Honestly why even bother making Jason afrolatino if you're not gonna write him as he is in canon when that's what actually'd make him work good rep for us.What i mean by this is

His ego is huge,he's super tough and an edgelord,has anger issues and brutal ass tactics and is a morally gray vigilante but he's ALSO a huge woman respecter to the point he thinks they're better than men,is extremely kind with a huge soft side and his exterior attitude and Red Hood are trauma responses that're framed as valid on his end so he's not the 'Scary Black Man' stereotype and with the exception of the vigilante part this is actually a pretty common personality type for irl black men-Important note that i don't fall under the attitude but i AM a black man(and woman)

He's been a huge nerd since he's debut in both meanings of it-He's a genius who was a star student in school and loves classical literature,theater and speaking articulately and poetically but just happens not to 24/7 since he's a comic book character,not a Shakespearen one

And his soft sunshine boy with hidden depths Robin self is a critical part of making him as black latino work-You can't go with the retcon of him as a mini thug because it's extremely dangerous stereotyping

Duke as his favorite brother-It's erasure with white gringo Jason but even worse and just stupid because both of them being black would it EVEN BETTER writing they're eachother's number one Batboy pick.Ain't no nigga picking Tim when the only other black guy in the factor is Right There and fuck ya aus,keep Jason white in them and leave afrolatino Jason out of your mess

He hasn't expressed a particular preference for girls he likes but HAS for the ones he dosen't and it's preppy perfect judgemental ones who try to 'tame' him so rip all y'all's white X Readers LMFAO.Worth noting that his canon girlfriends have been a half cambodian tomboy(Rose),an edgyptian butch(Artemis)and a darkskin black woman(Dana)and that he's actively rejected a white blonde girl on the basis of her being too normal(Isabel)and Kory post deblackification so i think it's obvious where his tastes lie

You CANNOT make him and Roy or Batcest a thing-I don't think i need to explain why pairing up a white man who knew an afrolatino since he was 14 and him grown with a daughter and putting him in incest is violently antiblack

Poverty is not inherently bad in black or latino characters and there was a point in canon where it was used as simply an element in Jason's story instead of demonization so use that edition.But making him a drunkard,a smoker or a sex fiend is 100% perpetuating stereotypes and he's canonically the opposite of all three so again,sometimes things that are canon are better

Him being tall and super jacked and intimidating looking can actually enchance it-He uses it to his advantage to get people he dosen't like to fuck off because they buy into the propaganda and gives him more deepness with the rest of his personality

This includes him being a real gamer and his neapolitan food addiction and your headcanons on his other tastes should follow their lead-His favorite characters should be black and latino ones(His favorite Marvel hero is Miles Morales,it's canon to ME),he should listen to black and latino artists,he should eat black and latino food and know how to make it for that matter,etc

Back to a Duke situation-You also can't make a white woman instead of Talia his adoptive mom for obvious reasons and imo if you're gonna make him and Stephanie besties,she should be black too for that black best friends and found siblings rep(She works as a black woman as much as he does a black man and i'll make a manifesto of that like i did him if asked).This applies to the Team Dad Jason take too in the sense that he should mentoring Damian and Nell and Tiffany since they're Batgirls instead of white kids

In summary what i'm trying to say is:If you're going to see Jason as an afrolatino man,you need to go beyond just the aesthetic and little bits you feel like including because you think they're appealing and actually write him as an afrolatino man,as Jason Todd and not some random guy

Fox witch Athena or Artemis.

Funny story, Athena and Artemis are exactly the same person with two different backstories. The thing is that, I wanted a character for DC and a character for the MCU, and I told myself, yeah, sure, write two backstories. So, Athena is also COD!Athena that is in my main and that's the main character of my fic.

So Artemis is the first name I wanted to give Athena but I fucked them up. When I made it for DC, I named her Artemis. I changed a few things to make her fit the new storyline, in which is her hair too, but Athena's hair is never constant so eh. And also the DID was only made for MCU Athena. So they have differences, but they're the same base

So they're the same, but not the same!

Also, both are fox witches, but Artemis would be more :D

Jason Todd's relathionship in my DC self-insert's verse for his birthday because i'd feel bad not making a post for him

Dick:They were close during the Robin and Discowing days but Dick dosen't take his shit as Red Hood so that allows them to actually repair their relathionship since Jason needs to not be coddled and Dick needs to be himself

Tim:Bros do NOT along but they do love eachother!!Just....less than they love literally everybody else lmao

Cass:Jason's stopped killing(with the exceptions of fascists and abusers)so they slowly settled into getting along for Stephanie's sake and now their relathionship is pretty good.They go out for Batburger and Dairy Super bi-monthly and Cass is the (Bat)man in charge

