Backstory:

You were born and grew up in a household of rather logical thinkers. There was a reason for things to happen and a certain order that life held on the daily. Growing up in this, you grew to have a much similar mindset, always taking the logical approach to life and any problems that may come your way, even as a child. It was a source of many strange looks that you would get from both kids your age and other adults alike. It was as if no one could truly understand your mind nor the way that you saw or perceived the things that were around you. Conflict was always something that you heavily avoided as if it was a plague upon the world. That was because they couldn't. As you began to grow up, these encounters only seemed to grow stronger and much more harsh. Between the non-conformity you held of the society that was around you, who blunt you could seem at times, and the overall way that you would carry yourself always gathered the hushed whispers of others.

As your family continued to expand, the words would travel from the outside of your home to the inside. The expectations growing higher and higher and when these expectations were not met, you had been met with scolding, harsh words, and demands to do better. It only led to more of a shut-down within you. Couldn't they see you had been trying? That you were trying to be like them? Couldn't they see that the more they behaved in such a way, the more that they would drive you away? It wouldn't seem so, because you were gone mere weeks later.

There was merely one friend of yours that you could trust. Someone who had been there for you ever since you were a child. Not one was your way of thinking questioned, only embraced. Perhaps that is why you found yourself there in the middle of the night, duffel bag over your shoulder, shielding yourself from the rain by standing under the small roof that the porch provided you. Jun was nice enough to let you stay and while you found Naomi to be rather strange, you weren't one to question her. They provided you with a place to stay after leaving home and in the time that you had known them, understood that you thought differently than other people, and tried to understand you, which is more than what other people would try to do. For now, you would make do in your temporary home.

Ability: Shadow Play

Your ability allows you to control and manipulate both your own shadow and the shadows of other beings. The strength of your ability relies on the amount of darkness in a certain area, as the darkness itself is a shadow. In many ways, he can be seen and used as a highly dangerous power as right now, there are not many known limitations to your ability, given the fact of its rather wide range of capabilities. For example, with these shadows that you are able to manipulate, you are able to take these shadows and solidify them into a number of objects, such as weaponry, using them to scale you up to higher places, or even use them to bind others, which can be done when the shadow is both physical and even with it is against anything else and not currently tangible (there was a time when someone merely stepped on the shadow and you were able to trap them with it). When in use, the veins that could usually be seen within the arms and wrists began to take on a more blank hue, and it turns both the iris' and scelera of the user's eyes black in color. Your ability first began to manifest when you were ten years old and in an unintentional manner after retreating to your room and you had begun to reach for a book, only to realize you moved the shadow of the book, rather than the book itself. After that, was when they started developing on becoming tangible. It certainly took some time to work on that aspect as several times, you would try to move something with a shadow, have the grip, and then the object would phase through once the shadow was no longer tangible. It takes quite a bit of concentration on the tangible aspect of your ability and could result in quite the headache if you keep it up for too long. You are also able to use these shadows as a form of 'cloak' to hide yourself away, which has come in handy quite a few times when you were working on a new case. It only really works if you are in dark enough space so that the shadows can properly hide you. Though, the one that comes the most in handy, would be moving through the shadows. You have scared quite a number of people by simply emerging from a shadow. Said shadow must be big enough to move your whole form, though. If it is smaller than you, it won't really work. As long as the shadow is as big as you, or bigger, then they are safer to move through. You still give people heart attacks to this day doing that.

Allegiance: Armed Detective Agency

You began to work with the ADA right around the time that Dazai had begun, just shortly before he had. At the time, Yosano, had been working there and after quite a few different conversations, and eventually even a meeting with Fukuzawa, you had joined the Agency as well. There wasn't exactly a dull moment when you were there as something always seemed to be happening, something to help keep you thinking, which certainly brought quite a thrill to the job. Not to mention, quite the meaningful conversations that you would have with others who worked there made your day just that much better. You had finally found a place that respected the way that you would think and do things.

Best Friend: Yosano Akiko

She is certainly a strange one, one for the very first thoughts when you had met the woman for the first time. Each interaction seemed to follow the same line of thinking. Certainly not what anyone would think her to be, especially as a medic, one who would heal. Not exactly..... the societal norm. Perhaps that is where you both started to get along? Neither of you are quite what society expects you to be and that is just fine for the both of you. After hearing that you rather like shopping, Yosano is quick to bring you along for a nice trip, but at least she didn't make you carry her things.

