the possible future of the hatchetfield series: hatchetfield halloween party livestream full rundown

again apologies if someone has already done something like this, but I’m procrastinating doing my coursework and just want to talk about hatchetfield I want everyone to be aware of this exciting stuff that was announced in the stream so here you go:

the next starkid musical to be released will not be in the hatchetfield universe.

the guy who didn’t like musicals will soon be ready to license.

nightmare time 3 was originally planned to be released in the same year as nightmare time 2 and will wrap up the overarching nightmare time stories (which seem to be miss holloway and the foster sisters respectively).

if they did a fourth hatchetfield musical, it would be about miss holloway and her backstory. it is already written. I am very very extremely normal about this fact 😃

there is a possibility of a hatchetfield movie, and workin’ boys was sort of a test for this concept. it would be a slasher murder mystery centering around the hatchetfield community players (zoey chambers and the cast of workin’ girls, possibly also with ruth, hidgens, alice and any other theatre-oriented characters but that part’s just my speculation). the transcription of the teaser description can be found below the nmt descriptions.

A list of my hatchetfield headcanons in no particular order

1. Richie is short, like barely taller then Ruth. I just feel like he should be a little guy. Like Jon was trying to convey small to me I can feel it

2. Max never bullied the Fosters, neither Lex nor Hannah. Lex obviously smokes but for Hannah I just like the idea he gives her a free pass because he can relate to their situation

3. Becky and Duke are well aquatinted thanks to their jobs overlap, but they also likely get along outside of that. Like they will have a good friendly conversation in the grocery store

4. Paul doesn’t like musical theater but he has a soft spot for Disney movies, hence him knowing Moana better than Ted or Bill. Maybe it’s because he was sort of the office babysitter and he just kept seeing them even after Pete and Alice ‘outgrew’ them

5. Alice told her dad she thought Paul was cool because she thought they were dating and she was trying to be supportive. Bill didn’t get the implication

6. If/when Charlotte leaves Sam I want to believe Ted would straighten up for her. Oh his humor is still crude and he is still Ted but he’d try dangit (I just want nice things for Charlotte and Ted)

7. Richie (i hc him as Paul’s nephew), Pete and Alice spent a lot of time at Paul’s house as kids. Paul used babysitting as an excuse to not do certain activities with coworkers. Alice also spent a lot of time being watched by Paul during her parents divorce (hence her assuming he was her dads new bf)

8. Richie and Trevor have both worked at the movie theater. Trevor is the one who had beef with Ethan, Richie just did not give a fuck about the job so he didn’t care if Ethan (who was banned) showed up and underpaid to see a movie or whatever.

9. Related to 8, Ethan didn’t know they were two different people until Richie dyed his hair blue. Ethan eventually realized the blue haired one was the ‘chill one’

10. Ruth and Richie are always friends in the timelines, it’s Pete who’s kind of a wildcard. Grace too, as per Working Boys showing us she was willingly hanging out with them.

Buddie: 4x13 Recap in preparation for 7x9 (other ships included too)

Ok... I'm intrigued for the last two episodes now after reading the journalists' commentary who've previewed the episode. MG said 7x9 and 7x10 should have been billed as a two part finale and the GIF he used to describe it in one word was "Pain". Also, KP said it seems like they're picking up "old threads" that weren't properly explored. Well... I REMEMBER THERE'S A LOT THAT WASN'T EXPLORED BETWEEN BUCK AND EDDIE 👀 (more on them below).

I've been thinking about 4x13 and the whereabouts of all the 'ships during that episode to parallel them with 7x9 and here goes. (Buddie is last just like they were at the end of 4x13).

Bathena

4x13 - Bobby and Athena were on the outs because in 4x12, Athena mentioned after she was attacked by Jeffrey in 3x17, she was offered early retirement but she turned it down. She never told Bobby about it. They ARGUED for the first time in 4x13 and they were still arguing when Hen called Bobby in 4x14 to tell him Eddie had been shot.

7x9 - Bobby's struggling with his past and Athena's worried about him just like she was worried in 4x13 that he was hiding something from her. It's possible from the 7x9 sneak peek that Bobby might be having delusions of someone being after him.

Henren

4x13 - Toni (Hen's mother) got sick and she fainted. Hen's medical school classmates helped her figure out what was wrong with her. After she was admitted to the hospital, Toni told Hen, the medical field needed more African American doctors.

7x9 - Hen and Karen have a foster child named Mara. Reminder, they had just given Nia back to her mother earlier in season 4 and Hen struggled with it because she didn't want her to go back to Evangeline.

Madney

4x13 - Maddie was struggling with PPD and she was going through it. She was still going to work but Chimney wasn't aware of how much she was struggling until she told him. Maddie quit her job in 4x14 and in 7x7 she told Amir she used to be a nurse.

After 7x6, Madney is in a happy place so it's unclear what, if anything, they could be struggling with in 7x9.

Buddie

4x13 - Buck and Eddie’s storylines were the most intense, the most intertwined and the biggest. Reminder, Eddie didn't breakup with AF after Carla told him to follow his heart and not Chris'.

AF found out Charlie's mother was swindling people out of their money which led to Eddie figuring out she was poisoning him.

He told Buck and Chimney about it and Buck didn't even put on his uniform, he just left with Eddie.

Captain Jeshan Mehta and the 133 were dispatched to the call and Buck drove the Batallion SUV to the scene with Eddie in the passenger's seat.

Then the 3 minutes and 17 seconds that changed everything. It showed the audience that Buck and Eddie are in love with each other and if they missed it, they should rewatch the episode.

Eddie reached for Buck and in 4x14, he asked him if he was hurt.

7x9 - Eddie didn't breakup with Maris*l in 7x5 like he should have the same way he didn't breakup with AF in 4x13 like he should have.

The 133 will be on a scene in 7x9 or 7x10 and it'll be interesting to see if Captain Mehta will be there too.

Also, Eddie’s either having delusions that the woman he met either looks like Shannon or he thinks she does. This parallel with Bobby appears to be mental instead of physical this time, so if history is about to repeat itself, then it's likely Bobby and Eddie could both be suffering from delusions. Reminder, Bathena and Buddie ALWAYS PARALLEL EACH OTHER.

If TM is really about to redo a scene for Buck and Eddie that will rival the shooting and explore EVERYTHING THE F*X NETWORK WOULDN'T LET HIM DO WITH BUCK AND EDDIE THREE YEARS AGO THEN... THIS IS ABOUT TO BE EPIC!

IYKYK Buck and Eddie are in love with each other and if Eddie gets hurt again, EVERYBODY IS GOING TO SEE IT THIS TIME INCLUDING T*MMY, HELENA, RAMON AND THE 118.

The will was revealed in 4x14 and maybe it's meaning will be explored in 7x10 along with the reason why Eddie waited a whole year to tell Buck about it. It's possible it will come into play again before the end of the season, especially if Eddie's badly injured this time and the Diaz parents show up. If Helena thinks she's taking Chris to El Paso with them, she'll be WRONG because Buck’s his legal guardian.

Reminder, the 133 was there the last time but this time they'll be with their found family and Buck can't hide his feelings for Eddie, like EVER especially when he's injured or hurt.

In 7x6, the foreshadowing was there when he thought Eddie was dead while he was lying in the bathtub.

T*mmy doesn't have a chance with Buck because Buck and Eddie gave each other their hearts a long time ago and I can't wait until T*mmy sees it with his own eyes so he'll be gone. He won't be able to pretend Buck was trying to get his attention anymore because Buck’s going to go nuts if Eddie's hurt again. His heart will be on full display and there won't be any denying who he loves.

1. How does Fiddlestan happen in this au? Will there be an intervention from the Hexsquad, Mabel and probably Ford?

In this AU, Fiddleford and Stan meet during the events of the final season of The Owl House, here, Fiddleford was helped by Stanford (driven by guilt over losing Stan), and Fiddleford was gradually restored through therapy to a functioning man and helper in the lab.

Their dynamic would be similar to the comics where Stan and Fidds look for how to open the portal to bring Ford back, here, Fidds would be reluctant to help Stan, but when the Hex Squad uses the power of emotional manipulation, Fidds agrees and from there, everything goes naturally.

Of course, the dynamic between the two has so much chemistry that Stanford notices, is shocked by the situation and doesn't know if he wants them to be together or not, since the chaos could be caused by either of them.

And of course, the children would help make this couple a reality, especially Luz and Mabel.

2. How does "Eda's Requiem" episode go? Will Stan be with Eda and Raine or will he be with King and Luz?

For me, personally, I think Stan should be with the kids, more than anything because he is also one of the most important people for Eda, he is her best friend and accomplice in crime, but Eda knows that after hiding the truth about the portal from her, he will not want to be with her and will want to go home, just like Luz and King.

Besides the fact that I really like the idea of Luz seeing Stan as her foster father or life mentor, it would be nice to do some scenes where Stan and Luz share weird anecdotes and chat, or see them training their magic, with King it would be something similar, the three of them feel like they must return to a home that doesn't feel like their home, but at least they have each other.

And clearly Stan would know about the nice surprise King had for Eda, what he didn't know is that King saw Stan as a father too, much less that he also had papers lined up, and since he's still technically married to Eda, the rest is history.

Let's just say that tears were not lacking that day...

3. How will Ford find out about the curse?

Now we come to the most delicate question...

It would be during Halloween night, during the events of chapter 1 of the third season of The Owl House, where Hunter is possessed and the children begin to fight against Belos.

Stan would be filled with anger and helplessness to see one of his children suffering something so horrible, and of course, he would not allow something like that.

And everyone already knows what happens when Eda gets angry... So what happens next is logical...

When Ford first sees Stan's transformation, for a moment he thinks he's turning into a werewolf, but when he sees the way Stan has control over his movements and dodges Belos' attacks, he understands that this isn't something new, much less something like a normal werewolf curse, it's something more...

During a moment of the battle, Stan manages to get close to Belos/Hunter, and manages (somehow) to make Belos transfer into his body, perhaps Belos thought that controlling him would be easier, But he was wrong...

Stan had already faced his curse head on, facing Bill in his own mind, so facing Belos was not difficult.

Además de que me gusta mucho la idea de que Luz vea a Stan como su padre postizo o mentor de la vida, sería lindo hacer algunas escenas donde Stan y Luz comparten anécdotas raras y charlan, o verlos entrenando su magia, con King sería algo similar, los tres sienten que deben volver a un hogar que no siente como su hogar, Pero al menos se tienen entre si

Y claramente Stan sabría de la bonita sorpresa que King tenía para Eda, lo que no sabía es que King veía a Stan como un padre también, mucho menos que también tenía papeles preparados, y ya que técnicamente sigue casado con Eda, el resto es historia

Durante un momento de la batalla, Stan logra acercarse a Belos/Hunter, y logra (de alguna manera) hacer que Belos se traspase a su cuerpo, tal vez Belos pensó que controlarlo a el sería más fácil, pero se equivocó...

Stan ya había enfrentado su maldición frente a frente, encaro a Bill en su propia mente, así que enfrentar a Belos no fue difícil

Sorry this took so long this week kicked my ass ten times over (the only days I was home from school before 8 were Thursday and Friday)

They’re referring to this au for anyone curious

I wanna talk more about the Curtis bros relationship cause it’s cute. Soda is the first to move in with Darry. Basically Darry catches Soda trying to steal his wallet a few days after they meet (he feels bad but also you have to do what you have to do. He honestly did plan on just taking a few dollars and then giving it back to him and pretending it was dropped). Long story short Darry offers him a place to stay for a couple days, but time passes and Darry starts realizing that something is wrong and also notices that Soda is so much happier even after just a few days of having a safe roof over his head and consistent food intake-. So he doesn’t kick Soda out and Soda doesn’t try to leave, and Darry starts to genuinely love him like a little brother even without knowing they’re related. He tries to get him to tell him anything about his past but Soda still stays very secretive. So Darry lets it go over time.

Soda loves Darry so much and wants to tell him they’re actually brothers so bad. At first he was more just thrilled to be allowed to live somewhere safe, and all he had to do to stay was find a part time job to help with bills. After a few weeks of being with Darry everything that happened at his old home and while he was on the run catches up to him. He starts getting a lot of nightmares and breakdowns but does okay at hiding them until one night he breaks something at the house while fooling around. He ends up full on panicking (Darry yells at him for trying to pick up broken glass with his bare hands which doesn’t help-) and Darry just kind of sits with him and talks to him until he calms down. After that his walls come down a little bit more, he tells Darry some things but leaves out anything that could tie to his identity. 

Darry is also trying really hard to fix things with Ponyboy but he is NOT having it-. Darry invites him to do things and is turned down every time and it’s honest to God stressing him out. Ponyboy is trying really hard not to give in because he doesn’t want to forgive or love Darry since he’s so hell bent on convincing himself he’s fine on his own. But when his birthday comes (something he’s given up on celebrating) Darry buys him a book and he doesn’t turn it down. That night his foster parents get into a really ugly argument and he leaves before realizing he has nowhere to go. So, yeah, he ends up at the Curtis house and crashes on the couch. It starts becoming a more common thing after that, but Ponyboy is like ‘this isn’t me forgivng you I just don’t have any other option’. However, he immediately gets attached to Soda because he doesn’t know it’s Soda (he’s livid when he eventually finds out). Him and Darry butt heads and argue a lot, but they’re a lot more careful about it because Soda is so obviously freaked out whenever it happens. And over time Ponyboy understands that it wasn’t Darry’s fault, and Darry apologizes for him being left alone. And they all are one big happy family :3

& ellie who was seriously injured while running away from a foster placement and is placed in the bed next door

they click instantly. sarah is a sweetheart who gets along with anyone and ellie is eager to please a cool college student like any 14 year old would want to

joel and ellie … not so much

ellie gets a kick out of pissing joel off almost as much as sarah gets a kick out of witnessing it .. so ellie amps it up a notch over the course of a few days to really drive joel crazy and make sarah’s time in the hospital better

one of the nurses tells ellie laughter is the best medicine and that’s what sarah deserves. sarah is probably the first person to be nice to ellie like this. to just… accept her with a fond smile. (except maybe riley. but she’s gone now. sometimes ellie thinks sarah looks like her, just a little bit.)

but then ellie is discharged and has to go right back to the place she ran from. her social worker says no one else will take her. of course they wouldn’t.

ellie doesn’t have a phone, but sarah gives her her and joel’s numbers anyways. makes her promise to call if she wants to run again. that way sarah can keep her safe

ellie uses the elusive payphones and stranger’s cells to call sarah sporadically so she knows ellie’s alive, but other than that, it’s inconsistent contact at best. but her birthday is coming up and sarah doesn’t want a gift this year. instead she asks joel to get ellie a phone.. and he says yes. next time ellie calls sarah, it’s 3 days before her birthday, and sarah gets ellie’s address. gets joel to sign her out of the hospital to drive her there and deliver the gift in person. its the most expensive thing ellie’s ever seen and she cries and hugs sarah and then hugs joel

and joel realizes, really, that ellie’s just a kid

she’s a spitfire with a sharp tongue and a huge ego to make up for how small she really is but she’s also just some kid who has never been shown love before

so joel decides to take ellie in, a little bit

not as a foster parent - he and sarah have their hands full, she’s dropping out and the hospital bills are piling up, and ellie’s foster parents are fine anyways, just old and weird - but takes her to visit sarah once a week for a meal together - sarah calls it family dinner, behind ellie’s back but straight to joel’s face - and whenever else sarah wants the company

and maybe he brings sarah to ellie’s school once or twice to pick her up and take her to lunch … or cuz ellie was in an art gallery and the featured piece of the whole exhibit was something she made … or sometimes without sarah when she cuts class and wont tell him why so he just gets her a milkshake and listens to facts about dinosaurs until she agrees to catch the last periodd

christmas is coming up soon and ellie’s excited because she’s gotten them both gifts . for sarah its a couple things - handmade friendship bracelets and a pair of earrings she skipped a week and a half of school lunches for and she painted sarah’s pennyboard with butterflies and crashing waves and a little white moth beside a purple emperor

for joel a huge framed painting of sarah and joel with sarahs grandmother/joels mom who died when sarah was little. joel cooks all her recipes and talks about how much he misses her and says stuff like “she woulda loved you, ellie” so she’s confident he’ll love it and she knows sarah will too

but ellie gets into a fight at school. it’s not really a bad one by any means but it’s the worst her newest placement has seen and they decide she’s too complicated for them. she cant leave the state but she can leave the city, and she’s out of boston with little to no warning, moved all the way out to a “home for troubled kids” in a shitty town called silver lake all the way in berkshire county and only has enough time to frantically tell joel where to find the gifts — in a garbage bag that her art teacher agreed to hold onto

this new placement is way worse than the old people. at most they’d been neglectful. this home is … freaky . a weird religious cult, some branch of christianity that ellie’s never heard of, and all the kids living there treat the director guy, david, like he’s — well. like hes god.

ellie wants to run away again, but this time, she can call sarah! right? except she’s not supposed to have the phone and david finds that thing immediately, sniffs it out like a bloodhound and takes it from her. he makes a deal with her. if she’s good, she use it once a day to call sarah. if she’s really good she can get it back - but she cant tell any of the other girls. david says ellie is special.

ellie’s… never been special before. its gross, a little, the way david says it, but she cant complain much. he feeds her and none of her foster siblings are violent even though shes the smallest by far. she figures david will want her to do chores or handy work, some free labor and she’ll get to call sarah & joel every day. it’s no big deal

within just 5 days of living there, ellie realizes that is not what david meant when he said to be good.

at first its just the lingering touches. a hand a little too high or too low . staring in that weird too-long way .. he tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear and she feels the dirt on his fingers for hours.

and then. it’s christmas eve and she’s planning her escape (she knows where the phone is, and she’ll make a break for it. her bag is packed and she’s quick) when david brings her into his prayer-room for something.

but sarah is out of the car before it’s even stopped and joel’s yelling at her for it and ellie’s covered in blood thats not her own so she just stands and walks to the car in a trance and figures its either the gates of heaven or actually fucking joel and sarah

(“you didnt call me all day,” sarah says later, when ellie asks about it, “i knew something was wrong.” and her phone had gps and joel had a gut feeling and her social worker had a few too many missed calls so they took it into their own damn hands and showed up for her)

ellie trips and falls and lands in joel’s open arms and sarah hugs her from the side, crowding her until the phantom touches david left behind on her skin are completely invisible

joel applies for guardianship and it is shockingly easy

sarah’s been getting better, too. transfers to the community college so she can stay in the house and ellie’s being homeschooled for a while so they spend even more time together

Things that might happen in a MDZS AU where the characters are all into history & know each other through various projects? (e.g. archivist, lecturer, works in a museum, just really into local history, has written a book, podcaster, history phd student, etc.). Brought to you by my obsession with love of history.

ohhhhhhhh you have inadvertently tapped into my other special interest, i was a history (and literature) double-major in my undergrad and then i went on to work in a historical archive for a few years before my masters program!

1. wei wuxian is a local historian who managed to get 3/4 of his undergrad history degree before dropping out of the program to write one very specific and controversial book, which is how he launches his podcast series on patreon. this is how he pays his bills.

2. jiang cheng did NOT drop out of the history program, but you'd never know it based on how his father talks about his accomplishments in comparison to wei wuxian's!!! he burnt out hard and took a job down at the municipal records office where he mostly deals with members of the public who are too into genealogy.

