Mon ami a émit une théorie comme quoi Yugo risque d'être corrompu par le statis des nécromes. Et en soit, il serait pas loin de la vérité vu que dans le premier teaser de la saison 4. On voit Yugo créer une lame de wakfu mais aussi une lame de statis.

En revanche, il m'a aussi dit que le statis et le wakfu sont comme le yin et le yang. Ce qui veut dire que ce sont deux énergies qui s'opposent mais qui peuvent pas vivre l'un sans l'autre. Donc même si il y a des chances que Yugo se retrouve corrompu. Il peut tout aussi bien trouver l'équilibre entre le statis et le wakfu en lui et représenter l'équilibre entre ces deux énergies.

My friend theorized that Yugo might be corrupted by the statis of necromes. And in fact, he's not far from the truth, as in the first teaser for season 4. We see Yugo creating a wakfu blade as well as a statis blade. However, he also told me that statis and wakfu are like yin and yang. Which means they're two opposing energies that can't live without each other. So even if there's a chance that Yugo will end up corrupted. He can still find the balance between statis and wakfu within himself and represent the balance between these two energies.

j'ai envie de vomir des trucs ici mais mon cerveau fonctionne plus je suis dans un état atroce j'ai l'impression de pas avoir dormi depuis mercredi et c'est pas vraiment qu'une impression le concert jeudi m'a fait un bien fou malgré une première partie qui m'a angoissé tellement elle était nulle et le son horrible ensuite je suis allée dormir chez l'ami platonique mais on a pas vraiment dormi car il était pas fatigué du tout quand je suis arrivée je l'ai trouvé en boule dans le noir dans son lit je me suis couchée avec son chien que vers quatre heures je crois et lui m'a suivi bien plus tard même si des fois il venait me voir et me faisait plein de petits bisous en me disant qu'il m'aimait puis comme d'habitude j'ai cru que j'allais me motiver pour aller en cours de chez lui car c'est plus proche mais il s'est couché avec moi à peu près à l'heure à laquelle je devais commencer à me bouger j'étais extenuée de pas avoir vraiment dormi du coup je l'ai supplié de pouvoir sécher et il a cédé très facilement donc on a dormi collés un peu toute la journée c'était ce qu'il me fallait puis j'ai du le quitter non pas pour aller en cours mais pour repasser chez moi avant d'aller à un autre concert avec le pote de mon bar et au final je suis rentrée chez moi qu'à neuf heures ce matin et je sais pas quoi raconter de cette soirée il s'est passé trop de choses et en même temps rien et j'ai l'impression que je suis vraiment dans un stade avancé de dégout et d'angoisse des mecs enfin bon à part ça je suis encore montée sur scène à la fin du concert vraiment deux fois en deux semaines ça me fait trop rire je suis tombée amoureuse d'une quadra aux cheveux roses qui était manifestement flattée que je la trouve si belle à part ça j'étais arrachée puissance mille on est allés au resto il a perdu ses clefs de voiture mais on les a retrouvé la soirée après le concert était folle j'ai trop aimé on a fumé dans sa voiture on a découvert qu'on était un peu le yin et le yang car il a des problèmes dans tout le côté droit du corps et moi c'est tout le côté gauche qui est niqué même si d'ailleurs j'ai remarqué que je n'avais pas de douleur en ce moment enfin je ne sais pas si je n'en ai pas ou si je les sens juste plus c'est à creuser et sinon après être rentrée ce matin j'ai dormi genre deux heures je me suis un peu engueulée avec l'ami platonique donc je me sentais comme une merde puis je me suis réveillée dans la douleur d'un premier jour de règles et avec une motivation à me lever avoisinant les zéros mais j'avais un goûter d'anniversaire car oui on est un peu des bébés avec mes amis du coup j'ai retraversé tout paris sous la pluie mais c'était une belle après-midi on a bien rigolé même si j'étais un peu mal toute la journée d'avoir l'impression d'être folle et alors en rentrant on discutait et je ne sais plus comment on en est venues là mais mes amies m'ont dit que si mon meilleur ami que j'ai revu il n'y a pas longtemps était vraiment vraiment amoureux de moi à l'époque et peut-être encore maintenant je vais y penser toute la soirée du coup et il faudrait que j'écrive dessus car c'était un peu évident et en même temps non et ça me fait rire et ça me fait plein d'autres trucs et si l'amour c'est juste tous nos petits trucs qu'on avait avant alors je veux bien être amoureuse de lui car c'est tout doux et peut-être qu'après tout je me trompe et j'ai juste besoin de douceur mystère

