Can you explain why you think beetlejuice is jewish? Im ligitemately curious, did i miss a reference somewhere? Is it like in a wiki page? Could you please provide source? Its okey if you prefer not to answer, but i would like to know.

First I should note that Beetlejuice being Jewish-coded is only relevant to the Musical version, and that there is a difference between a character canonically being something, and being coded as such. Coding is found through subtext, clues, or references purposefully put in place by the writers for audiences to make assumptions/understandings about a character without outwardly stating them. Queer-coding is a popular example of this! Musical Beetlejuice is Jewish-coded for 3 reasons: 1. Alex Brightman, the actor who originated the role for Beetlejuice in the musical, is a Jewish man! Abe Goldfarb, one of the 2 understudies for BJ, is also Jewish.

2. In the song Creepy Old Guy, Beetlejuice says the Hebrew toast “L’chaim” (’to life’). The phrase L’chaim is often associated with engagement/marriage in Jewish culture, hence him saying it during the wedding. 3. In the Broadway preview version (and possibly the D.C. run?) Beetlejuice wore a Kippah/Yarmulke (a customary cap worn by Jewish men) during the wedding scene as well!
