Although it would be very interesting to see Kwon and Tory maybe forming an enemies to friends subplot since both of them have that power of anger, and I very much would like to see jealous Robby for once

S4 Robby will always be my favorite when it comes to keenry, he values her and understand her well from that season

Yes! Sometimes I have to stop and remember that they are teenagers it’s just hilarious. Also Robby and Tory have zero chemistry, I literally cringe every time I see them on screen.

Same, I’ve always preferred them platonically. I kinda don’t like that they were paired up romantically, it felt forced to me

I’m gonna be a little vague but also not because you people are so boring and so shallow when it comes to media consumption it’s not shocking that film and show makers put minimal effort into making ANYTHING.

If you don’t properly pay attention or even make an effort to add nuance or context or whatever, of course people aren’t going to give proper writing beyond surface level drama because YOU DONT PAY ATTENTION TO ANYTHING ELSE. YOU CANT CONSUME MEDIA UNLESS THE MAIN CONFLICT IS ROMANCE CENTERED.

Dumbing this show, or any, down to a teen rom drama actually makes me wanna smash my head against the wall because, like I said, it is SUCH a shallow way to consume media. Now, of course there’s nothing wrong in wanting to ship things in shows you like! No, no! But literally WATERING AND DUMBING DOWN characters down to their relationships is BORING. ITS SHALLOW. ITS LAME. And I can’t even blame people for that because the writers pull the exact same shit. Cough cough Robby and Tory.

I haven’t seen an intelligent or creative take on this show in forever, it’s all the same repackaged shit and it’s honestly depressing. Watch shows and think for yourself and for the love of god THINK. CRITICALLY. God some of you need to sit down and read a book or something because not only are your attention spans fucking deep fried and burnt, your inability to take things beyond just surface level “good guy-bad guy” “I hope these two stay together” “ship endgame” is actually scary.

Half the time people don’t even acknowledge the insane dynamics in this show. I’ve only seen about 3 people point out the crazy parallels between Tory and sam, and even LESS when it comes to silver and kreese. And it’s the same with Yellowjackets fans saying they don’t care for the adult timeline THE TEEN STORY MAKES NO SENSE WITHOUT THE ADULTS. YOU JUST LIKE LOOKING AT YOUNGER HOT PEOPLE.

And you can’t even bring up any nuanced take because you’re constantly hit with “it’s not that deep” or “I don’t think it’s supposed to be that serious” like oh my god GET MEDIA LITERACY. PAY ATTENTION IN ENGLISH CLASS. I BEG OF YOU. You guys cannot take ANYTHING seriously it always needs to either be extremely shallow or it needs to in a jokey ironic way. You guys are not thinking critically and it’s WEIRD.

Your English teacher didn’t actually care about the damn blue curtains, they just wanted to make sure you’re able to have critical thinking skills when reading, watching, listening to ANYTHING. Especially if you’re doing it CONSTANTLY. But you clearly can’t it’s actually disturbing.

About Keenry and how the CK writers ruined one of the best relationships of the show...

I'll try to keep it short.

These are the reasons why I think Tory and Robby shouldn't be endgame in Cobra Kai anymore:

Their miscommunication will only lead them to more heartbreak.

Back in season 4 I became a fulltime Keenry shipper, especially after the Prom scenes. And the main reason was because we could see how they understood each other, talked things out and worried about the other... After the season 5 breakup nothing was the same for them anymore.

With Tory wanting to solve her problems always on her own and with Robby escaping and assuming things before talking with her properly... They made it pretty clear they have communication and trust problems. And I get it, they both have had hard lives. But I hoped that after they made up in the last episode of season 5, they both had learned their lessons...

Flash forward to season 6 and instead we had more of the same but a thousand times worse.

Their SECOND break up

Listen. I know many couples go on and off for years and then end up getting married anyways, especially when they started their relationship pretty young... But I don't think that's healthy at all.

If you feel the constant need to resort to a break up or pause to fix your problems then that probably means you don't actually go well with that person.

And that's fine. That doesn't mean one of the parts is a horrible person. Just means it doesn't work and even if it's hurting it will be for the best in the future.

And yeah, I think the same about Sam x Miguel in case you're wondering.