3. lan wangji and lan xichen are both music librarians at the local university. lan wangji also fosters rabbits; lan xichen teaches guqin lessons.

4. even with a scholarship, meng yao couldn't afford to attend the prestigious music program of his dreams and so ends up going to the state public school for records management. he and lan xichen have their meet-cute in the library elevator when they bump into each other and lan xichen drops a bunch of sheet music. their hands touch. their eyes meet. etc etc etc.

5. nie huaisang is a rare books and manuscripts expert with questionable credentials but who nevertheless is THE person to go to if you're looking to verify provenance about a specific text.

6. nie mingjue is really into civil war reenactments.

Okay sorry for taking long to reply I needed to schedule 3hrs out of my day to respond to this because I have a LOT of thoughts- Valzhang was my otp LONG before Valgrace. Be prepared for a lot of caps lock, keysmashes and exited ramblings.

We are phenomenally deprived of Valzhang fanart/fanfiction and that is a CRIME. They are so fun and cute to draw next to each other because they’re just so different- I love how Leo looks SO FUNKING TINY next to Frank.

But seriously, we are lacking. I searched up “Valzhang” on Pinterest earlier and there is NO JOKE only 5 pieces of fanart on there. We need to step up our game!

I’ve already posted this, but here is some Valzhang fanart I drew a while back-

So, how did I come to become the No.1 Valzhang Defender, you ask? Well…

Reading TLH was going slowly (bc of Spotify Audiobooks and their stupid listening hours feature), but I needed to shovel content into my brain like popcorn and so by the end of the first book I’d known all the spoilers and I knew that Frank and Leo would have a rivalry- and I was already SUPER attached to Leo, so I was prepared to HATE Frank.

So imagine my absolute frustration when I read SoN and found myself absolutely falling in love with this massive softie. I tried not to, I really did, but I couldn’t help it.

So, naturally, I was COMPLETELY on board with them becoming besties.

I was also all for their rivalry because it had so much potential for Leo angst- he’s already antagonising himself because of his powers, so someone else treating him like shit would only make him feel worse- thus I have more ways to cathart my own pain through fictional characters, so either way, it was a win-win for me.

But the blossoming bromance we got from it-

Oh my gods.

I already made a post about my feelings on Valzhang and how Caleo is just a shitty re-cycled version of them, but NO WAY was that all my thoughts, so here goes (and bear in mind I am only on HoH so this isn’t even their arc as a whole):

1. FRANK IS NO LONGER AFRAID OF FIRE BECAUSE OF LEO!!!!! I mean HOW CUTEE IS THAT!!!!!! He thought that there was nothing worse than fire, he was terrified of it, it was his biggest weakness. And then he met this tiny annoying hyperactive boy who is the MOST UNLIKELY OF FRIENDS- And he taught him to not be afraid. Like there is a moment where his trousers are literally ON FIRE and he doesn’t freak out because Leo taught him to not be afraid anymore. AND IT’S NOT JUST BECAUSE OF THE POUCH!!!! Frank learns to trust Leo with his life- and there’s that moment in that scene where he’s faced with a choice to give him The Stick or not, and he chooses to trust Leo. He learns that fire (Leo) may seem scary and intimidating, but it can also be good and warm and wholesome and healing.

2. AND IT GOES BOTH WAYYYS!!!!! Leo was afraid of opening up to people, of letting down the mask and letting people see the real him. Sure, he did it a bit with Jason and Piper, but notice how in TLH, he only does it bc he didn’t have a choice. He used his fire powers to save them, and then Jason sort of just pieced together what happened the night Leo’s mom died. The first time he actually TELLS someone about it was when he tells Frank- someone who he thought was big and intimidating and so was putting his defences up with the jokes. To him, Frank looked just like someone who would’ve bullied him in the foster homes, he was the last person Leo thought he’d open up to. But he does, and Frank comforts him. They realise they’re not as different as they thought, and bonded over similar trauma and dead moms.

*Takes another deep breath*

3. LEO REALLY IS SO BRILLIANTLY TINY NEXT TO FRANK. IT. IS. SO. CUTE. Unlike Calypso and Leo, who were not planned out, Frank was WRITTEN to be Leo’s rival. They are exact opposites. The Yin and the Yang. The Sun and The Star (lol). They both juxtapose each other so beautifully- on the surface they contrast and clash but looking deeper they actually parallel each other but ultimately they compliment each other both in flaws and in strengths!!!! (*steadies myself on table* “Whoa, flashback to GCSE Eng Lit- using the same analysis structure. Are you proud of me, Miss Cox?”) But seriously, they initially are rivals because they look like complete opposites- tall/short, muscular/built like a twig, calm and careful/reckless and loud, animals/machines, Roman/Greek, Outwardly confident/Outwardly insecure, etc, etc.

4. But, as I said, looking deeper, they actually have a lot in common. Not just losing their moms, but Leo’s just as afraid of fire as Frank is. The only difference being that Frank’s afraid because of how it could hurt him, Leo’s afraid because of how it could hurt others, which directly contradicts Frank’s initial impression that Leo is self-centred and egotistic. Honey, that’s just an act. They’re also both very insecure, and both feel like the least useful member of the seven, and struggle to feel accepted. Because of how Leo felt threatened by Frank, he put his defences up and lashed out with his jokes, attacking Frank where he was most vulnerable, ridiculing him. They completely misjudged each other at first, and had an ANTI-meet-cute (Leo firing on New Rome) and it took a while for them to take down those walls that they’d built up, making it a lot more meaningful when they do open up.

And now we get onto specific hcs/scenarios I have, and I have a LOT of them:

1. Nico reveals to Leo that Frank’s mom is in Elysium because she gave her life in war to save others, whereas Leo’s mom is not, and instead is in Asphodel, despite all the little things she sacrificed in order to raise him, knowing he’d be important to the fate of the world. This causes a lot of resentment and jealously for Leo, as Frank has the one thing he desperately wants- a chance to see his mom again, make things right, get closure. Frank is annoyed by the fact that Leo is suddenly acting so cold and angry towards him, until Leo finally explains why.

2. Leo’s lactose-free mac n cheese is Frank’s favourite thing on earth. He has some sort of magic ingredient that makes the fake cheese not taste so plasticky, but he refuses to tell Frank what it is so Frank has to keep begging him to make it. Leo also makes it high in fibre and carbs, so it’s good workout food. Leo makes sure all his meals are Frank-Friendly.

3. I need to see them in battle together. Frank is incredibly anxious and overprotective of his tiny reckless bf/bff. Leo’s just a ball of freaking energy bouncing around going “ahahahbahjabkakdfkajkjaaa” and Frank’s like “Leo, no, those have teeth-“ He’s fine though.