Relationship with:

Dazai Osamu:

You had known him during his time with the Port Mafia shortly before he joined the ADA. It was only a brief meeting at that time, but it was enough to set quite a few lasting impressions. For a while, you did not quite understand his fascination with the concept of suicide or double suicide, dismissing it as a little quirk of his. Soon, these tendencies became more..... humorous in a way. He moved from being a simple man that you knew, then to a very good friend when he came to the ADA. He offered quite the puzzles for your logical thinking mind that always kept you on your toes and engaged. Perhaps that is where the feelings began to grow and develop?

Chuuya Nakahara:

You had met him not too long after Dazai came to the ADA, someone that he actually spoke about from time to time. Chuuya will never understand how you and Dazai managed to get along as well as you did, granted, he thought the same of himself and you. While not exactly best friends with each other, you were at least on friendly terms. It wasn't often you two would see each other while working, but there have been a few instances where you would both meet up for a drink after a long day. Despite being from two different agencies, the two of you are able to find the balance that allows you both to at least consider each other decent friends.

Ryuunosuke Akutagawa:

To be honest, the only reason this man even looked in your direction to begin with was because you seemed to be rather close with Dazai, a man that we all know he reveres rather heavily. If Dazai of all people found you to be a friend and someone worth knowing, then who was he to question? In a way, he grows to be rather protective over you, especially knowing how close you two seemed to be getting. He could only imagine the look that Dazai would have on his face if anything were to ever happen to you, so he took it up on himself to ensure that you remain unharmed, even during the times that you two would meet out on the field during jobs from your respective agencies. If you ever make the note to him that you will mention him to Dazai, be it about him trying to keep you safe or how well he seemed to be doing, it's a near game over there.

Doppo Kunikida:

To be honest, the two of you clicked rather quickly, mostly due to sharing the same thought process of things and work style. You became someone that he respected and it was a mutual respect for the both of you. When out in the field, the two of you seem to work rather well together. Sure, there are a few spats here and there but that is to be expected no matter who it is that one works with. You are more like work friends rather than hang out after work friends, and that works just fine for the both of you. At first he thought you were crazy the moment that you began to show some form of interest in a certain someone. But so long as your work was not impacted, then he supposed that it would all be fine in the end. Just be careful, okay?

Your Ideal Match Is.............. Dazai Osamu

Dazai is certainly an enigma of a man, is what you had thought when you first encountered the suicide-obsessed man. There was something about him that had stirred something within you, though you weren't quite sure as to what that was just yet. His ways both confused and enamored you, something that he could easily say the same when it came to questions about you from his various coworkers. Something that he was rather able to notice the closer that the two of you grew together, was how he began to feel more....... human. There was a flutter in his chest, like the butterflies that many people would talk about feeling. There was a flush of heat searing his skin at the mention of your name. At first, he thought he found someone that he knew would be perfect for his gran double-suicide..... but when in reality.... He found someone who made life worth living, someone he would rather life for than die for, and anyone who knows him, knows just how heavy those words are, how much meaning is there behind them. As a couple, Dazai has a habit of keeping you on your toes. Whether it be his line of questions, questions for reasons, little dates here and there, late night walks. The more time he spends with you, the better. It's a bonus because you enjoy them well. Arcade dates, a few times shopping (to be honest, you also raid his closet), trips for the cafe, the man even writes things for you, little snippets that you keep at home in a beautiful box, reading them whenever you feel down. Quality time is something that is clearly seen that the both of you seem to share when it comes to a prominent love language.

He finds it rather cute when you begin to space out during longer conversations or when no one is speaking. The look that you have on your face is personally his most favored.... he's taken several pictures and it's currently his wallpaper (it tends to rotate between the various pictures he has of you whether you know of them or not.

Ship Tropes:

The Power Couple: Abilities aside, because when the both of you are paired together out in the field, it is truly a day of reckoning for anyone who may cross your path, just the aura that you both share both when alone and when you're together has enough to turn heads.

Devotion (both ways): Dazai was the first to become so devoted to you, finding someone he would rather live for than commit his beloved double-suicide with. The very ground that you walk on is sacred to him and he makes it rather well known to you. It comes for you later. With a man such as Dazai, someone who pays close attention to your needs and wants, it didn't take much time before you slowly began to grow just as devoted as he was. After all, a relationship is much like a mutual partnership. When both of you work together, there is much greatness that can come from it all.

Late night walks no matter the season, giving you his coat for warmth, drinking tea/coffee by a fireplace, reading to each other, long talks over a number of topics, letting you change his various bandages, amusement park dates, him winning you prizes, back scratches, slow dances in the kitchen, cuddling just before bed with him running his fingers through your hair, watching thunderstorms, and tending to each other's injuries.

