Debating having a second, parallel fic to dr1 end rewrite that's just. memories.
And then sometimes posting one of those instead of a main fic update to show what memories Kyoko's recovering as time goes on, while also giving a better look (albeit out of order) of stuff that happened prior to the Killing Game.
....
The first chapter would be the first all girls sleepover that Kyoko goes to. Because I think that's apt.
#musings#bandit writes fic#bandit brainstorms#dr1 end rewrite fic#in theory the all girls sleepover is not a one time event#like in my head each of the girls take turns hosting#sayaka or hina actually probably host first#celeste won't host a full on sleepover bur she will host a tea instead and then kicks them all out when she wants to sleep#celeste never does the sleepover part; she always leaves when she wants to rest#i don't think chihiro goes for the same reason he doesn't doing any work out stuff with hina or sakura in thh#(yes i will use he/him for chihiro because the game presents that as what he eventually wants to use#and also because chiaki refers to him as /father/)#and i think for a while kyoko is so focused on detective stuff that she gives off that aloof air and either#1) most of the girls are too intimidated to invite her#and/or 2) she says no initially because she's in the middle of doing something else this is not the time for frivilousness#and also 3) i don't think kyoko understands the concept of how to friends or how to girls sleepover#so having that as the first unlocked memory would set some of that up pretty well#(and later memories could be earlier than that to showcase how she got to that point with them - why she decided to go that time)#memories can jump around in time#AND#they can be unlockables!#like /you made it past chapter one; here is your prize!/#sort of things?#and then even if main fic isn't enogiri#the memories fic very much would be

Cuddling headcanons with danganronpa 2 girls
A/n:I did this with the girls from the first game a while ago so came back for round 2
Chiaki nanami
Cuddling with chiaki is very common she gets sleepy very often and takes a lot of naps throughout the day, but now, instead of randomly falling asleep on the couch she'll use the last of her strength to find you hug you and ask to cuddle.
There are two types of ways cuddling with chiaki goes. She's either already asleep the moment you start and her breathing helps you sleep too, or you cuddle while she's playing on her Nintendo in comfortable silence.
She's the little spoon and it's really hard to do otherwise cause she has a pretty small frame overall, she will try her best if you really want it though
Those rare times when she'll talk during cuddle time she's infodumping on whatever video game she's currently playing.
Mahiru koizumi
Mahiru enjoys cuddling once in a while, especially whenever she's stressed because of dealing with hiyoko all day or just feeling affectionate.
If you're the type to randomly hug her and ask to cuddle without warning her face will become as red as her hair whenever you do she's not that used to physically affection.
She preferes being the little spoon but doesn't mind if you switch.
She obviously takes pictures of you two cuddling you look so sweet and cute she can't help but want to immortalize this moments
Peko pekoyama
Peko is not used to physical affection at all, so she'll almost never initiate or request cuddles, but she would never reject any request you have so if you say you want to cuddle she'll drop what's she's doing and hug you.
She's the big spoon, and there is no way to change that. She's incredibly protective of you even when there is no danger around and she just wants you to feel safe in her arms.
She still keeps her sword on her while cuddling for the same reason and reassures you that it's not uncomfortable for her and she's used to it
She has a pretty low body temperature in general so she'll apologize if she's too cold but you fix that with a bunch of blankets.
Ibuki mioda
Ibuki enjoys every single type of physical affection and is very much a cuddle bug. Whenever she wants cuddles, she'll annoy you until you say yes.
She likes being the little spoon cause it's the best way to nuzzle in your chest and she loves feeling your arms around her.
She absolutely loves kissing you wherever, especially during cuddle time, your neck, cheeks, lips, chest, there won't be a place that ibuki hasn't kissed
Ibuki likes singing her songs when she cuddles, not realizing that the entire point of cuddling is relaxing and that all of her songs are really loud, so it gets kinda annoying after a while even if you love her voice and songs
Mikan tsumiki
Due to her past, mikan is both touch starved and kinda touch averse, so it will take a while of you dating for her to feel completely comfortable with physical affection, but once she does, she absolutely adores cuddling you
She's for sure the little spoon. You're basically the only person whose touch makes her feel safe, secure, and relaxed so she'll practically melt in your arms
One exception to her being the little spoon is whenever you're sick or injured. Her nurse instincts take over, and she feels the need to take care of you in every way possible, including warming you up with her body heat If possible.
She likes to vent to you while you cuddle sometimes about her classmates or her patients or even her past she's happy to have someone who can listen to her and not judge her and your embrace makes her feel so safe she feels like she can say anything to you.
Akane owari
Her attitude towards cuddles depends on how akane is feeling at the moment there are some moments when she's feeling cuddly and will ask for them but she most days she waits for you to want to cuddle.
She is the definition of a big spoon she's tall and muscular it'd be impressive if she could fit in your arms at all. Luckily she has absolutely no problems holding you tight (something she slightly hurts you because it's too tight)
She loves eating at all times and that includes while cuddling whatever snacks she can get her hands on she will eat them while holding you. She doesn't really care if she leaves crumbs either.
She does sometimes enjoy cuddling after an intense training to relax but she'll apologize if she's too sweaty.
Sonia nevermind
Sonia wasn't too familiar with cuddling before you two started dating. Sure, she'd heard couples do that, but she never actually experienced them, but when you introduced them to her they become one of her favorite ways to spend time with you
She likes to switch between big and little spoon depending on what she feels like in the moment she will make sure that you feel comfortable with it too of course.
She likes to tell you stories about novoselic or some specific cultures or fun facts about it she thinks you'll like
She also likes to read books and drink tea together during cuddle time, she'd love it if you read together

Danganronpa Characters Watching a Move (at the cinema)
Eats all their food before the movie starts:
Akane - Foodie
Aoi - No self control when it comes to food
Hiro - Somehow accidentally eats it all
Kaito - Trips while walking up the stairs and spills it everywhere.
Nagito - Eats it during the trailers
Cries when the supporting character/animal dies:
Chihiro - Cries when the dog dies
Gundham - Also cries when the dog dies
Himiko - ALSO cries when the dog dies
Kaede - "They were such a supportive character *sniff, sob*"
Mikan - (She cried because the opening was too loud)
Peko - She cried when the dogs were separated in the street
Sakura - "What a loyal character"
Sonia - Cries when the dog dies
Monomi/Usami - "They didn't deserve that" <- Animal and Character
Nekomaru - "They took one for the team... that's loyalty... *sniffling*"
Throws Popcorn/Food at People:
Fuyuhiko - He hits the couple infront of him while they're kissing
Hiyoko - She dumps it on the people being too loud and laughs at them
Kokichi - Throws from far away, Kaito gets blamed and escorted out
Leon - Incredible accuracy, hits the screen when the characters talk, often lands "in their mouths"
Mondo - Throwing popcorn with Leon, missing most of the time, but still having fun.
Monotaro - Dumps it all on his siblings
Gets kicked out of the cinema:
Junko - Already got a permanent ban from it, escorted out on sight.
Kazuichi - Somehow accidentally does something really bad and has to be escorted out, he leaves with Kaito.
Mukuro - Saw the prices of her favourite slushie go up by 50c and threatened the cashier with a hunting knife.
Teruteru - He was innapropriate to the female worker/s.
Monokuma - Escorted out on sight, left right after sneaking in with Junko.
Talking the Whole Time (mostly gets popcorn thrown at them):
Angie - I don't know why, but I think she would.
Ibuki - Extremely loud and constantly gets "shushed"
Hifumi - Rambles about the actors and their voice overs in different anime.
Sayaka - Accidentally unaware, always notices easter eggs
Kiyotaka - Unaware socially and doesn't realise it's wrong
Tenko - Screams at the screen whenever a male comes on, gets shushed constantly and is escorted out to the lobby to wait for the movie to finish.
Monokid - He's just really loud.
