ok guys. guys. why aren't we spending every single fucking moment of our lives talking about the oldest dream & kim dokja scene?? like hello??? i'm not even talking about when kdj tries to stab himself no no i'm talking about the few, small moment leading up to that, when it's just them, staring at each other.

it's such an gut wrenching powerful scene in my opinion. like like like oh my god. so much has happened. and yet, and yet to them it's still about the same webnovel. kim dokja has aged thirteen years since he was this kid, but as he steps forward they still are both just kim dokja.

They both remember the cold rush of air when they leapt from their school balcony. They both remember the breathless laugh before they did it. They probably both remember the way it reminded them of when they were five, getting thrown into the air by their mother, her face not yet wrinkled with regret. They remember the way it burned as they hit the cold pavement and as blood seeped into the concrete. the way that whole thing was nothing more than a reminder that this time there was no one left to catch them.

They remember the flashes of cameras and they both remember typing three tiny words into the hospital computer.

They are both kim dokja: One is just the past and the other is the future.

They stare at each other when by all definitions they shouldn't be allowed to exist close to other. Kim Dokja hates him, he hates himself and he hates his past. and the oldest dream wishes he were him he wishes he could be someone stronger ,someone better, and that's why our kim dokja exists. They are trapped in this circle of resentment and remorse.

His companions stare, registering the scene in front of them. what this means. and it's this heartbreaking sort of realization that the god they came here to fight is not just a child, but the past of their leader. this world that has bruised them and hurt them and killed those they loved, was caused by one of the ones they loved.

And then the oldest dream( he's just a fifteen-year-old kid. he doesn't even have a drivers license yet. he doesn't know anything in this world except for pain and the rush of joy that comes with another chapter) opens his mouth. He stares at his future. A future he has created for himself. and he whispers, in a slow voice, his face twisting

"M-monster…"

To get to the bottom of this, we have to understand one thing:

Wukong and Macaque never stopped caring for eachother. Beheind all that hate in the first three seasons, they still cared for eachother (none of them dares to show it though)

Just look at how Macaque reaches out for Wukong- (godamnit)

So... what was that "something" Wukong was going to do, that he was warning Macaque about?

So clearly Macaque has a power, tha he got from someone else, that he CANT control.

And what do we see here in this scene?

The chains broken (again thanks to Lu-Zijing for mentioning that to me), but the shadowpowers OUT OF CONTROL.

In other words: I higely doubt Wukong acutally killed Macaque.

Yes, they got into a fight, but Wukong just wanted to trap Macaque in chains, so he could talk him out of this fight (instead of fighting who used to be his closest compainion).

But... something went wrong. Because right after that line we saw this:

Meaning that Wukong (acdently), destroyed Macaques eye, causing Macaque to PANIC, resulting in Macaque over-using his shadowpowers and then...

...

And one last thing, I would like to point out-

In that same scene Macaque was laughing, and an pretty evil laugh at that.

Almost like... his shadow powers had "taken over".

So lets do the math, yea?

Super unstable shadowpowers + super unstable monkey + the only friend he has ever had "leaving" him =

Ha ha- not to mention Wukong isnt even wearing a circlet here, meaning it didnt even take place in JTTW-!! but thats another can of worms, I will talk about another day-

Not gonna lie as someone who has kinda changed their opinion on culprit!Eden as I think she's the most likely to have commited atp from the fact that she could've gotten hold of two pieces of evidence (ball of clothes + tape).

There are a lot of arguments that I think about people who don't want Eden to die now, and honestly the only good argument i've found was "killing her would upset the balance of the cast".

Killing Eden would definitely lead to the main source of sunshine on the cast being murdered, however a slight counterargument to that would be that we don't know how Eden's death would change other contestants. The biggest exemple would be Levi, as I can see him trying to take on a role of support if Eden if she ever passed away (he clearly seems to want to be helpful to the cast).

