Yeah WHAT the FUCK was that???
Also if the writers don't give my boy a fucking break I swear-
Also like. Robby getting blackout drunk, Zara, sober, taking him back to her hotel room, kissing him, Robby saying he can’t he even remember what happened the next day. Not to be all “if the genders were reversed” but??? If the genders were reversed they would NOT have written that into the show. What the fuck

so was someone in the Cobra Kai writers room just like "hey how about we put in an unnecessary SA scene in this season, we haven't done that in a while, and let's not even acknowledge the fact that it was SA, let's just play it off as a normal hookup later" and everyone else just like cheered because yes that sounds absolutely amazing!
.... or what was the thought process there?

My thoughts on S6 Part 2 (Part 1 🤣)
Well it’s been a MINUTE but I am back after the release of S6 part 2. AND BOY do I have some thoughts which I will be discussing more and more over time. So here are some of my problems with the latest part, some of which centre around Robby as well as some that don’t. Also *DISCUSSION OF POTENTIAL SPOILERS AND LEAKS FOR PART 3 AHEAD*
- A major issue for me was Robby getting straight up SA’d which was completely glossed over and honestly I’m appalled. It’s not confirmed that Robby and Zara slept together but the implication is there. Robby was blackout drunk and therefore could not give consent and Zara took advantage of him. This isn’t the first instance of SA that has occurred on this show and the throw away nature with which this issue is treated is an irresponsible failure on the writers’ part.
- The writers didn’t truly give Robby his moment to shine. If part 3 is going to be Miguel’s and he’s going to win the Sekai Taikai which is looking pretty inevitable at this point due to some of the supposed leaks, part 2 should have been definitively Robby’s. But no. Naturally when something good happens in Robby’s life like him winning the ST captaincy fight, it is short lived and often snatched away from him just as quickly. I didn’t necessarily mind Robby struggling at first due to Tory switching sides. However the writers pushed it to the point of complete overkill. They kept lazily repeating the same old character beat that we saw in season 4- Robby gaining the upper hand before getting distracted and losing. That got old and boring real fast. Add to that Robby’s moment once again being overshadowed by Miguel performing well. They gave Robby ONE good fight in part 2 and even that went on to be immediately overshadowed and borderline discredited by his match with Axel. Long story short, I could nearly make my peace with Miguel winning in part 3 if the whole reason they’re competing in the finals in the first place is Robby. But if anything, Miguel shone more than Robby in part 2 and this will likely continue in part 3.
- Kwon’s death was no more than pure shock value and lazy writing. You could argue that Kwon’s death is a pivotal moment and a wake up call for the likes of Kreese and silver. Look at what happens when you take rivalries too far and corrupt teenagers. That is no doubt what the writers will frame it as. I just think it was too much and for what? The real reason the killed Kwon off is because of his rivalry with Robby. Part 2 was very obviously setting up Miguel and Axel’s rivalry which will be a big focus in part 3. Meanwhile Robby and Kwon’s rivalry was actually being fleshed out very nicely in part 2. Then, just as that rivalry was starting to really heat up and get really intriguing- they killed off Kwon. It’s fairly obvious that this is so they can give full attention to Miguel and Axel’s rivalry in part 3 without having to worry about further fleshing out Robby and Kwon’s rivalry. That would just be too much for them. In addition, Kwon’s death will facilitate Miguel’s ascension to captain. Johnny will retake Cobra Kai with Miguel as captain now that Kwon and the Korean Cobra Kai are out of the way. Johnny will do this with support of Kreese given that Johnny jumped in to save him and given that Kreese will have a change of heart due to Kwon’s death. Kwon’s death is a lazy end to his rivalry with Robby and a means of yet again facilitating Miguel at Robby’s expense.
- I actually quite like the idea of Miguel and Axel’s rivalry. I was excited to see that Miguel and Robby would be given new rivals (RIP to Robby’s though oh well). I just think that the way this rivalry came about was so forced and yet again lazy writing. Surely they can think of some way to give Miguel a rivalry without it always being over Sam? Why not just have him and Axel kind of single each other out and see each other as their main competition. I just wasn’t buying Axel having such an extreme vendetta against Miguel for…….. already dating Sam? A girl Axel has spoken to once and barely knows and now he’s acting like he’s borderline in love with her after one encounter. And I get it, Axel is being abused by his sensei and probably isn’t too used to positive attention but even so, again he hardly knows Sam. It’s just such an extreme reaction and in my opinion not really that believable.