Watching the Movie in Peace:
Imposter/Twogami - He's chill about the movie, eats his food quickly and constantly gets up to get more.
Chiaki - Relaxing, fell asleep after the first song/instrumental
Kirumi - Picking up rubbish/popcorn from the floor to help the workers. Stays late to assist with cleanup.
Korekiyo - Occasionally comments, but enjoys the movie nevertheless.
Kyoko - Still and silent, making sligh "huh" "ohhh" noises when she realises plot twists are coming up.
Monodam - Tells everybody to get along, sits with Monomi/Usami and tells the people around him to shush.
Shuichi - Done with everybodies shit by the end, but tolerates it for the other viewers sakes'.
Rantaro - He got no development, I didn't know where to put him.
Ryoma - Sits at the front because he can't see over the seats, quiet and isn't bothered by the others.
Spoils it on Accident:
Keebo - "I read an online forum" and then spoils the majority of the movie.
Mahiru - Searched all the actors on IMDB, watched trailers, found many full movie essay reviews on the movie before buying tickets, went on rotten tomatos for reviews. She wanted to get her moneys worth!
Makoto - Already seen it before because it was trending a week prior, accidentally spoils it but the people next to him don't mind.
Tsumugi - Got spoilers by Mahiru, was already in the fandom, came in cosplay and spoiled a bunch of it while rambling.
Gonta - "Gonta heard (spoils entire plot, then starts talking about the bee movie)"
Monophanie - "Hm I watched a movie like this... (<- It was the movie they were watching and she spoiled it all.)
Hajime - "Oh no... I'm a failure!" "Yes Hajime, a reserve course student hanging out with the Ultimates... you should be a stepping stone!" (<- He then gets mad at Nagito and spoils it to him purposefully, others hear though.)
Spoils it on Purpose:
Byakuya - Ruins the fun for his own enjoyment
Monosuke - Just wants to be annoying
Celestia - Somebody annoyed her because they took too long to order tickets, she got mad and spoiled it for the rest of the cinema loudly when she walked out of the movie.
Miu - Does it for shits and giggles
Toko - Depending on her mood. She gets mad at somebody next to her and yells at them.
Maki - Was in a bad mood when she walked in, only spoiled it because Kaito was escorted out due to Kokichis bad behaviour.
I LOVE MAKING THESE TELL ME YOUR OPINIONS BELOW!

Is Makoto still the ultimate hope in mini thh au? Would any of the cast find out? What was their reaction?
Yes, he's still the Ultimate Hope! (For the most part, the plot of THH has still happened in this AU, so the larger premise around why everyone is in this killing game is still the same. I have a few different ideas about the exact details: the easiest explanation is that every kouhai who didn't survive the THH killing game is an AI like Chiaki, but I've thought of a few ways for it to be the real people. But that's for its own post, lol.)
I gotta say Nagito finds out first, lol. (In the version where he's with Nagito, that is. In the version where he's paired with Fuyuhiko, then Fuyuhiko finds out first and is way more normal about it.)
Here's how I'll say it shakes out:
Everyone receives their kouhais from Usami. Everyone's handbook has a list of which kouhai is assigned to which senpai and a file of basic information about their own kouhai. Like, age, Ultimate, blood type, favorite food. This is still a game about hope fragments at this point, so it's just there to give the senpais a better idea of how to take care of their kouhais and serve as a conversation starter. (No one has this kind of information about anyone else's kouhai.)
At that point, Makoto's Ultimate is just listed as Ultimate Lucky Student.
Nagito feels a basic kinship with him, on the basis of both being unimportant, and a complicated warmth that is verging on sympathy, on the basis of Makoto being someone for him to care for. (He takes every precaution he can think of to keep Makoto safe in any situation, but the back of his mind, as always, is preparing for a heartbreaking loss. Makoto is four inches tall, accident-prone, and clinging to Nagito's jacket. Anything can happen; he has to protect him from "anything".)
His feelings for Makoto shift to a more personal fondness as they continue to spend pretty much every minute of every day together. He likes to watch Makoto make friends with the other kouhais, likes hearing Makoto's voice chittering little comments in his ear as he goes about his day, likes talking to Makoto each night. He likes having a reason to take care of himself, because he has to take care of Makoto. He likes being associated with another person, instead of feeling like the odd one out. And he even likes that Makoto seems not to fully understand their place in the hierarchy. Makoto convinces him that their goal, in such a despairful killing game, shouldn't be for the Ultimates to win it on its own terms, but to reject the given terms and beat the game itself. There's a genuine bond of friendship and care between them.
The relief he always feels when he finds Makoto after he's somehow gotten tangled up in the laundry or his hoodie snags the side of a palm tree and he's just stuck there like a little caterpillar...it's an unsteadying feeling, but it's still relief. He teases Makoto, while his pulse is still slowing back down from its frantic sprint.
In short, throughout Chapter 1, he's in a place where he likes Makoto a lot. He's very vigilant about keeping him safe, and he's worried about how it would feel to lose him.
Also, and I don't think this is just Nagito: There's a kind of possessiveness one starts to feel toward a four-inch person who's assigned to be yours to protect and care for. I would say the one who feels this the least is Hajime, because Kyoko is often doing her own thing or trying to, and they kind of grow into a mutual respect more than anything, but pretty much everyone else has at least some level of "This person belongs to me" somewhere in their mind. It expresses itself in different ways, but it's there. For Nagito, it doesn't manifest too much outwardly, right away; he's just really glad to have someone who's his.
After each trial, slightly more information about each kouhai is added to their senpai's handbook.
Nagito would have learned this right after the first trial, but he gets tied up, so he can't check his handbook until after he's released.
When he does check his handbook, he sees that everything is the same except Makoto's talent is now listed as "Ultimate Lucky Student (+1)".
This causes him to see Makoto in a new light. Does he have another talent? How amazing! He already liked Makoto a lot, but now he gets really enthusiastic about his accomplishments and his potential.
Again, he learns this in mid-to-late Chapter 2, depending on the exact details of how the him-getting-untied thing plays out. Either way, he doesn't have too much time to do anything with the new information before the second trial happens and he gets some added context.
Now, there's a Fun Fact section in Makoto's file, which reads: "Makoto Naegi was brought into Hope's Peak Academy as his year's luckster after winning the annual lottery. His other talent was given to him unofficially by his classmates when he accomplished an extraordinary feat, and then shortly made official by faculty members of Hope's Peak."
So he has a bit more information in Chapter 3, and he starts trying to figure out what Makoto's talent is. The Despair Disease still happens, though, and Nagito still gets it, so Makoto goes to Hajime's care (dodged a bullet, there; if Nagito hadn't asked Hajime ahead of time to take care of Makoto if anything happened to him, Makoto would have gone to Mikan, resulting in a four-inch Ultimate Hope in Mikan's grasp if and when Remembering Disease hits) and Nagito can't look into things any more until after trial 3.
And after trial 3, Makoto's talents read, "Ultimate Lucky Student, Ultimate Hope".
Nagito just stares at the screen for a second.
Makoto, presumably somewhere on Nagito's body, breaks him out of his stupor by asking, "Ultimate Hope? What does that mean?"
Nagito quickly and gingerly takes Makoto and puts him in his little living space, and he kneels on the floor next to it (which is lined with pillows, for safety reasons) to speak to him. The fact that he's kneeling reads more like a pragmatic move than like a show of deference; he put Makoto down in his "room" and then, to continue the conversation, lowered himself so he could hear him. But he would usually do that by sitting in the cushioned seat, rather than kneeling on the floor, so his intentions were probably also to show deference.
"It means that you're even more incredible than we could have imagined," Nagito says fervently. "Oh, I should have known it; I should have seen it! I'm sorry for my ignorance. Of course, it was all so clear..."
"What do you mean?" Makoto asks warily. Nagito is getting...that way he sometimes gets, and he's getting that way about him.
"You were the one who said that the game of despair was not to be won on its own terms, but beaten by the standards of those who cherish hope!"
"That's...not exactly what I said..."
"At every step, it was you. I should have seen it." Nagito's voice has dropped to a reverent whisper. His hands are gripping the edge of the dresser.
Makoto walks closer. "Nagito, I don't want...This isn't going to affect our friendship, is it?"
"A friend to the Ultimate Hope," he marvels. "Is this the good luck to balance the killing game, or...? Ah, but I should be ashamed, talking about something as boring as luck to you now."
This is going to affect our friendship, Makoto surmises sadly. "I'm still the same person from before, right? Nothing's changed."
"Of course. That's what I meant when I said I should have seen it all along. Ah, I keep finding new ways to disappoint myself."
"Nagito...!"
Basically, for the duration of that conversation, Makoto keeps trying to bring them back to normal, but Nagito wants this to be a big deal.
None of the others know about Makoto's talent until Nagito tells them, and he doesn't tell them right away. He just starts acting different, and they don't know why.
He's the first to the dining hall, so early in the morning that he pretty much has to scoop Makoto out of bed while he's still sleeping and hold him delicately in his hands. He does his best to cook a nice breakfast for Makoto. It's his equivalent of breakfast in bed, since he can't actually leave Makoto in the cabin to go cook.
He finds linen napkins and lays one on the table for Makoto to finish sleeping on, and he just sits there, patiently waiting for Makoto to be ready to eat his food.
When the others come in and the dining room is full, some of them might exchange the new information they've learned about their kouhais, depending on what it is. Since Monokuma's in charge of the updates, a lot of it is probably really private, so maybe they speak in vague terms. The others gradually notice that Nagito is being different with Makoto. More constantly attentive, more praiseful.
Kyoko prompts Hajime to ask if Nagito has learned Makoto's second talent.
Nagito says something like, "What an amazing talent. I should have known all along."
After some pestering from the group that he chooses to be cryptic about, he lets Chiaki take his handbook and read it for herself.
"Ultimate Hope."
The group now fully understands why Nagito is being weird about Makoto. Their reactions are mostly curiosity and sympathy for Makoto's plight, but no one but Nagito feels too strongly about the title itself. Hajime does wonder if Makoto's forgotten talent has anything to do with his own forgotten talent.
And then once Nagito discovers the truth about the Remnants, he becomes EXTREMELY protective of Makoto and lowkey mad at himself for letting the others know what his talent is. Retroactively, he thinks a part of him must have known not to trust them with something so important, which is why he didn't tell them right away.

DR Characters Assigned DC Roles
The main premise of this is that Shuichi Saihara as Robin 3 is both dating civilian Kokichi Oma as Bernard Dowd and flirting/being flirted with by his alter ego Stray. Shuichi has no idea Kokichi is Stray but Kokichi definitely knows Shuichi is Robin 3. What order do these events happen in? Who knows!
The Bats and Birds
Batman (The Bat): Kyoko Kirigiri
Agent A: Makoto Naegi
Robin 1, Nightwing: Kaede Akamatsu
Robin 2, Red Hood: Hajime Hinata
Robin 3, Red Robin: Shuichi Saihara
Spoiler, Robin 4, Batgirl (Batboy): Kaito Momota
Robin 5: Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu
Batgirl, Oracle: Chiaki Nanami
Black Bat, Batgirl, Orphan: Maki Harukawa
Batwoman: Aoi Asahina
Signal: Yasuhiro Hagakure
The Cats
Catwoman: Celestia Ludenberg
Stray & Bernard Dowd: Kokichi Oma
The Rogues
Joker: Junko Enoshima
Punchline: Mukuro Ikusaba
Harley Quinn: Toko Fukawa
Poison Ivy: Komaru Naegi
Blackmask: Mondo Owada
Penguin: Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Scarecrow: Miu Iruma
Bane: Nekomaru Nidai
Mr. Freeze: Teruteru Hanamura
Riddler: Hifumi Yamada
Mad Hatter: Angie Yonaga
Deathstroke: Tsumugi Shirogane
The League of Assassins
Ra's al Ghul: Haiji Towa
Talia al Ghul: Korekiyo Shinguji
Prudence Wood: Peko Pekoyama
The Outlaws
Starfire: Sonia Nevermind
Arsenal: Nagito Komaeda
Bizarro: Ibuki Mioda
Teen Titans
Beast boy: Gundham Tanaka
Raven: Himiko Yumeno
Wonder girl: Tenko Chabashira
Superboy 1 a.k.a Conner Kent (Supergirl): Akane Owari
Kidflash: Mahiru Koizumi
Cyborg: K1b0
Aquaboy (Aquagirl): Hiyoko Saionji
Superboy 2 a.k.a. Jonathan Kent: Masaru Daimon
The Justice League
Superman (Superwoman): Sakura Ogami
Wonder Woman: Kirumi Tojo
Green Arrow: Byakuya Togami
Aquaman: Leon Kuwata
Martian Manhunter: Ultimate Imposter
Green Lantern: Kazuichi Soda
Captain Marvel: Nagisa Shingetsu
Flash: Chihiru Fujisaki
Zatanna: Sayaka Maizono
Black Canary: Mikan Tsumiki
Most of these characters have been assigned DC roles based on their personalities, regardless of gender (except for Superboy and Bizarro since they're clones of Superman so have to be the same gender as him)! I included some Rogues, League of Assassins, Outlaws, Teen Titans and Justice Leaguers because the Batfam interact with them a lot.
In my mind, Kyoko Kirigiri is together with Makoto Naegi and has been for the long term but her as the Bat and Celestia Ludenberg as Catwoman share some flirtatious banter.
Hajime Hinata as Robin 2 died and came back, and when he did he came back different. How much you want to lean into Jason Todd's backstory or Hajime Hinata's and whether you want to include Izuru Kamukuru is up to you.
Kaito Momota may or may not have had an unsuccessful romantic relationship with Shuichi when he was Spoiler and Shuichi was Robin 3. This can be prior to Shuichi meeting Kokichi or Robin 3 and Stray could have had some playful banter going on during this time (this works because Shuichi actually dates civilian Kokichi, which could be after he and Kaito break up). Kaito could be with Maki now!
Yes, this character assignment does mean that Masaru Daimon is Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu's best friend. Yes, that is hilarious.
I was running out of DR characters near the end so I started swapping some around to find suitable Justice Leaguers. Masaru was originally Captain Marvel but then that only left Kotoko Utsugi as an option for Superboy 2 and I thought Fuyuhiko would hate her. So, Masaru became Superboy 2 and Nagisa Shingetsu Captain Marvel. Byakuya Togami was originally assigned as Lucius Fox, the manager of WE, but I had to swap him to Green Arrow because he was just too perfect for that!
I hope you enjoyed! Please like, comment and reblog. Your support is much appreciated.

Slightly late to the Madara madness but I’m dragging it back into conversation because you’ve reminded me of the sheer amount of emotions I have about Madara’s first appearance to Alkaloid (and audience to a degree)
The gang just got done having an encouraging talk with each other and then Hiiro’s immediately like “speaking of communicating with each other I should tell you there’s some spooky ass energy going on behind that door” and Tatsumi opens it to protect the others, is greeted by the fucking hulk who tells him his name but that says they can just call him mama. He then takes one look at Tatsumi and decides “oh I could probably pick you up” and just. Does it. And then puts him back down when he asks because Tatsumi knows if he didn’t Hiiro would start biting people. Then IMMEDIATELY transitions into trying to get hired by the boys to train them because thwarting Eichi sounds fun, sees Mayoi and again IMMEDIATELY transitions into “man if only one of your buddies here happened to be a cryptic ass dance instructor. They should totally dance battle me about it not because I took one look at them and decided I was allowed to be the only schizophrenic in the room but for your guys’ stake… please” and then he gets his ass handed to him and just. Doesn’t leave. And continues to just watch them practice.
