Finally found the cover in alllll its HD glory!
I'm sorry but I just can't get this out of my mind. Why does Disney insist on forcing their artists to make the most hideous anatomically-incorrect art with plastic-ass shading and wrong colors/fixes, when if you give the artist more breathing room, they will do waaay more justice for the characters and actually make it nice to look at.
AND THE RIGHT IS COVER ART FOR A CHILDREN'S BOOK! THE LEFT WAS ON THE OFFICIAL DISNEY+ PAGE FOR THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

Oogie Boogie Graphite By VampiricYoshi
This piece started out as a tribute to the late Ken Page, who I had the pleasure of meeting at FanX Salt Lake City 2023. He's a very sweet man and I miss him.
I wanted to emulate at least somewhat the style of Stephen Gammell (of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark fame). Thanks to @iangoudelock for the tutorial, which you can follow on Youtube!
This will not be my last Stephen Gammell-inspired piece, as I want to do at least one more monster in that style. We'll see when I actually do it. lol

Jack has such a problem saying "no" in both TNBC games that he halts everything he's doing to help the Mayor make his gumbo. This man ALWAYS makes it a priority to help his people out no matter what's happening.
And the funniest part?...The ingredients he gets for the soup ARE the parts of the Melting Man that Oogie Boogie ripped off of him and the Mayor was really close to actually eating one of their citizens.
The Mayor, usually: JAAAAACK! THERE'S NO TIME TO WASTE! HALLOWEEN IS (X) AMOUNT OF DAYS AWAY, WE'VE GOT TO PLAN AND GET PREPARED! DROP EVERYTHING YOU'RE DOING!
The Mayor when the Town is in ruins and Jack's in the middle of saving it:
