⭐The Magic Drawing Pad! 📱✨
I was surprised to receive a Tablet from XPPen in exchange for a review. Here’s my experience! 📝✨
Initially, I thought the tablet's design, meant for drawing away from a workspace and outdoors, didn't suit my lifestyle. As an introvert who rarely leaves the house or is socially active, I decided to review it from a homebody’s perspective.
I've never drawn on a display tablet before, only on regular digital tablets like the Wacom Bamboo and my current Huion Inspiroy Ink. Now, I have the XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad to try out!
At first, it was frustrating! Everything I drew looked crooked and ugly, and I felt like a fraud. But it wasn't the tablet's fault; it was like learning to draw all over again since I was used to the computer and had abandoned traditional art.
I was rushing, thinking I should be perfect immediately. I took a deep breath and remembered that learning a new tool takes time and patience. Once I gave myself the time to adapt, things started to work out.
I only explored the tablet's basic functions, but its interface is similar to an iPad or cell phone and works well. I transferred files to my computer via Telegram, but Google Drive could also be used.
There are several illustration apps available. I chose Infinite Painter first because it is similar to Procreate. I found it amusing that the process of creating art was recorded while I was drawing!
In conclusion, I find the Magic Drawing Pad to be an ideal tablet for beginners venturing into screen drawing for the first time. It offers a practical and enjoyable experience!
Feel free to ask any questions about this tablet, and I'll do my best to answer them!
They also told me to say that there would be up to 45% off during the Prime Day event on the Amazon store and the official store from July 16th to 17th! 🛍️✨
⭐ - US store: https://amzn.to/3L08x36 ⭐ - CA store: https://amzn.to/3VanP9W
They also recommended this keyboard!
⭐ - ACK08 smart keyboard: https://bit.ly/3VCgAYv
Thanks a lot to the XPPen team for their patience and for the opportunity to try out this tablet!❤️✨
---
I did this little speedpaint experiment too if you want to see! The function of recording while drawing is a very cool experience!
youtube
That's it, I hope you like it!✨

ADHD money/budgeting system I'm currently using for my benefit is going well (I've been using it for like half a year now?), and I wanna recommend it.
You Need a Budget is EXCELLENT. 10/10 do recommend. Uhhh rambling about it and my generic disclaimers + gushing extensively under the cut but TL;DR I think it's great for ADHD ppl, I've used it for 6+ months now and I find it super SUPER helpful. also weirdly fun.
DISCLAIMERS:
Budgeting helps you understand/know your money, it can't make money appear where there is none.
Everyone should learn to budget even if you don't have much money (especially then)
This is NOT a magic trick solution. Just like everything else, it is an assistive tool. This is one of those adult things we can't simply opt out of without negative consequences, though.
My advice is based on something I am currently able to do. That is, I can spend an amount of money on this specific thing that works well for me. If you have no extra money to spend then previously I was tracking things in a notebook. So you can still do this.
I believe Dave Ramsey is a fundie fraud/hack and no one should listen to him about money.
DID YOU KNOW THEY CANCELLED MINT???
Okay? OKAY.
Ahem.
You Need a Budget is EXCELLENT.
It is called YNAB for short. The first 34 days are your free trial, and that is my referral link. If anyone uses it and then signs up for a subscription, we both get a month free. Also you can share a subscription with up to six people (account owner can see everything but individuals can pick and choose what they share amongst each other) so like...idk your whole polycule can be on one account. Or your kids. Whatever.
If you are a student, it's free for a year. If you aren't, a subscription is $99 for a year (paid all at once) or $14.99 monthly, which is equivalent to paying Amazon prime. Go cancel Prime and get this instead tbh.
They got a whole article just on ynab and ADHD. They also have like...a big variety of ways to access their info? They have a book, podcast episodes, YouTube videos, blog posts, q&A's, free live workshops you can join (you can request live captioning), emails they can send (if you want) a wiki, and so on. They got workshops on all kinds of topics!!
So whatever ends up working for your brain. It also has a matching app.
If you lost Mint this year they have a gajillion things for moving from Mint.
Also they have a "got five minutes?" Page which has a slider so you can decide how much attention/time you have before going on lol:
They only have 4 rules of the budget, they're simple and practical, and it doesn't get judgey or like...mean about your spending.
1. Give every dollar a job 2. Embrace your true expenses 3. Roll with the punches 4. Age your money.
THEN THEY BREAK THESE DOWN INTO SMALL STEPS FOR YOU! They even have a printable! Also these rules are great because there's built in expectations that things WILL HAPPEN and it's NOT all or nothing with a fear of total collapse into failure. Reality and The Plan don't always align, especially if you have ADHD. So it's directing our energy towards the true expenses and not clinging to The Plan!! over reality.
You can automate a lot of shit (you can sync with your bank accounts just like mint, but also automate tagging the categories of regular expenses/transactions). And if for whatever reason you accidentally do something that makes the budget look weird or wrong:
A) you can usually fix it somehow OR b) they have like, a button you can press that gives you a clean slate and archives the previous version of the budget for you.
So if you forget for a few weeks or months, or accidentally input something wildly wrong, or just don't want to look at a really terrible month anymore and feel like you need a fresh start you can usually either fix it or start fresh which is really nice.
The app also (for whatever reason) scratches my itch to have things like...have incentives or little game-like goals in a way mint never did? I don't know why. Filling up the bars or putting money into the categories to cover my expenses is satisfying lmao. You can also make a big wish expense category for all the fun shit you want, and fund it whenever you can and then you can see the little bar go up and that's fun.
Anyways I've been using it for like 6+ months now and I think it's really helped me when I use it.

Here's the deal on the Good Omens limbo situation. My optimistic and analytic two cents, if you will.