Now for something literally completely unrelated I don’t know too much about Chiaki but the more I look at him the more I just see the anti Madara/Mayoi. With them on the “If I form an even slightly close relationship with someone I have to return to nature until they forget my existence” and him on the “If I don’t leave our very first conversation with their number, an address and an itinerary for our week hangout next month I did it wrong” end
LITERALLYYYY ITS SO FUNNY. HE KNEW HE WOULD LOSE THE BATTLE TOO . HE KNEW MAYOI WAS A BETTER DANCER THAN HIM . HE DID IT CUZ HE KNEW MAYOI WOULD NEVER OFFER TO BE THEIR OFFICIAL TRAINER OTHERWISE AND IF HIS PLAN BACKFIRES THEN HE GETS TO MESS W EICHI . SO WIN WIN . BUT OFC HE DOES IT IN THE MOST ROUNDABOUT WAY POSSIBLE. GOD.
also yes chiaki and madara being foils was definitely intentional . chiaki is everything madara hoped to become as a kid and what he wishes he couldve been now, as well as a living reminder of his own shortcomings. chiakis presence also reinforces and draws attention to madaras social alienation by highlighting how when madara was exiled, he left all sorts of holes in the lives of his friends and family that chiaki has now filled in his absence— ryuseitai captain*, the reliable bright kid his family (and kanatas family) saw him as that granted him his position as kanatas caretaker, someone his friends can count on, and most importantly, kanatas hero.
* madara himself handed down the position of captain to chiaki when he left ryuseitai, but part of that choice (as well as the choice to isolate himself and become a solo unit) was him acknowledging chiaki is better suited to the role and finally surrendering after years of fighting to become what chiaki currently is, and accepting his fate (or more accurately what he believes his fate to be) of being past his point of usefulness, now destined to be alone, biding his time and waiting until his death after having failed the one purpose he believes he was born to fulfill (saving kanata). tldr; madara handed chiaki the role of ryuseitai captain because he believed chiaki was better suited to the role and to denote that hes given up on himself (hence his reasoning for forming double face and taking the risks he does: having nothing left to lose now that hes already lost everything. but thats getting into a different topic so i digress)

Can you do Dogboy Chiaki/General Chiaki hcs (both sfw and nsfw!!!) Mayhaps....
RAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE HYBRID CHARAVYERSSSS SI LOVE YOU/P ANON YOURE AMAOZONF YE SI FAM FO TEJM
character hcs with chiaki morisawa
sfw nsfw under read more
i had to make a header this is kinda fun might do thus more ofennbfyhhn....
sketch info: sex, just headcanons i guess!
SFW SECTION STARTS
chiaki morisawa is passionate, very passionate about things he likes, and he likes you! puppyboy chiaki would be way worse, too. He talks about you like you're a virus, in a positive way, of course, and he gets really touchy cause.. yknow? He's also a really big pda guy, holds your hand, kisses you, pets your head, and enjoys taking you out on dates n stuff... yeaaah.. there are no sad moments with this redhead or brunette.. i dont know what he is, but he is a great boyfriend!
this boy is a crybaby. it's horrible. whenever he's happy with you, tears, whenever youre sad, tears, whenever youre angry with anything, tears! its cute, and you can tell hes being sincere with it. chiakis spirit is so endearing and it encourages you, but your heart gets as heavy as a feather every time he looks at you when hes proud of anything. his eyes shine so bright, like stars!
Dogboy chiaki's tail is constantly wagging, no matter what. around you or the other group member, it's really funny cause when he hits his tail on other things, he jumps and is like, "What? huh?" and then keeps doing it, hes just so happy! and i know hes a smart guy, taking care of you and literally forcing you to look up to him. feels kinda... hot? idk lol, but when you flip it around on him and do things for him, Again. forcing HIM to look up to you, he feels so loved but so confused lol!!!
takes you on movie dates, goes to the park with you and stuff, its cute AND THEN HE POSTS THEM ON HIS SOCMEDS SOFT LAUNCHING YOU😭 and baseball games are a must with him, he introduces you to so much new stuff and its amazing AND THE INFO DUMPS ARE CRAZY.
but there are some times when his self-esteem gets low, and he NEEDS you there for him, He'll ask first, though, but he knows he doesn't need to. because you love him. reassure the sweet boy and kiss his forehead
i dont know what else to add im too focused on dmnd stream, sorry!
NSFW SECTION START...
Chiaki is definitely passionate, can't you tell? his eyes look like they've got fire in them when he looks at you, he will bite your lip every time you kiss, yes hes a loser, no hes not bad at sex.
While he fucks you, or if you roll that way, if you fuck him, he needs to be so close to you that neither of you can think. his smile is so charming while doing it, it feels like hes teasing you. speaking of teasing, i feel like he would rile you up on purpose, just to get a reaction of some sort out if you. pinching your nipples, nibbling at the shell of your ear.
and he has some embarrassing habits after sex, i feel he would say something stupid to lighten the mood, or end up talking to himself.
he overworks himself, and whos there to take care of him? you. somnophilia is also a yes with him. use him or have him use you, fuck him to sleep!
toys are one of the things he would use on you, or you would use on him very often. subby chiaki cries easily and cums so messily whenever you tease his cock. speaking of dick, haha.. his is thick and slightly longer than average n his balls are heavy, so full :v + hes uncircumcised.
puppy boy chiaki is even more enthusiastic about sex because he wants to make you feel good, yknow? He's uncontrollable, humping your thighs to get off while you're busy, making you suck him off even when you're busy, but i know he's doing his best. he holds your hand whether youre fucking him or hes fucking you, either way, hes still feeling good. tug at his tail n he's just gonna melt, chiaki gets submissive very quickly with you and jus wants to take care of you rather than you take care of him. he gives up easily though!
and im giving up right here, i gotta keep drawing enstars bodies
sorryyy im getting sleepy!!!

Hi sorry I died for a while but I've been waiting for my computer to be fixed so I can draw pretty stuff again (yes it's taken like 6 months). Now please consider my thoughts on what animals different danganronpa characters would be
I tried to make sure there weren't any duplicates unless the characters are related and some of these I've put more thought into lol
Yasuhiro is a goat but like the fainting ones because it sounds funny and I can see him freezing up and falling over.
Junko and ikusaba are both chihuahuas because they're super cute but stereotypically people say they're little demons and that fits junko, she seems innocent but is just a big meanie. And I see ikusaba as being like a buff chihuahua who's all awkward but could eat you alive.
Makoto and Komaru are ferrets, ferrets need other ferrets for inrichment and that's basically makoto he wants friends to be happy. Also I think ferrets are very silly, I have 4 named noodle, little man, chonk, and rebel (like Starbuck).
Kyoko is a cat, I felt like a cat could match many different characters but I believe that she fits a cat the most. Cats are cute but pretty solitary also I think it matches with the fact she isn't very scary compared to some characters (ik she's like mysterious type scary and stone cold but I think she's a cutie).
Fukawa is a skunk bc she's stinky.
Byakuya is a cheetah and I thought about this quite a bit, I had a few different ideas on what to pick but honestly I think since he's blonde he's obviously a cheetah!! Duh!!
Asahina is an otter bc swimming and cute.
Sakura... I had so much trouble deciding this one ommmgg 😭 I was thinking about bigger animals and like martial arts and I was thinking about a gorilla and how they like punch their chests. It's the best I could come up with.
Leon is a weasel because I could see a weasel trying baseball and not liking it very much.
Sayaka is a panda because people love pandas and I could see a panda singing pop music.
Chihiro is a bunny because cute and small, also he's like Judy hops cuz he and her wanna prove they're stronge or smth 💪🏻
Mondo is an alligator bc grrrr scary 🐊
Hijumi is a walrus bc his lips kinda look like a walrus and he's chunky like a walrus, I thought of a hamster too but I thought it fit another character better.
Ishimaru I can see being a Labrador dog bc he's a silly little guy. He'd be the dog that barks at flys.