I also think people overexagerrate the amount of characters that are actively antagonistic as most of chapter 2's goal was to show (most of) everyone's darker side. Character like Hu, Nico, Charles, J, Levi and Rose I feel like could be helpful in the future. I don't think we necessarely need Eden to have companionship or light in the cast.

It would definitely damper the mood 100 pourcent but depending on how her death would be executed, I feel like it would definitely leave an impact on the cast that would influence how they act.

Another argument that I find credible against culprit!Eden would be how it would cause regression in Teruko's character.

However I think that depends on how Eden's death is handled and how Teruko just handles it in general. The reason why Teruko snapped the way she did in trial 1 was because of a culmination of multiple things.

In fact maybe Teruko could find that if she trusted Eden or stayed at her side, maybe Eden wouldn't have gone to the road of killing Arei (but were talking about possibilities of a possibility here). If Eden did end up killing someone, it would be because she ended up being isolated.

One argument though I see often but I find is completely wrong though is "It would be like cutting Eden's arc short, every other character would be better for their arc"

That I heavily disagree with because I'd argue Eden kinda is the character with the least amount of developping to do.

She already has a (mostly) good mindset in terms of her positive thinking. In fact she's almost the paragon in the cast, the one with the most morals which makes her the least likely to really need positive developpement. It also wouldn't be fitting for her to have a regression arc afterwards.

The main two flaws Eden has, is her guilt and her not really accepting of her own "weakness" (negative emotions and all that). Both of which would be addressed by her being the culprit.

In comparison, killing another character would definitely cut their arc short.

Whit, he's the one we've seen the less of the uglier side of, we don't know why he acts the way he does and we don't know what is behind his jokester persona. His relationship to his mother and his past would also be left unadressed. We also don't know what his special intuition means despite it being highlighted constantly. Overall, I feel like despite Whit being my 2nd pick for the culprit, he'd definitely be lost potential.

I could do this with almost every character, like Nico with their relationship to Hu (who also really needs her own developpement) and how they deal with almost killing Ace.

J and her relationship with Arturo, as well as her own heavy belief against murder as another exemple just there is a lot

The thing is Eden seems to have been written as Teruko's companion, the one that would allow Teruko to be softer and open up to people. She does give big protagonist compainion vibes, however it could just as well be easily have been something to subvert our expectations

no matter if it's an hpa/postgame/pregame/adults au, him having a little kibbykat is so importaint to my mental health- and his too

cats are such neat little guys and i think Kokichi would relate to them heavily, what with all the no touchy except when i want and also i'm so mischievious and will yell for attention. and god would he benifet from having one currled up on his chest purring away when he doesn't feel good.

HERMITCRAFT + DINOTOPIA!!!

I tricked myself into drawing hc art by combining it with my current hyperfixation B) In this au, all the hermits have a dinosaur compainion to keep them company and help them work!

I chose the dromaeosaurus for Etho 1. for the colors 2. it’ll be able to reach into tight spaces to fix redstone 3. It can fetch items for Etho, not in bulk but if he needs an extra hopper, the raptor will be there. His name is Snapper :)

How I would improved Preston Garvey romance.

I really like Preston Garvey, I agree that he can be annoying sometimes. Unfortunately, many of his problems tie to the game mechanics and writing, so I will try my best to address these issues, but please understand. I'm not a game developer or a writer, I just play FO4 a lot and wanted to show my favourite compainion some love. Please enjoy :]

Put the "another settlement needs your help" aside.

Either make Preston have a cool down or a limit on how many quest he can gave you at a time. Or just remove it completely and assign it to a radio or something.

Give some hints or any mentions of his depression and suicide thoughts earler in his conversations.

Instead of you saying you love him first, i think he should.

After he tells you how much you means to him you can flirt with him which with him saying how he has started to fell for the sole survivor and how he can't hide it anymore.

