hi! i know you've said King Asmodeus doesn't like birds, but what about roosters? most lore that discusses his appearance (i say most because i definetley haven't read all of it, so i can't say what all version say, you dig?) says he has the leg of a rooster. i guess my question is, does he have an exception for them?

Infernal blessings! I love how "Year Zero" by Ghost started playing right as I opened this, as King Asmodeus pushes through his outrage towards the Archangel who is with me. A few points: - The Ars Goetia is generally not treated as a central source by modern Demonolators and Occultists. The perspectives range from "repressed Christian fanfic" to metaphorical cryptic af tome and my person perspective is somewhere in the middle. Therefore when I am reading up on Demonology, I try to refer to the 3x Abrahamic faith texts, a vast variety of medieval texts, and articles about the aforementioned. - The appearances of the demons are not considered literal representations by modern Demonologists and Demonolators who have more than a few braincells to rub together. (King Asmodeus has informed me that he only tolerates his rather unpleasant portrayals in movies as they make it easier for the braindead sheep to weed themselves out). If taking the cryptic POV, you can treat the descriptions (and much of the contents of the Ars Goetia) as code. Asmodeus being the lord of layers would very much vibe with this. If taking the fanfic perspective, equally valid is that these grotesque descriptions are also slanderous anti-pagan propaganda. E.g. Astaroth being a horrific caricature of Astarte. Now if we return to the whole metaphor and layered meaning route, the animal descriptions of demons also represent their characteristics. Similar to how the Egyptian Gods (also listed/considered as demons) were often portrayed with animal heads, representing their characteristics while also providing a shorthand method of identifying said gods in Egyptian art. Therefore, you would be looking at the meaning behind the animals attributed towards each demon. Especially ex-Celestials such as King Asmodeus. Of course, UPG experiences are a variable and sometimes a Demon might go against some of their know lore for reasons known only to the Demon and the practitioner. Quite often, when you research said UPG experiences, you will actually uncover interesting little exceptions to theological canon. In my case, I was surprised to have peacocks as one of King Asmodeus' sings however, as per this linked post: He is usually portrayed as having three heads, those of an ogre, a ram, and a bull, all sexually licentious creatures; having the feet of a cock, another sexually aggressive creature; and having wings and the tail of a SERPENT. He rides on a dragon and breathes fire.

And Peacocks are such a creature. Does that means he likes birds and peacocks? No. However I have noticed that even his allowing of others to describe him as having "cock's feet" (the Rooster reference), as well as my UPG experience with Peacocks and Penguins, he appears to have a tolerance for flightless birds. This is likely due to his recorded hatred of birds being because they "remind him of God" and to quote the Comedian Daniel Sloss in his Peacock skit that King Asmodeus showed me:

Nothing reduces your anxiety more than 200 new pairs of eyes.

King Asmodeus (a patron of artists and performers mind you) is very much taking a deliberate jab at Celestials with this take, and his use of Peacocks due to their association with sexual passion is very much an act of perversion of the holy divine. Finally, just on the whole taking the Ars Goetia seriously matter, King Asmodeus has brought my attention to another Daniel Sloss quote:

���Jesus fucking Christ. Have some self-respect. You're a full-grown biological, statistical anomaly that has cognitive thought standing on a rock that's hurtling through an infinite universe, could you stop being so fucking basic, please?”

King Asmodeus has had a gutful of the "intellectually banal" (his term) lately. in fact, this UPG experience was after a rather long rant he gave me over people who fall for "Christian-Lite new age snake oil bullshit such as 'parasitic entities'" (and there's that bile taste again whenever he's gets going). I won't talk further on that in case he goes on another tirade, but you get the idea. saw someone accusing Stella of the Ars Geotia of having "no personality" (in some sort of smug vivzie critical general statement) while "redesigning" her as a soft mom archetype.

Firstly, "a Mom is not allowed to be a Bitch, I've redesigned her to be Soft and Nurturing instead. I have fixed what obviously must have been a mistake. I am very smart." is not the introduction of complexity you think it is.

Secondly, just because you don't LIKE her personality doesn't mean she doesn't HAVE one. she HAS a VERY STRONG personality, it's just BAD! And I, for one, support women's wrongs!