4. As much as Frank acts like he hates Leo, he would risk his life for him in a heartbeat. I imagine Leo gets injured in battle and Frank drops whatever he’s doing and just fucking RUNS to help him. I can vividly picture him transforming into an elephant and scooping an unconscious Leo up in his trunk, and carrying him over to the medic tent. Yes, he’s currently being fired on by so many enemies, but nothing matters except getting Leo to safety.

5. Frank helps Leo with his machines. He can turn into small animals and get into tiny spaces, and he can become desert creatures, so the heat in the engine room doesn’t bother him.

6. Frank often finds Leo asleep on top of his blueprints, his welders-goggles askew, and he turns into a cat and curls up next to him to keep him company.

7. Also, when Leo skips meals because he’s spent too long working and he’s lost track of time, Frank makes sure to bring him food and water and his ADHD meds… and then he asks him to make him some mac n cheese.

8. Frank knows about PTSD from seeing his mom and her military friends, and so is often there to comfort Leo when he has flashbacks to the night his mom died, or one of the other miserable things that happened in his childhood.

9. All the things that used to freak Frank out about Leo (Leo making fun of his insecurities, Leo’s fire, the whole Sammy thing-) they are now 100% comfortable joking about together. Before, Frank would get upset when Leo ridiculed him, but now Leo does it as a sign of affection rather than as self-defence, and Frank can tell the difference. It is their love language.

10. When I write fanfiction, I often write important scenes when I think of them, and then write around them. Sometimes, it’s just one or two lines, for example I found this in my notes app the other day:

“I hate Hera,” Leo said, “She yeeted my dad off a cliff.”

“Yote,” Frank corrected.

And I had nothing written around it, nowhere to put it, it was just lying there. Anyway, that was important to share.

11. Also, I have this:

“I’m hugging you now,” Frank said, pulling Leo into an embrace and squeezing him tight.

“O- Okay, big guy,” Leo said, his voice muffled in Frank’s chest. His tiny body was practically swallowed in Frank’s bear-hug. He squirmed and fought and wriggled, but his weakling arms worked about as well as spaghetti against Frank’s brick-like build.

“No,” Frank insisted, “I will smother you with love and affection.”

“Get. Off.”

“No.”

“Let go of me, Zhang, or I’ll burn you.”

Frank let go. Leo rubbed his bruised arms.

12. I ship them platonically, but the joke-flirting is 1000% a thing they do. Hazel is the main pedaler of this, and often introduces them as “My boyfriend Frank, and Frank’s boyfriend Leo.”

13. Frank reluctantly admits to Leo that he likes Taylor Swift. Leo is obvs a swiftie, so absolutely goes MENTAL at this news, ofc ridicules him mercilessly for it, despite how hypocritical it makes him look (“This is not about me!”), but still insists they sit down with Hazel and make friendship bracelets (Frank no longer has the heart to tell him that he wasn’t actually a huge fan, just had a couple of her albums and liked her songs, unlike Leo who knows every word to every song, all the lore behind it, and Tay’s favourite colour, star sign, and shoe size.) AND I KNOW I HEADCANNON EVERYONE AS A SWIFTIE SHUT UP LET ME PROJECT.

14. Frank buys Leo fidget toys he think’s he’ll like. Sure, Leo can make his own, but it’s the sentiment that counts.

15. And they stay friends after the War. Frank frequently visits from New Rome University. They have long iris messages where they gossip and talk shit.

16. Leo becomes godfather to Frazel’s children. Absolutely SPOILS THEM ROTTEN (I also have a shit-tonne of hcs about Leo babysitting Percabeth’s kids, so lmk if you’d like to hear that.) Will visit the Zhang-Levesque household on the weekends, makes the kids gifts, teaches them how to safely use a fire extinguisher, helps them prank their dad.

17. I know Jason is meant to be Leo’s best friend BUT if Valgrace was cannon then that would leave room for Frank to be the BFF. NO BUT, YOUR HONOUR, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND- They started out hating each other, but then became INSEPARABLE once they took the time to get to know each other and realised they were actually really cool people. It’s not enough for them to be friends, they need to be BEST FRIENDS. They need to be their ONE AND ONLY. They need to knock on each other’s cabin doors on the Argo II at 3am and have long discussions about Their Feelings. They need to be 100% comfortable with each other and tell each other everything. Yes, Leo is annoying but he is Frank’s annoyance. Yes, Frank is a goof but he’s Leo’s goof. BEST. FRIENDS.

They’re just such an unlikely pairing, I love them sm.

And it did tie in nicely to the ideas of Ruby and the Doctor both being abandoned, Ruby being a foster sister and the Doctor being the last of their kind. Two baby episodes in a row is enough for me though, glad it looks like next ep is baby-free, space or otherwise 😅

Okay I cant -- I need to say it out loud.

I am 100% sure, at this point, you are my favourite artist so far. And I have to honestly thank you for a lot of stuff so let me get to the point before my anxiety takes me back --

I came across you less than a month ago. I don't remember if I saw your art before reading your fictions (Mon Horrible Cherì was my first) or the other way around, but both inspired me so much I can't describe it properly. Art itself is my absolute weak spot. In my past years I always struggled working on that, I was never happy with my results, and mostly had drawn to pay bills than for my own happyness. In the end I hated it at the point that every line I drew was a cut on my hand instead of a moment of joy. And that was horrendous.

But then I came across your art, at some point - and I was amazed. Your style is something I wished to achieve years ago, or very similar to that at least, so I was totally into looking for more, and more, and more. I can't produce art of that quality, but for the first time I wasn't envious of another artist's ability and talent, I was just... Amazed. I felt very happy, can't say why, but your style totally fascinated me. It still do. Anytime you post something new it gives me a shot of serotonine, it makes me feel happy and inspires me to get back on my Huion and draw something too. I started to push it through everyday, and in less than a month I grew a lot. You don't know that, but you pushed me into art with a passion I didn't had since I was 16, and I turned 30 couple months ago. Now it gives me joy everytime I draw. It doesn't matter if the art I produce is no good, or if I change my style everytime (I'm trying a lot of styles right now), the only thing that matter is the way I feel when I sit here and just let my inspiration go. And I feel happy. Happy to draw. Happy to experiment. Happy to share. Somehow I don't feel ashamed of my art anymore, and I was for a long time. I improved so much in these weeks. I watched carefully almost all of your timelapses (I am in love with all of them btw) and followed your tutorials more than once. Your examples, the way you work, is just inspirational for me. I've seen someone was thankful to you for the way you use references and says people out there to do it too: I want to thank you for that too. References was a taboo until last month for me, and I was SO wrong! Those helps so much!