Kind of like Cait final conversion ( which does have some issuse )

I think he should also have some more conversions with Mama Murphy and the rest of his group. They all have idle talk with each other expect for Preston.

Give him a hobby he might mention while talking.

I think he would like sewing.

And this really adds nothing but i think he should give you flowers after you romance him. Like how Maccready gives ammo

Bungou Stray Dogs Osamu Dazai Animatic Idea.

Basically this is an idea dump for an animatic I know I'll never make. If anyone gets inspired from this pls tag me.

So you probably know, how I CANNOT draw to save my life, and have very little experience in animation. Yeah, well I still have ideas for animatics so reluctantly, (but also eager for all the artist on here to see it) I'm going to share this really crusty animatic plan I made for a Dazai animatic with the song fire flies by owl city.

Like I said, I can't draw, so I made this using google slides (my trusty compainion) and horrid clip art so pls exuse it. It's just for general lay out and some notes about motion. Also when making it, I didn't intend to have lyrics displayed on screen, but I did put them for reference.

Because I can't draw but I wanted to make an animatic, I give you this really specifc break down of one instead. I just really thought that the somg fireflies was perfect for Dazai so I made this crappy thing. Here you go!

Don't quetsion the flowers. I just put them there because I found them while searching for other stock images/clipart and though that they were pretty. The title slide is pretty much just for funsies and not part of the mian animatic.

ONE

So the basic idea of this one is the bed is in greater focus. He's laying awake, his arm handing off the side, with a bottle of pills spilt out onto the floor (from a failed Dazai typcial su!c!de attempt) Some fireflies flutter up in the top right corner of the room, maybe by a small high up window. There's a nightsand on the right side. The gardient has nothing to do with colour pallet, I just wanted to make a gradient. Lol

TWO

The door stock image is a little fancy, but I couldn't find a regualr door fpr some reason, idk. Pretty mush he's walking to the door, maybe Dazai's bandaged hand is reaching for the knob.

THREE

This one is arugaubly the most complicated. Yes, I know the detail is going crazy with this clipart (sarcastic). Here's the note I put, since it's too small. (He’s walking outside from inside. Going onto the lawn. Show him walking through the door. Show side of house with window w/ curtains to indicate, maybe wood siding. Def show grass and fireflies hovering outside of door. He’s crying a little bit.)

FOUR

He's standing in the middle of a field surrounded by many fireflies, looking around in awe, still teary.

FIVE

Farily simple. Somehow or another he's in space (hey, it's artistic license) He's standing on top of Earth and Earth is spinning underneath him. Starts blink/twinkle.

SIX

He's lying on his bed looking up at the ceiling. The fireflies have folowed him inside somehow. They give the mostly dark room a soft glow. Maybe he's barley illuminated or just his face has a glow on it. A firefly could land on his nose or the gem of his bolo tie. or maybe he's reading his hand up a bit nd a firefly lands on it.

SEVEN

Fireflies surrounding Dazai and some lading on his shoulders and maybe hair. (The arms on the clipart man are so messed up because the fireflies are on a white not transparent background but it's hard to tell because the slide is also white.)

EIGHT

He’s dancing kind of, no specific moves needed, just enough to give the impression. Maybe twirling, idk. Fireflies follow his movements, drifting up and down and side to side with him. They move a little before he does, appearing to guide him.

NINE

TEN

He's laying under his bed staring upwards. Maybe the fireflies are above, maybe they look as if they are trying to find him and guide him back to the light. maybe not. Or maybe one or two are under the bed with him. Idk this scene is weird, I know.

He's on his tippy toes recahing up towards a disco ball suspended from the ceiling by a noose.

Yay a new scene after the repeats! It's the front door again from the inside veiw. It's cracked open and there's light comming from within the house, fireflies fly out of the house and back into the night.

This scene to me is about his guilt. He's now sititng up in bed and there's a thought bubble with the logo of the sheep.

