BUT it's not abusive to not want to be around someone or to avoid them, i'm sorry. shen jiu was hurt first, by his belief that yue qingyuan abandoned him to be abused or even killed, and as a result of that he stopped wanting to be around or talk to yqy unless he had to, and when he has to, as they're coworkers, he's very frostily polite and taciturn. he's not even mean to him!!! because he understands the dynamics of the sect and that yqy is the leader!!! he's just cold. even as disciples the only 'mean' things he says are that he doesn't want yqy to talk to him unless he gives him an explanation, and that he doesn't want to be called "xiao jiu" ever again. it might be harsh, but at the end of the day it's literally just him asserting his own boundaries, and yqy gets this bc as much as it may hurt him to hear it, he respects them! HE understands that if he's allowed to keep the boundary of not telling sj why he didn't come back, sj is also allowed to keep boundaries that keep yqy from interacting with him in an intimate or casual manner. somehow to the "remember shen jiu is to blame for all his own pain" people, this is cruel on sj's part, but sj being led to believe the one person who loved him actually never did and would happily leave him to rot as an abused slave is not cruel.

also we should remember that even when shen jiu is genuinely furious with yqy bc of the level of his hurt, he is not honest with himself about how he truly feels. he thinks once, as a teenager in probably the most painful moment of his life (and this is someone who has been abused every single way), that he'd rather find out yqy died than find out he became successful and happy and Chose to leave sj there. and he uses this momentary thought he had Once to remind himself over and over that he's inherently rotten and a bad person who just wants to drag yqy down and doesn't want to see him happy... yet on THREE occassions when he sees yqy in imminent harm, his immediate reaction is to jump in and save him (or attempt to) at the risk of his own life. when faced with the prospect of yqy dying because of his allegiance to sj, shen jiu doesn't display hatred or jealousy or revenge but accepts that his true feelings all along have been: he doesn't want yue qingyuan to die or suffer, especially not for him, he regrets meeting him only because he hates that he has had a negative effect on yqy's life, and he doesn't blame yue qingyuan for leaving him behind after all. shen jiu is outwardly cold to yue qingyuan but actually shows him a huge amount of love and loyalty. luo binghe, shen jiu's most obvious parallel in the story and the one commonly treated as 'better' than him (bingmei ver at least) lashes out and reacts with actual cruelty at shen yuan's perceived abandonment of him (when healing sy with the blood parasites i remember him purposefully causing him pain to try to torture answers out of him) but people will immediately jump to deny that he has ever or would ever abuse sy.

it was certainly a MOMENT and the "what are we" seems to be a big theme of the season as a whole and i love how it was handled.

peter was clearly glad to have her there even as he was worried for her, and rose tried to brush over him not calling her and say he didn't owe her a call at the same time she was obviously hurt, but he wouldn't let her dismiss it and made it clear he was sorry. they haven't talked in ten months so they weren't going to jump straight into romance right away, respected each other's boundaries at the same time they found it surprisingly easy to fall back into their emotional closeness as if no time had passed.

this is a relationship and i think they both know it and are committed to it, but the best part of romance is this gradual process of figuring things out and deciding to prioritize the other, and we already saw peter do it when he became a traitor to keep her safe (and how much she hates that he did that!!! bc it's so important to her that he's alright!!!) and now what we have left to see is rose deciding to commit to jumping into the fray of spy work herself or finding a way to pull him back to safety.

I genuinely think Tootie’s behavior towards Timmy would improve dramatically like. The second Vicky moves out of the family house. It’s clear that Vicky is severely inhibiting Tootie’s ability to have friends, much less have them come over and spend time with her. And it feels likely that the main reason her crush turned into an obsession is because Timmy had shown himself to be the only person willing to be nice to her. It doesn’t justify the way she acted, but let’s be real it’s not like she has good role models to teach her better.

I feel like once Vicky isn’t around to ruin her social life she’ll be able to have other friends over and like, have someone around to seek comfort in that isn’t her crush. She could actually start growing as a person. Which could happen as soon as like, 1-3 years after the events of the show?

I also really like the idea that even if she isn’t obsessed with Timmy, that Crimson Chin doll he gave her holds a special place in her heart because like. As a sentimental person I gotta be real something like that would never not be sweet to me. I’d thinking about it for years.

And I like to think because of that she eventually got into comics and began to obsess over those instead. Maybe Crimson Chin wasn’t her thing! But she seems to enjoy fantasies and I think it would be so fun to see her find her own interests. If we’re getting into specifics, I get the vibes that she would be into comics following heroes like Superman, or when villainesses get their own comics like Harley or Poison Ivy. Obviously not those exact characters but those are the vibes I get. Not to say I don’t think she wouldn’t still have girly interests and love romance and stuff but man.

Additionally. I fucking hate Tootie from the live action movies. They glorify her as hot and morally perfect while simultaneously treating how she was as a child as weird and ugly. Man people grow up and sometimes get less weird but like some people are just dorks. Tootie is a dork. Keep her as an overenthusiastic, emotional, glasses-wearing, strong-willed dork. You cowards. Women don’t need to be “perfect” to be accepted and loved.

If Tootie and Timmy did eventually get together, personally I think it would be good if Timmy just. Didn’t see her for a while. She gets more into spending time with actual friends, and doesn’t talk to Timmy as much until they meet up again a couple years later at an afterschool comic club/comic con, or something of that sort. I think she deserves to be her own person before she actually ends up with anyone.

