my favorite saiouma vs the class dynamic is the one where the class is like "Kokichi must be doing something to Shuichi" in a concerned way, and then Kokichi is muttering to himself "oh my god what is Shuichi doing to me"

like there's something so funny to me about their classmates being concerned for Shuichi hanging around Kokichi, some worrying for his sanity, some worrying about him being misguided by Kokichi- but in reality Kokichi is the one who's in trouble. He's is head over heels making a fool of himself and hating how easily Shuichi can make him stumble, he's freaking out cause Shuichi is getting closer and his walls are lowering instead of raising

the class ofc has no idea Kokichi is having a gay lil meltdown in his mind, and it's always entertaining for that reason

okay wait fuck- y'all know my opposite day saiouma au? what if that but you throw soulmates into the mix? the chaos would be delicious

to summarize cause i've only talked about this au like- once before, the od au is at it's most basic saiouma but their personalities have been completely inverted- ie: Shuichi is an aloof, lazy, prideful, and openly jackassy detective who regularly blackmails criminals he catches, and Kokichi is a genuinely horrific and homicidal gang leader but feigns being an innocent goody two shoes for the class.

the bit with saiouma in this au is Shuichi uses his detective skills to sniff out Kokichi's true nature and uses that to blackmail Kokichi into hanging out with him cause he wants to study him like a bug, and as results they go through a toxic yaoi enemies to lovers arc- starting out playing mind games and cussing one another out, and ending up doing the same shit but afterwards making out about it

i would like to note that this description is a grossly simplified summary of the au and kinda skims over alot of the nuance in it that make it more than just pregames with extra steps, i promise this au has more to it i just needed to give y'all some kind of reference point here

anywho- now imagine all that fuckery with some kind of soulmate system involved, i'd wager they would not take too kindly to finding out they're soulmates. Shuichi would try to spin it in his favor by using it as an excuse to mess with Kokichi, but Kokichi would be doing everything in his power to resist the whole ordeal because he cannot fathom himself having a lover- let alone it being that fucking freak

DICE holds bug funerals

this is based on a story my friend told me about him and one of his friends doing something like this, i just kinda thought it was very DICEcore

basically the idea is whenever they find a dead bug or have to kill one (usually on Kokichi's dramatic request) some of the clowns will give the bug a little bug funeral to pay respects to it's tiny life, much to Kokichi's chagrin. Kokichi does not care for this bit and is half suspecting them to be doing this to mess with him specifically, knowing good and well he hates bugs

the story my friend gave that inspired this had them putting a bunch of bugs they tried and failed to save from drowning in a pool onto a leaf and sending it down a nearby stream like it was a damn viking funeral (minus the fire)

i've probably done this before but idc- chosen one Kokichi au but he fulfills his chosen one duties by being a phantom thief and the whole time everyone thinks he's the great evil the chosen one (who no one knows where the fuck is) is suppose to be defeating.

like the whole prophecy goes the chosen one is to be reincarnated in a specific timeframe, and when the time has come they are to fulfil their duty by protecting the people from a great evil of their era. traditionally the chosen one is usually saught after as a younge kid so they can be trained by cherrypicked teachers to take on whatever battle they must- but this time Kokichi was it and never got found so people started freaking out like "what if we can't find the chosen one in time", and now he's battling the great evil called the one percent by stealing all their valuables and selling them for money he can redisribute to the people ala robinhood while people on the news declair that the great evil is upon us and he's wearing a clown mask

Kokichi, for the record, has no clue he's the chosen one and is just doing this out of a sense of justice and also his thrill seeking habits. he also kinda likes the idea of possibly being the chosen one's arch nemisis.

maybe there's room here for Shuichi to be a fake chose one? like the people in charge of seeking out the chosen one panic and try to find the next best thing to use, and they end up hiring this honestly impressivly skilled aprentice detective to try and at least curve the damage the phantom thief is doing while they scramble to find the chosen one already and get them tf out there. this backfires horribly on them cause now everyone thinks Shuichi's the chosen one

So I know the post about Kokichi never touching anyone went in a different direction, but when I read the beginning of it, my first thought was:

Shuichi: so on a scale from one to ten, how touch starved are you?

Kokichi: (insert some kind of "what are you, a cop?" or "you'll never take me alive!" type response)

lmao that's great he so would, tho i'll admit im not super big on Kokichi being touch starved honestly

like to an extent yeah i like it cause everybody needs to be held once in a while, but also some people just genuinely don't like to be touched and can thrive on like at most a hug a month and anything more overwhelms them and makes them uncomfy- and that's the kind of guy i hc Kokichi as.

i think it makes for an interesting contrast with his personality, and it's doubly fun with my infintely touch starved Shuichi hc cause it makes for a highly amusing saiouma dynamic

fun fic concept- Shuichi realizing Kokichi never touches anyone

this is a concept i kinda wanna write but i'm brainrotting about a different fic i'm working on rn so it'll have to wait- instead why don't i share the concept with y'all and let y'all put your owns spins on it

so basally the idea is rooted in my hc that Kokichi doesn't like to be touched, and as such avoids touching other people aswell. i'd imagine this would start to catch Shuichi's attention after a while, i mean like- Kokichi comes off as the kind of person who would always get in people's personal bubbles, leaning on them, poking them, clinging to them- and to be fair he does get very physically close to people alot- but Shuichi's never actually seen him touch someone, at least not willingly. his hands will hover, his face will draw near- but he never makes contact. and that's fucking weird.

