update on my anderperry soulmate au (except there is no update) just me RAMBLING

UM so my valid excuse for not writing or providing any updates on this fic I was working on is that for the past few days I was working (seven hour shifts ugh) so I had no time and energy to write. But I just had two days off and STILL nothing.

So a little about me is I’m in college and actually took a screenwriting class where we wrote real screenplays and in this class I learned I am a. Really really good at producing ideas for stories but b. TERRIBLE at following through and writing them

I see so many people who have like writers block and don’t write because they have no ideas of what to write but I have the opposite problem, I have a shit ton of ideas and I can build a whole stories universe and lore and how it will end but once it’s time to sit down and write it I’ll just .. not.

So the actual UPDATE is that the story currently has 500 words and the minimum word count that I make myself do is 1000 words. So the story is technically half done but it doesn’t have a set ending in my head yet. So in reality it isn’t even fully developed yet.

That being said IF ANYONE WANTS TO WRITE/WORK ON writing DPS projects together let me know because I am really good at generating ideas and creating universes and I know someone out there is good at writing filler and we could make beautiful magic together.

I can probably write this soulmate au but I am genuinely looking for people interested in writing a multi chaptered twilight au fic that I have started developing and plan to drop in late October (for Halloween duh). So like if anyone wants to write dead poets but they’re VAMPIRES let me know :)

I just noticed something

When Cameron interrupts this AnderPerry moment he says he was studying right?

OBVIOUSLY, he was doing this in his room

BUT LOOK--

Charlie's just playing Bongos. To Cameron, Charlie's random instruments don't phase him (like he wasn't surprised he was good at the sax either) but he will barge into Neil and Todd's room to demand silence hahhaaha

thank you so much!! i'm so glad you enjoy my writing, because i honestly enjoy writing it. see the thing with fics though is that i'm a bit of a people pleaser and perfectionist, which means two problems arise:

i'd want to write any and all fics people want me to, even if i was terrified to write them. like i LOVE anderperry (duh) but i would have no idea where to start with a fic for it. i like headcannons because they're sporadic, bullet pointed lists. i actually have many fics written in my drafts on another platform, but those are from the third person perspective on a character i've created—something that doesn't really fit in with dps (well, i guess it could, but that doesn't seem to be a big thing around the community)

I'm so fucking hard on myself when it comes to my writing. i've deleted as many things as i've saved. if i love an idea but write it terribly, oh well, into the trash it goes. i write headcannons here because i don't worry about my quality of writing (and i can incorporate way more sarcasm but ANYWAY). yeah, i struggle a lot with being confident in my own abilities, which is something i feel like a lot of people struggle with. so don't worry, you're not alone, because i hate almost all of my own writing ;)

and i'm willing to try it, really. send me some prompts and i'll see if any strike my fancy. i will most likely be searching within my comfort zone early on, so please don't be offended if your fic doesn't get written (it's a "it's me, not you" situation man). and maybe if i get more comfy with it, i'll start taking on more and venturing outside of my comfort zone.