And while I normally don’t like “ships” (I say that in quotes bc I don’t particularly feel compelled to ship these children at all) that involves a party who clearly isn’t interested… they’re also. Children. It’s not that serious. They really shouldn’t be together at this age anyway, and they probably will change as they get older.

It doesn’t feel that big of a deal to imagine Tootie and Timmy might be together as adults despite their current dynamic, because the main issues are:

a) Tootie doesn’t respect boundaries and is emotionally unstable, which are both likely caused by isolation, lack of good role models, and being too young to understand things. Very likely she grows out of it.

b) Timmy not liking her. Which, in the context of the early episodes about her, is actually something you could debate?

To clarify, he obviously isn’t interested in a romantic relationship most of the time, but at the same time he clearly has some care for her. The argument could be made that it is because of his fairies influencing him, yes, or it’s just pity. But like. There are episodes where he legit just does something because he wants her to be happy. And he indicates he doesn’t really dislike her or hate spending time with her. He, at least in theory, is actually willing to spend time with her. (“I would’ve gone to her dumb party if she’d invited me.”) That’s not even mentioning how he. Like. Just straight up chose to stick himself with a love arrow because he wanted to enjoy spending a Valentine’s Day with her. Which is a whole thing that could be analyzed but not the point.

If anything his actions point to a young boy who at the moment, only feels attraction through the lense of someone being “pretty” instead of someone they can genuinely get along with. He sees Tootie as weird and embodying the qualities boys find “icky” in girls. It would make sense if he grew out of that.

Although at the end of the day I don’t really care who these kids end up with, I JUST want Tootie to be able to have a happy and healthy social life/relationship with a partner when she grows up, and I hate the idea of completely stripping away her “not pretty” qualities before she’s allowed to have that. She’s a fucking lovely little girl who deserves to be herself, and to be weird, and to be happy. That’s my fucking daughter!!! I love her so much!!!

You had originally wanted to talk with your boyfriend (who’s not your boyfriend but everyone knows he’s your boyfriend) about what the hell you two even were. there would be days where you wouldn’t even get a text back, not a ‘hi sorry i’m busy’ or a ‘let’s talk later im in a training session with kirishima’ literally nothing.

You were fine with it, honestly. If he wouldn’t give you attention then there’s a whole campus of guys that would. It sounds terrible but you’ve learned that it is what it is and you’re on what he’s on. No way in hell would you ever beg for his attention.. at least not anymore. You looked good, you know you did. Tonight was supposed to be filled with good times and (bad decisions) fun memories. He said he was exhausted after hours of grueling training and that we’d talk tomorrow morning. So why is it that you see your boyfriend sitting on a couch outside the frat house with some girl whose name you don’t even know on his lap?

there was something about seeing him with another girl on his lap that made you want to crash the fuck out. sure you’d hear stories of him jumping from girl to girl while you two were on breaks. a break doesn’t mean you’re completely over, a break mean you two put a pause on your relationship. you still expected loyalty and trust but even that was wishful thinking. the girl was sat on his lap, arm around his neck, giving you a one over. she looked (in the nicest way possible) cheap and tacky. not because she wore the smallest dress known to man but because of the way she carried herself. she had a look of arrogance and a serious case of lash blindness. you were not a bully by any means. you got along with majority of the girls on campus, always gave out hero advice or fashion advice. you’d lend your lip gloss to girls you’d meet in bathrooms if they asked. you truly loved the feeling of having so many friends who can lean on you and vice versa.

But what you hated most were girls who thought that they were superior to others. ones that didn’t respect boundaries OR relationships. you hated this girl.

the smile fell off his face once he heard your voice, probably thinking that you were at the dorms in bed. “y/n, what the fuck are you doing here?” he has such a punchable face, fortunately for him you never believed in putting hands on your significant other. the audacity of him to question you when he was the one who lied? “what the fuck am I doing here? no, what the fuck are YOU doing here? you said you’d be asleep but you’re at a party and laid up with some girl on top of that? you have no right to question me.” you scoff, looking them up and down. you said you wouldn’t let this ruin your night and it won’t. if he wants to act single then you could too. momo and mina follow behind you, throwing dirty looks at both of them. “you ever heard of girl code? bakugo will drop you as soon as y/n calls his name.” momo says and drags mina inside. tonight you’re gonna let loose and let go.

Tip #2 ; Making a Good Impression!! now for this one i not saying you have to be the most outgoing person ever bc it can be overwhelming especially if you have social anxiety or you just have trouble with interacting!! but definitely being as polite as possible can definitely help you in the long run!!! ⭐️

Tip #3 ; Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself

now since you are new to the school you may or may not have to introduce yourself and ik how nerve racking this can be but doing a simple “Hi! I’m _” is really good if you don’t wish to speak then a simple smile and wave is also just as good!!!

Tip #4 ; Recruiting Friends!!

if you wanna be friends with a particular person try going up to them and saying hi to them also helping people with something is a way to get to know a person or having desk/table mates is like a gold mine for making friends with people !!!

if you can tell someone is a mean person stay away from them have little to no contact with this person its will save you all the energy and time because people like this can be extremely draining trust ik that!