Into, Across and Beyond!: Where it Began / One More Chance

Sonic.OMT: You see, dear hedgehog, I was unleashed by your foolish scientist nemesis Robotnik. He wanted me to destroy anyone that stands in my way. He wanted to take Mobius for his own, but because I was bored of following his orders, I double-crossed him! The foolish egg he was, a snivelling coward as I put him through the same torment as the rest of your buddies… he is NOTHING compared to me. You see, Sonic Maurice Hedgehog, me and you... we are like Yin and Yang... I'm just your dark side! We should team up and destroy all that stand in our way! Join me, Sonic the Hedgehog... JoIn Me…

Sonic: Sorry, but no deal! You messed with my friends, AND the lives of the innocent players before! Well that ends today! Prepare to be exterminated!

Sonic.OMT: Foolish hedgehog! Don't you know who you're messing with? I am the Outbreak Malware Threat, a true GOD!

Sonic: I've managed to neutralise a god before, Dark Gaia, and you can bet your behind I can neutralise you too! So BRING IT ON!!!

Time to tell you the story of where this tale began.

Remember Sonic.OMT? The Outbreak Malware Threat? Well, he was one a mass terroriser of the world in which our story takes place around. It had been three months running since he had started sending many of Mobius's inhabitants into endless loops of gruesome torment.

After that amount of time, however, this universe's Sonic, who I'll be referring to as "OMT!Sonic" from here on out, had enough of it and raced through the entity's realm to face him down personally. The thing is, during the titular conflict, OMT was just too tough for OMT!Sonic to face down alone, but there was a way to break this unfair streak OMT had been using for a while.

During the battle, OMT!Sonic shattered a special orb responsible for keeping his companions stuck in these endless loops, and thanks to this deed, it led to the blue blur getting some much-needed backup. LOTS of it, in fact. His friends, OMT!Robotnik and his fleet, all the little critters that had been wronged, the human players who fell victim to OMT... everyone. The creature couldn't even believe his eyes seeing this.

After his reunions with OMT!Tails and OMT!Amy, alongside a stern scolding of OMT!Robotnik's decision to let OMT run amok in their world, OMT!Sonic decided their focus would be to get to the Master Emerald to halt this tyranny once and for all. Once they got there, however, OMT!Sally and OMT!Tails were thrown out of the central tower, with OMT!Sonic mortally wounded in the process.

With enough strength, however, he grabbed onto the Master Emerald whilst OMT was supercharging himself, thus leading to the final fight between Super Sonic and Sonic.OMT's final form. During the fight, however, the wounds sustained prior did not heal, and Sonic was burning up fast. With luck and enough time, however, he was able to finally silence the Threat and ensure he was no longer a threat to the universe.

However, this victory carried a price. OMT!Sonic was too horribly injured after powering down to continue living, though his friends still could live on. And to him, that was all that mattered. A memorial was held for the blue blur, and in spirit, he gave OMT!Tails the responsibility to keep his legacy going strong and protect Mobius in his steed.

And a year later, whilst OMT!Tails continues to get to grips with his promotion from sidekick to hero, that is where the story begins...

Tomorrow will be when I post some sprite images showcasing the main crews of my story; the Blur Gang, a bunch of multidimensional heroes banded together through different means, and the Quill Society, another bunch there to protect the very fabric of the Sonic/SEGA multiverse.

I was wondering why Cure Sky’s design felt a little familiar, and it was only when someone joked that she was a Snow Miku that I realized…

Her hairstyle being pigtails and having a gradient from blue to pink kind of reminds me of Yan Keke, from Balala the Fairies: Magic Star Fate Castle. 😆

I mean, they’ve got the gradient from blue to pink in the hair, the pigtails, the straight bangs (that even vary in style across the whole shape), the things on the top of the head (wings vs cat ears), the bared shoulders even with sleeves, the yellow/gold heels on their boots, the bow(s) at the waist, the heart on their collar accessory…

There is also the fact that this is the first time we’re getting a leader that’s not a pink Cure (or isn’t equated to pink, the way Cure Black sometimes is)—and is also a blue Cure. Balala the Fairies has been known for having non-pink leaders before, as seen with the yellow lead Shirley (Xiao Lan)’s prominence in the early seasons up to Finding Melody, but also with Azure (Na Xiya), who was the blue lead in Ocean Magic.

Don’t get me wrong though!! Even if I find the parallels amusing, I’m not dunking on Precure or anything lol. I’ve just personally found it fun how the latest Precure seasons constantly have reminded me of Balala the Fairies in some way, which is just like…a little fun detail I enjoy as a fan of both ahaha.