this would probably really start to eat at Shuichi, as it takes way more effort to get that close without touching than it does to just lean on someone- and he's seen Kokichi fake lean on Miu before too, arm hovering just a few centimeters over her shoulder while he balanced precariously on one foot. surely something has to be up

it's not until one day when Shuichi accidentally brushes arms with Kokichi and he catches him jerking away from the touch that it finally clicks- recalling times where others had tried to touch Kokichi and were met with air as Kokichi smoothly dodged them like it was nothing, where when they did manage to touch him he'd jerk away like he did to Shuichi- and suddenly his weird ass habit made sense.

Kokichi wants to be That Guy getting up in everyone's business- but for whatever reason he has some sort of aversion to touch and likely can't without feeling just as uncomfy as his victims, so he hovers like a damn freak instead, making them uncomfy without him feeling like he wants to crawl out of his own skin

what are y'all's DICE rules?

like canonically DICE has a no killing policy but im sure they have more rules alongside that, so what rules do your DICE follow? and also is there any stories behind any of them (ie: were one of them made because of something that happened)

i have my own set of rules for them in my DICE google doc, they're split up by how importaint they are to DICE as a group. (there's also a lil code language in here- all you really need to know is a fool is a member, a misfit is someone who isn't but is still associated with them, and a mavrick is someone who isn't associated at all)

some of them are serious and have stories behind them (like the name in vain one actually was added after Kokichi himself had a crashout and acted solo as a DICE member), and others are just shit you know was tacked on in a bid to make them stop (like the barn one)

it's like- he recognizes his voice, hair, maybe even smile- while they're interacting as thief and detective, he knows this fucker is this one annoying (and cute) guy from his collage, but he just can't fuckin' find any solid evidence to actually back it up. his boss ain't gonna just accept "he sounds like this guy i know" as evidence but Kokichi is so good at covering his tracks he can't actually tie it back to him

Kokichi knows he knows too, but he never outright admits it because he knows Shuichi could use that as a confession of guilt, so instead he just torments Shuichi on campus with vague teases and a little "idk what you're talking about :)" when Shuichi tries to get something out of him

revisiting this because i remembered randomly that i have an alternate version of this au where Kokichi and Miu are a duo doing this shit.

the basic concept behind it was they were inspired by Dylan himself and decided to start doing the same thing but with mostly japanese recipes (i say mostly because they both have mixed families and sometimes bring in french/chinese horror dishes they've heard of that way). because they're a duo tho, they have the ability to bounce off one another and do more chaotic shit in the process. they also take turns recording in each other's houses, and sometimes they'll rope their siblings in for the taste test just to torture them

bonus: my hc Kokichi has a stunted sense of taste so he can't tase anything nearly as well as Miu can, resulting in a halarious discrepancy in the intensity of their reactions to the taste test

i've talked about this on the ronpa discord i'm in but i don't think i've ever made a post about it, so i'm doing that now

i think B Dylan Hollis's content is very Kokichi core.

Kokichi would be the fucker to make videos where he chaotically follows questionable recipes from history while creatively cussing out the dishes, cracking gay jokes, and screaming "ciminim!!!".

i was given this suggestion after picking the brains of my favorite Danganronpa Discord

Candy maker Kokichi

first off, Kokichi and his sweet tooth would love spending time around candy, he'd love getting to make sweets. Second off we're talkin' true hand crafted candy here, hardly any machinery- this means this is another twunkichi fule au. If you've never seen someone make handmade candy go watch a video please, it's so cool.

The concept here is Kokichi works at a candy making place that has those windows where you can watch the candy maker pull, cut, and shape candy- and Shuichi frequently goes there to watch him because he's very gay. Kokichi of course notices Shuichi's facination, and thinking he isn't bad himself he starts to silently flirt at him when there aren't any kids nearby.

Knowing them Kokichi probably tries to get into contact with Shuichi while he's not working,and through some trial an error he managed to catch him. from there they do the standard gay thing where they flirt, Kokichi be's a little shit and teases him, Shuichi feels kinda gross for coming in just to check him out and Kokichi reasures him with a joke or two, they kiss probably.

ya know they homo.

so there's this one soulmate au concept i saw bumping around that i kinda wanna adapt into a cute saiouma au with a zest of mild angst.

the soulmate au was pretty simple; when people fall in love with someone, they get a little tallymark on their wrist; every new person they fall for is a new tally. if the person they fall in love with feels the same and confesses to them, their tally turns red and they stop reciving tallymarks

i wanna add to this by going; while red is confirmed requieted, grey tallymarks are un-answered/default and black are confirmed rejections. this is my little angst gadget :)

so. Saiouma in this au.

