YES. People actually ship it! Shocking, I know. However, since this is your first day on the internet, let me be the one to inform you that age gaps are really quite a common fantasy, especially for younger fans of adult characters. Go into any tag and you'll see fic writers shipping teen/barely legal characters (often ones of their own creation) with the main characters of a property, who are often decades older.

This is actually amazingly common! There are soooo many properties that have ancient, supernatural characters like VAMPIRES, DEMONS, GHOSTS, FAERIES, etc where younger humans are preyed upon by these creatures, and readers/viewers get turned on by this. Adult human villains are also incredibly popular in this way. This kind of relationship would be problematic in real life, but as a sexual fantasy, it's really quite typical. Marketing departments even know this and regularly cater to it. Turns out that this kind of thing is so sexy to so many people that it's a real money maker!

So, since this thing you're so scandalized about turns out to be totally normal, you should probably not tag your hate. You're just making yourself look ignorant and prudish. ‼️‼️To all people involved in Beetlejuice Discord servers, and other fandom spaces‼️‼️

TW: possible grooming, vivid mentions of pregnancy, body horror

There is a user on Discord under the name GroveStreetReptile who has been harassing people in Beetlejuice servers since September/October. He has been consistently going against boundaries, detailing uncomfortable scenarios including Astrid, and sending vivid descriptions (and sometimes media) of pregnancy, body horror, etc.

He has approached almost every person in every public Beetlejuice server with uncomfortable DM’s regarding “pregnant Astrid.” He has inquired about personal details, sent media pertaining to body horror and pregnancy (even after the person he has talked to has expressed discomfort), and has targeted a minor (as a self-proclaimed 21 year old adult) with inappropriate comments related to their cosplay.

This hasn’t just happened to me, but to 6 documented people and possible many more. I will include screenshots of this behavior below, but please avoid him at all costs— he is at a serious risk of (and has already) threatening minors, and has caused upset for many people. He has purposefully kept these conversations in DM’s which show a self awareness that what he is doing is wrong, but not restraint to not do it in the first place.

Block GroveStreetReptile where you see him and warn any Discord servers or online spaces of his presence. Thank you, media/screenshots of this behavior below:
