I was watching Sleeping Beauty (1959) again, it's probably my favorite Disney movie, and Aurora is my absolute favorite princess.

I just love that movie so much but something that always hits me is the love story, how beautiful it is. I know people think it was insta love but it wasn't, like the whole "seeing each other in their dreams" is a lot more than seeing just the body or idea of someone.

I heard this theory a while ago, credits to whoever created it, but it was about how the three fairies were the ones giving those dreams to both Aurora and Phillip cause they needed to guarantee they were each other's true love so he could eventually break the curse. So they did, and gave both dreams of each other, and they fell in love through their dreams.

But also when they first meet, they see each other awake, in real life, and it's so pure, it's so beautiful, how he knows her song because they sang before on the dream, how the lake reflection of them dancing is a parallel to the dream world, how they recognize each other from the dreams, and how they don't care about the obligations anymore, Phillip walks back on the betrothal, Aurora forgets about the rule of speaking with strangers, it's just such a beautiful love story.

This idea of falling in love in their dreams just hits me so much, idk why, I just think it is beautiful.

I wish one day I can write a couple similar to them, it's such a beautiful concept, and the execution back then was perfect.

Let's talk about the end of Round Six aka Squid Game

Spoilers alert

Ok I know people are mad at the writing, especially on Twitter, but I think some stuff made sense. Like people saying Gi-hun would talk to Dae-ho, maybe he would if his best friend hadn't been executed right in front of his eyes. The first two episodes, the whole time I believe Gi-hun is blaming himself for what happened, he knows it was his idea, but knowing Dae-ho not coming with more munitions could have helped, it makes him snap, he's acting on his own trauma and blame, and looking somewhere to place it.

Same with Dae-ho, he was acting "crazy" cause of his own guilt, and later fear of Gi-hun. He was also under the impression it was all his fault, and also looking somewhere else to blame it. (What I do think is bad writing is the fact we don't see Gi-hun remorseful after he kills Dae-ho).

Now onto the rest, I hated that they killed Hyun-ju, but I knew eventually she would die. The mother-son duo, that made sad cause she killed her own son, but he was getting weird, so I wasn't sad he was dead, more or so I was sad she was the one who had to kill him, and when she died I was almost crying. Also Jun-hee's death was so sad, and please tell me I wasn't the only one laughing at the circle giving her baby milk during the finalists feast. Poor circle guys, they do everything.

I was so pissed 100 got to the finals, Gi-hun is a much better person than me cause I would've gotten that dagger and killed him just for how annoyed I was at him. 333 was a bitch honestly, they never made me like him, but him in this season was particularly annoying.

I have no comment about No-eul and Gyeong-seok plot, it was honestly nice to see another "infiltrated guard", and seeing her kill that square guy was gold.

Ok, now onto the Jun-ho plot, was I mad it took FOREVER to get to the island? Yes, was I glad when he killed the captain? Also yes. I just wish their side was done better, but it wasn't all bad, he still is one of my favorite characters since S1, even though this season he did pretty much nothing.

Ok, bring the elephant in the room, Gi-hun and In-ho's "confrontation". I believe it was good, it's understandable In-ho would try to keep his real identity a secret, but I do wish Gi-hun found out about his connection to Jun-ho, I also like the flashbacks, of him killing all those guys, cause it shows the host always has a favorite, and when they believe they'll die they help. Again, I think it could've been a longer scene, with more talking and all, but it wasn't all bad.

The VIPs are cringe as always, however that's the thing, they're supposed to be like that, and we are them, the message of the first season was that we were the VIPs, and now well, knowing we had a reality show (a nasty one btw) and apparently will have a US version of the show... It's just showing what he intended, people are VIPs, we pay to see people competing in these games.

Gi-hun's death was honestly something I was imagining would happen, mostly cause I didn't think the creator would give a happy ending (I only found out his interview saying it wouldn't be happy after watching), but I imagined he would just let the games keep going, showing Gi-hun fought and still wasn't enough, cause the money always wins, and he fought bravely, so I wasn't too disappointed.

Overall, I think if it wasn't the actual last scene that's basically telling you, oh there will be a US version, it would have been a good ending. Solid 4 stars.

Heey, so I've been thinking, part of Lost and Found, my rewrite and a little one/two shot I'm planning, involves lore from Big Red and Edwin's family. Since I've only shared bits of it before and I don't feel like overexposing it in the story, here are how their families are in my mind/hc/stories.

Big Red

His name is Alexander Lewis. His brother (Little Red) is named Dylan. His parents aren't the worst but are really far from the best. Little Red is to their mom the famous "golden child", while Big Red is a scapegoat child, and their father doesn't try to go against their mom to help him out.

Even though he's the golden child, Dylan never held that over Alex, meaning they do have a mostly nice sibling relationship, even with the mom treating them differently.

While they were on different Dojos, they didn't fight at home since Alex knew his mom would blame him for everything, so they mainly ignored each other most of the time. Little Red didn't bring people to their place, since they usually met at the Larusso's, but Big Red would sometimes have Tory, Edwin, and Kyler over, and sometimes he joined them in stuff, but not much and usually against his will.

His mom doesn't like any of his friends (especially Kyler), and usually badmouths them in subtle ways and Big Red ignores her. He has a great relationship with Brandon (Tory's brother in case anyone forgot like the show did), being the first of her friends she introduced him to.

Edwin

Full name is Edwin Hicks. He is probably the only one in the modern CK core four (Tory, Big Red, Edwin, Kyler) (meaning back in the day, Rickenberger was the fourth) who has both loving and supportive parents.

His mom is a Social Services worker, who absolutely adores Big Red (and curses his mom) and was the one helping Tory build a case to get Brandon's custody in the future (none expected her mom to die so suddenly). Meanwhile, his dad and Kyler get along really well, and in many ways, he helped Kyler "grow up" and be less of an asshole, he also curses Kyler's dad.

Edwin has had a huge crush on Kyler for the biggest time since he joined the dojo, Tory and Red usually side eye that thinking Edwin deserves way better (he does deserve so much better), but they can't change his mind, at least Kyler is more normal/less annoying around Edwin.

Edwin's parents used to be friends with the Larussos for being the same events usually, but that kinda stopped after "Karate War" started, both feeling like it was better to stay out of it instead of joining in like Daniel and Amanda did.

They go a lot more to Edwin's house since there his parents won't be mad at them for breathing like Big Red's mom. He also has an awesome relationship with Brandon, being introduced a bit later, but he and Brandon just clicked the moment they met.

And last, some things both families share:

Both are kinda rich (think one level under the Larussos rich), living in Encino.

Both were not exactly explained or cared about the karate war

Both can see Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do have benefits and disadvantages and ultimately decided it was the teen's choice, not theirs.

Edwin's mom wasn't against Amanda trying to make Tory trust her, but she was against Amanda (and the Larussos) kinda holding that over Tory as some debt she owes them.

Red's mom's hatred for Red's friends comes from wanting him isolated so he can't leave the family even being treated badly

I feel like we don't talk enough about how Season 6 part 1 was like the best one of the bunch in every sense.

Ost? The best one from the whole season

Characters? All making sense (apart from MD in episode 5)

Today's race got me thinking

I'm changing my mind, Yoon is a Mercedes fan like Edwin and Kyler

Dude just wants peace (he is friends with two chaotic people he will have none)

I believe that as F1 fan, it's my duty to make every character I like to be also obsessed with it

That being said:

Tory and Big Red are huge Ferrari fans, to the point of ignoring karate war to watch a race.

Brandon always watched with Tory, but he doesn't understand much of it, he really likes Alpine for reasons he doesn't know and Tory struggles to understand.

Robby likes Red Bull (mostly to annoy Tory and the whole Red Bull x Ferrari aesthetic)

Edwin and Kyler don't watch much, so they like the classic aka Mercedes

Kenny and Devon just simply love McLaren for no apparent reason

Kwon Jae-Sung is also a McLaren fan, specifically HUGE Norris fan, but has a major soft spot that he hides from everyone for Ferrari (maybe cause of a certain blondie? Who knows).

Yoon Do-Jin is also a fan, and loves Alonso, which here means he's an Aston Martin fan right now. He will root for whatever team Alonso is in.