In regards to crossovers. I’ve come across two crossovers in Hazbin that I’m pretty interested in. One is a Naruto crossover which is interesting to say the least, where Kakashi ends up in hell.

The other is a cult of the lamb crossover however the timeline and fic is so far off canon.

Anyway also wanted to tell you I love your writing and the newest chapter is fantastic. Lucifer losing his absolute shit is amazing and the way you write Alastors fear was awesome. However the ending notes about how he’s not gonna learn to not poke the sleeping bear is something I look forward to as well.

Oh, and the flirting between angel and husk is absolutely adorable.

It's a shame I haven't seen either Naruto or Cult of the Lamb. Hazbin Hotel crossovers must be insane tho. I'm intrigued.

Awww thank you 🥺 I love it when Lucifer displays how powerful he is. And how intimidating and scary he can be (¬‿¬) It butters my biscuit. It's the best.

I LOVE exploring Alastor's more vulnerable human side. He works so hard to look like this big, strong, powerful Overlord - and, granted he is. He may not be as powerful as the Ars Geotia, Deadly Sins, or the royal family, but he is a threat in his own right, particularly in Pentagram City where the sinners are kept. The Pride Ring is essentially all of the sinner's entire world, and given that Alastor's a bigshot in this world that he resides in, yeah, I figure it would be intimidating and threatening to have other, more powerful figureheads intrude on it LOL

Anyway, he works to hard to maintain that image, that when it cracks, especially around others, it is just 😩👌 it's so good. That is my type of angst, right there.

Even after his and Lucifer's little skirmish in this last chapter, he's definitely going to be poking the bear. He's too stubborn, spiteful, and full of pride to not to.

SILVIA

Little bit of role, relationships with some characters, and all that jazz:

Silvia died in the 1960's from being strangled to death. She lived in Russia and I designed her to be somewhat similar to a siren. She is an overlord of Hell. Though she is a siren, she doesn't really deal with water. She, instead, mainly deals with singing and dancing (I decided to give her only a little water powers but her specialty singing and dancing. Look at my previous post.) Also, I'll post her demon form at some point.

She has a pretty good relationships with her fellow overlords like Carmilla Carmine, Rosie, Zestial, along with a few others. She does make fun of Alastor sometimes and genuinely hates Vox. ( Silvia and Alastor team up sometimes on messing with Vox.) She also DOESN'T get along with Velvet. Valentino isn't a big fan of Silvia's either because he offered her a contract when she first arrived in Hell but she declined and ended up being as successful and feared as some of the most powerful demons in Hell.

Silvia is pretty good friends with the Ars Geotias, especially Stolas since he was the one that panicked to Silvia about an 'incident' with a certain imp( we all know who), she's also doesn't really mess with Stella but does call her, the damned princess. Silvia is not on the best of terms with Mammon since the same thing with Valentino happened between Mammon and Silvia, just a little bit different. She is pretty ok with Asmodeus and didn't judge him for loving Fizzorali.

This tarot deck is inspired by the demons that King Solomon is rumored to have controlled. The visual designs of the demons are based on their written descriptions in the book called Ars Goetia. My interest in this topic started with another project that I undertook the visual design between 2018-2020. For this project in question, I only needed to design 32 of the demons. However, later this topic caught my attention more and I came up with the idea of turning all 72 demons in Ars Geotia into a tarot deck. this is actually so relevant bc the lab report I’m writing is about a study I did on tattoos. my unpopular opinion at least for our generation is that what you tattoo on your body does matter. it has a magical/energetic affect on your aura and can influence not only how others react to you but also your own personality and behavior.

Hey lucifer back when hell was in its infancy and it wasn't as super populated did you ever try your hand at making your own hellborn like the other sins?

I get you had sinners and I guess the goetia but back in the begin when the others started making hellborn you must have toyed with the idea.

Afterall your the only sin who doesn't have hellborn species.

(I think helluva boss has show at this point that all the rings baring pride have unique hellborn, wrath has imps,gluttony has hellhounds, sloth seems to have goat demons like the doctor we say at loonas checkup, greed has freaky clown demons that we've seen in the background sometimes, lust has succubi and envy seems to have fish demons like the twins and maybe the con eldritch family)