So, well. I am not sure I wrote this all correctly, english is not my native language (I'm italian) and I may have done some mistakes, well, I do not care. I just hope I was able to express you my gratitude for all you did for me - I had to let you know how much this means to me everyday.

ted has died the most times out of any hatchetfield character but we all knew that. every time the world ends, he dies twice (main ted and homeless guy).

doctor laszlo, the doctor who sewed hannah’s finger back on in yellow jacket, is a mad scientist who claims to have “conquered death” and will feature in the possible NMT3 story “Frankenruth”.

bill has a literal soulmate, though we don’t know who it is (sylvia?? his ex-wife?? TED?? no idea)

in at least one timeline, becky and tom are engaged and have a baby called marie <3

hidgens is either haunted by the ghosts of the workin boys, haunted by evil creatures pretending to be the workin boys, or insane and hallucinating ghosts of the workin boys. they seem to be led by chad, who is confirmed to NOT be pokey in the workin boys short film, chad was genuinely just a guy hidgens liked, but it is unclear whether or not the chad the ghosts talk about is the real chad or something else.

Pink Floyd sold the rights to the music catalog of their songs. The deal with Sony amounted to $400 million.

James Blunt

British pop-rock artist James Blunt promised on his social networks that he would change his name if the anniversary reissue of his first album Back to Bedlam (2004) again took first place in the British charts. According to the musician, fans will be able to choose a new name for him.

In 2005, 2.4 million copies of Blunt's debut album were sold. In 2009, their number reached 3 million, which made the longplay the best-selling in Britain in the 2000s. The release includes hits such as You're Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover.

Life after Aerosmith continues.

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton said on social media that his new band Close Enemies will give their first concert on October 11 in Nashville. The band also includes drummer Tony Brock, vocalist Chasen Hampton, guitarists Peter Stroud and Trace Foster.

In his post, Hamilton wrote:

A book about Bon Jovi will be released for the band's 40th anniversary.

Genesis Publications and Bon Jovi have announced the book "Bon Jovi Forever". BON JOVI gave Genesis unprecedented access to their entire archive to create an exciting journey through 40 years of the band's history, during which she created 16 albums.

Jon Bon Jovi says: "I never planned what I want people to feel when listening to our songs. But when you compose, it's often the songs that are closest to you that pass the test of time and turn out to be closest to others. If the song is written from the heart, and not just 'worked out', there is a high probability that the listener will find something important in your story."

John himself and his colleagues actively participated in the work on "Bon Jovi Forever", so the publication will have the status of an official one. The exact date has not yet been announced, but it is already known that the book will be available both separately and as part of a box set, which will also include an exclusive seven-inch vinyl record.

The trailer for the documentary "Elton John: Never Too Late" has been released.

"The film follows Elton John as he looks back on his life and the amazing early days of his 50-year career on this emotionally charged, personal and inspiring journey," the synopsis says. - As he prepares for his last concert in North America, at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes us back in time to talk about the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of his early years and how he overcame adversity, violence and addiction to become the icon he is today.

The documentary, directed by R. J. Cutler and David Furnish, premiered on September 6 at the Toronto Film Festival. The world premiere will take place on December 13 on Disney+.

Legendary Yes and King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford, who worked as a liaison with music for 15 years, returned to the stage as a special guest of the British jazz band Pete Roth Trio.

The band's website uses the phrase "jazz without borders". The musician is comforted that "they are creating jazz for a new worship of music that is free from the usual jazz stereotypes."

Bruford announced that he would start recording and releasing soon, on January 1, 2009. His last public concert with Earthworks took place on July 31, 2008. After retiring, Bruford earned a doctorate in music from the University of Surrey and wrote an autobiography, "Bill Bruford: The Autobiography. Yes, King Crimson, Earthworks and More”, which received many positive reviews.

With the exception of a brief participation in the Ann Bailey's Soul House cover band, Bruford's single foundation for the drum kit took place in 2023 at a concert in memory of John Wetton, who participated in the song "Let's Stick Together".

The British band The Cure

She confirmed rumors that their album "Songs Of A Lost World" will be released on November 1. The longplay will be the first for the artists since 2008.

The band also presented the first track from the release of "Alone". According to The Cure's frontman Robert Smith, the nearly seven-minute song helped him understand the focus of the entire album.

The full-length album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales. The gloomy, minimalistic cover was created by a long-time colleague of the team, designer and photographer Andy Vella. The work depicts the 1975 sculpture Bagatelle by Slovenian Janez Pirnat.

Ozzy Osbourne named the most favorite song from his repertoire.

"I have a real weakness for the ballad Mama, I'm Coming Home. The lyrics were written by Lemmy — but I described to him exactly what I wanted to say in it, that is, I set the content," says Ozzy in an interview with Classic Rock. "But I'll tell you what, I don't really have a personal favorite. People always ask me which is my favorite album that I've made — and I don't have one! All my recordings reflect either the fun and chaos or the terrible circumstances that happened to me. Each of them is a reflection of me at that time."

The song "Mama, I'm Coming Home" was released as the second single from the album "No More Tears" in late November 1991. It was one of two collaborations with Lemmy on the album, the other being "Hellraiser".

In an interview with Classic Rock in 2013, Lemmy recalled how he came up with the lyrics of the song.

"I came up with this song," said the late Motörhead leader. "He sent me a text about what he would like to sing, and I think he gave me the title, but that's it. I'm good at it because that's how I write our songs — I come up with a title, and then I write a song based on it. Later, Ozzy and I were doing an interview in the same tent at this festival, and one guy asked: "The song Mama I'm Coming Home is the most personal thing you've written. Was she a big jerk to you?" And Ozzy just said, "He wrote it!"

The frontman of the British band Coldplay, Chris Martin, sang one of the new songs of the band in a karaoke bar in Las Vegas under the guise of another person.

Chris Martin took to the stage in a baggy suit, wig, glasses and with an inflatable balloon in his hand. In a local bar, the musician performed the song "All My Love". This track will be part of the band's upcoming album "Moon Music", which is scheduled for release on October 4. There will be a total of ten tracks in the longplay.

In August, Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres" tour became the highest-grossing rock tour of all time. Before that, the record belonged to Elton John.

Ringo Starr announced the cancellation of concerts in Philadelphia and New York due to his illness.

According to the artist's representative on social networks, Ringo caught a cold and the doctor advised him to rest. Starr played a total of 10 concerts before falling ill. His All-Starr Band now includes Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stewart, Gregg Bissonnette and Buck Johnson.