Celeste is a fruit bat bc vampire bat is what she wishes she was so she tries to be scary and goth but she's just a cute fuzz baby.
Nagito is a wolf bc he's literally wolf in sheep's clothing but he's also kinda cute.
Hajime is a panther who doesn't know how to be a panther, he tries to be a house cat.
Teruteru is a mouse bc ratatouille but I wanted him to be a mouse bc they're smaller and I think someone else fits the rat better.
Twogami I was thinking maybe a pig who wears cheetah fur or smth, like he wears the animal skin of what he's imitating.
Pekoyama is a gazelle bc they're coooool.
Mahiru is a red panda cuz they're small and cute and red like her hair
Soda is a rat bc I can imagine him being a sewer rat who smells bad in his silly little jumper.
Sonia is a swan bc they're elegant and pretty like a princess.
Fuyuhiko is a honey badger bc they're not very big but they give 0 fucks abt anything.
Tanaka is a Vulture and everyone's like 'whaaat a vulture taking care of hamsters???? Craaazy he'll eat them' but really he loves his little guys and would never.
Nekomaru is a lion bc team work and big.
Akane is a jaguar bc big and grrrr.
Chiaki is a sugar glider bc tiny and cute.
Saionji is the basilisk bc I can see her Jesus running on water.
Ibuki is a parrot bc caawww and repeating people and singing bird.
Mikan is a possum bc they faint when scared and that's funny haha but also I think they're cute.
Kamukura is a panther but he knows how to be a panther and doesn't wanna be a house cat like Hajime.
Shuichi is a coyote bc he ain't a big wolf but he isn't a tiny dog, he's like in the middle and he's adaptable I'd say.
Kaede is a spider monkey cuz they're like very social but can be aggressive and I think kaede is a more bold but friendly character (ignoring pregame)
Amami is idk!!! I thought about it alot and I stuck with a tortus or a super chill deer.
Maki is like a black mamba cuz they're fast and when I think of an assassin I think of snakes. Also I believe black mambas aren't super aggressive unless bothered and I think this applies to Maki. She isn't aggressive really for no reason she might be sassy sometimes but she isn't gonna throttle you for no reason at all.
Himiko is a dove bc magician.
Kiibo is a chicken bc it made me think of the robot chicken TV channel thing.
Tsumugi is a fox bc cute and pretty but sneaky and will probably give you rabies.
Kirumi is an owl because she seems wise and owls are usually depicted as wise in media.
Ryouma is a poison dart frog bc tiny but will kill you with his tennis balls.
Korekiyo is a giraffe bc tall and lanky.
Tenko is a mongoose and honestly idk why I couldn't think of anything else except maybe that lizard that's like only girls and reproduces asexually so they're all female lizards.
Angie is an African wolf dog bc they work really well when hunting and it would be her little cult of dogs.
Kaito is a border collie bc they're really smart but cute and people always assume they're dumb but they're very smart and everyone says Kaito is dumb but honestly he's gotta be smart to be an astronaut.
Kokichi is a racoon bc he's a trash panda who would also give you rabies.
Miu is a pelican bc she has a big mouth and doesn't shut upppppp!!
Gonta Is an eleghant bc usually elephants are pretty chill and they're suuuuper cute and big.
OK thanks for listening to my Ted talk I might post drawings of chiaki soon bc she's my favorite female danganronpa character and I love her

hey the BLACK-OUT fandom is . hungry. mayhaps. Do you. by chance. have content
yes i do actually in fact i was gonna reblog the info on the ask i sent but ill do it here.
SO
megumi did two years in the same college as keiji but went to an arts college in tokyo afterwards and then. moved to america. She subconsciously made it rlly hard for herself to stay in contact with her family because she just. wanted a break. she. wanted to get out of there she reaaally didnt wanna go back home even if she missed her sibilings. She felt so guilty about that she pushed back going back to japan even MORE because heh. pushing back. m.makes the guilt. go. away. r.right. h.a.ha
itsuki. okay. im a little stumped on him but. basically he continues into music, becoming freelance guitarist and doing a lot of solo shows, tryna make it as a solo artist. and? doing okay. He preforms at bars a lot, sometimes at fesitvals. will you guys understand if i said i was writing/coming up with his stuff while listening to song about you by tv girl. does that make sense? well. look at the lyrics. there. but its weird because compared to the other members...itsuki held on to those memories the most. that time changed him. Yes he was still a loner and could barely keep in contact chiaki but. yeah
okay. chiaki. my baby. After their parents transferred them to miyajo (same year megu and keiji graduated) things just. got worse. yes the fighting stopped (at least in school grounds it did) and yeah she did decent academically but he was so utterly alone and out of place that he himself decided that she. she isnt worthy of any of that. theyre never gonna have that ever again. fast forward a few years and chiaki works a fucking office job. all that. for an office job. Theyre thiiiiisss close to ending it every day, thiiisss close to taking one too many shots. she cant sleep, cigarrette addicted, good apartment but way too quiet. but hey. this is what they. uhm. wanted. ri.right.
and finally....my ugly son. He just. he just gave up. Yes he was still keiji takatsuki somewhat carefree fun-loving wanting to help others but. that naivety had completely disapeared. those dreams completely disapeared. He's happy with his body (yayay less dysphoria!!!) and. thats about it. SHIT apartment, SHIT jobs, but ya gotta keep positive right!!! righ??? right. hes become almost compeltely emotionally repressive, even more than he was in his high school years. Any sort of guilt, nostaligia, sadness, anything that makes him feel weak or...makes him remember what was left of both him and the others...turned off like a light! When he isnt working one of his jobs, hes at home, feeding the stray cats that sneak in and scratch him in the middle of the night, calling his mom telling her "everything's okay! No- i dont need money...no im not lonely...yes..im getting enough sleep" (all complete bs if u couldnt tell!!).
also i never mentioned this but their sekai is actually very developed in my head i just never wrote it down. Their/his sekai is a once beaming city, which broke down first when keiji was in high school in Otaru (b4 he moved 2 the shibuya region). He met black-out and. went to the sekai and. soon! the city was rebuilding. it was taking time, and the inital collapse had deeply affected the virtual singers...but things were getting better.
Then. they broke up.
and it was just demolished.
They used to visit it now and then but as the years passed...anywasy now its more of an apocolyptic/dusty city. Not overtaken by plants because...theres nothing to nurture it.
anyways, megumi finally decides to go back to japan. She meets with keiji first ofc because. yeah! well. he is surprised to say the least. He welcomes her in and its like meeting your high-school sweetheart again except you both cant handle intense emotions and. ugh. whareever
im kinda speeding thru this a lot happens but i suddenly remembered i have a HUGE ASS ASSIGNMENT DUE!!! which i forgot so. yeah x2 speed
it is a very long and tedious process and theyre still all utterly doomed and have many many personal issues but black-out DOES get revived !!! and this time. oh. theyre going for big. black-out 2: electric boogaloo
stupid heads

My souring sentiments on Sailor Moon's manga
It'll be a surprise to no one who knows me even remotely that Sailor Moon was my everything back in my childhood. From the age of 9, I was utterly obsessed with it.
That was just a couple of years shy of 30 years ago.
Since then, I've often revisited the series. I watched the entirety of the Viz dub of the classic anime; all 200 episodes.
And I loved it all the same, if not more so than before. Because now I have context for why exactly the anime was the way it was, including its gradual diversion from the manga source material. And I respect the hell out of the staff who poured their life into this work, while concurrently running with the manga and doing whatever it could to not completely outpace it in the narrative.
Are there a lot of fillers in the OG anime? Yes. Too many? Well, not so from a functional standpoint (this show had to run weekly for 5 years), but there are definitely some fillers you could skip and miss nothing in doing so.