For a big scary guy he really does love you. But he doesn’t show it to anyone, that side is only for your eyes, behind close doors. He’s also very possessive over you,he won’t hesitate to gut someone with his hook if they stare at what’s his. He won’t admit it but he adores your happy personality. It goes along with his grumpy personality. People definitely don’t understand how someone so happy is with Crocodile. But then again no one would say a word…too afraid of the guy. During any meetings he has with Mihawk and Buggy he makes sure your well taken care of. He really doesn’t allow you in the meetings considering he doesn’t really trust those two, especially the clown. Also!! In these meetings him and Mihawk tend to beat poor Buggy up….he doesn’t want you watching that.

And considering you love cute little animals, he didn’t hesitate to show you his pet Pug. It’s kinda cute that a scary huge hug has a small dog. And you bet your ass he cares about the puppy. Crocodile also loves how smart you are and how good you are with numbers, you would make a perfect part for the Cross Guild, but he knows that you don’t like working under pressure or like the idea of being in a leadership position. So he won’t push the idea on you. But from time to time you do help him with his paperwork. Considering Buggy is very useless.

Crocodile doesn’t like that you’re a people pleaser, yes it’s okay to help out and all. But not when you’re uncomfortable with the task or when you can’t say no. So of course he’s gonna teach you how to put yourself first. He even encourages you to say no to him.

He definitely brings you roses weekly, and the bouquet is definitely going to have a little love note. He’s gonna let you know that you’re the most beautiful and stunning human being. He has a way with his words.

Due to the height difference, he finds it rather cute when you get mad. He’ll tease you, which would earn him a hard kick to the leg from you.

You’re always in his office, and you can tell hes stressed by Mihawk and Buggy, mostly Buggy…so when he’s working you tend to rub and massage his shoulders. And he can’t help but melt into your touch.

INTRODUCTION

When you met D16 because you guys kept finding each other in the same mines, you two slowly adjusted with each other. With D16’s loyalty and determination, you started to immediately like him. D16 was so willing to help Sentinel and Iacon that it struck something in your spark. D16’s devotion was honourable and you admired him for that!

D16 enjoyed your playful and aloof personality, how you were so social and out for others. Your cockiness and optimistic behaviour definitely caught him quickly too. At first, D16 thought you were just like Orion. You both were cocky, kind hearted and loud, but it’s when you two started to talk and hang out is when he realised you are much better than what he intended.

He thought you would’ve been jumping in joy when one of the racers went up to you, but you went silent and treated them like they were a superior. Though the racer was flustered and told you that it’s okay, D16’s spark glowed inside at that moment, it felt like it stopped inside and burnt a hole in his chest, but in a good way. After that, D16 studied you more silently. He learnt that you are able to relate to almost every bot you meet, relating with your common hobbies like your love for literally any music. I say almost because the bots that pissed you off were definitely the ones who were either narcissistic or used others for their advantage. Other than that, you enjoyed everybody else. D16 respected you so much for this.

You both became very close during the job as miners.

HEADCANONS:

You can see these as platonic: - D16 sometimes would rant to you about his idols, how Megatronous was the toughest and the baddest or how Sentinel is such a selfless guy and was out in the field for all of Iacon. You with your kind-heart would silently listen while chuckling. (When D16 goes far and starts fangirling, you burst out laughing. It’s hard to keep it in sometimes) - Sometimes the both of you would silently listen to music while admiring the scenery Iacon gives during the dark times. The way the bright lights bounced off each other or how the buildings hung from above, it was definitely an admirable sight. You’d admire the little lights above that looked like stars. D16 would find this out by trying to get your attention, but you were way too distracted. He just chuckles and boops your face to wake you up. - Sometimes D16 gets on the verge of anger when he’s forced to do more mining or is dragged into crime by Orion Pax. You are able to calm D16 down with your lively demeanor, just the type of voice he needed. Somebody who was optimistic and knew what to say. - D16 definitely never lies to you, like at all. In general, he doesn’t lie too often at all, he’s able to reach goals and complete his promises. With you, he is way more competitive and determined to keep his promises that he has with you. He knew you’d be upset if you just gave him an empty promise, so he either avoids promises or is just extremely determined.

