The Irish-raven of the south.

Author note: This will start out after the movie, so Scarlett only had Bonnie.

This will be a back in time do over story. This start after, Rhett has left and the divorce that Scarlett tried to avoid had been finalized. After having read a book, where the main character the villainess of the story ruined her own life and lost everything although her true love weren’t much better, Scarlett realized that the villainess was almost identical to Scarlett herself in every way even the description of her looks, as if someone had decided to use her and her unfortunate circumstances and mistakes as inspiration! Scarlett wishes to go back to do everything over and she may just get the chance, and meet some new friends on the way. P.s I find Ashley so annoying so there will be Ashley bashing and a tiny, very tiny but needed Melanie bashing in this story. :)

Chapter one: If I could turn back time.

Intro Third person POV###########################

Scarlett was sitting in her room in Ireland in a little cottage looking out over the real Tara, that her father loved so much. She was sitting on her bed looking out of the window looking over the rolling green hills of Tara, she wasn`t looking at anything specific, in fact her eyes weren’t focusing at all. The reason? The book in her lap, called: the Raven of the Rose Mansion. Scarlett were deep in thought about the Villainess, who were the main character of the story, who was named Rosalie Dark-thorn. In the beginning Scarlett felt like there was something vaguely familiar, in the beginning she thought it was just because of the physical description of Rosalie, she seemed to be a mirror image of Scarlett herself. But the further she got into the story, she began to realize it was more then just physical, her personality, her family and the way they’re treating each other, her friends or lack there of, the town she lives in and most importantly her relationship with her husband and the other man who’s with false love lied to Rosalie and stringed her along.

Scarlett realized that the villainesses life was exactly like her own as if someone who had known her had decided to use Scarletts misfortune and mistakes as the plot for the hole book.

Even the villainess ending was the same, if not even more tragic.

After having read the book Scarlett was lost in thought about the villainess, who like Scarlett herself, was her own villain and her own undoing. Now her Husband had made mistakes too, for he like Rhett, had never told the obtuse and naive Rosalie that he loved her, he wanted her to realize it on her own but she doesn’t before its too late.

Scarlett kept comparing them and their life’s. Now that Scarlett was smarter she realized how stupid she had been in every way of her life, she knew she couldn`t have changed Rhetts life or how he reacted to things but she herself could have done something, for someone who keep saying that she hates looking back, no one was more stuck in the past then she herself.

Scarlett couldn’t help but to wish she could do everything over, go back not just to the barbecue no. Further back,So fare that she would be able to recreate herself into the woman, the Lady she had been meant to be, maybe not a southern lady but A Lady nonetheless.

Scarlett began to feel sleepy, her last thought before sleep claimed her was`if I could turn back time, I would do everything differently, I wouldn’t hurt Rhett or Melly, I would tell Ashley to go to hell if he dares leave Melly for the damn war again. Wether or not Rhett would love her again she would accept it as long as he didn’t end up miserable and hurt again.’

With that last thought she fall asleep.

NEW past/present day, Tara, Georgia county 1851.

In a very familiar but long abandoned room, A little girl that Turned six not that many days ago, woke up with a gasp and sat up. Looking around shocked, and then looking at her small child hands.!

Scarlett tried to get as quickly out of her big bed and to her mirror as fast as her now much smaller body could go and almost went face first out of bed! When she got to the mirror and saw herself, she didn’t believe what she saw! There looking back at her were Scarletts six year old self, and Scarlett knew that she was six because the nightdress she had on was a mix of pastel green and ocean turquoise, it had been one of her last gifts from her Irish Grandmother whom she was named after.

Scarlett heard the voice of her beloved Father call for her and then she could hear Mammy, her dear Mammy coming to get her.

Just before the door opened, Scarlett looked straight into the eyes of her reflection and gave a small smile, she had gotten the chance she prayed for, and now it was time to do it over and do it right.!

=====Georgia Clayton county,Twelve Oaks 1861===========

It was a beautiful sunny day over Georgia, perfect weather for a bountiful and delicious Barbecue,

At the Wilkes and of course everyone in the county was coming.

Including mr.Kennedy who had just closed a deal with a very handsome but if not a little shady businessman, this business man was no other, then the infamous Rhett Butler of Charleston.

==== Rhetts POV======

Rhett was sitting in mr.Kennedys horse-buggy, they had just finished their business transaction, he had gotten a really good deal for the cotton he bought of mr.Kennedy and now he would be able to store it up and then wait for the war to make the need for cotton so big that he would be able to sell it for the double if not Triple the price, he paid for it.

After their transaction mr.Kennedy invited him to a barbecue that apparently was being held at one of the most well of cotton plantations in Clayton, and since Rhett had nothing to do until his train left for Charleston in the evening and it’s been a while since he had have a proper southern barbecue, he said yes and now he was sitting beside mr.Kennedy who was prattling about some southern bird whom he was interested in. So of no interest to Rhett really.

That is until mr.Kennedy said his next sentence “I wonder if the Raven of the south will be attending, for in that case I will have to appeal to her as well, to get miss.Suellens hand.”

Rhett looked at mr.Kennedy confused `The Raven of the south? Who is that?´thought Rhett to himself, so curious he decided to ask

” If you don’t mind me inquiring mr.Kennedy but Who is this raven of the south and why would this person have a say in your courting your lady of interest?”

“Ah, yes of course, I suppose you wouldn’t know. The raven is miss.Suellens older sister, her Name is Miss. Scarlett O’Hara. She’s the oldest and as for her nickname The raven of the south, well it has more implications then I have the time to explain now but as for why she has a say in my proposing to miss.Suellen, is because of an arrangement mr and mrs.O’Hara made, why they made it no one really know, but miss.Scarlett is not like most other southern belles,she’s quit intelligent and since the O’Haras don’t have any sons, their oldest daughter have been given more say where a son would, it’s not normally done, but since miss Scarlett have proven to be smart no one says anything. So if Scarlett says no and gives an actual reason then her opinion could mean Her parents would say no to the match.”

To say Rhett was surprised would be an understatement, for a southern belle to have a say like a son would have is very unusual, if not unheard of, although judging by their last name, they are not fully American, and with that thought, Rhett decided that this day may get interesting after all.