But a story like Sailor Moon honestly needed some breathing room in order to properly flesh out the cast.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, the live-action reimagining of the show, was phenomenal back then (despite looking low-budget even by 2003 standards), and having re-watched the whole series recently, I can safely say PGSM more than holds up and deserves way more love and respect than it gets. It's THE perfect example of reimagining the story of Sailor Moon while still respecting its roots and maintaining the soul of the franchise.
Which is exactly why I couldn't stand Sailor Moon Crystal. We knew from the off that it was supposed to be completely faithful to the manga, but one look through @crystalvsmanga will show you Crystal took shitloads of "creative liberties", and the amount of changes I could dare to call "good"? I could count them on one hand.
The animation is low-hanging fruit, because everyone and their dog knows how godawful it was for the first two story arcs. But more than that, I actually loathed the general art design. Yukie Sakou's style DID NOT closely resemble Naoko Takeuchi's. People kept saying it, but I couldn't really see it. The eyes especially are a far cry from Takeuchi's style. And Sakou's style did NOT facilitate the OTT cartoony expressions that were definitely present in Takeuchi's manga; everyone looked so goddamn soulless, like overly-expensive porcelain dolls.
My biggest gripe with Crystal was the story, of course. While a great deal came from just being from the manga (which I'll get to in a bit), the changes they made went a long way to actively make the manga's story worse. My main takeaway from Crystal S1-2 is that it took itself waaaaay too seriously.
That being said, I did like Crystal's third season a lot better BECAUSE Chiaki Kon had way more competence and held a lot more respect for Sailor Moon. Like, my god, for once it felt like there was a soul in this show! It can actually take the piss every now and then!
Some silly things kinda broke my immersion (such as the Senshi just being able to fuckin' fly and Chibi-Moon in particular was literally sky-stepping), but most of that can be blamed on the source material it was adapting. While I was fine with Crystal3, I definitely didn't feel it was anywhere near as good as Sailor Moon S. Outside of Hotaru/Sailor Saturn having more of a presence, there wasn't really much in Crystal's take on Infinity that I liked better than S.
But most of that comes down to the fact that I liked S more than manga's Infinity arc to begin with.
Which is a good segue to talk about the manga proper.
I have not yet watched Eternal or Cosmos. the movies that adapted the last two manga arcs, but it'd be redundant since I know ahead of time what they're going to be about, and so far I haven't heard about any of them deviating from the source material, so it'd be moot to talk about them even if I had watched.
When I first got my hands on the manga, which was when I was around 12-13 and thus got the crappy MiXxZine translations, I was fine enough with it. Thought it was too fast-paced and didn't care for 99% of the villains being one-and-done jobbers, but I was also reading it with my impressions of the 90's anime characters still intact. I was reading the manga like an extension of the anime, rather than the other way around.
It wasn't until many years later when I grew older, when the manga was properly translated, when I acquired the wisdom my teenaged-ass self lacked, and learned to look at the manga as a completely separate entity that I started to see the cracks in the manga's narrative.
Further rereads have left me in something of a mindfuck, as I experienced the manga the proper way. And I realized:
The more I read the manga, the more I disliked it.
The manga is lauded for having an infinitely better depiction of Mamoru, as well as his ~Miracle Romance~ with Usagi.
Objectively, the manga definitely spends lots more time giving UsaMamo attention as a couple than any other aspect of the story...
I'd say they're also more developed as individuals in the manga too, but usually the beats, uh...
... let's say they usually ring hollow, when these two (and sometimes their daughter) are the only ones who consistently get shit done across the series. Hell, on the rare occasion that the Inner Senshi weren't rendered into street pizza, Neo Queen Serenity basically told them to fuck off and let her daughter, past self, and past hubby take on motherfucking DEATH PHANTOM/NEMESIS BY THEMSELVES.
It's likely because my first exposure to Sailor Moon was via the 90s anime, which had more of a focus on friendship and comradery between Usagi and her friends than it did her romance with Mamoru. I mean, romance was DEFINITELY a prominent thing even in that iteration of the story, but that wasn't where my interest lied. I was, am currently, and always will be more interested in Usagi's galpals than I'll ever be interested in her love life.
And, well, I'm sure this qualifies as a hot take, but...
This one moment with Usagi and Mamoru in the elevator (hell, their interaction across this entire episode was great) resonated with me far more than any ultra-romantic declarations of eternal devotion that Usagi and Mamoru kept regurgitating at each other in the manga.
Granted, the manga had a FEW moments early on where their dynamic was more playful, but they were pretty much confined to the early chapters and this element of their chemistry pretty much died not long after this.
Some say 90s anime Mamoru was far too mean-spirited in his teasing of Usagi. And I mean, sure, he was kind of a douche at times, but he usually got some karmic blowback from it (I remember one time he made Usagi cry without even really meaning to, and she cried so loud in public that randos nearby were giving Mamoru the evil-eye or a scolding). But honestly, after R, Mamoru kinda became a bland, generic love interest, just as he almost always was in the manga. The only difference was that anime Mamoru was never granted powers that were literally equal to Usagi's. The manga gave him a GOLDEN FUCKING CRYSTAL.
There was that infamous break-up arc in R that, yes, was shitty in concept and execution. But if I had anything positive to say about it, it at least shook up the status quo. It didn't make him immediately fall into the bland, generic love interest he would soon become. And it gave us some of the most emotionally-charged Usagi moments in the entire anime.
Conversely, in the manga, we had THIS shit for our UsaMamo "drama":
(the former incident with Usagi literally accusing her boyfriend of falling in love with a kid, by the way, happened while MOST OF HER FRIENDS WERE KIDNAPPED BY THE ENEMY AND COULD'VE BEEN DEAD FOR ALL SHE KNEW AND YET SHE FUCKING HAD TIME FOR THIS STUPID SHIT)
Everything seemed to revolve around Usagi and Mamoru (sometimes Chibiusa too). It lowkey came off that way at times even in the 90s anime, but in the manga or Crystal? You'd be hard-pressed to find the girls engaging in their stated hobbies at most points in time, because they're usually all together and talking about their prince and princess.
Hell, even Haruka - Sailor Uranus herself - seemed much more interested in Usagi than she ever did in Michiru, her actual girlfriend.
So... am I just missing something? I've seen people say that as they grow older, they prefer the manga/Crystal to the 90s anime. But I've never seen anyone other than myself express the opposite sentiment.
But it's true - unless I completely leave my brain at the door, I have a hard time enjoying the manga for what it is. The characters I'm most interested in or attached to quickly get swept aside for the characters I have the least interest in. No more does that ring true than the Stars arc of the manga, where Naoko Takeuchi basically speedruns killing off literally the entire cast until Sailor Moon's the only one left standing. Most characters don't even get to go out in a blaze of glory or anything - it's got nothing on the finale of the 90s anime's first season in that regard. If you're lucky, you'll get a single panel where your entire existence is ripped to shreds - but sometimes you'll be killed literally off-screen!!
There's a number of questionable manga-exclusive aspects that rubbed me the wrong way as well, such as poor Sailor Pluto being assigned as a child to guard the Door of Time in complete and total solitude. While I appreciate more Silver Millennium lore that the manga provided (the anime hardly mentioned it past the first arc), it was more than a little uncomfortable knowing the OG Queen Serenity conscripted the Inner Senshi as small children to become Princess Serenity's guardians. Really casts Queen Serenity and her Moon Kingdom in a much darker light - like maybe Queen Beryl and Queen Nehelenia had a point in trying to take them down (though the manga I believe retcons all past villains as incarnations of Chaos, so that arguably removes all prior villains' agency?). Lots of little things that I didn't think twice about, but now that I look at them again, I'm wondering WTF Naoko Takeuchi was thinking.
Though I don't want to be too hard on her. Poor girl was working under stress far longer than she'd planned to (she'd intended on ending the story either by the Dark Kingdom or Black Moon arc), so it's no surprise there's a lot of clunk and clutter in the narrative.