If we look at this through a capitalistic lens, the chances of the show being cancelled are pretty slim at the moment. Think for a moment about the top three amazon prime originals that you pay/keep the platform for. Can you think of three? I honestly can't, not off the top of my head. I know I'm not really the target audience for streaming services, since I don't watch a lot of new shows, but still. I can name plenty of netflix shows I like/might watch. That's why Netflix can cancel anything and everything so easy. They don't have just one or two fandom cash cows.
Amazon, though, doesn't have a lot. Here's a list of all their original shows. I only even recognize 8 titles. I've only actually watched 2. Plus, Good Omens is currently one of the biggest fandoms in fandom right now, with Aziracrow being the top ship on ao3 for the Jan-Dec 2023 wrap up and again on the Summer 2024 leaderboard, as well as the top ship on tumblr and Good Omens as the top tv show (plus second overall after Artists on Tumblr) for 2023. We're a big deal, and I'd bet money that they're betting money on us. I also lowkey think we're the reason Amazon is spending money on a british miniseries starring Michael Sheen tbh but that's just speculation. The show has also won a slew of awards, the same of which cannot, to my knowledge, be said of many of their other properties.
So let's talk production changes; I think there's a good chance they're doing this for the same reason. Our fandom had unique access to the creator via tumblr, and a majority of the conversation around the allegations of SA against Gaiman were and are taking place in fandom spaces. There have been petitions to fire him from the show and conversations (both productive and otherwise) about the duties of fandom when engaging with content connected to problematic individuals. Meanwhile, Gaiman has effectively dissappeared from the internet. Additionally, the video and threads sharing that Terry Pratchett wrote most of the original book have been making the rounds here and I think on the bird app(?). All that to say, if they're betting on us they want to make us happy and keep their good PR. I don't ever expect a major corporation to make a "good" decision, but they will always make the profitable one.
There is, of course, also the matter of the Pratchett estate and the other major players in the matter: the actors, directors, and creative team. These are forces at play with the power to block or stall productivity and profit for Amazon through copyright and labor power. I can imagine there's conversations happening backstage that we don't know about as well as what we see in headlines.
Ultimately, I think the biggest risk to season 3 is unfortunately going to be Neil Gaiman himself and how he responds to the situation at hand. If he steps back quietly, we're living in our best case scenario and everything moves forward as much according to plan as can be expected with at least this small justice being served. I see a hissy fit on his end as the greatest potential wrench in proceedings, but that would exacerbate the (currently quiet in the mainstream) bad PR for him so I give it low odds.
All that to say. From a pragmatic viewpoint, Amazon's best interest seems to be entirely tied to ours as a fandom, and I anticipate Season 3 being made and most likely being only minorly delayed. Either way. What happens behind the scenes in corporate office buildings between rich white men is entirely out of my and your control. I know how huge anxiety can get when it relates to a special interest or a community that has a huge role in your life, and whatever happens we're in this together as a fandom. It's going to be alright. Take a deep breath and maybe get some water. Whatever happens, we're in this together as a fandom, and at least it won't be the end of the world;)
#we will be alright#also this post is CURSED it’s crashed the editor five times now#had to move to mobile to do the tags#good omens#neil gaiman#good omens 3#Neil gaiman allegations#good omens season 3#cw sa mention#good omens fandom

Guide to Watch TGCF Donghua Season 2
With the new season of the Tian Guan Ci Fu/Heaven Official's Blessing donghua finally releasing soon, I wanted to make a post explaining the different ways fans can watch and support it! Things have changed since season 1, so my old guide is no longer relevant apart from the infographics on how to subscribe to Bilibili CN (and the YouTube channel)!
And to be upfront: the main sites that are going to be broadcasting the donghua have been very sparse with information. I fully expect that we will have to wait until after the first episode releases to know all the details, so while I am making this guide to help people right now, things might change! Please keep that in mind and stay patient! I will post any important updates in the replies as I can!
Additionally, because of copyright/licensing, different sites are going to work in different regions. I do not know with 100% certainty what is going to work in a particular country. There's gonna be some trial and error!
So the main options we have for season 2 are:
Crunchyroll
Sub price: $9.99 USD per month for basic (local prices may vary)
Regions: Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Oceania.
Pros: Easy to subscribe to if available in your region.
Cons: Unlikely for true simulcast so it'll be a bit delayed.
Link to main site (season 2 listing not up yet)
For app: download via App Store/Google Play Store.
Bilibili. tv (EN site/app)
Sub price: $4.99 USD per month (local prices may vary)
Regions: Southeast Asia only.
Pros: Airs earlier than Crunchyroll. Interface is in English.
Cons: If you want to watch it outside of SEA, you'll need a VPN.
Link to Season 2 on website
For app: download via APK link on website if you are outside of SEA. Otherwise use App Store/Google Play Store.
Bilibili YouTube Channel
Sub price: $4.99/$5.99 USD per month (local prices may vary)
Regions: Many -- EXCEPT Japan, South Korea, the Americas, UK, Australia, New Zealand.
Pros: Easy to subscribe if available in your region.
Cons: If you want to watch it from the regions listed above, you'll need a VPN.
Link to channel
It's the youtube app....
Bilibili. com (CN site/app)
Sub price: $9.99 USD for 3 months
Regions: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pros: If they're gonna air season 2, then they might be the source broadcast if the EN site isn't. Also probably cheapest for those abroad.
Cons: Chinese interface may be intimidating. Not 100% sure if it'll air as normal.
Link to Season 2 on website
For app: download via App Store/Google Play Store.
(NOTE: If you are in Japan, it will be available on WOWOW. If you are in South Korea, it will be available on Laftel.)
F.A.Q.s
🔹What is the release date/time? Bilibili EN has announced it as 20:00 GMT+8 on October 18th. If it releases on Bilibili CN, it'll probably be the same time. Crunchyroll has stated October 18th, but has not yet announced a time as of the posting this guide. I checked. Japan and South Korea have their own release times, so please consult the relevant broadcasters!