Duke:THEY'RE SO BROTHERS SOULMATES BY CHOICE IN EVERY UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!Duke is the 5th Robin and was officially adopted by Bruce when he was 11 and his Year One went well but then he got into a fight with him that scared him so badly he ran away in the dead of night and was found by Jason as the kickstarter to Rhato volume 2.There's official 18 Outlaws with a subset called The Kid Outlaws so he has friends his own age(including black friends!!)but Jason's the Outlaw he's closest to and Jason earned it by working his ass off to be his number one bro so Duke did his best to return the favor.Duke also stopped the N52 from happening with his powers and by in every universe and by choice,i mean fate is stacked against them but there's tons of Duke and Jason Variants across the DCverse who're just as connected as them

Stephanie:Transmasc4transfem found siblings fr fr.Stephanie is the fabled female-coded Jason Todd but actually and she's black like him(jamaican-korean to his afro-dominican)and they were both mentored and caretaken by Talia as Robin so that gives them even more reasons to be close on top of all their personality similarities and poor kid solidarity.They met during Batgirl 2009(66 issues)but didn't interact much until No Laws,Just Us(90s Young Justice,which Stephanie is a member of/The Cooler Rhato crossover mini)

Damian:Him and Stephanie are just a scrich behind Duke on 'Batkids Jason is closest to' and met when they were both sneaking into Summer's apartment at the same time during The Bird and The Dragon(Summer and Damian mini).They were forced not to fight by him and became close as time passed on and their size difference is frequently used for comedic gags,such as Damian sitting on Jason's shoulder to reach his food.Jason,Summer,Stephanie and Damian form up the 'Dead Sidekicks Force' as a moniker and a full on team title in an au run

Bruce:Very bittersweet as Jason decided to not move back to Gotham specifically to keep away from him for his own sake and bluntly told him that to his hurt but he understood where he was coming from so he let him go.They don't cut ties though,he still visits on holidays and say 'I love you' since they do and nothing could ever change that

Talia:They were intergenerational friends and that naturally led to them viewing eachother as mom and son so post-Lost Days,Talia manages to legally adopt Jason and he calls her 'Mamí'.Afrolatino/Brown cultural sharing abound because transracial adoption is beautiful and show helps out and even stays with The Outlaws sometimes from Taliacorp(reinvented Lexcorp,she took it over and turned it into a solarpunk chain in her own run)and in The Fortress,their base

Eddie:Childhood besties who got to see eachother regularly thanks to the inclusion of Summer,who's half Kryptofang(kryptonian dragon with the addition of telepathy),who flew himself and his two best friends to and inbetween Gotham,Metropolis and Hollywood with his wings.Eddie was Jason's bi awakening too,at 13 and them and Rose are the og Outlaws Trinity while them and Summer were The Magic Trio

Clark,Lois and Jon:Jason used to babysit Jon and grew up around Clark and Lois due to being best friends with the eldest Superkid(Summer)so they think of him as another kid of their's and nicknamed him 'Argonauta' and 'Curita' respectively because of his namesake.Obviously things were strained as of/post Utrh but they patched things up and he lives in Metropolis post-Rhato so he's kinda impossible to avoid(and vice versa!).Jon however never thought of him negatively due to his youth and they're eternally brotherisms

Rose:Instead of the weird vague ex-dating history we haven't expansion on in over a decade since it was established,Rose is SUMMER'S ex-girlfriend from his teenage dirtbag years and her and Jason are bitchy goth besties and supportive of eachother in everything no hesitation(even if the thing is bad and i mean for them,not vingilanteism)

Kyle:Another ex from Summer's sweet sixteen and kryptonian dancing queen(sorry LMFAO)days and he's been a Green Lantern since he was a teenager not for Jason's sake but because i think it makes him all the more interesting and tragic.Their dynamic is pretty much the same as in canon but longlasting and developed and explicitly attraction.Latino4Latino Jaykyle=The only valid Jaykyle

Artemis:Also starts off as a teenager in her debut for the same reasons as Kyle and her and Jason are again canon accurate because Outlaw!Artemis(which Kyle also is!!)was canon Rhato's only w but ambigious on wether it's romantic or platonic to the point of in-universe confusion from them so they settle on queerplatonic and find it fits and Jaysummtemis as in Jaysumm + qpp Jaytemis + Summtemis is real if you want it to be(*Jason voice*I love tall women)

Thad:That's his dad you bitch /ref /lh.Thad is one of the aformentioned Kid Outlaws and the Flashfam is black/white mixed because Candice Patton Iris >>>>>>>>>>>> and he has the relathionship with Jason people want from him and Mia but well-written and respectful of both characters.Goth punk audhd grumps duo!!

Raven:At the request and brilliant writing of my lil bro @bigblackeyesbitch,ressurected Raven is an Outlaw and they bounce off eachother comically even when she started off as an arc villain and are another m/f Outlaws qpp

Tam:Tam's an honorary Outlaw because my lil sib @insomniac-jay added her to one of my post's and it inspired me to add her to the cast to make up for her Red Robin 2009 fridging.Her and Jason are pretty much honorary siblings like we are🥰

Kory:Robin!Jason was a huge Starfire fanboy(and not a Wonder Woman fanboy because that hc's ooc and performative asf)so he freaked out when they met in a good way and Kory was flattered and amused and kept him as her lil cat.Jason is a Dickkory stan and says fuck Dickb*bs btw

Commander Trouble Kelp dropped his head to his desk. It had been one of those days.