The "love triangles" they used to kind of made them up again

They really run out of ideas in the writing room. We already had the drama: Tory mom died and she had to fix her relationship with the Miyagi Dos. She could have been forced to fight Robby in the tournament because of the rules, not because she was angry at him.

Why did Robby had to go through literal SA with that freak of a girl while thinking his second girlfriend had also cheated with another guy??

Why did Tory had to be captain with a guy that was made to be just a cartoon villain instead of an actual companion? And why did she also had to experience watching the boy she loved kissing another girl for the second time??

Kwon and Zara were such a wasted potential it makes my blood boil. They had multiple time Taekwondo champions with really good acting skills and they just went with the psycho gang freak and the superficial jealous bitch (ahem, abuser). But that's for another post...

The solution to these "misunderstandings" was... Pushing their respective freaks to defend each other

I'm talking about Tory pushing Kwon in the hall and Robby throwing Zara like a potato bag during the brawl.

"You really choose her over me?"

"It's not even close"

WTF was that?? It wasn't a choice in the first place!! Robby was drunk to the point of unconsciousness. Who on earth wrote that?

And are Tory and Robby supposed to be back together just because he said that?

He also said: "I know you better than that. I shouldn't have let Kwon get into my head" Well........ Your actions didn't show, honey, you immediately accused her of hooking up with him during the last fight.

Kwon's death and its impact in both their lives

Even if they didn't like him and Kwon made things even more difficult between them, he was still a teen like them.

Look at Tory's face in the picture above. Do you think she can handle any more death after what she had to go through with her mother? Do you think she will be magically cured by the power of Robby's love and fight Zara to "get revenge" in part 3?? Please, don't.

Even if a year has passed between the Sekai Taikai and the new tournament, this kid is traumatised. I don't think she should be fighting at all for a long, long time.

Robby, I can see him fighting, but I'm really disappointed on how his character arc went... Yes, he has finally gotten over his second place complex and understood he is a good leader if he wants to... But I can't see how that can improve his relationship with Tory.

So, lastly, I hope this is what one of the CK creators meant when he posted that "some high school relationships last forever, other don't". It makes me sad if it has to be Keenry the one that doesn't end up being endgame. But at the same time is the only solution I see to this poor writing...

SHE WAS ELIMINATED FROM THE TOURNAMENT THAT SHE WAS IN FOR HER MOM! AND SHE HAS PROVEN MULTIPLE TIMES THAT SHES A GOOD PARTNER, BUT SHE CANT BE PERFECT ALL THE TIME MY GOD wait this is supposed to be a robby post anyways)

Soooo I don’t care for half those people and my daughter did win her trophy and get a big chance for a bright future but she was just an accessory to Johnny’s win because if she hadn’t decimated Zara (as she deserved tbh) Iron Dragons would have won.

Like the things I wanted happened: Cobra Kai winning, Tory being world champion and loved for who she is, Kim getting her dojang and her grandfather fucking off and Keenry endgame but I did not like HOW it happened.

Literally HOW did everything happen? Where are the much needed conversations? The kids dealing with their trauma? Tory and Robby getting back together? The aftermath of Kreese’s death?

It was a decent final but it felt rushed and incomplete and should be fixed immediately so y’all better get to write those fanfics

Ok I wasn't too mad, but I'm still pissed at some stuff.

WHAT WAS THAT? WHERE WAS THR PAYOFF OF KREESE DYING???

Like how that would affect Tory? Johnny? WHERE WAS THAT DO THEY EVEN KNOW????

Also, Tory and Kreese my beloveds I love you so so much and all of your scenes are so deep and heartfelt and my favorite ones it's beautiful I love you so so much my grandfather-granddaughter bond.

Keenry is endgame... I don't feel nothing. Them getting back together made me feel nothing. The I love you made me feel absolutely nothing. Which is not bad, I'm sure it was awesome for anyone who shipps them like I used to.

Loved seeing Zara get beaten, but damn choreography cause she was so fucking far and kick looks like it didn't even hit her but ok, we take a win.

I'm mad CK Korea dropped but I know why they did (was half glad Kim murdered her grandfather) and seeing them in the end was beautiful (Chozim endgame made me feel more than Keenry just so you know).

Yeah that's it, I'm kinda glad it's over, but I will miss this show so much.
