I know his outfit is supposed to resemble a crow but it always reminds me of a marshmallow or like fluffy white cats it looks very soft doesnt it

Nuzzling into it would probably trigger some weird protective instinct like, he's a bit flushed cause physical contact and all that but idk something about your face in the fluff, clinging onto him that just makes every bone in his body scream PROTECC