You know, if the writers didn't want the Robby/Zara situation being portrayed as SA, they shouldn't have written a SA scene between them in the first place. Sucks to suck.

This Bitch SA Robby
This wasn't fling/hookup/one night stand. It was assault.
That's a fact
He was drunk, couldn't consent to what he was doing. He doesn't remember a thing.
But she does. She knew what she was doing and didn't care. She took advantage of him in his drunken state.
To the people who say it wasn't and that he got lucky cause you think she's hot, you people wouldn't be saying this if it was the other way around.
It's a double standard.

Zara SA’d Robby and that is a fact. If you want to argue this please do it somewhere else.
Zara has been interested in Robby since day one and has an obvious beef with Tory. The night Robby gets drunk Zara is in the bar the whole time watching him.
We have one character who has zero tolerance to alcohol drinking several strong alcoholic drinks. And we have a second character who is at the bar the whole time watching him drink and waits until he is alone to go up to him. That’s predatory behavior.
They walk back to the hotel so obviously Zara has plenty of time to see just how drunk Robby is, not that it stopped her. They then go back to her room and it is heavily implied that they have sex.
We might not know exactly what happened but I think anyone who thinks Zara didn’t do something is lying to themself, she’s not shown to be a good person at any point and the idea that she would let Robby just sleep in her room is ridiculous. If they didn’t do something she likely wouldn’t have helped him back to the hotel at all and if you’re trying to justify it as some act of kindness she could’ve easily gotten one of Robby’s teammates or coaches to help him. She could’ve gone to Demetri and Hawk who were still in the bar but she didn’t because she wasn’t trying to help.
And we know Robby was too drunk to consent considering he was too drunk to remember and Zara obviously doesn’t find anything wrong with this fact. She acts entertained by Robby’s confusion and doesn’t fill him in, as long as she remembers everything is fine.
She kisses him, again I think it would be ridiculous to assume that was their first kiss, and he walks away looking pretty horrible. Even the kiss we do see I wouldn’t really consider consensual, Robby is basically unresponsive and his expression when he turns around is not happy.
Robby tries to bring up his concerns and how sick he feels but she just brushes him off and kisses him again. Everything Zara does in that episode is calculated and manipulative, there really isn’t another way to spin it.
And if this doesn’t bother you because Zara is a girl and Robby is a guy or because Zara is pretty or because there isn’t enough evidence I genuinely don’t know what to say.

I just really want to know what the fuck was going through these writers’ heads, because the entire Robby/Zara situation is just bizarre. They make a point of re-establishing Robby does not drink, and then they show him having multiple, strong alcoholic drinks he would have zero tolerance for. They show him being so drunk he is unable to talk and barely able to stand. They show him sit back down and continue drinking. They show Zara eyeing this entire situation, and approaching him. Then they flash forward to the next morning, and Robby stumbles out of Zara’s hotel room. He says he can’t remember what happened. Zara kisses him and he stands there unmoving and unresponsive. He stumbles away confused and dazed and sad.
Like. There is not any ambiguity in what happened here. There is no world in which any of what they depicted qualifies as a consensual interaction, and they went out of their way to show that it wasn’t. But then they just…turn around and blame Robby for it and call it cheating. So why did they even bother? If they wanted Robby to cheat on Tory, they could have had him unambiguously cheat on her. They could have had him sober and knowingly go home with Zara. They could have shown them being both tipsy but not wasted going back to the hotel together. They could have had Zara just kiss him at the bar where Tory could see it. They had so many other avenues if they really wanted to have Tory/Robby “cheating” drama, so why did they do this? The only explanation I can think of is that they didn’t want to completely vilify Robby, so as an out they had Zara take advantage of him. But then that means they know unequivocally it was sexual assault and still knowingly chose to a) include it and b) frame it as anything but. Which is maybe even worse.

