I genuinely wonder what was going through Nagato’s head when he recruited the Akatsuki. Because all of the members are literally so diverse and odd that I’m completely convinced he just saw S-Rank on the bingo book and let them in.

Konan: Ok, we have a literal shark that swings a sword about.

Nagato: Amazing, he’s in.

Konan: He needs a partner, what about this family murdering 13 year old that may or may not be suicidal?

Nagato: Didn’t that Madara guy give him a recommendation? Let him in.

I feel like @sloaners fic, Akatsuki Babysitter's Club is such a classic naruto fic, definitely up there in "the fics most ever" but I can recognize Im possibly biased and projecting my own experience w the fic onto the fandom

Either way, it's a classic in my heart <3

Anyways I re-read it yesterday, and it was just as much of a riot as the first time I read it. Then I laid down to sleep and stared at the ceiling then shot up and immediatley went to my tablet and the next thing I knew it was 8 am and I hadn't slept at all, but I did make this cute comic for the fic, so !!!

Stupid fic concept I low key love:

The Akatsuki gets isekai'd into a modern-esque world. All individually. Not realizing it had happened to anyone else. And gradually find each other months or years later. Just squinting at each other as they see how they each managed to make a living / survive in this new world. Like dude I've seen you burn a man's flesh off his bones what do you mean you work at the library and host themed learning months for the kids now.

And this like continues when he becomes Tobi as well and sometimes it just slips into his speech as Madara causing both Konan and Nagato to think that he’s got a split personality because there’s no way this is just one guy.

Obito: Ok, so first we’ll bring them the heads of their family members, and then as they scream in anguish we’ll chuck their bodies at them before using the distraction to kill them.