🔹Can I watch it on Netflix/Amazon Prime/etc? These streaming services will likely only have it after the whole season concludes, and with a significant delay. For reference, it took several months after finishing for season 1 to be released on Netflix.
🔹Which platform should I choose? Whichever one you can actually access, and feel most comfortable using!
🔹When should I subscribe? Personally, I'll be waiting until the last day before release, just to make sure I have the most information possible. However, I'm sure the idea of doing that makes many people nervous, so... yeah. Whenever is convenient for you!
🔹Which one will have the donghua the quickest/earliest? Probably Bilibili CN & Bilibili EN. I suspect they'll simulcast with each other. I cannot be 100% certain about anything though, because of limited info! For season 1, YouTube and Funimation (now Crunchyroll) were delayed, and it's hard to say if they'll be better this time or not.
🔹Do I need a VPN for Bilibili EN or their YT channel? If you are outside of SEA, yes.
🔹Do I need a VPN for Bilibili CN? Probably not, unless you are in a country that restricts access to CN sites and apps (like India).
🔹Which VPN should I use? This will be up to you! It's best to research what the different options are, and what will work for your needs!
🔹How will I know I'll be able to watch season 2 from my region? The most surefire way is to subscribe to a platform that has officially announced to be serving your region (e.g. Crunchyroll for the Americas). Unofficially, if you can watch the latest trailer and other promo videos on your chosen platform, then there's a good chance you're okay! The exception to this is the YouTube channel, which has some of the trailers public, but has all of season 1 unavailable if you aren't in the right region.... Additionally, be mindful, because even if you're able to see season 1, season 2 might still be region-locked on certain platforms. (E.g. you can watch all of season 1 via Bilibili EN if you're from the USA no problem. But you can't access season 2 without a VPN to a SEA server.)
🔹What languages are going to be available and will there be English subtitles? While dubs for multiple languages have been confirmed, I'm unsure if any of these will be available on release. It'll likely be offered only in Chinese first. For season 1, there were hardcoded CN & EN subtitles for Bilibili on release. Funimation re-subbed the episodes (EN) for their own release, and Crunchyroll will probably do the same.
🔹I watched it on Funimation last time, can I watch it through them this time? No, they were absorbed (in some capacity idk) by Crunchyroll. So they are not distributing season 2 of TGCF, only Crunchyroll is.
🔹Is season 2 actually available in China and thus on Bilibili CN? Yes and no! As long as you are not in mainland China, it seems you will have access to season 2 through Bilibili CN. All promo materials and trailers seem to be available to us, which is a good sign! (They are not available for mainlanders, but mainland fans are able to watch via HK/Macau versions apparently.)
🔹Hopeful that it will be available, I would like to watch it via Bilibili CN, so how do I sign up and subscribe? To make an account, consult this reddit post. To subscribe, please consult the guide below! It's a little old (made it for season 1) but still works pretty much the same.
#tgcf#tian guan ci fu#hob#heaven official's blessing#tgcf donghua#guide#nyerus.txt#i know the moment i post this there will be new info that comes out#but such is the risk i take posting this on a sunday as opposed to monday#tomorrow i will have no time tho lol#CR please release a time.....

You were on the couch surfing around Amazon when you found something that caught your eye. You lightly chuckled to yourself but Bucky who was on his laptop stopped working.
“What are you laughing at pretty girl?” Bucky's voice was deep and had a hint of amusement behind it.
“Oh nothing, just found something amusing online.” You clicked “buy now” and thanks to Prime it was going to arrive the next day. “What are you up to? Almost done with work?”
Bucky’s face heated up in what looked to be embarrassment as he did a couple of clicks and slammed his laptop closed. “Oh yeah, I’m all done now.”
“Care to share what made you all red? Looking at something sexy?”
“On the computer? Don’t be like that, I have exactly what I want. She is sexy, smart, funny, beautiful, and all mine.”
Bucky got up from the table and slowly stalked over to you. You set your laptop on the coffee table as he dropped onto the couch caging you in.
“Let’s say we take this in the bedroom and I show you how sexy you are.” Bucky huskily spoke in your ear before sitting up and pulling you with him. He tossed you over his shoulder and carried you to bed.
The next day you checked the mail and noticed two packages, one addressed to you and the other to Bucky. You opened yours and took a look at the pair of panties you bought. You chuckled to yourself as you made your way to wash and dry them.
Later when they were cleaned and dried Bucky came home. You saw him take his package and disappeared. After a few minutes, you heard the washer going. He must have bought a shirt you thought to yourself. As you go about your evening cooking for the both of you Bucky scurries past you with an article of clothing. You couldn’t see what he was carrying but you didn’t think much of it.
After dinner, you and Bucky relaxed on the couch watching tv until bedtime. You yawned and stretched looking up at Bucky. “I’m going to get ready for bed.”
“Sounds good sweetheart I will be right behind you.” Bucky smiled at you as you headed towards the bedroom. Once you reached the bedroom you quickly went to your dresser and pulled out the panties. Then you went to Bucky’s closet and pulled out one of his henleys. This was going to be perfect.
Heading to the bathroom you did your nightly routine of getting ready for bed. You caught a glimpse of Bucky grabbing boxer briefs from his dresser. He went to get changed as you were finishing up. When you were done you seductively walked out to see Bucky shirtless and under the covers. As you reached the end of the bed you crawled up the bed to him, swaying your hips while he bit his lip looking at you. You crawled up his body and sat on his hips.
“God sweetheart, you look good enough to eat. But first I want my henley off you.” He slowly slid the shirt up your body and pulled it off of you leaving you only in your panties. His eyes took in your half-naked form and as his eyes scanned over you they landed on the panties. “Caution slippery when wet?” That had Bucky laughing hard. You joined him in laughing together.
“What, you don’t like my new panties?” You say in between giggles, your eyebrows wiggled as he continued to laugh.
“No, it’s not that doll. It’s just that… climb off my lap for a minute.” You crawled off and sat next to him. Bucky pulled down the covers and your eyes went wide. You started to laugh hysterically as you saw his boxer briefs that read “caution choking hazard.”
