no literally same! i was really into hockey when i was little but i moved away from being able to see teams locally,,, now i’m getting back into it and i am Deep In It lmao. def in the same boat of ‘14 yr old me who loved going to local hockey games and was in the beginnings of fandom culture would NEVER guess i’d be head over heels for grownass NHLers ten years later’

as for the au i can honestly see this happening at any age butttt i’m probably going to set them around 25-26 because well. in my quarter life crisis era but im being soooo brave about it 😵‍💫🫠

im currently working on writing my first fics/ficlets and i just know i gotta start with kreidbanejad! one of my wips is a nonhockeyplayer au where mika works at the nypl, does a lot of the community programming, and kreids is an avid reader who finds out the library is actively being discouraged from displaying banned books/drawing attention to banned books in general!

something about kreids going all white knight unfortunately does something for my brain !! softspoken intelligent protector who’s also a big goof,,, my brain simply latches on to any character with aragorn (lotr) parallels