SIXTEEN

Ofc it wouldn't be a true Dazai animatic without his bestie! Oda cameo, yay! Here he's standing over Oda's grave, not crying (because he's found the light, represented by the fireflies which surround him like an aura) but looking very sad.

SEVENTEEN

I don't think i need to explain this one very much lol. I couldn't find a way to show this with images so I just wrote it out. I don't know if your still doing match ups but, if you are, I would like a match up for my character, any gender, and I'm fine with both npcs and compainion

Their name is Rhiannon they're a Mephistopheles Tiefling bard, that go by any pronoun.

They love animals, the arts, mythology, spicy food, getting praised, and giving the personal middle finger to those who cause problems for the little guys (Aka causing problems, like 'oh you want to use the bathroom, have fun with no toilet paper kind of problems). There is a chance if pushed far enough, like really far, like you just murder a group of babies, that she will go 'they will want death, but I won't give it to them, because it's too good for them.'

Is mostly okay with murder, with idea that 'Killing people is okay if they tried to kill you first' but won't kill animals or children because soft spots and raised with morals. He will listen to both sides of the story but will try to be unbiased.

She has a human father, unknown Tiefling mother, and human half-sister.

I always picture him with blue skin, small baby cow sized black horns, and white hair, rather light.

Hates the dark or not being able to see, has abandonment issues, and not sure what they want in life.

Most of all a silly little guy that loves music and needs to feel loved.

A/N: Hello Anon! I could have sworn, I’ve read about a Tav named Rhiannon before… I think from other writers? I looked to see if I could find the post because I wondered who they paired you with, but I didn’t come across it again. Oh well. As for your Rhiannon, in MY personal opinion, I think they’d best be matched with… either Karlach (Female) or Dammon (Male)!

Karlach would be a great match for Rhiannon as she is so optimistic and verbal in her love and appreciation for the people and the world around her. Karlach, despite all she���s endured, is still very open and trusting when it comes to her emotions.

As a fellow tiefling, Karlach understands a good bit about tiefling biology and culture. She most definitely experienced discrimination while she was working under Gortash in Baldur’s Gate. She’s also fiercely protective of the ones she loves, so if anyone comes for Rhiannon because they’re a tiefling, they better watch out- barbarian girlfriend on the defense!

Based on Karlach’s reactions to Scratch and the Owlbear cub, it’s safe to say that she enjoys animals as well. She’d be up for raising a pet together, whichever pet Rhiannon would prefer. She also appreciates the arts, even if she’s not the most knowledgeable about them. Karlach would need Rhiannon to explain the art form/technique being utilized. And spicy food? Oh boy! Spicy food is Karlach’s middle name. Even though she’ll eat just about anything (and I mean anything), spicy food is her favorite. She also gives loads of praise, so good thing Rhiannon loves being praised, otherwise, he might get embarrassed by Karlach’s constant compliments and encouragement.

Karlach is also fairly level-headed, with a similar protective side. Together she and Rhiannon make up for a pretty solid moral compass, and everyone respects them as such. With Karlach bringing the strength, and Rhiannon bringing the music, they’re the perfect yin-yang couple!

Dammon would also be a pretty good match (at least in my opinion). He’s kindhearted and soft-spoken and not one prone to violence. He’s a craftsman, not a fighter, like Rhiannon, so he understands the nature of their expertise, often being underestimated.

Obviously, as another tiefling himself, Dammon appreciates the fact that Rhiannon can relate to the discrimination and hardships he’s been through. Being a refugee from Elteral has definitely taken its toll on Dammon and a cheery and silly little music loving guy is exactly the kind of partner he needs to bring joy back into his life.

Dammon having a more orange complexion looks really well when standing next to Rhiannon with her blue complexion- their appearance and personal outfit styles compliment one another really well.

