If we were to bring back a new Beetlejuice cartoon I could only hope and pray he’s actually “scary” and not so goofy. I get that the show is for kids, but imagine the character development possibilities (cause we all know that was nonexistent in the original show.)

Also, I was messaging a friend of mine the other day and I mentioned how Beetlejuice is the type of character you don’t laugh at cause he’s funny, but because your uncomfortable, and he said that was only a little menacing, which is my point exactly.

This is the second Beetlejuice movie fanart. I tried to make the characters look like the actors, but I don’t think I succeeded in that regard 😅. I did enjoy drawing this, even though it a sketch. I doubt I’ll do anything else to it, I like how a sketch looks. Complete and incomplete, as well as clean and messy!

I love the two Beetlejuice movies. In fact, I remember watching the first Beetlejuice movie with my Mother and Father during vacation when it was on tv. I also watched the first movie with my dear sister and her boyfriend after the two of us (my sister and me) had gotten my wisdom teeth removed. She doesn’t remember the movie at all, haha!

I watched the second movie with my mother, and a second time with my Father. I like how there was a little bit of a change with Beetlejuice; how he seems to care more about Lydia, it makes me giggle with giddy when I see the clip of Beetlejuice and Lydia slow dancing in the air. It reminds me of a clip from Casper the friendly ghost, but I can’t remember the whole movie.

Anywho, I hope you all didn’t mind my rambling. Have a lovely Christmas and a happy new year! And know that someone loves you more than you could ever know or imagine! ☺️

love sm that the first summer vacation episode begins with Lydia saying “Oh Beetlejuice, if we can’t be together this summer, I’ll scream!” and so Beetlejuice comes up with a scheme for "Mr. Beetleman" to lead the Deetz family road trip so they can stay together. like

and then! there is a second summer vacation episode where Lydia is being sent away to spend her summer on her aunt and uncle's farm and the episode starts with Lydia saying, in her gentle way, “Remember what we talked about? Sometimes we have to be apart.” But. Lydia leaves and she thinks she’ll spend the whole summer without Beetlejuice and she's sad but she gets to the farm and there he is. he followed her there. he gets a job so he has a reason for "Mr. Beetleman" to stick around the farm so he and Lydia can spend the summer together—Beetlejuice. he hates working. AND…

although Lydia had said, “we have to be apart sometimes,” as soon as she sees Beej, she is so happy that he snuck after her so they wouldn’t be apart. not for a second does she go back to “sometimes we have to be apart.” like it’s

when life (and the living) gets in the way and something tries to separate them, Beetlejuice always comes up with some silly disguise or chaotic plan (or both) to make it so he and Lydia can be together. and Lydia loves it more than anything. like
