Now that we know John's tier list of favorite people to cuddle with on the couch (Arthur, them Oscar, then Noel) can we get tier lists for the other guys?

ok ok Arthur’s is obviously John, then Oscar, then Noel. He didn’t used to be much of a touchy guy but after loosing his sight he’s gotten a lot more clingy (as he should)

You’d think I’d say Arthur is Oscar favorite to cuddle but it’s actually Noel (the others tie bc they both bring something different to cuddling that are equally admired). I like to thing they got really close when Arthur and John were gone, so Oscar finds a lot of comfort in Noel’s presence. they more so sit quietly with each other rather than cuddle, but Noel’s very chill compared to the other two so he enjoys the simplicity of it. sorry for rambling anyway the sillies

andddd Noel isn’t really a cuddly kinda guy, so he doesn’t seek out a lot of one on one cuddling with the others. he does however very much enjoy cuddling them all at once.

tbh what I ACTUALLY think about content warnings is that the author should not be the one writing them. I have encountered multiple stories where the events the author warned for were kind of bland and predictable, but there was stuff baked into the narrative that was really uncomfortable or disturbing and the author seems to have not considered that a problem at all. Becky Chambers’s fish scene STILL haunts me.

#Chambers is not warning for animal cruelty. Travelling Light is not warning for a flippant treatment of artifact theft and smuggling #This Planet Needs a Name is not warning for the deeply insidious colonialist attitudes #That one short story in the aro collection did not warn for the uncritical repetition of anti-Native American tropes applied to evil Orcs #We need someone besides the author to read/listen to this shit and go uhhhh #Like TO BE FAIR Chambers fid not write content warnings #But she said that she wrote a book where nothing in it could harm you #And ma’am You Failed At That

love this part of my life where the things that are difficult but challenging and good for me are things i can stop and skip and halfass, but the things that are difficult and painful and pointless are the things i have to live with no matter what

#school and home life are too much to handle so i skip school #because i cant kick my parents out #and appartments cost money #and i dont have a car to sleep in #i could maybe try to dig up my old childhood tent but that brings a whole host of logistic questions + im scared and it's difficult #anyway. it's fine. it's cool. i just have to hold on until i graduate high shcool and then ?????#find a way to live without my parents money OR scholarships #all for some nebulous end goal of having a job (the only field i'm interested in and good at offers two options:#to become an academic #or to become a freelancer #i do not have the fortitude to be an academic and being a freelancer is convoluted and pays like shit)#i might've spent 24h without my parents occasionally if i spent the night at a friend's place once or twice recently #but besides that the last time i've gone 48h without my parents was when the mental health center organised a week camp uhhhh...#two summers ago #incredibly good for my mental health as you can see #god i remember like... years ago. around 13yo maybe or 14. a guy. i dont know if he was a mental health professional or like social cases #but anyway he told me ''you're too afraid to be away from mommy and daddy'' and it made me want to rip his eyes out #several other people have implied or suggested that too over the years and it's just #am i too dependant on my parents? yes. will it be difficult to take my independance? yes.#does it means i don't both rationally recognize and feel that this is really fucking unhealthy and hindering for me #on top of being unpleasant?#FUCK NO #i want out my guy. there's just not many opportunities for an already mentally ill teenager #now that i'm eighteen i have to grapple with the logistical problems of the money needed and how to continue my education #and im sure a billion more if i start searching a little more seriously #perhaps i should kill myself that way i don't cost anyone any more money #broadcasting my misery #vent

also theyre all from CCCC cuz i havent had the chance to traverse into the other albums. i've been listening to the qhole album on repeat and it takes me time to Absorb new music and understand it and decide if i like it so its going slow. that and, i made my mum also obsessed with CJ and now i'm translating the lyrics of CCCC to turkish for her (the music isnt her style, but by god, the lyrics *absolutely* are). and then we sit down and discuss the lyrics i translate. it's like a book club except it's not a book and it's not a club and i havent been in a book club before ghis is all hearsay. UM. WHAT WAS I SAYING. OH yeah so as i'm taking time to translate and discuss the lyrics (it helps me with thw media analysis too!! ^-^ to like, sit down and discuss what we understand from it) it's going slow and we're like. if we're talking listening/absorbing music we've come to the uhhh the "do you want a banana" one and if we're talkinv translating, we've just finished translating Night. so! the reference pool isnt all somgs of CJ, it's from those. like. jsyk.

(i am so fucking surprised we dont have guys from that album. BUT to be fair we did have a New Guy Scare that turned out to be a false alarm. oh well)