oh and zara took advantage of robby. plain and simple. robby didn’t just have one drink, he had MULTIPLE and drank all night. zara (who is SOBER) literally came in, and took him up to her hotel room, reminders robby is drunk out of his mind.
when robby wakes up, he has no recollection of what happened the night before because he was so out of it. but SHE does. im already seeing people downplay it as ‘it’s fine cause zara is beautiful’
it’s quite literally not fucking fine? i don’t wanna have to do the ‘roles were reversed’ type thing, but imma do it here. if the roles were reversed everyone would be SCREAMING saying how it’s wrong and how it’s SA. and how she was taken advantage of.
so WHY the FUCK is so many people downplaying it as if it was nothing? i don’t wanna hear ‘it’s just a tv show’ yes, a tv show were a main character was taken advantage of.
fuck zara and anyone who likes her i don’t care.
part 3: tory nichols, my bear. i need you to knock zara’s head off. matter of fact kwon should’ve took zara weird ass with him!! poor robby man :(
and loser ass people not taking is seriously? robby you deserve so much better. i love you forever. 🧸💗

It was fucking rape. That's my fucking point of view.
What do you mean he liked it? What do you mean it was cheating? What do you mean I like her?
It was rape, there is no other interpretation other than rape.
Robby lived with two addicts and yet he was abandoned in a bar with free access to alcohol, and that's where it started.
He got drunk for the first time, he drank for the first time and he has no resistance to alcohol because he stays away as best he can for the simple fact that his parents were addicts who never cared about him. So he wanted to forget what was happening, to repress all of this and he turned to alcohol because where else would he go when everyone didn't give a damn about him, or his situation with Tory or his emotions? Where else was he supposed to go when his example of dealing with emotions is aggression and addiction? So he drank. He drank to a level where he couldn't formulate a response, a sentence, when Kwon came to talk to him and provoke him, and we know that if he was sober he would have done something. It was obvious on his own face listening to Kwon that he was spaced out, drunk, and then Zara approached him. And took him to her room, from where he came out the next morning. No memory of the night before, a headache, and still looking out of it, as we can see when she kissed him and he didn't even react to it. The level of alcohol this requires is the level of alcohol that prevents someone from giving consent.
— I barely remember last night
— Good thing I do
Can we see the exact connotation that something happened? That she actually took advantage of the boy who couldn't speak to give consent, who couldn't think to say no, who was too drunk for this to be acceptable? The fact that she shows no remorse whatsoever for this happening and yet kisses him again.
Besides the fact that the writers themselves are treating it like it's some kind of cheating with Tory, the characters themselves acting like he's not a vulnerable person being raped by someone who knows better?
I hate her and I hate the writers for making this like it's nothing. I don't want to be that girl, but being that girl, if the roles were reversed, would this be in the show? Would this be treated that way? Or would they actually treat it like the SA situation that it is?
From the beginning, you can see her interest in Robby - starting with that scene in the captains' photo shoot where she talks to Tory. She knows he's in a relationship. All those teasing scenes with Tory. Her taking advantage of Robby. Then the fight scene.
— You chose her over me?
Like, girl, what the fuck did you expect? He doesn't know you, he doesn't like you, you raped him and you're going after his girlfriend - the person he loves? How high is your ego to even consider that he would choose you? Axel's obsession with Sam I can understand more, although I still have my doubts. She was the first person to understand and see his situation with his sensei, she was friendly and he developed a protectiveness towards her. Although his attitude towards Miguel was wrong, he didn't rape Sam or act like a bitch towards her.
Iron Dragons and their obsession with the Miyagi-Do captains.
Zara Malik and the fact that she raped Robby Keene.

Robby: “I barely remember last night”
Zara: “Good thing I do”
Yeah that’s rape, you can’t consent while under the influence.
A sober person can actively take advantage of a drunk person. Which is exactly what she did.