You fell to the bed laughing knowing you each bought the same product. The odds of buying the same thing were astronomical. Both your laughter started to calm down as you rolled over to your side to look at him.
“We really are meant to be together,” you say while smiling at him.
“That we are sweetheart. So do I get to see if your caution sign is real? You wet for me?” Bucky’s voice dropped an octave and you swore you grew wet instantly for him.
You shook your head no. “I want to see if what you have underneath is a choking hazard first.” Your hand caressed the bulge that the boxer briefs were hiding. Sitting up, you pulled the boxer briefs off Bucky and threw them onto the floor. Your eyes took in the size of his cock and your mouth watered. You lean down and lick the tip of his cock causing him to shudder. Your eyes lock with his blue ones as you slowly take him in your mouth. What your mouth couldn’t finish taking your hand wrapped around him to stroke his length. Up and down you sucked him down. Every now and then taking more of him in until he reaches your throat. The first time he hits your throat you gag around him, tears filling your eyes, and that pulls a groan from Bucky. You relax your throat the best you can as you go up and down on him. Bucky fists his hands in your hair as you continue to bob your head as his cock works down your throat. Your eyes are tearing up the more you choke around him. You cupped his sack and started to fondle them as you swirled your tongue around him. This made Bucky let out a moan. Up and down, faster and faster you go until finally Bucky cums with a shout of your name. He tenses up as rope after rope of cum goes down your throat. You make sure you get every last drop and swallow.
“Fuck sweetheart that was amazing.” Bucky looks down at you and sees your teary eyes and he swears you’re beautiful just the way you look. “Now let me see if it's really slippery while wet between those thighs. Bucky lays you down on the bed and makes his way between your legs. He rubs your panties and smiles up at you. “You’re soaked doll. I’m going in for a closer inspection. Pulling your panties down your legs he throws the pair on the floor with his boxer briefs.
Bucky puts both your legs over his shoulders so you are wide open for him. Leaning down he does his first lap of your wetness. When you groan he parts your lips and does it again. His tongue feels amazing as he starts to eat you like a man starved. His beard is starting to get wet the more he dives back in and takes you apart. You start panting out his name as his fingers replace his tongue and his mouth finds your clit. Your back lightly arches as his two fingers fuck you in earnest. Your silky walls keep pulling his fingers back inside you as your breaths start picking up.
He knows you are close and he is patiently waiting for you to crest that mountain. His mouth latches on to your clit and he sucks it, his tongue flicking it every other time. Finally, he gives you what you want and rubs against your sweet spot deep inside you. In moments you are crying out his name as you cum for him. His mouth continues to eat you out until you are pulling on his hair as your hips stop rocking against him. Bucky pulls away gently, kneeling between your legs and you see his beard is completely soaked.
He is licking his lips as he flips you over onto your stomach and pulls your hips up. “Someone completely soaked my beard and god do I love it.” In one fluid motion, Bucky was sinking deep inside your core. He sets a firm, deep pace as he wants to pull the most noises out of you that drive him wild. Every thrust in and out has you begging for more.
“Bu-Bucky…Harder, please!” Your fingers hold onto the sheets underneath you as Bucky starts to plow harder into you.
“Is this what my doll wants? Daddy deep inside her pussy? Want me to fuck you stupid?” He asks in that deep voice you love so much.
“Yes! Please, Daddy. I need it, I need you!”
Bucky obliges, going deeper and harder. Skin slapping against skin fills the air and takes you apart. Your whines and moans are music to his ears as he fucks you with earnest. Every time your pussy tightens around his cock Bucky lets out a growl. Your whines keep getting louder and louder until finally, you’re cumming around his cock. A few more hard strokes and Bucky is right behind you cumming deep inside you. After a few lazy thrusts, he pulls out of you and both of you collapse on the bed.
“Buying those panties was one of your best ideas sweetheart,” Bucky says as he kisses your shoulder.
Catching your breath you smile at him. “Those boxer briefs were perfect. We need to do this again sometime.” Bucky nods his head as he gets out of bed to grab a washcloth for you to clean with. Once you've cleaned up you crawl under the covers with Bucky right behind you. He spoons you from behind and kisses your neck.
“Good night sweetheart,” he breathes against your neck.
“Goodnight Buck,” you whisper before you fall asleep.

IWTV didn’t enter Top 10 on Netflix US, I thought they’ll be at the top spot tho, the way iwtv becomes viral these days on twitter, how everytime filmupdates tweet about IWTV it received million views on twitter, the way now I think our fandom grow big, but why no one is watching it on official platform tho, this is real problem because I remember most of iwtvtwt even watched season 2 from google drive, not even from legal app like amc or amazon prime, now when it’s on netflix, they don’t even bother to watch it legally there *sigh* how do you wanna make 8 seasons of it if the viewership is still low like this, we need to wake up, stream it legally, appreciate the actors & crews hard work

BIG STRATEGY SHIFT. David has cited Apple TV, Amazon Prime and Netflix and potential streamers to pick up Our Flag Means Death. We need to be polite menaces. More strategies are being developed, but for now you can go on Twitter, tag their accounts one at a time, and show them why Our Flag Means Death is worth saving. Make sure you use the hashtag #AdoptOurCrew
ALSO, if you’re an international viewer and the streamer has an account related to your nation, tag them as well. Streamers love to see their content reach worldwide. If they have a queer-oriented account, tag them too.
Additionally, Netflix has an online form where you can submit shows to be added:
You can submit more than once, but don’t spam them or you’ll be blacklisted.
There’s also a feedback form for Apple TV. Rick Apple TV then select Apple TV+ under dropdown menu.
And a feedback form for Prime:
This is a HUGE development. Everybody GO GO GO!!!
I’ll be adding more info to this post as it’s available.
Don’t forget to sign and share the petition!

