.

I would almost say the same thing about Matt Walsh. He's got no charisma and no skill in anything but he's more deliberately evil. He may be easy to squash in an interview but he can make very active and thought out choices that harms other people.

But omg he is so plain looking. He's got no flare in anything. The only noteworthy thing I can tell you about him is that he sounds like instead of using Listerine every night, he uses silt from the bog he lives in.