For example, Tropical Rouge Precure does vaguely remind me of Balala the Fairies: Ocean Magic, if only because their themes are both island-esque. I guess the different coloured strips of hair (and gradients) and the purposefully multi-coloured eyes—with Ocean Magic featuring stars while Tropical Rouge features hearts in the eyes—also help make the parallel a bit more evident, although the designs aren’t necessarily that similar overall.

And of course Healin’ Good Precure’s Cure Sparkle is actually quite similar to Amy (Yin Xiaomin) from Balala the Fairies: Over the Rainbow…and this similarity does have me raising an eyebrow more, if only because the coincidences in design here are way more obvious. 😂

I know a lot of people joked about Precure taking design ideas from Balala back then, which is a fun turnaround considering Balala’s first few seasons started by being inspired by magical girls shows (and specifically Precure) lol.

I actually did wonder if Precure was—as some anime recently have—focusing a bit on the Chinese market, what with Cure Yum-Yum’s introduction, which is obviously Chinese-themed. I mean, it does make sense to introduce a Chinese-themed Cure for the season about food, although I did find it kind of funny since Cure Precious is Japanese-themed, Cure Yum-Yum is Chinese-themed, and then I guess…Cure Spicy is western-themed because…bread? It makes her category feel a little more underrepresented though ahaha.

I actually really like Cure Yum-Yum’s design despite my slight griping about her falling into many of the Japanese anime tropes about what makes an outfit/character visibly Chinese (the hair ornament-like buns that are reminiscent of buns, the qipao-inspired dress, and…well, it’s not in Cure Yum-Yum’s design but is in her family’s restaurant: the excessive amounts of pandas). At least they didn’t pull a Shaman King and slap a panda right on her chest slfjskdjs.

Despite containing a visible reference to China, Delicious Party Precure’s designs don’t remind me as much of Balala the Fairies… Although if I had to force a parallel, maybe I’d draw one with Finding Melody? I think it’s just because Cure Precious’ pigtails along with the rest of her hair being down reminds me of Michelle Lin (Lin Meixue), the pink character for that season…plus the big heart being in the centre of the bow tie at their chest, along with some of the ruffles on their sleeves and skirt, and even with their flower-shaped hair accessories holding the pigtails in place along with a headband, and finally with their skirt’s shape opening to reveal an underskirt. 😆

Final note though: I make these comparisons all in good fun! Especially since magical girl designs will obviously cycle through similar design choices and elements and tropes, so don’t think of this as a diss. I like both series and as an overall donghua fan I can’t help but insert my fascination with donghua wherever I go, and I haven’t been able to help making such parallels since the Cure Sparkle comparison to Amy (Yin Xiaomin) all those years ago ahaha.

Anyway, I’m actually quite excited for Hirogaru Sky Precure!! I haven’t posted about Precure in quite some time (not since Hugtto), but I do enjoy the fandom from the periphery now and I get hyped for every season’s new designs. I was especially hooked by Cure Yum-Yum’s design for Delicious Party, although I did hear that that season was rather lacklustre, so I look forward to Hirogaru, since it seems like they’re pulling out all the stops for the series’ 20th anniversary. 👀

I mean, after all these years of asking, we’re finally getting a boy Cure!! I do still think Rio and Henri were kind of robbed of that chance in Kirakira and Hugtto respectively, although I understand the need for baby steps. But seriously, Rio would have worked so well as Cure Waffle…

And hey, at least this means we’ll see Cure Wing get a proper transformation sequence!! To bring this post back since I got sidetracked here, this kind of reminds me of my excitement over Prince Noah (Youle-wangzi) from Balala the Fairies: Finding Melody, who also got his own transformation sequence!

I guess even Cure Butterfly’s role as the older one in the group (being the first Cure to be 18—although I do agree she seems younger than the previously established 17-year-old Cures) can be considered reminiscent of Shirley (Xiao Lan)’s role as the older member of the Balala the Fairies team for multiple seasons, since she’s 19-years-old—physically anyway, as it is hinted she and Noah (Youle) could be actually around 100.

^ (Bonus Note: The above shot is still my favourite [from the Finding Melody OP] because like…all they did was touch hands while grabbing popcorn but then they react like this… It still cracks me up that Noah (Youle) is drawn “like a shy girl” here bwahaha. But yeah, he and Shirley (Xiao Lan) did make for a cute ship. ^^)

Alright, to wrap this up, here’s to a new good season of Precure! I’m looking forward to it~ And of course, a happy 20th anniversary to these badass girls (and now one boy)! 🥂