LOL
Anyways yeah, I do! You could pirate it all right here, or if you want to support the show through official sources the first 2 seasons are on Amazon prime, and seasons 3 and 4 are on the sketchiest app held together by tape "Happy Kids".

AMAZON HAULT DISSCUSSION
Everything is less than $20 (much less, for the most part) and items arrive in one to two weeks, going completely against the grain of the company’s larger push for faster and faster shipping times.
From a business perspective, it’s a sector that the Seattle-based e-commerce giant could no longer ignore. With Temu’s U.S. e-commerce market share projected by eMarketer to grow from 0.7% this year to 2.3% next year, Haul seems like an obligatory experiment for Amazon, at least, and maybe a critical long-term move.
For now, Amazon Haul is mobile-only.
The best way to access it, in my experience, is to search for “Haul” in the search bar in the Amazon app. It’s filled with the tricks of the trade from this e-commerce genre, with playful language encouraging you to buy enough for free shipping, and more nudging after that for additional discounts.
As a member of Generation X, I’m probably not in the target demographic. (OK, definitely not.) I’ve glanced at Shein and Temu in the past, never actually ordered. I’m not a regular TikTok user, let alone an aficionado of TikTok Shop.
That said, I’m a longtime Amazon customer and Prime subscriber, like much of the U.S. population, so maybe I’m representative of the company’s opportunity to introduce these concepts to its larger customer base.
Here are my off-the-cuff thoughts after my first Amazon Haul experience.
This is a lot of crap. Scrolling down the list of items such as $4.99 wrist straps for weightlifting, $4.99 silicon dish drying mats, $2.73 oval shoelaces for sneakers, and $2.99 decorative outdoor solid throw pillow covers, it felt like rooting through abandoned items in the back of a warehouse — which might not be that far off.
My cart had lots of “lonely vibes” for a while while I tried to identify enough items that I would actually use to reach the $25 minimum needed for free shipping.
I ended up using the search bar to find items such as a $1.99 six-pack of adjustable cable organizers, an $8.79 pair of mesh zipper pouches for office supplies, a $3.99 desktop cell phone stand, a $6.99 small screwdriver set, and a $5.99 electronic cable organizer and accessories carrying case.
Yes, that was quite a haul! OK, I’ll admit I’m not immune to the dopamine that comes from treating shopping as entertainment. Looking at my cart, I was starting to see the appeal. My subtotal was $27.75, and the grand total after tax was $30.62, with a promise to arrive sometime between Nov. 21 and Nov. 25.
I can’t remember buying five different items for $30 on Amazon in the past. And it’s kinda fun to know that I’ve got various products arriving in a week or so. I’ll probably forget what I ordered in the meantime, making the experience more along the lines of receiving a surprise gift from myself.
With no small amount of guilt about the implications of modern consumerism, and recognizing my contribution to the demise of humanity, I could envision making a monthly (or weekly?) Amazon Haul order if the browsing experience was more tailored to me, and it wasn’t so tough to find items that I would want to buy.
Which leads to my last big takeaway …
Amazon Haul isn’t yet leveraging the company’s biggest strengths. The beta of Amazon Haul is largely disconnected from the existing Amazon shopping experience, as of now. The company clearly isn’t using what it knows about me and my buying/browsing history to target items to me that I’d be more inclined to like.
From the outside, given all the company’s expertise in e-commerce, this seems like a trivial enhancement to make, and one that could dramatically change not only the experience of using Amazon Haul but also the volume of orders.
In the meantime, I’m looking forward to trying out that cell phone stand and adjustable cable cords in the next week or so. I’ll post an update about the receiving experience after I get my first Amazon Haul. Credit : Seo Blogger _____________ Start With Amazon Haul Here !

How Amazon transformed the EU into a planned economy
Amazon is a perfect parable of enshittification, the process by which platforms first offer subsidies to end users until they’re locked in, then make life good for business customers at users’ expense, until they’re locked in, then claw back all the value they can for themselves, leaving just enough behind to keep the lock-in going.
In a new report for SOMO, Margarida Silva describes how the end-stage enshittification of Amazon is playing out in the EU, with Amazon repeating its US playbook of gouging the small businesses who have no choice but to use the platform in order to reach its locked-in customers, making European customers and European sellers poorer:
https://www.somo.nl/amazons-european-chokehold/
The mechanism for this isn’t a mystery. Amazon boasts about it! They call it their flywheel: first, customers are lured into the platform with low prices, especially through Prime, which requires pre-payment for a year’s shipping, which virtually guarantees that customers will start their shopping on Amazon. Because customers now start their buying on Amazon, sellers have to be there. The increased range of goods for sale on Amazon lures in more buyers, who lure in more sellers, with both sides holding each other hostage:
https://vimeo.com/739486256/00a0a7379a
This flywheel creates a vicious cycle, starving local retail so that customers can’t get what they need from brick-and-mortar shops, which funnels sellers into offering their goods for sale on Amazon. The less choice customers and sellers have about where they shop, the more Amazon can abuse both to pad its own bottom line.