Overall a life shared with Dammon would be much more quiet, and wholesome, as opposed to a life of fighting and adventuring with Karlach, but if a nice quiet life to just play music is what Rhiannon is looking for, Dammon would be the best choice for him.

i get the argument he’s a king. the reputation around his name, his loyalty, etc. i GET it. but.

soldiers are loyal to a fault. they’ll fight tooth and nail to save a kingdom they once thought to be perfect, because, in their eyes, it’s all they can do.

soldiers, overall, they’re complacent.

they know death is immainate with where they stand. they know they’re nothing more than a number, but they still fight. they don’t want to push the status quo or involk change because they benefit from it.

also soldiers have historically had a close relationship to power in terms of status. not as high as a king/emperor, but still pretty high up.

also! the song mentions “[he] carries a mighty sword”. fitz is CANIOCIALLY impeccable with weapons. kings are too, but i feel like fitz’s usage of weapons compared to sophie’s, shows fitz as the better candidate for soilder. he’s had them for longer, and he’s forced to use them more frequently.

similarly, as someone with a sibling (and who has spent too long analyzing biana), there is no way in hell fitz would let the throne be ruled by him and only him. in times of distress or worry, fitz has a compainion who can fight alongside him and knows his strengths and weaknesses. those assets translate better to a solider rather than a king.

fitz, i love him to death, but he doesn’t know how to lead.

sophie, on the other hand does. which leads me to…

sophie- king.

she’s felt isolated/different her whole life, but she knows how to channel that loneliness into something productive.

think through the books: growing up she has to keep the secret that she could hear everyone’s thoughts. and now everytime she learns something about herself, it puts her further away from the people she’s supposed to relate to. she knows the responsibility these differences have forced her to face, so the heavy weight of a crown would be nothing new to her, even with the support system she now has.

sophie knows how to gauge a situation, act quickly yet not impulsively. she knows she doesn’t need to be at the forefront of every battle in order for it to be successful: everyone has their strengths and everyone has their weaknesses.

Explanation

(i might edit this as i go)

MK(Moana): A strange but hyperactive boy, who dreams about great voyages at sea. The same his hero, Sun Wukong, also went on. From a young age, he has felt connection to the ocean, that can never truly be explained.

Wukong(Maui): "The great demigod equal to the seven seas. He has been on many great voyages, on which he has liftided up the sky, created coconuts among many other things. He once had compainions with him on these journeys, but they are all gone now. He also possesed the abilty to transform, but for some reason, cant anymore... He is currently trapped on an Island, unable to get away. He also hates that he is demigod, and will correct anyone who says he is one.

Pigsy and Tang(Moanas parents): The head chief of the island, and his husband, who despartly tried to get MK to stop waisting his time with The Monkie Kings stories and instead become the head chief of the island. They simply dont want him to be like thoughs monsters, from the Monkie king stories, that they may be related to in some way or the other...

Nuwa(Grandma Tala): She isnt MK's real grandma, but he still calls her it (even though her dads does not like her). She told MK all the great stories of the Monkie King, which started his hyperfixation on Sun Wukong and dreams about fantastic voayges. She did this in the hopes he could do... something with this. Im making her morally grey in this AU, since in canon we dont know Nuwa yet.. She was also the one who gave him, his staff-shaped necklace.

Sandy(The water): He is literally a water demon originally- of course i had to make him the morally support water that helps MK through his journery.

Spider Queen(Tamatoa): A giand spider crab, that loves gold as much as herself. She also seems to have the knowledge of why Wukong cant transform anymore.

The Demon Bull family(The coconut pirates): Yea- they just here for the chaos, the funsies, and being good villians, just like the show. :D

Macaque(Tefiti): Once a mighty warrior, that traveled with the great sage, and had a very close bond with. But now he is an angry and terryfing shadow monster Why has he changed? Well, that is the quiston isnt it?;) (Dont worry i have a good angsty backstory for it)

Yes! For the bad rap 76 has gotten, I do have to give it credit for introducing playable instruments to the series...