Kokichi, having a habit of falling in love easily, has a lot of tally marks. looking at his wrist spells out his path though it. this first few are black from early on trying to hard, then only grey up to his most recent tally. it's clear Kokichi stopped trying early on after several heartbreaks and just ignored his feelings to save himself from hurt and more black tallys.

Shuichi doesn't have nearly as many tallymarks as Kokichi, not even close, but unlike Kokichi's mix of black and grey- he only has black tallys. Shuichi didn't fall in love often, but when he did he fell for the one person in every situation who wouldn't feel the same.

I think it'd be fun if they found out about one another's awful tallymark messes, and Kokichi proposed jokingly that they make a silly club between just the two of them called the unloveable club. it was just a joke but after the suggestion Shuichi did start to hang around Kokichi more, and both began to refer to their meetups as "unloveable club meetings"

from here they both earn new a new tallymark by falling for one another during their hangouts, and it becomes a fun little game of "do i tell him and risk our friendship, or not say anything and let him keep thinking he's unloveable?". of cource gay shennanigans and a crap ton if accidental friendzoning ensues.

read something about roller skating and now i'm thinking about roller skating again.

i've done skating aus before so it'll be a challange to do something new here, but i think i got something. so hear me out- rave skating party

many skating rinks do have late night adult skating, and it isn't unheard of for a skating rink to be booked for some sorts party- tho they're usually birthdays. in this case i propose some scene kids- and by scene kids i mean DICE- decide it'd be fun to book a private late night party so they could host a skating rave

i do enjoy me some Kokichi scene kid propaganda, and him doing something as fun as hosting a wild party at a skating rink sounds pretty on brand

and of course if you wanna saiouma this, perhaps Shuichi was invited by a friend as a plus one to this rave (i don't really think he'd show up otherwise) and he ends up seeing Kokichi out on the rink while watching everyone from the sidelines, and he nearly hurts himself choking on his own spit cause holy shit he's cute

maybe Kokichi even sees Shuichi's hot ass staring and decies to pull him out onto the rink and have a nice skate and chat with him, making Shuichi nearly implode because one; cute guy invited him to skate with him, and two; cute guy is skating backwards and he's worried he's going to run into someone but by some miracle he manages to dodge everybody

a little update on my move:

i am offically set up in my room with only a few minor things left to put up on the walls, but the rest of the house is still really hectic and i'm hardly hanging on to sanity rn. this has been alot on me emotionally and physically and my brain hasn't had the chance to slow down, let alone think about my blorbos.

i was gonna come back in the next three days, but between the stress im trying to recover from and the fact that i havent done anything to fill my drafts at all in the past week, i might have to take a little longer than three days. we'll see tho

Kokichi would be the best worst series writer ever.

hi i'm back again with the Kokichi being creative again, this time it's Beez fault. today we are thinking about Kokichi being a creator of some form of story that updates (cartoon, comic, podcast, novel, etc) but he's just the worst menace about how lore and foreshadowing is delevered

i'm talking putting red-herrings in the surface level stuff and major hints tucked way in offhand gags, things that sound like they're contradictory or plot holes but later on get seamlessly tied together, a countless amount of trolling on social media that makes fans not believe a word he says only for him to drop the biggest spoiler casually and cause everyone to double check everything to make sure he was actually lying before. he'd be a complete menace

Kokichi would be sitting at his computer clapping his hands in glee as his fans look like that one stringboard meme. funniest part? the media isn't even actually that complicated in it's plot, he just made it feel that way with his antics

one of them there aus where Kokichi is a guy people in the town he lives in fears, but lets making a bit halloweenish and involve his family with a touch of the Adams

that sounds like nonsense but hear me out okay- the Oumas are a weird but loving family right? and the live in a manor in the local forest. nobody actually knows who lives there tho- the Oumas are known vaguely as a very weird and kinda mysterious family, but no one knows they live in the manor- but there is rumors that the inhabitance are vampires.

come spooky season people like to start snooping around the manor in hopes to catch some paranormal stuff, and the Oumas have a ball spooking the shit out of people who do this. while the rest of the family sticks to mimicking paranormal beings like ghosts and ghouls, Kokichi likes to take the opportunity to go out with DICE and use their status as a prankster group to keep up the mystery around the manor. is it truely haunted and/or filled with vampires? or is DICE behind all the spooks?

sometimes DICE and Kokichi will even prank a group of people and reveal themselves to lower their guard and think the haunts are jus them, and then Kokichis' siblings or parents will start a spook and DICE will pretend to react so the people they're with think it's real

bonus points if you can Saiouma this with like- Shuichi being into the paranormal or something and getting swept up by DICE and the Ouma family

i keep thinking about casual theater actor Kokichi playing a death god from this one play i like cause i think Kokichi would kill it in the role, and it got me thinking about some prime saiouma simpping that Kokichi acting in plays could create

this is specifically about costumes, i think depending on the show Shuichi has a chance of finding Kokichi extra attractive while in costume. some costumes aren't all that flattering, but there's plenty of characters out there who have outfits Shuichi would see Kokichi in and wonder how could he possibly be that cute-

and if the costume design or script demands Kokichi be shirtless for whatever reason... well Shuichi's going to be having issues