Definitely some romance: - When anything crazy happens, you and D16 just watch from afar. You two would just silently whisper to each other like the silly bystanders you both were. You two were the type of cybertronians to be the popular shipped background characters. - You both may like each other but you guys never slacked off. You guys were a hard-working pair who always got the job done. Though you two would give each other little nuzzles when you both are close, you both were so determined that it almost always worked out in the end. Both of you honestly gained quite a bit of respect for that. - Orion as the third wheeler dude. He would tease the both of you when you or D16 were alone with him. He’d be like “So, how’s that relationship going with D16? What, did he get you addicted to Megatronus too?” And Orion would just smirk. You’d just smile it off and playfully push him. D16 would complain about this exact problem too. - When you both start dating, that's when D16 spills it. He starts ranting about how the miners have to do so much work so often. He knew it was for ‘good’ but it would tire him everyday. You were definitely surprised but you also understood, you guys never got a break after the Iacon 5000. You with your optimistic mindset would say the positives like how you and him get to hang out almost every second and that you two are stronger than everybody else! It was a stretch but D16 was glad that he could trust you. - When you guys can, both of you would get up when everyone is recharging and cuddle together. You both didn’t mind cuddles but definitely kept kisses for more important times. Kissing was like a moment for when you two had hit a milestone. Examples are like during Iacon 5000 or 1-cycle anniversary! ( one year anniversary. )

• This may have been an obvious one, but I think Ren is the best for you!

• Ren’s type is generally alt people. Anyone into nerd culture regarding media series definitely catch his attention first. Seeing an artsy, pinky person like you immediately makes him have heart eyes for you. I guess you could say he just wants an anime looking bf/gf/partner. Since you fit in that category, you got him pretty easily!

• Hazzah! You’re taller than him! Don’t think he’ll let you get away with bullying him about it. He’s a little bit self conscious, and will most likely punish you with the shock collar for it.

Zayne was currently looking for places to take his girl out this weekend. He was busy the past few days and wanted to make it up to her. He was scrolling through his phone as he waited for the test of his patient to arrive. He was looking at various places with animals or some sort of garden so they’d be able to sit back and relax, maybe have a picnic as the two of them talk about their week. His eyes scan each option that popped up. Each of the choices had so many pros and cons, it was hard to settle for one. He wanted this date to be the best. He won't settle for less. From petting zoos to flower gardens and fruit picking, he tried scanning each location for reviews and did research if it was ethical. He won't bring his girl to an unethical zoo or garden! She’d be furious and their date would be ruined.

But before he could commit to a location he was pulled away to tend to another patient, with a sigh he reluctantly went. And there goes the cycle of never ending patients and surgeries. And of course they were short staffed this week! Oh how he hates and loves his job. No matter how hard the job is, there is only one person in his mind. He needs to stay strong, he has a date to plan. He needs to make things perfect! As a reconciliation for the lack of attention this week. Well, he was going to plan it but the extra load made it hard to sit down and find a place. 

The day of the date eventually came rolling around, and to say he was unprepared was an understatement. He was usually okay with spontaneous dates but he feels as if he had failed her somehow. He wanted her to enjoy the date and it had to be perfect. He was pacing around the room, phone in hand as he continued browsing. He should've turned down that one patient that did not have any serious ailments. He could have planned this better! His mind was swirling with all sorts of last minute date ideas. Anything to make sure this date was perfect! What he didn't realize is that time slipped past his fingers and she was now here.

“Zayne, are you okay?” She asked as she gently reached out to hold his arms. He jolted at the contact, his eyes widened in surprise. What time was it? Why was she so early? His head immediately turned to the side to look at the clock. His usually well kept hair was messy and even his polo was down two buttons. It was already time? He ran his hand through his hair. God, he didn't achieve anything.  “We can canc-” but before she could even respond, Zayne straightened up and fixed his collar. “No, no, there is no need to cancel. It's just that,” He hesitated after that.

She gave him a look of encouragement, as if telling him to continue. His expression softened as she leaned closer to him. He sighed, not being able to deny the sweetheart in his arms. He wrapped his arms around her. “It's just that I wanted this date to be perfect, and yet I have nothing planned.” He leaned in and kissed her forehead. “I haven't been present. So I wanted to do something for you. To show you that I'm still here.” He looked away, almost embarrassed about what he said. But instead of anger, the only reply he got was a soft laugh. “Any date is perfect, because you and I are together” He couldn't help but smile at her words

❥︎  I decided to pick Zayne for a few reasons and one of them is the fact that you want to live a calm and peaceful life. And with Zayne? That’s practically the goal. I mean he is a doctor and STILL manages to make time for you. 