I often wondered if Naoko Takeuchi really wanted to make Sailor Moon with a Super Sentai-esque setup in the first place. After all, her first big hit was Sailor V, which was exclusively Minako and Artemis fighting evil with Minako having her own masked love interest she ended up being at odds with and he eventually died. With a scant few secondary characters here and there.
It led to me thinking about what Sailor Moon would be like if Naoko kept the cast to a more Sailor V-like size. That, perhaps, the Sailor Moon she really wanted to make would be quite a different beast from how we know it to be today.
So this lengthy diatribe about my personal conflicts with my waning fondness for the manga versus my strengthened love for the OG anime and live-action show was actually a preamble to a bizarre AU I wrote an outline for over a year ago but never posted in public. I had considered posting it to Sailor Moon's Reddit back then, but I (probably wisely) held off, as my musing went way off the rails.
But I figured now's a good time as any to share it here, at least. Though it'll need to be its own post since I wrote so goddamn much in this post alone, wow.
On that note, I'll end with this: The only iteration of UsaMamo that I unironically enjoyed and rooted for is...
#sailor moon#pretty guardian sailor moon#bishojo senshi sailor moon#sailor moon manga#sailor moon anime#sailor moon classic#sailor moon crystal criticism#sailor moon manga criticism#pgsm#naoko takeuchi#usagi tsukino#mamoru chiba#chibiusa#usamamo#usamamo criticism#miracle romance#no kidding the fandom usually acts like the manga is sacred territory#something you're not allowed to have a bad opinion about#I don't necessarily HATE it#just...#I don't really feel what everyone else is feeling from it#if nothing else it'll always be better than s1-2 crystal#now THAT'S an abomination I know I'm not alone in feeling that way about#but yeah#the manga is overrated#there I said it#am I okay?

I never realized i posted a tier list here until now, but just posting a normal, boring tier list of the game and maybe anime characters is soooo bland! So why not,
(almost) EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN THE DR FRANCHISE RANKED (spoilers for every entry obviously)
You’ll need a microscope to go through all of them lol, also, since its an obligatory thing, here’s some opinions on my top 10 characters!
TOP 10:
Sato: I don’t even need to explain it, because I quite literally have 30 times already, if you want to know how much I really love her, then check out my defence post pinned in my profile.
Karen Kisaragi: She is a character that strangely resembles sato in a way, IE; both are somewhat disliked by the fandom because they killed someone for “No reason” despite the fact they did have reasons and were in a state where they cannot think right. Which means, Kisato is peak!!!! (I seriously need to finish my fanfic abt them)
Yasuke Matsuda: Best novel character by FAR, he has a fun character, cool background, nice design, and just overall a nice anti-hero that has motives that you can actually understand. (which resemble sato too LMAO)
Yuto Kamishiro: Another dr0 character in a row! While yes, he is a creepy bastard when we first meet him, throughout the novel, we get to see more and more of him and his motives/personality shine and its just fantastic, while he would originally have been A+ though, what really sold me was when I started my “Full Class-Batch” series with Class 77-A, which made me love him even more.
Shoji Yoko & Daiki Kubo: Yup, the two character we never got to see their deaths in screen form (they’re shown in the dr0 novel), heck, even Shoji doesn’t have a canon voice. But what can I say? These two scream bros vibes HARD, like they’re the typical “bros before hoes” type.
Kyoko Kirigiri: FINALLY, a character that is from the games! She is amazing and the best one, from her mysterious aura in dr1, from her sacrifice in dr3, to her backstory in drk, she deserves the top spot for the best game character.
Hajime Hinata: Best protag is here! Yeah, I said it, he is the best protag. He shines in chapters like 6 and also in the anime where we see his struggles and doubts (dr3 is overhated, fight me). Not to mention his interactions with characters like Chiaki and Nagito, people say he is bland, but I dig otherwise.
Yui Samidare: 2nd best protag! Honestly, her and hajime could be interchangeable in spots, she is just that good! Her development and sister-like friendship with Kyoko is so cute!!!!, and so sad when you realize she protects Kyoko at all costs bc of her dead sister :( and makes it even more sad in the end of the novel. YUIIII WHYYYY.
Mikan Tsumiki: final character in my top 10, I feel so bad for her and what she went through both inside and outside of the tragedy, it goes to show how mental trauma like that can truly change a person, hope she is doing okay now.

Hey man!
I loved the two parter where Sonia cheated on the male reader and Chiaki comforted him before the two eventually got together, and I was wondering if you’d be willing to do something similar with Kirumi where after Miu harshly rejects the male reader, the Ultimate Maid comforts him due to her feelings for him and he eventually falls for her in turn, leading to the two becoming a couple.
Kirumi tojo comforting a rejected reader
A/n:Thanks so much for continuing to request you genuinely have no idea how much that means to me. I'm so glad you liked those posts because i actually took inspiration from the cheating chapters in your books
"Here are the chocolates you asked for y/n"
The ultimate maid says as she hands you an elegant looking box of chocolates
"Thank you, kirumi. I know they'll be wonderful"
She blushes a bit before regaining her composure
"Thank you, may I ask why do you need them?"
"O-oh I was gonna confess to a girl I like and I thought giving her chocolates would be a nice gesture"
Kirumi feels a pit open in her heart at your words but still tries to be supportive
"I......see if you don't mind me asking who is this girl?"
"Y-you promise not to tell her?"
"Y/n, I am a maid, confidentiality is part of my job"
".......i-it's miu"
"Miu?"
"Yeah...what about it?"
"It's nothing she just..... doesn't seem too nice to you"
"She's just like that to everyone"
"I suppose, good luck then"
"Thanks kirumi you're the best"
She bows kindly and thanks you back while the pit in her heart grows even larger, she can't shake off the feeling that miu isn't good enough for you and not just because of her own feelings.
She still leaves and goes back to doing tasks for her other classmates, with you still in her mind
'I wonder why y/n would be interested in miu, she's so mean even to him...... what am I doing? I can't get jealous now. If he likes her, I have to respect it'
She continues to work while worrying about you when after a while she's approached by kaede
"Do you need help kaede?"
".......yeah....it's about y/n"
The green haired girl immediately tenses up at hearing your name
"Hm?"
"You're his close friend right? I thought you could help him better than me"
".......yes I am.....w-what happened?"
"Well....miu rejected him"
"O-oh?"
"She was really harsh too, I tried to comfort him, but he keeps crying in his room, I think you need to go to him"
"Yes definitely, thank you for telling me"
Kirumi instantly goes to your dorm room while mentally cursing the ultimate inventor
'I knew it, I should have stopped him, I knew miu would reject him but I never thought she'd be like this, I need to be there for him....as a friend'
She knocks on your door and waits for you to let her in. When you open it, kirumi's heart breaks, seeing you so sad and desperate. Her instincts take over and she gives you a hug
"K-kiru-"
"Shhhh it's alright y/n, I'm here"
You cry into her for a bit as she strokes your hair. After you finish, she pulls you away but still holds your hand
"I heard from kaede what happened, but she didn't give me all the details. If you're OK with it, would you mind telling me if it's not too painful, of course"
You nodded sadly and began to tell her
"I-i went to confess to miu but she didn't even listen to me at first, and when she finally did she just laughed in my face and told me she would never get with a guy like me since I'm so ugly and t-that I didn't deserve her "gorgeous body" she even threw the chocolates you made in the trash"
You could feel kirumi's hand grip even tighter around yours, a sign of her anger, but she quickly focused back on comforting you
"I want you to know that everything she said is wrong, you're very handsome and any girl would be lucky to have you"
You blush a bit at hearing her calling you handsome
"R-really?"
"Of course, now how about I make some tea and snacks for you, I know you need someone to rely on and I will be that someone"
You wipe the tears from your eyes as a small smile spread across your face
"T-thank you kirumi, you really are the best"
[Timeskip]
It's been a while since miu rejected you, and you can proudly say that you have gotten over it. Thanks in no small part to kirumi. In fact, in this time, you have developed a crush on her instead since she was so nice and helpful to you however you were still too scared to confess because of what happened earlier.
