tempted to project my strange relationship with the emotion of missing people onto henry

#melonposting #for me i've only ever missed people whom i've felt understood me in a way which fundamentally nobody else could #and to that end i missed them because i feel like a certain need of mine would/could never be met again #while in every other context i don't miss people even if i love them very much. i don't miss them at all. it's very odd #to apply that to henry then... he missed randall terribly for that reason. on instinct #but he wouldn't long for any of his other friends in their absence #and he'd have to contend with the fact that he has to choose to be invested in them #instead of having it be some instinctual need #i've already explored how his relationship to randall overrides so many other things in his life #including his relationships to angela and dalston #this would put a new spin on that...#and it would be a combination of things. he underestimates the closeness he has with them too #so it would be the sort of thing where if one of them was away he wouldn't think to reach out #and wouldn't automatically expect them to be upset for him not doing so #that sort of thing. i don't think he realizes how much other people love him and the consequences of that #he doesn't think other people find him as important as they do #so he underestimates how much he can break their hearts by denying his own importance to them #which involves thinking they wouldn't be affected by his not staying in touch #and similar things like that

i have such a love for characters who descend into madness or villainy out of deep, deep empathy. characters who fundamentally cannot cope with the cruel realities they find themselves in and blow up about it in spectacular fashion. fallen angel type characters with tears of outrage in their eyes. characters who break before they bend, and break so badly they splatter blood all over their noble ideals. every variation on it gets me so good

No, this was not an ISAT reference!

Just because I use parentheses and 2nd person pov and love the same concepts of what a time loop can do to a person doesn't mean it's ISAT

Drift’s “Dead end” design is my Roman Empire…

Like. His Crystal City look is great. His mtmte look is also great. And the Lost Light one too. But when I look at this specific design eh idk there’s something very special about it. It’s the way he was created by Cybertron if I’m not wrong. I love this colour scheme. It’s so calm and simple.