Hi Jen. Would you mind giving relationship advice?

I have been in a relationship for almost a decade. She didn’t have a job when we first got together, but she previously had a part time job so I thought that she was mostly just between jobs. As we’ve stayed together, she still hasn’t got a job despite me asking and begging her to. She has some issues so it’s kind of understandable but it increasingly stresses me out.

I’m staying with her and her mom (can’t afford a place on my own and have 0 family due to homophobia). I love her but I feel like she doesn’t love me or she would get a job. It’s literally the only thing that I want her to do and she’ll be super sweet and a chivalrous butch. But she just won’t get a job and feels incapable. When I feel like we’re doing kind of okay financially I don’t mind. But other times I feel really taken advantage of, unloved, resentful, hurt, and confused. I think I’ve enabled the behavior too long and she’s never going to change but I literally can’t afford to up the ante and give an ultimatum since everything requires dual income right now. (I just wish the dual income was mine and hers rather than mine and her mom’s). It’s also upsetting because I feel like she doesn’t care enough about her mom either. I feel like the one time I brought that up, she did kind of consider trying for a part time job (more seriously than ever before) which is more than she’s ever done for me. So I feel very unloved to say the least.

I’ve tried communicating and feel at a loss.

I am going to answer this from 17 years of experience. My wife quit her job within a year of us getting together and was in and out of a few jobs but would sooner or late come home and say things like "This job is really stressing me out and It is making me feel sick can I quit? Will we be okay if I quit". I loved her so I, trying to be the supportive wife, would always say "yes, of course, there are other jobs" but knowing full well she might go months without looking or applying for jobs.

Once we became parents she took that opportunity to be a "stay at home mom" but the problem was she didn't clean or do paper work or even want to take them to appointment or do homework. SO i worked two jobs and dealt with the household management for most of the time we were foster parents. IT was terribly stressful and looking back I realize we would not have been constantly financially struggling if she would have just worked an average full time job.

The only thing that drove her to get a full time job was when we separated and she knew the relationship was ending. I STILL ended up partially supporting her until she was able to meet someone new and share living expenses.

In 17 years she did not change. Your girlfriend is not going to change and you need to decide if you want to consistently struggle to support two people on one wage OR just support yourself on one wage. My advice is to decide if you love her enough to give up a chance at financial sustainability. I know you are kind of "stuck" right now. Start to plan ahead. DO not give her any money. IF she asks it all went to other bills and there is none to share. You should stop buying food, nights out and gas. Pay only her mom or ask to take on particular bills and pay them yourself so you know the money is getting to things like water or electric.

It sounds like her mom relies on you as much as you rely on her for help to keep the house/apartment. Use that to you advantage. It is easier said that done but if you want to offer a solutions by where you all stay in the house start a budget sheet listing the house and shared expenses. Divide it by 3 and present that number to your girlfriend. Pay only your 1/3 of the expenses.

If you don't feel like you can do that it is understandable. I would make an exit plan and stick too it. Don't spend the rest of your life with not stability or financial security and working yourself to death in the process. You don't owe her that. Make a savings account, start to look around for roommates at your job or in friend groups. It feels terrible to be sneaking around and making break up plans long before it is feasible for you to break up but you might have to in order to keep yourself safe.

It is possible that you can break it off with her and continue to "rent" from her mom. It sounds like your GF has little respect and no empathy for you and the fact that you are working so hard all the time when she does nothing. Perhaps she only loves what you can give her not you as a person. I hate to even say it but either way, you deserve to be happy and secure and she is preventing both of those things from happening.

She won't change so it is up to you to change your situation.

Sam must have found Claire by now or else he'd call. He found her room easily and has been sitting in the dark waiting for her to come back. When she does, she is certainly surprised.

"Took you long enough."

Claire gasps when she sees Sam.

"How did you...?"

Sam holds up the postcard she gave him. "Also, you checked in under the name 'Claire Novak'. A little pro-tip? Use an alias."

"Okay," she scoffs.

"Claire, we just wanna help."

"I didn't ask for your help."

Claire walks past Sam to the bed so she can pack her things. Sam looks behind him at the far wall where there are clippings of her mom, a map showing the locations she's been sighted in, and other things regarding her mom.

"You know, this is good. I was impressed. How did you get the information that she was here?"

Claire tosses him a book, a book that her mother journaled in. "It's mostly empty promises and regret, but there were enough breadcrumbs to get me here."

"How did you get your mom's diary?"

"The motel manager sent Mom's stuff to her last known address after she disappeared. It bounced around and eventually found its way to me at one of the foster homes."

"You came all this way just to tell her off?"

"Do you always get along with your mom?" she scoffs.

"I never got the chance to find out. My mom died when I was a baby."

Claire's face falls. "I'm sorry. I didn't..."

"Oh, no, it's okay. I got to know her later in life, and I suppose we got along okay."

"What?"

"In this line of work, death isn't always permanent."

"This is different," Claire sighs. "My mom left me."

Sam opens her journal and reads a passage. "'Claire, I'll be home soon. We'll be home soon.' That doesn't sound like somebody who wanted to abandon you. Did you check her credit cards?"

"They wouldn't send me her records."

"Okay, I know you need to be somewhere far away from all of us, but let me get my laptop. I'll teach you how to hack into her credit card records. It'll help you get a lead on your mom."

This piques her interest. "Show me, but then I'm gone."

Sam leaves and gets the laptop out of the car he stole. Claire hangs onto his every word as he shows her how to hack. It's basic but it's enough to give her what she wants.

"There we go."

"Seriously? It's that easy?"

"Yes. I can also show you how to set up fake credit cards. It will make life on the road a lot easier."

"You guys are credit card scammers, too?"

"Yeah. Hunting monsters doesn't exactly pay the bills."

"Then why do you do it?"

"To help people and make a difference."

"That's it?"

"That's not enough?"

"Looks like to me Y/N isn't doing it to help people."

"Look, she's soulless, okay? Everything that made her good is gone. She's walking around with the bad parts of herself. We're trying to get her back. Just don't take whatever she says to heart. She's only doing it to hurt you."

The door opens and you, Dean, and Cas walk in. Cas wanted to get her a little stuffed animal as a parting gift which you verbally laughed at. Claire is immediately on edge when she sees you.

"Don't worry, buttercup. I'm here in good faith."

"Don't listen to a word she says," Dean bites out and closes the door.

"Why are you here?" she asks.

You look at Cas with a smirk. "I'm here to help."

"Sure you are," she scoffs.

"Did you find Ronnie?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, he gave up a name--Peter Holloway. He said he was a faith healer."

"So, what are you thinking? Angel?"