"You really didn't have to help me wash the dishes y/n, it's my duty"
"Oh no, please, I love helping you. You're always so busy. This is the least I could do"
You say with a smile that makes the maid's heart flutter
'That beautiful smile, I'm so glad y/n can smile again after what miu did'
"........I love you so much"
".........k-kirumi?"
When the realization of what she said hits her kirumi blushes and starts getting nervous
"O-oh sorry I didn't mean to say it out loud.....I I apologize greatly-"
"I love you too"
"U-uh?"
"How couldn't I? You've been so helpful all this time, not to mention how incredibly beautiful you are, much more than miu if you ask me"
She giggles a bit while still blushing from your compliment
"Thank you, but are you sure about this, I want you to be comfortable with me, and after what happened with miu, are you OK with dating me?"
"Of course I wouldn't want anything else"
Kirumi smiles brightly and kisses your cheek
"I'm so glad, because I love you so much dear"

heads up. this is rambly.
in my heart, izuru killed those 15 students and junko wasn't lying about it. this is kind of messed up, but i sweaarrr there's a good reason and i'm not miserable(maybe)
like....the anime makes izuru seem less evil and more morally grey. he's not an instigator, but an observer who kind of just lets things happen. on top of this, it implies that hajime is still there deep down when he cries for nanami's death. ...on some level, its nice to see this change since it makes izuru's character as a whole much more sympathetic. but aside from that, what these changes actually do is retroactively make the last chapter of sdr2 feel more hollow.
i mean yes, the forced shutdown option is still a hard decision to make since hajime would still be reverting back to izuru...but he still comes back anyways, so in hindsight its not that bad. and everything about how terrible izuru was? all the things he did? it was just junko lying to manipulate the survivors. the anime basically makes it so that hajime's mental breakdown meant nothing. its like if the villain of the main story told the protagonist their puppy died but the puppy was actually fine the whole time. i'm happy the puppy is alive, but then what was the point of that?? because, honestly....part of why hajime was so reluctant was that not only would he disappear, but that he'd also be accepting the memories and life of a person as terrible as izuru. izuru *has* to be misanthropic and one of the main instigators of the tragedy, it's part of the horror.
still, what to me is meaningful is that a "bad end" for sdr2's story wouldn't be forced shutdown, it's the escapist option where the main cast willfully ignores their past selves and refuse to move on outside of the neo world program. that's what hajime has to resist, that's what chiaki has to talk him out of. so he has to remember. even if his past is awful and maybe even unforgivable, in order to be truly happily in real life he has to learn from that past and move on. and this part is harder to explain, but for some reason it makes hajime coming back from izuru much nicer to see as well...
but this aspect of the story is completely thrown out the window by the anime, which makes me honestly a little sad. maybe i care a little too much, but i'm always happy to hate.

please ramble to me about hinazumi i’ve never met someone who shipped this specific pairing so hard and i need to Know i need to experience this too
OH MY FUCKING GOD IVE WAITED FOR THIS DAY TO COME THANK YOU SO MUCH MOOTIE MWAH!!!
Hinazumi is in my eyes, the PERFECT AMAZING AWESOMEST ship of sdr2. I can understand why you'd like other ships though.
For starters, many people assume it's a rarepair because they haven't many interactions in the main game, with Mahirus death early on and all. I feel like if she lived longer this would totally flesh out the relationship, and she would be a sort of Chiaki kind of character, but we already have a Chiaki, so bye bye Mahiru *hits with a metal bat*
Spoilers from her on I guess
The main reason I ship this is because of mahirus ftes, if you play all of them in order you'll see EXACTLY what I mean.
"MAHIRUS A LESBIAN MAHIRUS A LESBIAN!" No??? She loves Saionji, yes, but she also has canonical attraction towards Hajime.
In her Ftes she starts as a tsundere. Well she's a tsundere until she dies, and technically I'm pretty sure hajime is too.
As the time she spends with Hinata grows, so does the personal connection that they have. Mahiru reveals that she had a bad father figure and her mother got her into photography, this shows that Mahiru doesn't really hate males at all. She just dislikes laziness and because of her father's actions in her mind all males are lazy. (This is entirely different to Tenko by the way).
Mahiru begins to act nervous in her final FTE and Hajime asks her if she's alright, she tells him that it'd be better to "do it" somewhere better and so she takes him to a beach.
Hajime pretty much assumes that its a confession of love and Mahiru tells him "no nevermind ill tell you when we're off the island" and with that they begin to take photos.
As they do so she promises that she will give him her camera once she gets off the island, which is because she trusts him (gift giving is a love language is it not? And based on Mahirus experience with other men it all seems to match - she assumes men are greedy and lazy, so if she liked one itd only make sense to give them something)
She also says that photos are the best way to see people, and that Hajime taking a photo of Mahiru is the equivalent to how he sees her as a person. This is both personality-wise and physically. She seems disappointed (something along the lines of "wow am I really that bland") which is something that usually wouldnt bother her because she's all about hard work and less about presentation.
Hajime promises to get off the island with her and be friends together, and then the FTE ends. That chapter she dies. That's very doomed isn't it? Like... danganronpa doomed lovers? Like?????
Anyway, throughout the game Hajime never loses his temper at mahiru for assuming things (but he does with Nagito) which might be a possibility to show his affection towards her.
Im also pretty sure they have interactions in the dr3 anime which I haven't seen.
I haven't played the games in a while so this is all from memory, but that's all the Canon proof of the main game that i can think of to why I ship Hinazumi.
I totally respect people who ship komahina, hinanami, mahiruxhiyoko, mahiruxsato etcetera. But hinazumi is just adorable and she should've lived longer to get the development she needed.
Its such a fun fluffy ship that I'd totally reccomend getting into. And her ftes make her a much more likeable character so check those out if you can!

Growing up on Japanese Cyberpunk
Now, talking about Cyberpunk this week, I am going to tell you how I got into Cyberpunk originally. Because my entrypoint was quite different from that of most people. My entrypoint into Cyberpunk was... Digimon Tamers. People can now argue whether Digimon Tamers itself is Cyberpunk (I argue it is, as it deals a lot with the themes of Japanese Cyberpunk), but through Digimon Tamers I got into the general work that Chiaki Konaka has done, which also features quite a bit of Cyberpunk, like Texhnolyze and Serial Experiments Lain. And from there all the other stuff came in, too.
Japanese Cyberpunk is a bit of an interesting genre, because yes, Japanese Cyberpunk is in general considered a genre distinct from Western Cyberpunk.
And, yeah. This is very much obvious. Because yes, Western Cyberpunk very much is a genre driven by the fear of Japan and the East taking over. More than that it is driven by the fear of collectivism of any sorts. And it should be obvious that Japan, dealing with the idea of technology taking over, is a different story.
While Western Cyberpunk usually deals with this idea of the big companies running the world with the governments barely featuring, Japanese Cyberpunk tends to deal heavily with government corruption. Yes, they might get corrupted because of the big companies, but it is the government who tends to be the big bad guy within Japanese Cyberpunk. Often enough there is a theme of the military overstepping boundaries.
And funnily enough there is the theme that goes quite contrary to Western Cyberpunk. Because Japanese Cyberpunk, while often being dark and hopeless, is very much about finding power in community. Characters find ways to fight back - even if they do not succeed in it - through community. This is especially true for the anime side of Japanese Cyberpunk.
While Japanese Cyberpunk also uses a lot of similar aesthetics to Western Cyberpunk, the themes are usually very different.
Of course, this didn't stop me in my later teens to also get into western Cyberpunk because I loved the aesthetic. But in the end... Japanese Cyberpunk really is where my love for the genre lies. Not the often enough xenophobic drivel that Western Cyberpunk often is.