There are 800,000 EU-based sellers on Amazon, and they have seen the junk-fees that Amazon charges them skyrocket, to the point where they have to raise prices or lose money on each sale. Amazon uses both tacit and explicit “Most Favored Nation” deals to hide these price-hikes. Under an MFN deal, sellers must not allow their goods to be sold at a lower price than Amazon’s — so when they raise prices to cover Amazon’s increasing fees, they raise them everywhere:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/04/25/greedflation/
It’s not hard to understand why Amazon would raise its fees: the company has an effective e-commerce monopoly. Like Ozymandias, they have run out of worlds to conquer, and so their growth has to come from squeezing suppliers and/or raising prices, not from bringing in new customers. This is likewise true of mobile companies like Apple and Google, who have run out of people who are so excited about incremental mobile hardware gains that they’ll buy a new phone every year, which means that growth has to come from squeezing app vendors:
https://www.tbray.org/ongoing/When/202x/2023/06/09/Pixel-4-to-7
This is likewise true of the streaming companies, which is why Netflix is cracking down on “password sharing”:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/02/02/nonbinary-families/#red-envelopes
It’s true of the movie studios, which is why they want to zero out their wage bills by replacing writers with automatic plausible sentence generators that will write stupid movies that they think we’ll still pay to see because there won’t be anything else:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/05/06/people-are-not-disposable/#union-strong
It’s certainly true of Uber, which is why they’ve double the cost of a taxi ride and halved the wages they pay drivers:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/04/12/algorithmic-wage-discrimination/#fishers-of-men
Monopolies “grow” by making their customers and suppliers worse off. But they have to be careful about this: if it’s obvious that you’re using your market power to screw buyers, you can get in trouble with competition regulators. That’s because the only part of antitrust law that the neoliberal project left intact is “consumer welfare” — the idea that monopolies should only face enforcement when they raise prices and/or lower quality:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/10/10/play-fair/#bedoya
This focus on price-hikes has given monopolists a free hand to squeeze suppliers and workers, because a monopolist — from Walmart to Amazon — can claim that squeezing your workers and suppliers is necessary to enhancing consumer welfare. The less you pay to produce a product, the cheaper you can price it.
When a company has a lot of seller power, we call it a monopolist. When it has a lot of buying power, we call it a monopsonist. No one ever made a bestselling, family-destroying board game called “Monopsony” so most people haven’t heard of the concept. But monopsony is every bit as dangerous as monopoly, and monopsonists find it far easier to acquire market power than monopolists. Few suppliers can afford to have even 10% of their sales disappear overnight, so a buyer who accounts for 10% of your sales can demand deep discounts and other favorable terms.
Amazon is a monopolist, but it’s also a very powerful and ruthless monopsonist. For example, its audiobook division, Audible, has a 90+% market-share, and it used that market-power to steal at least $100m from audiobook creators, in a scandal dubbed Audiblegate:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/09/07/audible-exclusive/#audiblegate
For Europe’s 800k sellers who rely on Amazon to reach their customers, the monoposony conditions are blatant and shameless. Take listing fees: Amazon’s “flywheel” pitch claims that as the company grows, it achieves “economies of scale” that can lower its cost basis. But Amazon’s listing fees haven’t changed, even as the company experienced explosive growth in the EU (remember, sellers whose Amazon fees exceed their margins have to pass those fees onto buyers, and also raise their prices everywhere else to satisfy the Most Favored Nation requirement).
Amazon books the revenues from these fees — and other junk-fees it extracts from sellers — in Luxembourg, an EU member nation that provides a tax haven to multinational businesses that want to maintain the fiction that they operate their businesses out of the tiny kingdom. There is sharp competition in the EU to offer the most servile, corrupt environment for multinationals, and Luxembourg is a leader, along with Cyprus, Malta and, of course, Ireland:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/05/15/finnegans-snooze/#dirty-old-town
But at least listing fees haven’t gone up, unlike other fees, which have climbed sharply. Amazon falsely claimed that its additional revenues from fees were the result of growth by independent sellers, which Amazon pegged at 65%. Later, the company admitted that the true growth figure was 22%. Meanwhile, fees are up 85%.
The true growth figure might be lower still. Amazon refuses to show the math behind its growth figures, or even say which sellers and sales are included in the figure.
The SOMO report cites research by Juozas Kaziukėnas of the e-commerce research firm Marketplace Pulse, who finds that sellers are now giving 50% of their gross revenues to Amazon, an increase of 10% over the past five years across the whole EU. However, different EU (and ex-EU) countries have experienced much steeper increases in fees — in the UK, fees have nearly doubled (up 98%), and in France, fees more than doubled (up 115%).
Many of these increases come from the Fulfilment By Amazon (FBA) program, which is promoted as an optional service, but which is really obligatory — careful research shows that sellers who warehouse, pack and ship their own goods get banished to the depths of search results, even if they have ratings, costs and times that are competitive with FBA. This is especially true of the “buy box” that lands at the top of most searches. The company refuses to disclose how buy box positioning is determined, but 90% of products in the buy box pay for FBA.
Amazon has used excuseflation to hike its FBA prices, blaming higher energy prices for price hikes that predated the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and blaming covid for price hikes that predated the pandemic.
Italy’s competition authority did yeoman service in uncovering the sleaze of FBA, publishing an investigation that showed that Prime and buy box made the notionally “optional” FBA into a must-have for merchants, meaning that Amazon could jack up FBA prices without losing business.
Another notable source of gouging came in response to the UK and France adopting digital services taxes, which were meant to make up for the tax-base erosion enabled by Luxembourg’s flouting of EU tax law. Amazon passed these taxes straight through to its merchants, without seeing a comparable decrease in the number of sellers using its platforms — an unmistakable sign of market power. If you can raise prices without losing customers, then, by definition, your customers have nowhere else to go.
I’ve previously written about how Amazon’s $31b/year “advertising” market isn’t really advertising — rather, it’s a payola scheme that auctions off the top of a search-listing to the merchant with the most to spend:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/11/28/enshittification/#relentless-payola
This is how you get a simple search like “cat beds” returning results whose first screen is 100% ads, and whose next five screens are 50% ads, many of them for dog products:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/interactive/2022/amazon-shopping-ads/
Auctioning off search results means that every time you search for something you want, you have to wade through screen after screen of listings for products whose vendors spent more on advertising, leaving less to spend on making quality goods.
This is as true in the EU as it is in the USA. The SOMO report shows that European merchants are required to spend ever-larger sums to show up in results for the exact products they sell, leaving them with a choice between making less money, raising prices, or skimping on quality.