"Maybe but it sounded like he has healed some people, but he may have fed off others."

"Yeah, that's weird. Alright, let's look into this Peter Holloway guy."

Sam gets to work on his laptop while Cas walks over to Claire with the gift he bought.

"Happy Birthday, Claire." She doesn't know what to say but takes the gift. "I got it at Al's Toy Barn."

Claire pulls out a plush cat from the bag. "Thanks, I guess."

"Whoa. I just got an alert from the local P.D.," Sam says. "Ronnie's body was just found outside of Susie's bar."

"You were just supposed to talk to Ronnie. What did you do to him?" Claire gasps at you.

"I didn't lay a hand on him."

"Y/N, that's not exactly true."

"Okay, but I didn't kill him."

"Alright, I'm gonna get suited up and head back over there," Dean says.

"I'm coming with you," Cas says.

"I'm coming with you, too," Claire adds.

Dean looks at Sam.

"You wanna get in on this?"

"No, I should probably stay here and research Holloway."

"Do I have to come?" you ask.

"Yes."

You roll your eyes and follow Dean out of the motel room. Claire is next, eager to get in on the action.

"Cas, wait," Sam says. "What happened at the bar?"

"We've all been worried about Dean getting worse but Y/N is. I'm afraid she's getting to that line where if she crosses it, she can't be saved."

You four head over to the crime scene where a bunch of officers are already at. The detective in charge is off to the side checking something in her notebook.

"Officer? Agents Clapton, Page, and Cocker."

"Whose your little friend?"

"None of your damn business so just tell us what we need to know," you say.

You show her your glowing red eyes, and her eyes glow the same color. She immediately becomes cooperative.

"Stab wound. Clean through. No sign of robbery. Wallet and everything was still on his person."

"What are the red marks there on the point of entry?"

You look closer to see a large triangular hold where the blade pierced his body Below the hole on either side are two small, circular holes.

"Burn marks, maybe. I don't know. We pulled his cell phone records. He made two calls to the same number prior to the attack. I tried the number, but the line's dead now. Probably a burner." Her phone rings. "Will you excuse me?"

"The wound looks like an angel blade, but the point of entry is wider. I can't explain those marks," Cas says.

"Best birthday ever," Claire mutters.

With nothing left to get at this crime scene, you head back to the motel where Sam is still typing on his computer.

"Hey, I got a lead on Peter."

"Oh, good because he's probably about to split town. Ronnie made a few phone calls before he got shish kebabed."

"You think to give Holloway a heads up?"

"If he did, that's probably what got him killed. So, we gotta track him down before he bails."

"Great. According to county records, Holloway owns a farmhouse about thirty or forty miles from here, so I cross-referenced it with Amelia's credit card receipts." He gets up and points to Claire's big map on the wall. "The house is about right there, and she's been hitting up Biggersons and Gas n' Sips all around the area, probably staking the place out.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go." Claire says eagerly.

"Claire, you are not going out there," Cas says.

"She's my mother."

"That house could be empty and it could be a trap. It's too dangerous. I can't let anything happen to you."

As Cas talks, your mark burns with intensity. It's been itching for another kill and your eyes immediately go over to Claire. The only reason you went on this stupid hunt is her. If you're going to do anything, now would be the time. Not now. Be patient.

"Anything else you mean," she scoffs.

"Claire, you're not going," Dean says.

"You're not either, Dean."

"What?"

"You might not have been the one to hit Ronnie but I could feel the anger radiate out of you. If Y/N didn't do it, you would have."

Dean is about to protest when Sam jumps in.

"Dean, Cas is right. We need to keep the Mark in check. We don't know what's out there. You know, maybe you should... Maybe you should stay here."

"You want to bench me again? What about Y/N? Are you gonna bench her? She has the Mark, too."

"You're not the one with magic. Magic that can obliterate anything," you smirk. "See them try to bench me now."

Dean keeps his mouth shut and you smirk.

"Alright. Fine. I'll stay and babysit." Dean turns to Sam. "If anything happens, anything at all--"

"Yeah, we'll call you. No fighting."

"Yeah, tell her that," Dean scoffs and points to Claire.

"Both of you," Cas says sternly.

You leave with Sam and Cas, once again in the back seat. You like it back here. You can observe them without them knowing you're watching them. Cas is a very hard man to read because he's an angel. You can't get inside his mind otherwise you'd have gotten the location of your kids before you had to get out of the car yesterday.

"When this is over, should I leave Claire alone?" Cas asks.

"What? No, man. She's family. Well, I mean, she's not exactly family but she's close enough. I mean, you two have history. Simple as that."

"So, do you think she's better off on her own?"

"Cas, she just turned eighteen."

"You were alone when you left for college at that age, weren't you?"

"Yeah, but that's different."

"How, Sam?"

"Here's all I know... Going it alone is no way to live. You being there for her, even if she thinks she doesn't want you to be there for her is good for both of you."

"Maybe."

You slide over to Cas so you're closer to him and touch his arm. He tenses when he feels you but he's not going to show you that he's afraid of you. You squeeze his arm and let him feel your magic and its power.

"So, where are my children?"

Cas is rock solid now. He looks over at Sam who looks at him. Neither of them says a word. You squeeze a tad harder and Cas clears his throat.

"I don't know."

You laugh and squeeze his arm much tighter now.

"I don't believe you."

Cas looks at you with a deadly glare.

"Get your hand off me."

"Or what?" His eyes shine blue to warn you not to mess with an angel. With your kids on the line, he might be willing to do everything in his power to protect them and you're not sure you'd win a fight with him... now. You let go of his arm and his eyes dim back to their normal color. "When I ask you again, and I will, have a better answer."

Sam doesn't say a word for the rest of the trip because he's scared he'll say something to make you suspicious that Cas knows more than he's letting on. You already are but there is slight doubt in your mind that he knows anything and Sam wants to keep it that way. Sam pulls up to the farmhouse and scopes it out.

"It looks abandoned," Cas says.

"Only one way to find out." You get out of the car first followed by the two men. Sam walks around to the trunk where the weapons are and grabs what he needs. "You two take the barn, I'll take the house."

Ok, so this is a little unorthodox for me because I usually only put songs from the characters' perspectives on their respective playlists, but I can't get this scene out of my head. In my mind, this is Mazey's perspective from the chunk of that first downtime when Fabian invites her and everyone else in dance class to Seacaster Manor, and Fabian starts to really come out of his shell.

Think of it like a slow-burn montage of the two dancing (literally dancing) around their potential feelings for one another. The song has a really nice groove to it, and it matches up with Mazey's cool and earnest personality.