When he was younger, those days mostly meant running around after a particularly crafty criminal, or at most getting hit hard enough to be sent to a warlock for recovery. Now, as Commander of LEP Recon, those days were filled with bureaucratic meetings, enough technobabble from an egocentric centaur to make your ears fall off, and yet another IA review.

He missed the days where he only worried about getting squashed by a Troll.

His personal communicator buzzed beside him. He tried to ignore it. Foaly had, for some reason, decided that it would be a good idea to release his personal number to a whole slew of reporters and paparazzi. Trouble was of half a mind to slash the tech-wizard's budget in half in retaliation.

Then his communicator buzzed again, and he made up his mind.

"What's taking so long?" a bright, cheery voice cut into his introspective complaints. He lifted his head to see Commodore Holly Short, her shock of auburn hair and wide smile poked in through his office door.

In spite of it all, Trouble felt a grin cross his face. Then he dropped back down. "I'm going to kill your friend," he grumbled. "I swear. This time I'm really going to do it."

As Holly laughed and sauntered over to his side, his communicator buzzed again. "What did he do this time?" she asked, casually running a hand through his short brown hair. His comm buzzed three more times in the time it took her to ask the question.

"I'm serious," Trouble said, lifting his head to look at her. "I'm going to-" his voice cut off when he realized that she wasn't looking at him anymore. Her fingers continued to trail idly through his hair, and the grin on her face had only widened, but now she was staring intently at his comm.

"Trouble," she said, picking the device up off the desk, "am I... am I your lockscreen?"

The young commander felt his cheeks turn red. "What?" he snapped immediately, his voice defensive. "No."

Holly turned on him a look that could freeze molten rock. "You may be able to lie to a lot of people, Trubs," she said tersely, "but I was never one of them." Then she turned his communicator so that he could see it. "So I'm going to ask you again, and I expect you to be honest this time. Am I your lockscreen?"

Trouble's cheeks heated further as he stared at the offending evidence - a beautiful picture he had snapped of her on one of their days off. She was wearing something casual and laughing, her head tossed back and her auburn hair had fallen back from her forehead. It was his favorite picture of her.

"You weren't supposed to see that," he finally answered.

Holly just laughed, the ice-cold expression on her face thawing and the smile sliding back into place on her lips. She bent down to kiss his forehead. "It's time for you to come home, Commander," she whispered with a twinkle in her eye. "I'll help you get back at Foaly for whatever he did in the morning."

She then grabbed his hand and pulled him out of his chair. For once, Trouble didn't mind being told what to do.

Clone Commander Fox was many things. He was a fighter. He was a leader. According to Stone he was a control freak.

Right now, Commander Fox was bored.

"You look like you're ready to kill something," a light voice hummed in his ear.

Fox turned sharply to the side, still unaccustomed to the playful attitude of his companion. She smiled and a quiet giggle escaped her lips as her golden eyes burned into his own.

"I'm fine," Fox said, clearing his throat uncomfortably. "Just... enjoying the party, Ma'am."

The young senator laughed again, leaning close enough to brush deliberately against his arm. Fox felt his skin rise as she drew her lips close enough to his ear to let her warm breath wash over his skin as she said, "First, I already told you to just call me Riyo tonight." Though her tone was somewhat reproachful, her eyes still sparkled with laughter. "And second, you promised you would be honest."

Fox took a deep breath. His instinct was to brush her off and try some other polite excuse... exactly what he did every time one of the Senators decided to descend to the lowly clones' level and speak to him for a moment. But one more look into Senator Chuchi's - Riyo's - bewitching eyes and his usual MO was out the window.

"I think that I'm too sober to be here," he answered more sincerely than he had meant to.

Riyo let out a real laugh this time, and for just a moment Fox allowed himself the luxury of imagining spending his entire life doing whatever it took to hear that sound over and over again. "You don't even drink, Fox," she said, resting a hand on his bicep to help support her as she continued to chuckle.

He turned his attention to the crowd around in order to hide the blush on his cheeks. Immediately he caught the sight of several Senators cavorting about and drunkenly cackling. "If you're going to keep dragging me to these things, I think I should start," he commented dryly.

Realizing what he had accidentally said, Fox couldn't help but shoot her a guilty sideways glance.

She was smiling up at him. Her azure eyebrows delicately arched, her eyes wide with an almost childlike delight. The faintest ghost of a smile graced her lips as she stared up at him.

"So, you plan to let me drag you to more of these?" she asked, her voice barely louder than a whisper.

Fox's cheeks burned. "I didn't say that."

"Yes you did," Riyo countered, her grin only widening. She glanced around quickly to ensure that no one was looking at them, then leaned up on her toes and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. "And I'm going to make you live up to it," she whispered before dropping back to her feet.

Fox shook his head ruefully. He was in trouble with this one, he just knew it.

And the worst part? He was going to love every minute of it.