But even the “winners” of Amazon’s gladiatorial combat among vendors can still lose. Amazon uses an automated product removal process that can delete some or all of a merchant’s products, without warning or explanation, and no one at Amazon will explain what a merchant did wrong. That remains true even if a vendor pays for Amazon’s “marketplace consultant” service — ask these paid Virgils why you’ve been cast into Amazon’s pit, and they’ll shrug their shoulders (and bill you for it).
And even if you can navigate the junk fees, the Kafka-as-a-service removals, the war of all sellers against all sellers for search primacy…you still lose. Merchants told SOMO that a product that survives Amazon’s gauntlet is likely to be cloned by Amazon and sold as an Amazon Basic or other house-brand product. Amazon doesn’t charge itself 50% junk fees, so it can always underprice the vendors it knocks off, and give its own products permanent top-of-search placement.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos once testified under oath before Congress that this doesn’t happen — and then refused to return to Congress when multiple vendors showed evidence that he’d lied:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/10/18/amazon-congress-letter-third-party-data/
He definitely lied:
https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/amazon-india-rigging/
Amazon has faced investigations and enforcement in the EU over this, and settled a claim with a promise to “not use non-public seller data to compete with sellers,” but given the company’s record of broken promises on this score and the difficulty of catching them cheating, it’s pretty naive to think they’ll stick to this.
The report quotes Thomas Höppner, a lawyer who has represented small businesses that Amazon screwed over. Höppner says the problem is that the EU evaluates Amazon’s bad deeds on a “case-by-case” basis, missing the big picture: “By the time one identified problem was seemingly solved, Amazon had long made amendments elsewhere with the same effect. We require a more holistic approach that considers the entire Amazon ecosystem and the various interdependencies within.”
But the EU’s enforcement approach is about to change significantly. The EU just passed the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which imposes a bunch of obligations on Amazon:
allowing sellers to offer their products on other marketplaces at different prices (Article 5.3),
not obliging business users to pay for one of its services in order to use its platform (Article 5.8),
limiting the way Amazon uses non-public seller data to compete with them (Article 6.2)
preventing Amazon from giving top billing in search results to its own products or sellers that have acquired extra Amazon services (Article 6.5)
The report concludes with a suite of recommendations for improving EU enforcement. First, they argue for a return to traditional competition law, abandoning the “consumer welfare standard” that is so friendly to monopsonies and their abuses of suppliers and workers.
They call for a probe into Amazon’s Most Favored Nation deals (“fair pricing policy”), the practice of sponsoring search results, and spiraling fees. They want the EU to adequately fund DMA enforcement, with “measures to prevent regulatory capture.” And they want Amazon to publish clear explanations for how search results, buy box placement, and other practices hidden behind a veil of secrecy.
Amazon will doubtless claim that disclosing how those systems work will make it easier for spammers and scammers to game their way to the top of search results. We should be skeptical of this claim — content moderation is the last domain where anyone takes the bankrupt idea of security through obscurity seriously:
https://doctorow.medium.com/como-is-infosec-307f87004563
Finally, the report calls for breaking up Amazon, forcing it to choose between being a platform seller or a platform user, calling this the only way to “prevent the conflicts of interest between its role as a platform intermediary, seller, and service provider.”
The technical term for this measure is “structural separation” — a rule that bans platform companies from competing with their business customers. This is the principle at work in the US bipartisan AMERICA Act, which would force Google and Meta to spin off the parts of their ad-tech business that put them in a conflict of interest. Right now, Googbook represents both publishers and advertisers, while operating the marketplace where ad sales take place, and they take 51% out of every ad dollar:
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2023/05/save-news-we-must-shatter-ad-tech
Structural separation hasn’t really been applied in the US for a generation, but it’s gained currency in recent years, for the obvious reason that the referee can’t also own one of the teams. I was in Germany last week speaking to regulators and politicians, and they espoused skepticism that the EU would embrace structural separation anytime soon.
But they were wrong! Today, the European Commission announced plans to force Google and Meta to sell off their conflict-of-interest ad-tech lines of business, mirroring the provisions of the US AMERICA Act:
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/06/google-may-soon-be-ordered-to-break-up-its-lucrative-ad-business-eu-warns/
Structural separation really is the policy we should be demanding. It’s amazing that lawyers who would never argue a case in front of a judge who was married to the plaintiff will turn around and defend the idea that Amazon can fairly operate a marketplace where they compete with other sellers.
With Amazon dominating online sales, and with in-person retail cratering, Amazon’s decisions have the power to determine the outcome of whole swathes of Europe’s economy. This is the “planned economy” that the EU claims it detests and seeks to prevent — but it’s an economy planned by distant autocrats in a Seattle boardroom, for the purpose of extracting the surpluses needed to launch an endless procession of penis-rockets.

Sorry you’ve been asked this repeatedly… but how is Concord, and many high-budget game cancellations, going to smoke up to investors/execs and change things? Will investors en masse just start pulling out of games industry altogether? I see you repost Today on Steam sometimes and market over-saturation seems like an actual crisis at this point.
I mean, you're exactly right. I don't understand how investors are sticking around anymore. You talk about market over-saturation and something that has spooked me for years is just how many publishers give away games or at least put them on deep discount.
Like, EGS, right. In three years they have given away almost 450 games. They give away so many games for free that I've actually stopped paying attention because it's clear I'm rarely using the client. But I've never given them a penny, and my 4-year-old EGS library is already one third the size of my 20 year old Steam library.
Now, you could say that's because Epic is burning the candle at both ends trying to shake Valve's market lead, but we could also talk about something like, say, Twitch Prime. I get a low income discount on Amazon Prime, so I get free shipping, Prime Video, and Twitch Prime for like $5 a month.
And Twitch Prime includes free games every month, right? Normally that's through some kind of terrible Amazon App for Windows, something both Twitch and Amazon seem to bury given I've never seen a download link anywhere in my entire life. Even if I knew where to download, I wouldn't do it, given I'm sure it's loaded full of tracking and telemetry. But on top of the usual Amazon App games, they've also started including keys for games on EGS and GOG.
