Beetlejuice 3 should be fucked up

This might sound a bit off, but if they make a Beetlejuice 3 it should be an wince inducing highly problematic romantic comedy with Beetlejuice actually properly courting Lydia and her going for it. Why? Because it'd be a great parody of all those gothic horror questionable romance stories like Phantom Of The Opera. Think about it: Lydia could be like "oh, you want me?" * pulls BJ down by his tie * "then work for it!" in a passive-aggressive dismissive way but then Beetlejuice actually earnestly tries to appeal to her and somehow it works and Lydia decides to actually give him a chance wich would lead into a just absolutely bizarre mockery of a Hallmark romance movie, all the while the audience goes from one mood whiplash to another as they alternate between "oh, this is so sweet" and "good lord Lydia NO! don't snuggle up to that freak" in the same scene. Astrid would spend almost the entire movie in perpetual schock at what is transpiring before her eyes as her 50 to 60 year old mother is making out with that nasty ghoul as if he's a hot vampire hunk.

Wouldn't even be too outlandish for the franchise. Afterall, the first movie was a haunted house story and the second one a soap opera family and relationship drama, so why not make the third one just a super questionable romance?

A little detail I noticed in BJBJ:

The one scene where Betel is not wearing his usual ring is the wedding night scene. I thought that was very considerate of him.

And now I want him to have neat, short fingernails at least for the first three fingers on his dominant hand in BJBJBJ. No explanation for that little bit of extra grooming given, but if you know you know.

And yes, same, it'd be nice to see his nails trimmed. Or at least clean. But let me tell you, I am a big fan of him being his filthy corpse self when he and Lydia get it on the first time 💀. Hey, if she'll have him, she'll take him "as is" 😂. He can clean up later.

Hey, this is something you’re definitely going to like when I ask you this: does Betelgeuse deserve a song? You know a Disney Villain song about Betelgeuse being the mischievous and disgusting Ghost with the Most! I’d love to see Michael Keaton singing that in BJ’s voice in the third Beetlejuice movie! I also noticed you reblog Disney movie gifs and you’re such a sweet Disney fan! What do you think about Betelgeuse having his own vocal theme song in the third movie?

That's a great question. I've been going back and forth on this. While the lip-syncing is funny and now a Beetlejuice universe tradition, I think it would be great if he wrote his own song to Lydia. Using his own words to tell her how much he loves her. Plus, it would be interesting to see Keaton coming up with the lyrics himself. I think that would be really unique and Winona can say she's the only leading lady he ever did that for in a film. I think that would be a sweet title to have.
