HAPPY🎃HALLOWEEN
Tumblr media
I lied, I might do lineless art more often than I thought BUT UHH HAPPY HALLOWEEN GUYS!! Man do I love these silly creatures, I wasn’t at all expecting to like Little My so much
Additional rant under the cut
Ok so before I started looking into the Moomin franchise, shipping and romance was not at all what I was into until I saw Snufkin and Moomintroll’s relationship. Like- it’s so damn cute?? And angsty??? But unfortunately it never sailed in any official piece of media (at least, not that I’m aware of). WHICH BRINGS TO MY NEXT POINT: I usually avoid shipping non-canon couples (again, not the type of thing I usually do) BUT THIS??? I CRY SM OVER THEM 😭
Also, like many other series I fixated on, I got interested in it by seeing out of context stuff. At first I wasn’t a big fan of Little My but I decided to start Moominvalley anyways. Long story short, Little My’s in 1st place, squeezing herself on the podium with Snufkin
Rn, I’m almost halfway in S3 of Moominvalley and at the beginning of the 90s anime. I also really want to watch the Fuzzy Felt vers but I’m having a hard time finding it. I’ll eventually get into the books and comic strips (honestly: I’m reading Moomin in November, fully aware it’s the last book of the series)

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"
And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.
Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?
It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

I think that one thing people fail to understand is that unsolicited literary criticism coming from an online stranger who is reading with no knowledge of what the authors intended goal is, is not going to be received the same as say: the authors beta reader or friends who know what the authors intended goal and has the sufficient knowledge and input to help the author reach that desired outcome.
"But I'm only trying to be helpful" How do I know you have the knowledge and literary skill for you to be able to actaully do that when we don't know each other and you are essentially a stranger to me? Are you applying this criticism based out of personal biased experience and desire to see the story or characterization be driven in another direction or tweaked, or do you know the author's intentions for the character? If the story is incomplete, are you basing your criticism of a character on the incomplete narration with only partial information available of them or are you building up a report until the story's completion? Did the author provide you with the information needed to make a fully informed criticism?
Have you discussed with the author what their plans are or are you assuming them based off the narration, especially if the narration is proven or implied to be unreliable or missing key points of the plot? Are you unbiased enough to help them reach their desired outcome for the characters and story regardless of your personal feelings towards the characters/antagonists and setting? Can you handle being told your specific input isn't wanted because you're a reader and/or have no written anything relating to their genre or topic? Do you understand and respect that the author's personal experiences might influence their writing and make it different than how you would have done it personally? Do you understand if an author only wants input from a specific demographic relating to their story?
If it's for fanfiction or other hobby media, are you holding a free hobby to a professional standard? Are you trying to give criticism because you feel like the author has produced 'subpar job performance' of their fic? Are you viewing their work as a personal intimate outlet or something that must conform with mass media? Are you applying rules and guidelines when the fic is shared for simple sharing sake? Is your criticism worded appropriately and focused on the parts where the author has requested input on rather than a general dismissal and or disapproval?
Have you put yourself in a place where you assumed you have the input needed for the story to evolve better, or have you asked what the author needs and what they're having trouble with? Can you handle having your criticism rejected if the author decides their story doesn't need the change and not take it as a personal offense against your character? Are you crossing that boundary because you think you are doing the author a favor? Are you trying to be helpful, or do you just want to be?
I think sometimes when people hear authors go 'please don't give me unsolicited writing advice or criticism' they automatically chalk it up to 'this author doesn't want ANY constructive feedback on their stuff at all' and not "i already have trusted individuals who will help me with my writing goals and- hey i don't know you like that, please stop acting so overly familiar with me'

So from what I heard, Wade wanted a family with Vanessa right? A baby?? A family of his own??
He would definitely treat Mary Puppins as his own actual biological daughter even though she's a deadpool, but she's the closest thing he has to an actual baby
And and Wade was no doubt happy for Laura that she has a Logan, not hers, but a Logan that she'll love and cherish all the same as her father
And Logan slowly opening himself to her and taking the parental role and treating her like she was always his own daughter
But oh my God IMAGINE PLEASE IMAGINE how HAPPY he would be when Laura refers to him as papa one day
Wade would always hang out and treat Laura like the questionable Uncle, and leaving the "father-bonding-and-other-fatherly-things" to Logan
But then one night, after she comes over for dinner and hangs out with them and now she has to return back to the X-Mansion she goes:
"Thanks for letting me come over agajn guys. Goodnight, love you Dad, love you Papi." And shuts the door and Wade almost trips over Mary Puppins.
"That's a little odd, baby peanut mentioned you twice. Must be really tired after tonight."
"Papi is you, bub."
He slowly turns to Logan, refusing to believe it
Before quietly and brokenly asking with so much joy
"I'm a dad?"
And if he cried that night, then that'll just be between him, Logan and Mary Puppins until Wade starts telling anyone and everyone that he's a step father and proceeds to prove how much of a great step father he can be

I’ve got so many clever fanfic ideas but little to no time to write ‘em
Like- come to think of it, it’s not just fics, but songs, comics and many more (except for this, I’ve got no material/talent)

why do 'evil' and 'mean' versions of fictional characters usually wear dark clothing with piercings and some sort of goth punk aesthetic. all the mean people i've met have high lights and wear y2k clothes from shein