So for $5 a month I've been getting 5-10 games on three different storefronts, including ones I'm actually going to install and play games through. And games I actually want to play, too, like Industria (GOG), Arcade Paradise (GOG), Loop Hero (EGS), Ghost Song (GOG), Shredder's Revenge (EGS), etc.
On top of the 2-3 games EGS normally gives away per month, on top of whatever else may be happening elsewhere. GOG may be giving away its own free game as part of a sale promo, for instance. So if we're talking annually, I pay $60 a year for Twitch Prime for roughly 144 games all put together. If you subtract Prime, that's still probably over 30 games a year, totally free.
And then you figure out places like Humble and Fanatical, entire storehouses that specialize in very cheap bundles.
At some point it's not even "for gamers on a budget." This is just the way the industry is now. Even games that sell well will plummet in price and end up in bundles or even just get given away for free. Deathloop, Outer Worlds, Evil Within 2, Plague Tale, Dragon Age Inquisition, Midnight Suns, Callisto Protocol, Arkham Knight, Control, Nioh, Prey...
I did not pay a penny for these games, but I own them. A consumer is very happy with that but it does not seem like a sign of a healthy industry. That is money being spent and spent and spent and spent, but it's not going back in to develop new games. It feels like this industry is hanging by the thread of FOMO alone, because if you can wait a year, maybe two, either you'll get a game straight up for free, or at least for 75-80% off.
Who would actually invest in an industry that has been bleeding so violently for so many years?

Daily Check-in: October 11th, 2023 🎀
So I was wat more productive then I had thought i would be given the exhaustion I felt from jet lag. I am proud of what I got done! However, I only slept about 2 hours, and it was broken sleep at that so I am not exactly feeling top of my game at the moment. We'll see what my energy allows me to complete today.
🩷 What I Ate, Oct 11th -
Brunch/Lunch - Spaghetti with meat sauce and ground turkey, topped with grated parmesean
Dinner - Turkey & Roast Beef bagel sandwich with avocado, 1 slice muenster cheese, 1 slice cheddar cheese, and a small side of potato chips.
Snack - a half bowl of spaghetti with ground turkey and meat sauce
Extra - 4 cups of coffee, each with one sweet n low and a splash of French vanilla creamer
I actually cooked which is odd for me as I typically don't have energy. My goal for today is to cook a batch of ground beef for taco bowls!
🩷 Personal Achivements, Oct 11th -
Washed bed sheets + pillowcases
Did the dishes
Maintained Duolingo streak (1 lesson)
Maintained Busuu streak (3 lessons)

🩷 Academic ToDo, Oct 12th -
Chapter 9 Notes Psyc
Quiz Chapter 9 Psyc
Culinary chapter 10 Quiz
Consumer Debt Inventiry assignment
Using Credit personal finance assignment
I've put a lot on my to-do list for today, but if I can even get a third of each list done, I will still be very proud of myself. Productivity should not come at the cost of my own well-being. Maybe I'll take a nap today? My boyfriend thinks it's a good idea, but I'm not a big fan of naps regardless of the situation. We shall see.
I took complete advantage of the prime big deals on Amazon and ordered some new workout clothes, some hair accessories, a set of silk pillowcases, and supplies for my bullet journal language tracker/planner. I even bought this cute little journal that's made specifically for fitness and health tracking, as a little side thing of mine to help keep me going! It comes with stickers and already set up pages, so hopefully, it proves to be useful!
I may or may not have made an Ulta order for some makeup using my afterpay account as well, because as it gets colder outside I'm starting to want to wear makeup for fun again. I'm not typically drawn to full beat looks but in the winter I love going all out with my makeup looks, whether I'm doing a more grunge goth emo look or a soft coquette girly look and everything in between. I love makeup as a form of self expression!
May or may not buy some more skincare as well, I'm just trying to decrease the amount of stuff in my skincare cart on the shopping app but it's so hard choosing what to get now and what to wait on!! I'm super indecisive too so that intensified the struggle.
Thats all for today! I'll make sure to update you lovelies tonight/tomorrow!
til next time, lovelies 🩷

I'm not sure why this is so hard for people to find, but here's all options for watching LEGO: Monkie Kid! -- THINGS TO NOTE! --
- Yes, LEGO: Monkie Kid is made in Australia! It is made in English! It's made by Flying Bark Studios which also worked on The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Glitch Techs, and more! So, the original dub IS in English! - ALSO YES- it does seem to air in China first. From what I've seen, it aires in China first, then goes international about a month later. It's easy to understand- considering how inspired it is from Journey to the West. This happens to other shows too, so if you're frustrated, I understand! - The first special, (aka. the Pilot), A Hero is Born, is an Amazon Kids original.
-- WHERE TO WATCH --
- Seasons 1 & 2, and both of their specials, are available to watch on Prime Video!
Amazon US does not have the streaming rights to Seasons 3 & 4. We can hope that maybe one day they get the rights so it's easier to watch, but right now there are a few other options. - Seasons 3 & 4 can be watched on HappyKids, Kabillion, and the LEGO Channel! Kabillion and the LEGO Channel seem to only be available through SmartTVs- however!
HappyKids is completely free and is available on Apple, Google, and Mircosoft app stores! If you try and use the search bar, nothing really shows up. If you want to use the search bar, you must use each episode name IN ORDER! Otherwise don't use this app, I don't recommend most of the stuff on there is awful. As of now, those are the only legal options. - ALL SEASONS are available through sites such as KissCartoon and Kim Cartoon, however, these sites do not profit the show or its creators! *IF YOU USE THESE SITES, PLEASE USE AN ADBLOCKER FOR YOUR SAFETY! Fans have also been making Google Drives of all seasons, so it is easier and safer to watch! These are easy to find through a simple Google search!
Happy Watching!
.. please let amazon get the rights to stream this show, please i'm begging i know it probably won't happen but PLEASE-