❥︎ Unlike the hunter, the artist, the mafia leader, and the soldier, Zayne is the calmest (And less stressful) of them all.

❥︎ I also picked him cause of his temperment! He's calm and quiet. He's gentle and would definitely vibe with your energy.

- When you first meet Ratchet, he immediately picks up your astounding appearance. You chose a colourful and dandy outfit, something Ratchet would barely see humans wearing. It wasn’t embarrassing or odd, it was actually somewhat relieving to him. (though he said that it’s too much and he pretended to hate it)

- Seemingly you were an upbeat and enthusiastic person who meant no harm. You had a sense of kindness surrounding you and you never looked at the bad side of things. Ratchet would’ve seen this as annoying only if you weren’t so polite at the same time. It was impressive to him how you could be so energetic around the teenagers of the team but then so mannerful and stoic to the bots.

- You were pretty charming to the other humans of the team. Raf, Miko and Jack. Your determined and workaholic like behaviour intruged Raf as it inspired him to work harder. Your optimistic and ambition caught Miko ( especially as she was the only female human ). And Jack respected your loyal and motherly like behaviour. Though Ratchet hated the humans, your presence helped him see more clearly that they were actually useful.

- Oftenly, you would be showing Miko your various amount of skill that you had. It was impressive how talented you were. Music, survival and nature is what you aspired in. Ratchet would watch from a distance while you showed Miko how to play the Violin while Miko struggled. To Ratchet, it was almost impossible to balance such activities everyday, but here you are, exceeding his expectations.

- It freaked Ratchet out when he found out that you enjoyed medias like horror and creepy dolls. Though you have told him your other interests like anthropology, psychology and mythology, your liking to making dolls and watching murder made him somewhat uneasy about your psychological health. Especially your dark sense of humour, he hated that the most.

- Ratchet wasn’t the type of guy to survive alone in the forest but you were. You had all of the survival skills Ratchet didn’t have and honestly it was humourous. Sure, Ratchet can do intense surguries but could he shoot a bullseye?

You would stubbornly drag Ratchet with you to the forest so you could admire a few plants. He would hate this so much, he thought it was stupid how you would stare at an organic plant like it was the matrix. You would try to convince him that nature is a beautiful aspect of Earth by showing him your personal garden. It was full of nature’s beauty and Ratchet just called it dirty and inconvinent.

- When Ratchet snaps at the teens or at the autobots due to his grumpy state, you were able to calm him down. You would tell him words that would make him feel protective. Though you were young, you had the wisest mind.

ENDO FELL FIRST. you caught his eye the moment you came in : dressed in pink with satin ribbons in your hair. your personality was a bit of a shock for him though—he wasn’t expecting you to be this loud. he thought you’d be that pretty, quiet girl at the back of the classroom. while i don’t think he fell in love at first sight, i do think he was curious about you from the very beginning. i think you guys started out as unlikely friends : he made a couple of jokes & you surprised him with your sense of humor. you both started as friends and quickly became closer, sharing inside jokes & gossiping and the likes. it took him a bit before he realized he was in love but boy once he did he was plotting on you HEAVY.

sunshine protector endo yamato takes protection a little bit too seriously i fear 💔 he can’t help himself, you’re so pretty n cute n trusting & the streets of furin aren’t exactly the safest. he’s afraid your personality will get you into trouble. because of that he can be a little extra : you have to have your location on at all times & god forbid you take five minutes too long to reply to his texts. he’ll immediately panic that something’s wrong on your end, and depending on how long you take to reply he MIGHT go berserk.

i also think endo is very guilty of doing too much 🤦‍♀️ i think he’s pretty possessive but without being jealous : he’s the type to put his arm over your shoulder whenever a guy approaches you just for the thrill of it. he doesn’t think for a second that anyone could steal you away from him so he isn’t jealous, but that doesn’t stop him from being a complete asshole to anyone who comes close to you. you often reprimand him for it but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t think it was hot

endo also talks about his exes a lot i fear. i mean, at least it’s not in a positive way ? but it’s annoying nevertheless. “you like camellias ? ew, my ex maggie used to like those.” “huh ? don’t say that mei, you sound like my ex bellinda.” it’s a new ugly name everyday and you’re sick of it. worst part about it is he doesn’t even mean to bring them up. it’s something he does unintentionally but because you’d rather be the ‘cool’ girlfriend who’s not easily offended, you suffer in silence rather than talking to him about it. you hide your discomfort pretty well so he’s not able to pick up on it, so atp it’s something he has to realize on his own.
